3021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Arrest on: June 20, 2020, 01:46:31 PM
Information reaching out by a local news outlet RNS, state that a former chief of Russia post local branch has been arrested by the Russia police on suspicion of running a crypto mining farm inside the office for almost six months. During the period of his mining the federal service of Starvropol territory has spent about 30,000 Russia rubles.

If you're to be the judge, how will you handle this issue of abuse of power?
You do not need to be a judge to understand the seriousness of the issue, stealing power from your employer and that too from the government will land you in serious trouble let alone the job and the hefty fine you are going to pay and there were many in the past that were caught stealing electricity from their employer in the past especially in China and to be frank it is not even worth to do such activities as all the perils you make will be gone once you are caught and the chances are 99%.
3022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Provocative Film About Satoshi Nakomoto Was Funded By Cryptocurrency on: June 20, 2020, 12:17:00 PM
Without a doubt, it will create controversies among crypto enthusiasts. The film director said that they made a lot of research. I wonder where they got the idea that the love interest of Satoshi is a transgender woman? Is it even near the truth or they just create this personal life of Satoshi to make it more interesting?
It is a script writers freedom to come up with anything and when it comes to a polarizing mysterious figure like Satoshi this is a perfect situation they can tinker on anything they like. Take a look at all the biographic movies they change the story according to their freedom of choice, take a look at movies like The Greatest Showman, Jobs, A Beautiful Mind and so on. It is kind of interesting to have a transgender woman playing the love interest of Satoshi.

I hope this move will not be a big disaster but not expecting it to be good either Wink.

I've been playing this game for years, I have neither seen nor heard such a thing. The last 30 minutes of the match is already scandalous. They accidentally scored a goal and canceled it too.
You are complaining about e Sports and even i was in similar position during the lock down when there was no sports and i too ventured into e sports and i lost  some matches that were perceived as a sure shot win but after going down they kind of recover at the last moment which is not logical and there is enough of fixing allegations in virtual sports, iBUYPOWER and NetCodeGuides was the popular ones and there will be many and since this sports is attracting gamblers you will see many fixed games but you never know until they are exposed.

@OP the video you posted they are clearly cheating.

He was one of my favorite bowler in the modern era so kinda familiar with his response. TBH I found his reasoning pretty bullshit because i can't understand, why 27yo cricketer complained about work load after coming from the 5 years ban? he played only 2-3 season and got tired from the format which gave him recognition in the cricketing world at the first place.
Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif was one of the best pairs after Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis but they ruined their career with spot fixing and Amir underwent many traumatic things in his young career which would end many careers but he was able to come back and there will be heat if you are caught for match fixing and he may have his reasons for his excuse may be because of dressing room issues he might have retired and he was not in his best form like he used to bowl in the Test format after returning after the ban

Yes I agree and that's what I think is the problem for all international sports right now, the travel between countries and states/cities. Even here in Australia there are restrictions on travel between states so even if the T20 world cup was to go ahead it would make it hard. I just think that we have to give both tournaments a miss this year and try for next year which hopefully the virus is under control by then.
If you look at the situation in both the countries, then the T20 World Cup could go ahead as the situation is far better than in India, if the BCCI is willing to push forward for the IPL even in a situation that is much worse than Australia and it all depends upon what the government decides. The ICC are yet to postponed the tournament as they are waiting for the things to be clear and with football and other sports coming back why no cricket without any audience and even the Australian minister was willing to allow audience in the stadium according to some reports i saw.
3026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 18, 2020, 11:31:23 PM
UFC just announced fight card for Fight Island 3 in AbuDhabi for July 25, and it is full and packed.

Signed and confirmed:
RobWhittaker vs DarrenTill
FabricioWerdum vs Gustafsson
Shogun vs Nogueira
Wood vs Nurmagomedov (Khabibs brother)

I am so exited to watch this event!  Shocked

UFC is putting great match ups one after another but Shogun and Nogueira i did not expect that fight, to be frank i am really surprised Nogueira is not retired as i thought both the Nogueira brothers are retired from the sport.  Gustafsson returning to heavyweight is interesting and i am waiting for Antony Johnson to return to heavyweight and if that happens then the heavyweight division would be interesting with a mix of interesting fights.
3027  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India considers another widespread ban on Bitcoin on: June 17, 2020, 07:12:45 PM
The new bill could effectively ban all cryptocurrencies in the country. Whereas, if it goes into effect, citizens who use cryptos will face fines of up to 3.3 million dollars or ten years in prison.
This is the biggest joke of the century, people will face fines up to 3.3 million dollars when the average person will not even make that kind of money in India in their entire life  Cheesy. The basic average annual salary is around $5000 and if the people who made this draft knew anything about the facts then they would not come up with a valuation like this.

This comes after the recovery of hopes as a result of the Supreme Court ruling that it cannot prevent crypto dealers and crypto-related companies from accessing banking services.
As i earlier mentioned in the local board once the supreme court overturned the RBI ban i was expecting the government to come up with something stupid but the corona pandemic delayed the proceedings.

Using changelly certainly was a one time mistake for me.
I'm letting you know, because I whish somebody would've told me before....
I never had an issue with changelly and i am using their site and not through a third party and i never encountered any issue but i have encountered certain issues with shapeshift in the past but the support would sort the issue within a couple of days.

I have seen your last topic regarding the same issue and repeat the process what you did last time and the support will sort your issue and hopefully it will not take 20 days.

When Wahab Riaz is in good form he is one of the best bowlers out there but most of the time he plays like an ordinary bowler.
I do not remember any performance in the Test format but i still remember the spell he bowled against Australia in the 2015 Cricket World Cup and that was the best bowling i saw in a very long time and i think he is struggling with injuries and so is the reason he is not able to perform like that all the time. Good to see that PCB is able to convince him to return to the Test level because Pakistan team does need a leader to help the younger generation.

England is in much better shape now, and in all probability they'll extract revenge against the West Indians. West Indies have toured England dozens of times. But the 2000 series is still fresh in my mind. Back then, West Indies had players such as Courtney Walsh, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brian Lara and Chris Gayle. Perhaps that squad was the strongest ever sent to England by West Indies. But despite that, they lost the series to England 1-3.
During that time West Indies was struggling with the batting line up and in that series if i remember correctly shivnarine chanderpaul was not in the team in all the matches and while watching those matches i thought he would have held up one end if he was in the team. Chris Gayle was not an impact player during that time and he was not at all consistent and during that period i held Wavell Hinds a better player than Chris Gayle and it was the weakest batting line up and that continued for a long time.

Community transmission is another major issue. This is why social distancing is not always effective. Afridi exposed himself during the relief efforts and contracted the virus.
The idea about social distancing is to stay away from the crowd and anyone who is doing social work exposing themselves and the hospital staffs are more prone to the virus because they are breaking the social distancing norms. The virus is not airborne like we thought in the initial phase but it might travel for a few meters and if you are really taking the social distancing seriously then you wont get infected.

~
Despite saying that i had my limit with all these bullshit and i had a party a few days back and i am seriously afraid whether i am infected as i am not feeling good for the past few days. The paranoia is killing me.
Take care and i understand people are depressed and wanted everything back to normal, not sure where you are from and what is the situation in your area and hopefully you are doing good, if you feel you are infected go for a detailed swab test rather than being paranoid.
3032  Local / India / Re: Shocking - With a law, India plans lasting ban on cryptos on: June 14, 2020, 03:13:47 PM
Don't know how to react! This is bad and sad! India is already struggling with freedom of speech under Modi government and now it seems to include financial freedom!
It is not a shocking development as i anticipated once the supreme court overturned the RBI ban i knew the government will move forward with their plan but the corona situation delayed it. The incompetency of the government is evident in different sectors and how they are showing their iron fist to the very people they voted for them.

~
It will mostly affect those people who don't know how to stay anon online or not much technical.
People just need to be smart and the government cannot stop anything completely.

Finance Ministry of our country is in crisis right now. We currently have the most incompetent finance minister of the last 20 years. Our government is wannabe anti-corrupt and in this pursuit it has taken some of the worst decisions like Demonetization. Banning cryptocurrencies will be another addition in the long list of hasty bad decisions of our government.
Not just the finance minister the entire government is a joke. Wanna be things are just a cover, they are like magicians as they represent one thing to the general public and showcase one thing but they plan something else in the meantime.

Ah Lalit Modi outsmarted kapil dev  Grin
It was a power move by the BCCI, they warned all the advertisers to stop advertising the ICL and if they continue to do so they will not be able to sponsor the Indian team and when they played that dirty game all the advertisers moved away and they banned all the players who signed with the ICL.
If it was outsmarting then you would understand but it was pure evil power on display destroying them in every way possible.

Once "The 100 Balls" gets little success then BCCI can do something about it. They did same with the T-20 format, English board invented the format but they were bit cocky to take this format seriously, result BCCI hijacked the idea and rest is history.
India won the first T20 World Cup and that took the format to a different level and IPL just became the spectacle.

This other tournament had kapil dev backing right? i remember reading something about it.
Yes Kapil Dev was the brand ambassador and all the franchise leagues we have right now took the blue print from ICL.

ECB trying "The 100 Balls" tournament which got delayed due to pandemic. It would be nice addition in the game of cricket as 4th format if spectators gives some positive response.
If it is entertaining then it will be adopted world wide and if Asian countries starts adopting it then it will be a huge success.

~Shane Bond was at his peak form, and this controversy destroyed his career. He did play a few matches in the IPL, but by then his career was largely over.
Shane Bond was my favorite bowler, his smooth action and his pace was a thing of beauty. He retired from all forms of cricket citing he is not able to give 100% and he does not want to reduce his pace to stay longer and even during his last phase of his career he was bowling really well.

As right now we still have four months and this is good time for them to follow neighbours and do some good work so we will be able to watch this big mega event on time now its possible as they have good sources and they are capable to handle things for good lets wait next announcement from them about this all.
If you are talking about the New Zealand strategy they should not follow anyone as Australia is doing a really good job on controlling the situation as they have only under 400 active cases which is not bad. The ICC has not changed the schedule yet and i think they can carry on with the tournament as scheduled.

~
Yes the Australian Government will allow up to 10k people in stadiums starting soon. Australia have big stadiums so I think it can work and I think it could also work for the T20 world cup if the ICC do go ahead as planned and maybe by then we could see a lot more fans allowed to attend the games. First we must see how this goes with the football games and lets just hope it works out for the best.
That is a welcoming news and they have the luxury to do that with the number of active cases really low and they have contained the virus while countries like India shut the entire country for months and did not do anything to combat the situation and now they are opening everything and the number of cases keep on increasing rapidly. We have a few months left and by the time World Cup approaches everything will be back to normal in countries where they did their homework to combat the virus while the rest struggles.

I don't know, I've never been there. But AFAIK those countries and their leaders don't like to be seen as too permissive and miscreant. So for public shows they are not as lenient as they can be for private affairs. I do think sponsors and advertisements for alcoholic beverages will be banned for example.
To all my fellow friends, you can visit UAE and Bahrain and if you have money then you can live like a king as you get everything, including drinks and there are ladies clubs and bars and you can get a good lap dance and you can pick anyone you want and have fun and that is the freedom you get in two countries i mentioned, yes they follow the same religion but they have a liberal out take on things.

If a country is open for tourism you have to expect that alcohol and other fantasies are readily available. I do not want to be blunt but that is the reality of things and these are not hear say but what i have experienced. The only restriction comes during Ramadan and you have to respect that and from my experience my Arab friends would party at night and they would fast during day time Grin.

I am not telling that everyone is like my friends but there are many Arab friends who are liberal.
3037  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India Is Looking To Introduce A Law To Ban Bitcoin, Imprisonment Of Up To 5 Year on: June 12, 2020, 02:16:08 PM
As per the draft law, a repeat offense will be punishable by imprisonment of up to 5 years, which could extend to 10 years with a fine. The fine could be three times the loss or harm caused by the person, three times the gain made by a person, or up to Indian Rupee 25 crore (3,29 million USD).
There is a lot going on in India, the Supreme court just overturned the ban imposed by the RBI on cryptocurrency exchanges and i was expecting the government to come out and do something outrageous and if not for the Corona virus they would have already made some headlines by now in relation to BTCitcoin.

The draft bill was ready for a long time and now the reports are coming out that the government will push the bill and since the cabinet is filled with senseless individuals who does not care about the repercussions when they implement certain laws the example is CAA and NRC and even with protect all around they tried to shut everyone and many died protesting against it, you need to be skeptical on what will happen in the future.

A lot, way too many. And most of those that were caught ended up with very short sentences and managed to stash a lot of money away.
Trendon Shavers got away with 18 months in prison.
It is the primary reason we see scammers as they are well aware that they will get off with lighter sentences and they can stash all the money and never return and we have lost billions and many just vanished into thin air.

But I have no doubt that it's very hard trust an exchange (there is a long list of scam starting from Ubitex including the infamous MTGox).
Not your keys not your coins.
We had many examples in our short period, majority will not last for a very long time and there is no way you can trust any exchanges unless they are regulated and have insurance over the customer funds. We will see those regulations in the future and the idea of starting a bucket shop basement exchanges will be a gone in the next few years.
3039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges not accepting mixed BTC, so is BTC no longer fungible? on: June 11, 2020, 10:52:13 PM
I have been reading that many exchanges are using Chainalysis (etc.) to look at transactions, and refusing to exchange BTC (or even accept them).  I also know that BitPay is using such blockchain analysis to NOT accept BTC that looked like they were mixed or otherwise have a "dubious" history.

This looks like it is going to be an issue, probably getting to be a bigger issue into the future.
I am not surprised we are seeing this happening, we will see exchanges rejecting coins which are deemed dubious and coins that are coming through mixers and there will be a time when we are not able to use those coins. We might even see the coins that are dubious might  be confiscated by the authorities and then auctioned off at a later time, in simple terms washing through the legal system.

It is impossible to overcome the legal obstacles and we will be forced to follow what the regulators set out.

This is the Island where Ferrari World is located. I thought that Dana was building something by himself, his own venue or something like that. But all that time he was just seeking for a venue. I'm 99.9% sure that is going to be Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena, that was planned to host its first event on April 1[/url]
Yup the Ferrari World is located in Yash Island but it is a really a huge place and i visited the Ferrari world just to see the spectacle and it is pretty expensive, i am sure they will be building everything from the ground to conduct fights and i have been to the last Khabib fight and it was crazy.

Dana White just fooled everyone making them believe that he is building something near the US  Cheesy.

There are reports coming out that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje will fight at UFC 253 and i am sure it will take place in Yash Island because the last event was a huge success even though the arena was crazy hot  Cheesy.

~
Very futuristic arena indeed... but since it's in a muslim country I'm not sure Dana White will be able to do whatever he wants.
For example I'm not sure the usual outfits of female fighters will be allowed, even more for the ring girls...  Undecided
You have no idea what is going on in UAE, it is not that strict like the rest of the Muslim countries. It is a paradise if you have money and you will get anything and there is no restrictions for Women. You can get a lap dance in dance bars with semi nude girls and you think the fighters are not able to wear their outfits Cheesy .
