3021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My mistakes x Realization. on: October 10, 2020, 03:21:41 PM
I don't know what you will get after moderators join but honestly I did not know or read all forum rules when I began. Fortunately, I know that if I copy and paste something from somewhere, I leave link. I learned it from my life, from university, not from the forum. Few weeks later, I read that rule of the forum and felt I was very lucky to don't try to hide links when I copy and paste.

For your mistakes, I don't know. Moderators will see, investigate and make decisions.

I never feel fine if someone try to steal my ideas, my reports, my documents without "Thanks". On Internet, you can not find real authors so links can help you say thanks to authors indirectly.

3023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Square & Twitter's Boss, Jack Dorsey buys $50M worth of Bitcoin. on: October 10, 2020, 03:32:44 AM
The crazy thing is that this isn't a huge company in the grand scheme of things and they only invested 1% of their reserves.  Imagine if Microsoft or Apple decided to put 5% of their reserves into Bitcoin...  Things could get crazy fast.  This news in itself isn't a game changer, but if it signals the beginning of the Corporate Bitcoin Rush, we could be seeing the start of what will eventually lead to the great bubble of November 2021.
$50 mil. is not much capital but it causes people are crazy with the news.

3024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: October 09, 2020, 04:03:50 PM
:)Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 12 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??
Simply. Bitcoin was created to destroy national bank systems. Governments and their bank systems are fearing of bitcoin. The more adoption of bitcoin globally and nationally, the more nightmares they will have.

The message in the genesis block says it.

3025  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: October 09, 2020, 03:43:41 PM
I asked one of my friends and he said delete the posts that have problems with the rules. I did it willingly.
I do not know, is my presence on this site really a big problem?
I erase past mistakes, I get reprimanded. I correct, I get reprimanded again.
Wrong posts were deleted and I see no reason for untimely errors. Wink
Delete posts don't help you if you plagiarised. Moderators have Trash can to check your deleted posts.

In my opinion, the way a person speaks reflects his identity.
I am also still blamed for past mistakes.
<snip>
In the early days, I said that I was a newcomer and needed your help.
But you addressed me with titles such as weasel, liar, bastard, and so on.
And we will see where God will take us. Angry Angry
He helped you by don't report you but you rejected his kindness.

I warned you for plagiarism instead of reporting you. Yet you reacted by denying it and telling me my remark upset you. Hardly 24 hours later you came back whining on your knees and begging for forgiveness.

You're a lying weasel and I think everyone should be reminded about that every other day.

So yes, it's personal because you made it personal.

Delete your merited posts too. What?

From the perspective of a complete beginner, Electrum is a nightmare, probably like most desktop/mobile wallets - so most use online wallets no matter how unsafe they are.
If only to use Electrum to receive and send bitcoin, it is simple.

Without care of change address, fee, wallet verification, fee estimation (Choose ETA or mempool), Replace by fee, Child pay for parent, Electrum is simple to use. I don't know what wallet is the simpliest wallet.

I agree the version 4.0.2 is different and can cause troubles for me if I am familiar with old versions. Newbies, do they have to start from empty mind? No familiarity with old version, begin with empty mind and experience the version 4.0.2. I think it is not bad for them.

How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum

Also for Android, you should consider using the app Orbot. It routes all traffic from all your apps, not just your browser, through the Tor network.
That link is for Orbot app.

Usually my limit of sending merit to a post is 5 but in your case I thought to send out more just to help you out and with this hope that you make posts like this very often.
Thank you for your help in merit and kind words, Royse777. I will never forget this batch.

I am not proud of myself but I always try to make good posts. Mine are not as high as Legendary like you and others but sure I don't make shitposts.

Newbies should use simpler wallets than electrum. There are a lot of great alternatives
Simpler? What are simpler wallets than Electrum? Please help me with your list of simpler wallets.

In crypto, safety and control of private keys/ mnemonic seed are the most important factors when you choose a wallet to use. No one need to use a simpler wallet but you don't own private keys or mnemonic seed of that wallet.

Non-custodial wallets are better than custodial wallets.

Not your keys, not your bitcoin.

3031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔴Defi meets NFT !!! After DEGO NFT hype now NFT is the new Trend 🔴 on: October 09, 2020, 04:16:26 AM
We will see whether people will be hyping the NFT trend or not. The climate in the market is changing very fast.
Scammers (I don't call them as developers) will create more forks from NFT like they did with Uniswap, YFI in the DeFi trend. People give scammers very easy opportunities to get success for their scam projects.

Follow scam trend, you can double your balance in one night but you can see your balance halves or falls 80 to 90% within one night. Vitally, you can get success in 5 or 8 decisions for each 10 decisions. The failed decisions (2 to 5) will steal all of your profits or worse eat up your orginal capital.

Tor

You have to sacrifice loading speed when you use it.

You can have Android version https://guardianproject.info/apps/org.torproject.android/

Tor is the best for your privacy because you don't have to put your belief on companies and their servers to protect your privacy. How is Tor different from other proxies? and No backdoor in Tor

Manage your identities
You can choose one of 2 options: New identity, New Tor Circuit for this Site when you open Tor browser.

3033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Define the (scam) DeFi. on: October 08, 2020, 04:15:26 AM
but you put so many names on a scam defi project, can you prove it's a scam?
I see there are more than 50 projects, and in fact some of them have been around for quite some time before even Fomo Defi appeared.
You have to prove that what you say is true, it is true that many projects only take advantage of the current hype defi, but some are really developing and have their own vision and hype is just a bonus because market conditions are like that today.
No. You did not see what I am trying to give readers.

You can see two lists:
- List of DeFi tokens
- List of stake / masternode coins

Then try yourself to scan and find out how many of them try to fork or replicate of each others. Forks, replications, reproduction of coins, tokens, project names are a good signal for scam trend.

If you use Metamask, you would know they automatically block all new tokens that have UNI in token names. It is good and this time Metamask reacts fast enough to prevent scam tokens.
3034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Chairman threatens to leave US over crypto regulation on: October 08, 2020, 04:10:04 AM
Ripple, again bad news for Ripple.

I am not the person who have big love with news in crypto. I realize news can be seriously manipulated in crypto and price of cryptocurrency reacts very fastly with news. Ripple is centralized and developers have big amount of Ripple so they have reasons and power in hands to manipulate price.

If investors are long term, they can buy Ripple and hold but if they feel not have enough patience to own XRP for at least a half of year, they should not invest in Ripple.
3035  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies and how to rank up easily on: October 08, 2020, 02:55:04 AM
I have an old friend in this forum who has been here for a while now and have witness so many development on the frorum,  it was easy to rank up on this forum when the merit system was not in place all that was needed then was to have sufficient Post's with certain amount of activities to rank up on all level and ranks. But with the introduction of the merit system the power is now in the hand of the member of the forum and how good and informative you posts is that will be worth some merits.
You created the account more than one year ago and was inactive for almost one year. Last month, woke up and tried to rank up easily.  Huh

I can see how you feel it is easy to rank up. You received merit too easily.  Roll Eyes

Did you use Google to translate and make the post? It is broken in grammar.

Quote
So my advice to us newbies on the forum is to create good and quality contents, high quality Posts and create thread that add value to the forum.
Your advise and your post are contradictory with each other. Please stop create bored-to-death topics to hunt merit, you won't get it.

3037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS!! on: October 07, 2020, 04:43:03 PM
In telegram groups, keep your eyes on people who try to reach you with PM (they send you PM first) and show intention to help you.

Scammers tend to fake admins by put usernames of real admins into their Bio area. Naively people won't pay attention on where they see the text. Text in Bio area is different than username of one user on Telegram.

Trap of scammers is:
- Hide their real username
- Put username of admin into Bio area.
At the end, people don't see usernames of scammers but they only see texts in Bio areas of scammer profiles.

If you don't delete your PMs from scammers, months later you will see the SCAM badge and a warning on their profile.

https://www.telegramadviser.com/scammers-in-telegram-and-how-to-report

Check your settings and change it to keep you safe for scammers invitation and your privacy:
- Phone number: nobody
- Groups and channels: My contacts (in default, it is Everybody and you will be automatically invited, added to channels that run by scammers).
3038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 07, 2020, 07:56:00 AM
I tried to catch attention of people one month ago with Define the (scam) DeFi but people don't care.

The DeFi scam engine is exhausted but the sad thing is scammers already fill up their pockets while victims (investors) lost a lot of money. One month ago, they talked about amazing rich stories (balance is doubled after night sleep, blah blah blah). Now, one month later, they are silent and try to understand why their balance was halved or worse.
3039  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to become a good member of this forum. on: October 07, 2020, 07:07:19 AM
Good member here will talk about bitcoin. It is bitcointalk.

I don't see a single word for Bitcoin in your post.  Huh

What he wanted to say (at least that's how I understood it) is that it will always look a bit suspicious when a brand new account made approximately 24 hours ago starts giving advice how to be a good forum member, or how good member should behave. I don't say that's the case here, but such threads coming from a new accounts might look like merit fishing, as they tend to write obvious things that people like to hear.
Merit appear few times in his post. I confused that I am reading a post in meritalk.  Grin
3040  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Scams & Our Roles. on: October 07, 2020, 06:30:58 AM
As a rule of thumbs, if a stranger goes first in PM, in invitations and give you something is too good to be true, ignore that guy in a blink of eyes.

Block immediately because if you are newbies, the more you read invitations sound good, the higher risk that you will be trapped. Greed is in all of us, and newbies have less ability to control their greed.
