3021  Other / Politics & Society / Re: My thoughts on the open/close border debates. on: March 07, 2020, 06:02:10 PM
Crossing border without permission is an offence on most of the countries so if you get caught you might be jailed for long time but not everyone is going to be killed of they cross borders so they got an opportunity to explain about their action.

There are few countries with no fences on their borders as well.

Somehow migrants who stormed the borders in Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Greece and many other European countries were not jailed or even detained.
Laws work only to the point when enough people start to break them.
3022  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: March 06, 2020, 06:03:30 PM
They won't protect you and you're just adding more waste to the land and water... They also don't cover your eyes which is probably how most infection gets in.

Yes, listen to the man. Wear glasses with your masks!

Quote
IF you're under 35, it's highly unlikely it'll kill you.
If you're over 35 but are still pretty healthy, you shouldn't face much issue with it either.

And if you're 35, not over and not under, you have to decide for yourself if it will be highly unlikely or just unlikely. Cheesy

In reality, masks protect the people you interact with from being sneezed or spit at and contracting a virus this way. It doesn't protect you if you get in close contact with a sick person The virus will still land on your face and you'll later rub it into your eye, scratch yourself and get it under the fingernails, get it on your colar or scarf and later onto your lips.
I'd simply avoid large masses if there were a lot of infections in my area. People in Asia travel by packed underground trains a lot and this is probably the easiest way to catch a few germs.
3023  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I was asked to use a hand sanitiser this morning. on: March 06, 2020, 05:51:38 PM

UV is a fairly new idea, the uses are not all thought out yet. As an example, if everyone carried one around and on, no matter how thick the crowd was, the disinfecting properties would scale.

Virus does not survive that long, something like 24 hours in cold winter and < 1 hr in summer.

I've seen those special UV lamps in hospitals. They are fit into normal ceiling lamp holders and there's a switch in every corridor that allows them to disinfect the area. The lamps are very powerful, so the switches require a key and the area has to be cleared before you can turn them on. Your normal UV lights (the ones used to check cash) won't work.
If itt really survives only 1 hour in hot areas this would answer the the guy who said that there's almost no cases among black people so they have to be immune.
3024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies are highly undervalued these days? on: March 06, 2020, 05:42:34 PM
Bitcoin is the most undervalued coin of all and its clones like BCH, BSV, BTG, and so on, are the most overvalued.
That's very interesting, so this means altcoins are the least priority?
man, sorry, but I would beg to disagree with you, bitcoin reach at this level is good but altcoins do have a future too and I think getting a very low dominance rate right now makes them so undervalued, but you can also be right, this is just how I think for now, I am betting on some altcoins though especially BNB.

No, but altcoins that are clones of Bitcoin are. IMO the only thing they're doing is stealing some value from the original coin. People who invest in BSV and similar coins are doing it because they think it's Bitcoin, but cheaper, or believe that CSW is telling the truth. Do you see the paradox in this? They believe someone who was caught lying a number of times is actually telling the truth about being Satoshi. Compared to these coins BTC is the real king and it will one day swallow the value of some of those altcoins. You can believe in a lie for a whiole, but sooner or later the truth comes to the surface.
3025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 05, 2020, 05:48:00 PM
Any publicity is good publicity but I doubt Bitcoin needs that, verge is already accepted on pornhub, and if people use verge I am sure they would be aware of BTC as well.

Of course it needs that. First and foremost Bitcoin requires adoption and it doesn't matter what kind of adoption it will be. It can be a porn site or a chain of brothels.
You have to realize that in all those places people are already paying with fiat money and every fiat payment is like signing a bill with your name and address. We need more anonymous ways of paying and I'm not saing untraceable. We need ways that won't sign our name on the bill with every payment.
3026  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece and balkan europeans under attack by migrants, is this a Case for Nato? on: March 05, 2020, 05:27:55 PM
USA messes with every Middle Eastern country there is. Assad invited the Russians to defend the country against the terrorists... (In this scenario it is the US) Why is the US even in Syria? What is USA exactly doing there? What were they doing in Iraq? What do they want from Iran? Read the article and you'll see why.

Don't forget afghanistan, and before that they had their hands in every major conflict like the war in Korea, The Gulf War, and so on. They occupied Japan after WW2, they attacked Vietnam, the US is the angriest country in the world. A giant war machine bringing freedom to all, even those who don't want it. Here guys, take our bombs and missiles of freedom... And the Bible, don't forget about The Bible! Freedom and God!  Tongue

3027  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I was asked to use a hand sanitiser this morning. on: March 05, 2020, 05:11:37 PM
Its more a media hocks-pocus than anything else. All kinds of cancellations, quarantines but basic precautions are overlooked.
Viruses spread easy with something lots of people touch, like touch-screens. They are everywhere like ticket-machines, self-service checkouts, cash deposit machines and restaurants like Mc. Its a bad joke, in-competed people in charge.
https://metro.co.uk/2018/11/28/poo-found-on-every-mcdonalds-touchscreen-tested-8178486/

They should rather change the lights to UV and turn off AC because we know bacteria love AC filters and pipes. This is turning into a mass hysteria like most Chinese people wear face masks, even though they don't help if you're healthy. Only the sick should wear masks.
Also, hand sanitizers won't help if you keep touching things like steering wheels and door knobs. You'd have to keep washing your hands every time you touch a pen in the office or a computer keyboard.
3028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Gets Centralized Through Massive Mergers on: March 04, 2020, 09:13:59 PM
Steem's users are doing something about it - https://old.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/fcydwq/something_beautiful_is_happening_on_the_steem/

That bug eyed creep will likely find encroaching on anyone else's shitcoin will provoke a sharp response.

As for Bitcoin do not underestimate the ferocity of its users. Even if it were possible, whoever tried it would be wiped out and they'd be stunningly stupid to try it in the first place as removing one of its main value propositions would destroy whatever power, profit and influence they were looking for.

It's interesting how rich guys alwas want more power and turn into centralization and control and when that happens they get a strong response from the community. Jihan did a very similar thing back in the day when he rose to power and it did not end that good for him. Sun has already made a lot of money in this space but inetsad of trying to contribute he's reaching for more control and more centralization.

As for Bitcoin, you cannot buy it. Even if you buy some big exchanges, there will still be some that you won't be able to afford. Even owning all major exchanges won't give you control over Bitcoin. Bitcoin's price is not Bitcoin.
3029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 04, 2020, 07:58:01 PM
Just as negative news (bans) influence the price, positive ones (ban lift) also do. We could all witness what happened to the price of Bitcoin when China banned it in 2018. The ban in India was much less influential, but still, even 5% raise would be a nice thing. At this point it's hard to find things that don't impact the price of Bitcoin as exchange hacks, ETF denials, bans, stock market crashes, viruses, even tweets by some rich traders can do it.
3030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 04, 2020, 02:31:24 PM
Age 5? lol, I have no idea there is some kind of restriction like that and what kind of government they have.

Actually restriction nowadays is not really a problem because crypto gambling industry have solve it, most of the gambling sites does not require a KYC so there is no way they will know your real age, and I believe, kids nowadays are a heavy gamblers as well.

You're amazed by 5 but not by 23? People can drive a car and drink alcohol in Greece at 18 but they have to wait another 5 years before they can enter a casino? That's ridiculous. They can also marry at 18, but they cannot gamble. So you have a total grown up, 21 year old, who has a wife, a child, a steady job, can legally drink and smoke, but cannot bet a few dollars on a football game or play poker with friends. Who makes these laws?
3031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: March 04, 2020, 01:54:23 PM
There are 2 types of posters here:
1. What they are saying in their posts are true.
2. What they are saying in their posts are false.

The beauty of the Internet. You never know if that sexy girl you're talking to isn't really a 50 year old man.
I'd say with all honesty that my level is 0. I gamble occasionally. You really have to invite me to the game to see me play. I don't feel like I have to win something back or prove something to myself or other people and I never lose a lot of money.
3032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: process vs outcome on: March 04, 2020, 01:41:48 PM
IMO each game has its own target audience. Lotteries are popular among people who want to feel some thrill and bet on something, but at the same time don't follow any sports, don't want to go to a casino, and don't play cards. It's also good for those who want to bet very little and have a chance to win a lot. As you probably know the typical bet gives you 2-50% chance of winning, but the win is 2-3 times what you stake. A lottery lures people with a  win of 1000x, but hides the odds from you, so that you may think it's 1% or 0,1%, but in reality it's something like 0,0001%... A total waste of money for those of us who can count.
3033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from hackers. on: March 03, 2020, 06:29:47 PM
There's a very easy way of protecting your coins. You just have to make sure your private keys are in your possession and are kept offline. There's a common misconception that when someone loses Bitcoins it's those bitcoins that were hacked. In reality the user was hacked, or the exchange he was using was hacked. Bitcoin wasn't hacked and is not going to be hacked, there's no need for us to do anything to protect it. What we should do is protect the devices we use to transact and try not to use centralized exchanges.
3034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies are highly undervalued these days? on: March 03, 2020, 06:09:55 PM
The whole industry is undervalued, but there are many instances of overvalued cryptocurrencies that aren't going to bring any positive change or adoption, yet they're taking some of the value that could go into other, much better projects. For instance, if only half of the money currently invested in altcoins with no future went into Bitcoin, it would create a rally that would qyickly escalate and take the whole industry to new highs. IOM, Bitcoin is the most undervalued coin of all and its clones like BCH, BSV, BTG, and so on, are the most overvalued.
3035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Sad News]: Nigerian shot dead after resisting robbers access to crypto phone on: March 03, 2020, 05:52:20 PM
Boasting about beautiful girlfriend and fat pay checks is not a right thing to do, especially when you live in a lawless country like Nigeria! You can't hide your beautiful girlfriend but you can definitely hide your finances! $10,000 USD in Nigeria is worth 3.6 million Naira, so you can understand how big that amount is for an average Nigerian. So the holder should have kept quite about it! But unfortunate death is always a Sad news! May his soul rest in peace!

Wow 3 million of their hyperinflated fiat money that you need to carry in bags to buy something as trivial as a used car.
Even if he was killed for 10k it would still be such a stupid thing to die for. No money is worth defending with your life and taking someone's life for stupid 10k USD makes me doubt in humanity. You have to be worse than an animal to murder someone for a few dollars.

3036  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are Africans immune to coronavirus, is the virus meant to erase the white on: March 03, 2020, 05:39:27 PM

Look at the death toll:
Yellow skin are among the top death counts
White skin are not so much, dafuq with the title?

Japan China and Korea are main victims.

Actually it's not because of skin colour but the place where the virus appeared. If you put a wolf in a barn full of sheep, the sheep will be the victims. If you put the same wolf in a coop, you'll have dead chickens. It's too early to draw conclusions because the virus is still young and not enough research hes been conducted.
It's interesting though how different races will react because flu isn't a common desease in hot countries. The virus prefers moderately cold climate.
3037  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus is a Fake Flag to destroy China! on: March 01, 2020, 08:42:23 PM
I had my suspicions from the start when I saw the statistics. There are almost no death cases among people below 30 and the virus is quite deadly only to those old and sick, which is completely normal for a common flu, yet the media incite panic by saying that there's no cure and counting deaths. If you put 2000 deaths on paper it looks bad, but if you compare it to the number of people who die from flu every year it's really not much.

Also, there's also no cure for the common flu! You cannot take a pill and get rid of it, just like you cannot get rid of it's corona variant.
3038  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin Is Not a Viable Currency Option.q on: March 01, 2020, 08:32:32 PM
In its present state,
the bitcoin system is controlled by a few major mining
companies

No, it's not. What do you mean by mining companies? Bitmain? Mining pools? They do not control Bitcoin. It really deosn't matter who is confirming transactions as long as that entity does not have 51% of the network. Mining is not controlling.

Quote
(it is too costly for individuals)
How?

You can Buy Bitcoin with $1 and you can buy it with $1000. Unless you mean that mining is too costly, but why the hell would you want to mine your own coins? Do you also have your own cows and chickens? Do you refine the gasoline your car burns or help print fiat currency that you later spend?

There's actually a lot of trading platforms. What difference does it make how many big players are out there? The world's supply of diamonds is also controlled by just a few individuals. Does it stop people from buying them?

3039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin is used in direct value. on: March 01, 2020, 08:22:17 PM
The shortest explanation is: lack of acceptance. Bitcoin can be used without being converted but there's no way to create a food chain that it would follow.
In a normal environment you spend money at a restaurant, the owner pays staff and buys products, the proucts are cooked and served. If any of these points fail and require conversion, we don't have a working chain. At this point, even things that are sold for Bitcoin like hardware wallets and miners are unable to function in a chain.
3040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: February 29, 2020, 03:59:34 PM
Never borrow money to gamble! Many people did that and regreted afterwards. It's not even about the trouble you might get into if you borrow from the wrong people, but the pressure you'll find yourself under while playing. It's going to be double the normal because you'll know that you're losing money that you'll have to get back somehow. It's not going to be your average game. You'll be fighting for your life there and gambling should at least give you some pleasure so that when you lose you'lll know that you were ready for it and you did not just lose money, you bought some good time, some entertainment.
