3041  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common mistakes we practice as a bitcoiner. on: May 26, 2022, 05:17:49 AM
3. Telling people you hold Bitcoin:
Your assets are to be private, it makes no sense to tell people that you own Bitcoin for security reasons. We have seen and heard of cases where friends kill friend just to get their friend bitcoins and investments,  educate them about bitcoin but do not tell your friends about your bitcoin for your safety and  self protection.
This is true. Others suggestion always come up with beginners warning from other sources but this precautionary about your owning should be as private as possible. Its better to be discreet when you saying you have bitcoin and dont be specific with your quantity hold. Actually telling you have is already dangerous cause they could assume you have a lot of it. So better to be quiet or stay low when it comes to your asset.
3042  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza day on: May 26, 2022, 04:23:45 AM
This is alot of money and I really wonder what Laszlo must be feeling like each time he see this.... But anyways, thanks to him for making this history which we celebrate this day, it is a great lesson which teaches us to hodl.
Ofcourse there is a bit of regret on his part. But this historical that he did means a lot actually and im pretty sure that its not the only bitcoin he have to spare. He is a miner and probably have some more than what he spend on the two pizza boxes during those times. I dont remember he mentioned it I think but of course we can just assume it like that.
3043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay humble and stay safe on: May 26, 2022, 04:04:28 AM
Newbies and those who have the brag attitude in them this is for you, don't ever and ever talk about crypto to people who know where you lives, that includes your neighbors because you will be marked, crypto is a like Fiat, if anyone wants to rob for Fiat bank is the way but crypto? You keep your keys safe at home, when criminals know this you are in for some trouble
Actually less talk less trouble (shoulf be *mistake). This is true. Saying a lot of stuff regarding your asset is quite dangerous even to your close friends since you dont know whether they are really your friend or have some hidden agenda especially it involves some money matter. True colors are going out when it comes to money and those frienship are ignored and shattered just for it sake( not saying all).
3044  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why not tag all bounty hunters? on: May 25, 2022, 07:02:35 AM
Since forums are basically more concerned with fighting spammers than scammers, it would make more sense to just flag fraudulent participants from the signature bounty. I often see them littering the forum environment with one-line replies in some of their favorite sections (altcoins), if I'm right it's because they have to meet the post quota of all their accounts.
Forum is concern in dealing with sharing ideas and topic regarding bitcoin and its external and internal processes and uses. I dont think these are priority of forum to clean up such thing regarding bounty.

Some one liner post arent considered spam especially if they have sense. Why would you make a long response right if the answer needs a short one. There is an exception to that. Quota on signature can be counted for constructive one. A short post doesnt mean its not valid at least some manager consider it as long as the sentence is on point.
3045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There must be some don't do with hardware wallets or there is none? on: May 25, 2022, 06:47:04 AM
I bought a hardware wallet finally but honestly, you guys can't tell me that hardware wallets don't have any disadvantages, is it safe to just use them without zero worries or let me just ask by saying what are the Don't Do of hardware wallets?
Hardwallet is safe in my opinion as it cant be penetrated with such malicious links easily. Also if its broke, as long as you have the mnemonic phrase or private keys with you then you are safe. Losing it might compromise your asset within the hardware wallet.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best layer 1 alternatives to ETH on: May 25, 2022, 06:13:51 AM
My choice would be AVAX. It stands out from the others because of its consensus model. I prefer AVAX because of its innovative infrastructure. But its price is too high. It is overvalued. I prefer to invest in something that has not yet been valued. Also, I prefer Layer 2 projects as I don't think Ethereum has any rivals.
Same. But I dont think its overpriced compared to top l1 projects. Plus its supply is capped with 720m only unlike eth with infinite supply. Also they are burning all fees incurred during transactions no exclusions.

Also Ive been more confident when I am dealing with nft for thr avax ec as it not as much as fee compared to others and the transactions are smooth enough to convey my deals. Anyway looking forward to bag more.

Interesting. But of course you need a lot to do in order to gain community. Nowadays project are beign criticized hard to prove their legality. So I think better focus on that matter for now. If you are gonna do any fundraising, I suggest pick a trusted launchpad platform or yet applied to gitcoin grant and asked for relative funds via defi donations. But that would be a hard task showing your legality cause you need to showcase product use case and much more.

Im gonna dig deeper on your project. To see what I could say more to improve or develop there.
3048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Threads translation challenge for newbie's. on: May 25, 2022, 03:50:10 AM
I think the @OP is a merit seeker by creating this thread as a fake newbie and ask some guide to seek an attention by merit sources.

Apparently, its part of the newbie life. Whose newbie here doesnt want to rank up anyway. Im not sure if his faking that his a newbie since his good on plotting sentences. But the approach isnt bad if the idea is to help other newbies, also benefiting him in a sense to familiarize such forum tools to enable a good posting presentation.

Merit sources would likely noticed it anyway if they are just farming merits or literally and honestly working for it.
3049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No man is an island on: May 25, 2022, 03:34:49 AM
Givers never lack when we feel the need to encourage , share merits if you see reasons too, comment, object and disagree with a post or statement, we should feel free but doing it in an appropriate way,not using words like fuck ,shit ,bitch, nonsense post or passing all forms of insults to one another, do not discourage others for intending to be kind for what does not please you might pleases others .
Encouragement is there but a negatibe criticism will be therr alongside but it does not mean they are really harsh people. Sometime this way could be more effective to motivate others. Its not just about merits, some users are posting nonsense that need to be address by noticing it in a hard way. Of course consideration is being there, especially if we youll review the account posting. But for trolls, there are special trolls here to fight them back.

learn not to hurt others feeling, we have different up bringings .We have different understanding and read meaning to words differently ,dealing with each other should be done with ultmost respect.
Respect is always there. I can feel what youre saying cause Ive been also undegone some negative criticism but thats fine. Cause if you arent then your proving them right. Accept if the tutn out of discussion or arguement loses on your side, thats totally fine. Its just mean that they are right and you are wrong which nothing to be ashamed of.

I know i will soon be criticised for this post ,kindly feel free comment and object.
Thanks with love from here
Just accept it. Sometime the outside looks of their response is just a sarcasm to mask the hurt words you shouldnt be reading. Anyway, just my 2 cents dont harder yourself and make it looks like your in it.
3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Limitations of Bitcoin Utilization in Africa on: May 24, 2022, 05:53:59 AM
MINING OF BITCOIN:

Due to weather, and lack of cheap electricity, I think this are another limitations in setting up a Bitcoin mining farm, as getting one down here would cost them huge sum's for Asics, coz they'll thrive in hot ends. Improvisation can be done with the sun for solar energy though.
Its not cheap actually to do mining set up for bitcoin. Solar energy is good but its not also cheap and you need a bigger capacity for that too. It all boils down to money again. Equipment and electric consumption are two factors that should be think of. People there might be think of more cheaper way to acquire bitcoin instead such as joining here on forum and learn things, and who knows they could join prominent campaign offering a good amount of btc. Theres a way if really interested to dig in deeper and join.
3051  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: May 24, 2022, 05:03:58 AM
Is buying bitcoin right now the same with buying later? I stopped buying because it looks like Bitcoin dips isn't over, imagine buying at 19k per Bitcoin, I think the whole idea of investment is when you are buying not running after the best coins in the market, buying them cheap is better or I don't get it?.
Thats the problem we cant eventually foresee at what price bitcoin would be dipping. So the better move is do a dca on it so you could average your buy even its go down. No one can predict accurately the bottom unless you are a fortune teller and most especially only use money you arent scared to lose cause it may go down so its quite dangerous for you to use hard earned money.
3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto NFT is illiquid and prone to a big loss on: May 24, 2022, 04:32:03 AM
I'd say in short NFT is scam.

Why should someone need to pay ridiculous amount to obtain an art while you can actually download it for free lol. Since crypto is pseudonymous where you can see which address send the token and which address send the NFT, but you don't know who behind of those address. It's possible a same person bought his own NFT with huge amount money to make people think this art is really expensive, so when this art is hyped, people really want to buy it. Easy money for him and the buyer will rekt.
Thats true however not all are like that and to generalized all nft as scam is totally not appropriate. If nft were scammed then why it keeps trending and getting attention. Artist made some money from their art isnt that helpful? It doesnt mean you dont like it its already scam. Many projects on nft are legit, you just need to check which one is true on their words and has actual means to it.

We cant deny there are scams happening on nft but to say nft is scam at all? I dont know.  Youll find arguement here from nft collectors and avid fans.
3053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should do in this type of market on: May 23, 2022, 07:01:56 AM
This market is not over yet, we will see its uptrend again, vert soon.
Of course it isnt. But the question is when would it come back. It could take again years or maybe few months, as people come and go. Sadly some of those who earned big might not be trying to go back since they already got what they want. But lets just hope that many will likely to go back and attract new investors since the crypto space has a lot of potential. What I dont like here are those scumbags who keep printing money out of scam which degrade the potential of crypto itno good things.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real State NFTs on: May 23, 2022, 05:56:26 AM
Have you considered the possibility to enter on this crypto branch?
Projects like Dwellfi and Citadel have been positioning early as projects that will be part of the future of Real State and will be giving opportunities to people eager to participate on this niche, but, at the moment don't have the possibility on the traditional market.
Share with me your ideas about these kind of projects.
Real state nft is something not yet weve seen if were gonna be succesful. But if you are into traditional business, wouls you choose a real real state property or a digital one? Its goes boils down to appetite cause this could be a risky thing too. Its only existing virtually and cant be convertrd into real one. Unless thats the concept of real state nft to buy out property and the nft signify ownership for that and easy buying and selling. Anyway I am watching too how this will play out.
3055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 13 Facts You Never Knew About Bitcoin And it's Forum on: May 23, 2022, 05:37:47 AM
13. Changpeng Zhao (CEO of Binance) is the second richest crypto billionaire after Satoshi
Some are good info but how did you knew that Satoshi is the richest guy on crypto? We didnt even knew if he still alive and there is no document specifiying that only btc is his asset. Who knows he might also have some that we dont know. Or he didnt manage to liquidate yet his bitcoin at all.

Anyway thanks for sharing this info.
3056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are decentralized stablecoins a failed experiment? on: May 23, 2022, 05:20:20 AM
With failed promises to maintain stability, does this means decentralized stablecoins are a failed experiment? If not, why? Do you think there's still room for improvement? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
I think its inevitable with such case of terra ust. Their apy is really high compared to other stablecoin and thats make it more quite risky. Of course I hate to say it, that I am one of victim of it but other stablecoin too lack audit. Cant say that its a failed experiment but the lack of sufficient security measures were missed on this. Whales have managed to outrace them using their fund and thats the weakness they exploited. Decentralized or not once someone realize a flaw then it will literally be a bad result on the other end.

3058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WHY BITCOIN USERS EMBRACE THE THEORETICAL ASPECT TO TECHNICALITY IN BTC on: May 22, 2022, 03:10:12 PM
Just learn it on the internet too. Well people mostly knew bitcoin for it simplicity use case that can be used as store of value and can be used to purchase anything alternative to fiat. However therr is deeper technical aspect to it which majority are not aware of. Should people learn the deep knowledge about it? Or the basic description and application which it can be used is enough?
3059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should do in this type of market on: May 22, 2022, 10:30:29 AM
Its hard to predict what would happened in the next cycle but were definitely sure that it will go back again to its ATH but we dont know when. Its always the same market got hyped and got downfall too. So were in that scenario now, so doing a dca is the best option we could do to avoid being burnt on dip and average our buys. Who knows at current level is the time we could see another ATH again above 64k.
3060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Educational: Bitcoin is technically independent from Altcoins on: May 22, 2022, 10:10:49 AM
It is independent from altcoins but those altcoins are literally dependent on btc. You see when btc is crashing the market turns out badly affected including major coins and tokens, and it does mean how the btc impacted the market so much. Whatever happened on it some follows to them even some arent but majority are likelt have the same trend.
