3041  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and money total cryptocurrency market Question on: September 15, 2020, 11:59:19 PM
There's a specific answer to your question OP because each every one of those big investors has a different perspective way upon spending their money even those who start a business in crypto. But I have doubt that they will keep reinvesting or investing any new projects found that has the potential to gain profit. They are always thinking to gain profit since they are business-minded.

Business owners should have a plan in every cash flow, it is very essential for the movement of money in and out of your business. Not only for luxury stuff they want because the poor having cash flaws will result in a business failure. It's the same goes investing cryptos, you should always have game plan.
3042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India looking to Re-ban Bitcoin on: September 15, 2020, 11:38:39 PM
This isn't not yet implemented since they are planning to have a law towards Bitcoin and other cryptos to ban in India.
I heard this before and this isn't a fresh news, we can't blame them if the number of fraud cases that connected to crypto has been grown in that country. But someday they will realize that those fraudulent services must seize not the crypto itself, the RBI has noted this that's why they want to prevented banks from providing services in support of cryptocurrencies.

Their country, their rules. Probably they had already suffered of many fraudulent that involved cryptos. It's better to abide the law because as I read, it is punishable with a fine or imprisonment if some who will caught direct or indirect use any private virtual currency.
3043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Fees to high on: September 15, 2020, 10:58:18 PM
The problem is that when I want to transfer them, the fee that the client wants to apply is too high. About 0.5 BTC.
That looks suspicious fee because it is quite huge that almost equivalent to your entire balance, it's 0.5 Bitcoin and your balance is 0.543 Bitcoin. I suspected that you've probably used a scam website wallet, I never heard a wallet with that very high fees or even withdrawing from exchange.

All suggestions above were right, can you please also share to us what wallet you've used. Because there are too many various Bitcoin wallets that can modify fees into the lowest fee.

How can I transfer them without paying this soo much fee?
If there's no option, there's nothing you can do is to accept the high fees from wallet you've choose and receive the remaining balance. But if they ask to deposit for further fee, you should start to worry because that's scam.
3044  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: V4 Problem w/Max send on: September 15, 2020, 10:35:32 PM
Anyone know why the MAX doesn't work?
What happened? It works fine at me and the "Max" sending button should be there.

Just go to the "Pay" button and click and you will choose either the fee rates in Mempool, Static, or ETA. And if you want to custom the fee setting just click "Advance". Everything works smoothly for me, the interface you've said will work fine too. Anyway, what OS you've used?

Otherwise try to check your internet connection and also the node of your wallet should be color green that indicates actively running.
3045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm thinking about trading. My name says it all. on: September 15, 2020, 10:02:01 PM
Upon choosing exchange that reliable for seeking possible profit for me it should.
  • Leverage
  • Accessibility
  • Liquidity
  • There is no potential for an insider price manipulation
  • and most of all Security

Upon the suggestion above, I think Binance has suitable for these characteristics that I'd mentioned. Otherwise, you can also pick an E-toro exchange platform that suits from newbies until experts, the best feature they had is copy-paste trading, you can copy one of the expert portfolio
3046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MY NEWBIE THOUGHTS ABOUT THE FORUM on: September 15, 2020, 02:15:38 PM
As far as it concern me, I see that this forum has rules to abide, well most likely every forum should have rules and regulations and this is not a problem to me. I have also the intention to join any promotional activities that could let me earn. For now, I do not want to get involve. How could I promote something that I do not even know what is it all about?
First, welcome to the forum and I suggest you to read all the important rules not to abide here in the forum. Most likely newbie members will get nuked because of the bannable offense just like posting plagiarized content is strictly not allowed and the last rule on this Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ.

As a newbie, spend more time reading and searching more about in forum and lastly about crypto stuff. Probably this link of compilation thread that has a good information content might help you in a quick research of good thread that newbie must know before start posting here. Heads up on this thread, [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?).

See you around, I hope someday I will see your progress. Good luck!
3047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sued for money laundering over stolen bitcoin. on: September 15, 2020, 12:51:11 PM
Probably the OP source: https://www.coindesk.com/japan-cryptocurrency-exchange-zaif-fisco-binance-laundering-hack, for complete details.

I think the none KYC verification upon withdrawal of 2 Bitcoin will possibly scammers take advantage of this case. Probably they can make tons of accounts just to withdraw the laundered Bitcoin that deposited on Binance. Upon searching, I didn't find any response to this case from Binance even on their social media accounts Twitter.

I'd sense of jealously on one of the big exchanges. If they probably report the Bitcoin address of scammers, the Binance team might freeze the account of scammers.
3048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has a Bitcoin Transaction ever been censored? on: September 15, 2020, 07:44:54 AM
in a decentralized network nothing can be censored at all as long as that network remains decentralized. bitcoin network is completely decentralized as it has always been and in order to censor a transaction we must first see 100% centralization before it becomes possible.
I tend to agree, unless if someone will decode the Bitcoin protocol network that originally built by the creator. It's decentralized and it should be censorship resistance. Bitcoin should be, transparent, immutable protocol code, and the last one is censorship resistance that everyone's could see and replayed on the blockchain, you can't completely hide information from others because it should be recorded by blockchain that can able to distributed ledger which means everyone can run with internet connections.

Probably there is censorship as comment above, but that is not on actual transactions. This is what on the third party that own by Bitcoin, example custodial wallet didn't accept Bitcoin that comes from gambling or Bitcoin address that marked as a scam by scam Bitcoin monitoring addresses service like Chainalysis.
3049  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: think i was scammed but not sure how. please help. on: September 15, 2020, 06:39:27 AM
Just my assumption and I think you're not downloading the phishing Electrum, probably since then your key has been compromised already with someone else, and waiting to have any amount to withdraw. If you visit the official website of Electrum and download the new version, you're safe in that way, so I think if you are using the old one Electrum key we don't know that has been compromised, that's a problem.

It is easy to make a new Electrum wallet, if you created a new one upon before storing big amounts, probably you're safe from a hack. We should learn how to value our valuable stuff to avoid scam/hack incidents. Never keep your key anywhere else most especially in an email account or social media accounts, it is easy for them to steal your wallet credentials. As the comment above, learn how to verify Electrum using GPG before you will download it.

If ain't mistaken, the last drop in your Bitcoin is on this address, 1N1RftauCKATtkVFsx1iifRPQVo45myqsm.
Sorry for your loss.
3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking NEWS: SEC, Bitcoin now legal (a security) in Nigeria. on: September 14, 2020, 11:22:20 PM
Based on what I had read before, Nigeria 7th placer of the most popular country and it has the largest economy in Africa. So I don't have doubt that they also have the largest cryptocurrency usage in their country. And, the good thing now that your government totally embraced cryptocurrency rather than fighting on it, instead, just accept and regulated for a better economy.

Probably instead of having hate in Bitcoin from the variety of fraudulent activities like the Ponzi scheme, they are now regulated and save their people form this fraudulent activity of people in Nigeria.

What's your take on this new development in my country?
Indeed, that's good news. I hope other countries would do the same. Like Bangladesh, as I have heard they are still banning Bitcoin.
3051  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Free Raffle] 🔥Win $25 in Ethereum🔥 on: September 14, 2020, 10:37:28 PM
Okay, I'll take the last one. Mine is number 7.

All slot number has been filled now.

Edited: Oops! it looks number 7 already took by NastyBoy but you didn't include in your list.
3052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurency is real money real asset but why not insured? on: September 14, 2020, 10:32:57 PM
I dont know what you mean by not insured, if you understand the word "volatility" that's how crypto works by traders getting profit aside from those stable coins. It's your responsibility to take a risk in trading and there's no insurance from the exchange if you will lose from trading and not all in trading are in a win-win situation.

Upon storing your crypto from big exchanges like Binance or Coinbase, you can be assured that your crypto assets are safe there even if there are hacking incidents, your funds are on SAFU, as mentioned above what is SAFU.
3053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aviatrade accepting BTC as payment for $40 million Gulfstream private jet on: September 14, 2020, 03:42:33 PM
Do you guys think it is a good idea to actually purchase something this big in bitcoins ? For the seller and for the user too ?
If both parties are the same crypto enthusiasts the buyer and the seller, why not. Both of them should know how Bitcoin transaction works and what is the safe wallet to keep their Bitcoin. This scenario is very common, buying a car, house, and this aircraft using Bitcoin with thousands of bucks in equivalent. These sare both risky to them, either there's someone who will have shenanigans move during meetups for the payment method. You might be scammed or steal your Bitcoin and forcibly get by them.

From time top time, big transactions like this that buying property might be commonly practiced by those businessmen who always a huge transaction and using Bitcoin with having transparent transactions is the best choice as long as both of them pay taxes.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your HODL and favorite project on: September 14, 2020, 02:45:28 PM
As of now Defi projects have been increasing wide in the crypto market sphere and they'd cause a new record high trading volume. Many of them are also a scam and having a fake team and your conclusion on the thread upon determining a good project is correct. Do you want to know all the Defi projects out there? Just hang on into this thread of list and read them one by one and check their legitimacy. [BIG LIST] DeFi Projects & Tokens

But it seems like you are shilling your own project to get interest others. And by the way, are you the same author of this post on the other thread?
https://boards.4channel.org/biz/thread/22480818, if not, you're completely plagiarized someone post.
3055  Other / Archival / Re: August 2020 has set new records in trading volumes on: September 14, 2020, 01:37:56 PM
August's volume clocked in at $ 191.2 billion compared to $ 109.3 billion in July.
That's an amazing increase in trading volume and it has $81.9 billion just a month? That's what the effect of Defi projects that in the hype and this could be considered as a historic surge in trading history and it's clear that the adoption of crypto has been also increased by determining the record trading volume. Probably due to pandemic, a lot of people trying to gain profit in trading, IMO.

I wonder why there is no Huobi and OKex exchange in your chart list of exchanges. According to the FinanceMagnet, these 3 crypto exchanges like Binance, Okex and Huobi are the highest increase of trading volume.
  • Binance ($124.9 billion, up 83 percent)
  • Huobi Global trading $65.0 billion (up 176 percent)
  • OKEx traded $64.7 billion (up 47 percent)

How about the Global P2P Bitcoin Trading Volume? It has approximately an increase in trading volume at $95 million worth of Bitcoin. Wow! It's amazing increased.
3056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINS REALITY SHOW (BRB) on: September 13, 2020, 05:10:18 PM
TV shows and movies either short clips video are almost the same, this has already done before and the fact there is a thread here compiling all movies that contain Bitcoin or Altcoin in every episode, [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear, this is the thread.

We are already on the masses or even in the mainstream by this media presentation a long time ago but there's always a barrier upon adoption. Our governments that putting a limit on using Bitcoin. The more TV show or videos that have Bitcoin appear as we can see, the faster of spreading the name of cryptocurrency on air or in Bitcoin itself.
3057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to save on transaction fee : Wallets are giving us a wrong estimation on: September 13, 2020, 03:59:34 PM
The best way to estimate a fee is to look at one of the following sites:
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,8h
https://mempool.space/
These are the most tools where I'm going to visit when I'm planning to have a single transaction or even a microtransaction. Sometimes I'd annoyed when I can't even know how to calculate or determine the fees in the simplest mathetics calculation. That's why I visit the sites mentioned above for the Bitcoin transaction fee for reference.

I seldom use the wallet that mentioned by the OP, I preferred using SegWit wallets because they are most commonly have the cheapest fees than the custodial wallet. These kinds of the wallet have their own Bitcoin estimator that auto calculate the fee as a suggested by the wallet and it depends on the mempool congestion not just by the Bitcoin wallet that makes Bitcoin transaction fee will reduce.

You can do the math by your won using this Bitcoin Fee Calculator & Estimator and compare this to the Bitcoin wallet you have used.
3058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto in Q3-Q4 2020. Hodl or use for purchases? on: September 13, 2020, 02:20:12 PM
As I see most of comments above agree on holding if they don't do trading, but holding is just common cases those people who had Bitcoin. I don't think if they will use this to pay a bill or purchase something online. Probably there is but it's rarely happening than the common transactions.

As a matter of fact, I saw an article that says, it is estimated that it has 42 Million Bitcoin Wallets and only 7.1M for the active users globally. Even in trading activity, it has only an estimated amount of 13M users in Coinbase which is very common users are in the US.

Others are payment processors are:
  • PayPal  -- 235M
  • Mastercard  -- 35.7M (for the US users) and 604M for International users
  • Visa Accounts -- 336M (for the US users) and 736M users globally
Source:

So, I think even if Bitcoin will pump or dump, holder's choice is still HODL and never use to purchase.
3059  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start Using the BitCoin Lightning Network! on: September 12, 2020, 11:03:09 PM
(1) Download any Lightning-enabled Wallet (Wallet of Satoshi, etc)
For the free download wallet, they can choose the Electrum wallet download for free. Electrum now has a feature that you can able to use Lightning Network. Just heads up to this thread and read carefully in every detail because upon having set up of LN transaction it seems crucial for me. Electrum Lightning Network walkthrough.

Anyway, is there a minimum number of participants that can able to ask you a 200 sats for the test of Lightning Network transaction? It seems you're being generous here. Fo a good intention, I'm glad people talking about Lightning Network so that everyone have an idea how to use this.
3060  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: September 12, 2020, 03:04:32 PM
This could be a wild imagination that surely rare to happen.  Cheesy

The same on other national currencies, Bitcoin might also be unusable due to the possibility that they were affected by the world war(take note: we are talking about the world war, not just by the two countries fighting each other) or some reason the internet infrastructures will collapse including those internet providers, and Bitcoin will become worthless if can't even run the nodes without internet(It might run through satellite network but I didn't this matter). Possible shutting down in all electricity sources that people possibly didn't have even access to the internet or on the computer.

This is the very worst imagination when it comes to the humanity race, would you think all valuable asset will probably become important if there is a world war? Even Bitcoin, fiat or gold doesn't matter. Probably they are just chasing food, waters, and medicine just to survive. Lol, I remember this scenario upon watching movies on Netflix, intitled "Z Nation" movie series, there is a humanity race vs zombie.
