3021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we all been entertained? Can we finally have business as usual? on: August 02, 2017, 07:29:39 AM
I guess both split and fork sagas are finally finished. I hope the community has blown out some steem, trolls and speculators have been busy these days and I hope now we can get back to the growth and relative stability we have had before.

What do you expect next in crypto? Do you think we re finally going to see $3k BTC? Will alts start bouncing again? Will we see waves of new users flocking into crypt? Maybe another fork?
If bitcoin hadn't forked we would be over $3000 now.

Who is Shuya Yang?  Huh

No one?
3023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash? More like bitcoin crash! on: August 01, 2017, 11:12:07 PM

afterwards they will really cash it out and take the free cash as most of us really doesn't care about this project but free money is not bad at all.

"Free Money"? Where does that come from?
[/quote]

It comes from the damaged price and reputation of Bitcoin and the dilution of it's brand.

I used to think that it was just bankers that were cunts but it seems that the cryptosphere is getting polluted with them too.
3024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash? More like bitcoin crash! on: August 01, 2017, 11:05:05 PM
Even I think bitcoin cash is not worth to holding, it's better to sell it now before its price falls hard.
I'm not sure the price of bitcoin cash will increase.

The facts are these: 14,000 traded their BCC so far. There are about 20,000,000 BCC in the world. I don't see the whales, nor anyone else, dumping BCC at all. Where are the 19,986,000 BTC holders not yet selling any penny of BCC? Will it crash or go to $10,000? Maybe it will crash. But so far, only 14,000 coins have spoken, and BCC is available on 30 pairs now across 10 or more exchanges.
Eh because it's not safe to transact or they don't know how to?  Roll Eyes
3025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cash Fork has Officially happened on: August 01, 2017, 10:58:06 PM
Wow ... 2 more blocks already!!!

What happened to all the parrots on here that said they would be dumping? I'm still waiting!

People are waiting until it is safe to move their coins?  Roll Eyes

3027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 09:00:57 PM

Disappointed there was no html marquee banner scrolling across the top with up to the minute updates.

right?
It could've scrolled right or left, I wasn't really bothered about that, but it was missing.
3028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 08:37:48 PM
Executive summary

Bitcoin is working fine and you can use it as you were before, possibly with slightly more reorg risk for a while.

Disappointed there was no html marquee banner scrolling across the top with up to the minute updates.
3029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain Cash was stillborn. (ITS DEAD!) on: August 01, 2017, 02:59:54 PM
EPIC FAIL!
Bitmain Cash has less then 5% of Bitcoins hash power.
I'm calling it this thing is dead in the water. Even if it manages to produce a block in the next 24 hours it can't survive unless it gains a huge amount of hash power.

I always knew this would nowhere. This was another setup by Bitmain to short the bitcoin price, it's what they always do, just look at the recent flash crashes. Im sure Jihan and co had shorts set and made a lot of money on the suckers that dumped due FUD.

They also use ViaBTC to support experiments like Bitcoin Cash and see the kind of support they get.

What worries me is the segwit2x hardfork in november, if the NYC agreement happens, they will fork into scammy anti privacy software (google btc1 bloq)

Big blockers ALWAYS ruin the day.
This.
3030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy First Overly Dramatic Bitcoin Hard Fork Guys! on: August 01, 2017, 02:26:04 PM
Well this is embarrassing lol. All this noise and they can't mine the first block lol. There is no ETA on when the first block will be mined. It could take ages.

Has it been mined yet? The less of this shit mined the better.
3031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH hashrate? on: August 01, 2017, 01:31:15 PM
5% or less... far less then everyone thought ... this could take hours. They are currently working on their first block Bitcoin's network has already moved on and left them behind.

Kill it. Kill it with fire.
3032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [UPDATED]: [BREAKING NEWS]: It Is Now 1st August 12:20 UTC on: August 01, 2017, 12:27:54 PM
Any ideas how much hashing power they have? Havent seen a large block yet.. its only 10 mins though.

It could take an hour for 1st block of their shitcoin.
3033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy First Bitcoin Fork on: August 01, 2017, 12:25:06 PM
So yeah it just happened. Do you feel any different guys?  Grin Congratulations!  Cool

It's not the first fork. Ffs.
3034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [UPDATED]: [BREAKING NEWS]: It Is Now 1st August 12:20 UTC on: August 01, 2017, 12:20:43 PM
It's time.
3035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork for Dummies? on: August 01, 2017, 07:27:47 AM
I just wonder.

Did the fork happened already?

What is the new coin appeared? BCH/BCC/Bitcoin Cash?

Where is official web site? Where is block explorer site?

Which is official wallet download?

Can we double our bitcoins really?

The UASF has been avoided. The BCC is scheduled for 12:20 UTC, or about 5 hours from now.
3036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No fork detected--> Segwit is now active UASF is active! WE did it! on: August 01, 2017, 07:11:48 AM

UASF is being enforced Segwit is now active and no fork is detected!
UASF has not been activated. No forks have been detected. So far.
3037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: It Is Now 1st August 00:00 UTC on: August 01, 2017, 01:59:00 AM
So far all nodes operational as normal.

3038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: It Is Now 1st August 00:00 UTC on: August 01, 2017, 12:15:13 AM
Nothing has happened in concrete so far, correct?
Zilch so far.

https://www.btcforkmonitor.info

Following it through there, thank you.

I've already seen exchanges like Yobit crediting users that had BTC there with the equivalent BCC.

Can this already be done by users that have wallets such as Electrum, etc?

Thank you!
I haven't looked into that. I am waiting for the dust to settle before I will be moving anything.
