2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hackers hide malware in fake NFT game on: January 11, 2023, 03:58:35 PM
After installing the game, RAT, a computer remote control virus, is installed on the victim's computer, which ultimately allows hackers to fully monitor all the victim's actions, including stealing passwords and seed phrases.
Thats a strong malicious virus, I think monitoring ones activity is common but the ability to steal passwords and phrase, is that can be done for example there are saves files on his folders? Or only if he can sees the activity where the phrases are been look up into?

Is there any news of this fraudulent in apps and mobiles already or only on pcs and laptops? Thanks Op this is a great news another one to avoid.
2042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com delists Tether(USDT) for Canadians on: January 11, 2023, 04:45:22 AM
The question is why the Ontario Securities Commission prohibits Tether in the first place because that is where it gets interesting. Like, for what reason does USDT get prohibited? We all know that USDT is widely scrutinized due to its lack of trust assurance in regard to its reserves.
Maybe lack of trust and assurance in ny opinion. In the article it says if not converted or change to accepted crypto then they will automatically converted it to usdc, does this mean that they will not get hold of it and instead change users token into different one. Cause if thats the case there is ni problem with that, but if they gonna take it then thats purely a legitimate scam appro.
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it scam/rugpull or not ($QUON token) ? on: January 11, 2023, 04:25:03 AM
we can see that their softcap for the project they are developing is only 1 $BNB, for real? whether such small funds can really develop a project? LOL. This evidence is indeed not strong evidence, but it can be an indicator that they are going to scam.
Pretty obvious I guess. 1 bnb as softcap is like not enough for such fundamentals of the project. I really think that this project is joking around. I guess the evidence werent not sufficient but the act of deed might get some hint of possible scam. Pink sale presales are legit but afterwards projects did some rug pull. So better to be cautious when dealing with this kind of projects.
2044  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie it is better you take custody of your coins on: January 11, 2023, 03:32:39 AM
You said an exchange will leverage on one’s assets with them. Does that mean the funds being kept in the exchange with them will be used for trading and other purposes without us being aware of it, just like the way local bank does with our funds being kept with them?
The funds are in your control there when they reflect on your account balance. He meant is if you are just gonna stay put your money there then its at risk of being freeze or what, at least if you gonna put your funds there use it for exchange or trading to make profit, or to increase your asset value. Thats only my interpretation of what he said.
2045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A deep understanding of Bitcoin for beginners, it might answer your questions  on: January 10, 2023, 03:52:50 PM
Yes transaction are transparent on bitcoin ledger and has no third parties. But with its application there are tons of thrid party joining the league and also, there are ways to hide the transaction on it using some mixer, though this has been done by others. But you are right its the most decentralized crypto out there and no one can object with that. Bitcoin is the number 1 for a reason and Im glad that you are familiar with it.
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts about Polkadot? on: January 10, 2023, 12:19:58 PM
Guys, what are your thoughts about investing in Polkadot(Dot) right now? Is this time a good entry for buying Polkadot or should I wait for more? I'm not considering holding a long time for a bigger profit. Just looking for a short-term hold.

Any ideas?
Polkadot is a top L1 project and one of the major contender with ethereum, so seeing its price now at this bargain is definitely a gift. Who knows what could be the future of one of thw biggest project. But of course, in terms of trading perspective, we dont know if theres more going down with the current market. But doing DCA is not a bad idea.
2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celsius won $4.2B worth of customers funds on: January 10, 2023, 08:30:14 AM
With a lot of money staked by customers Im sure the 4.2B isnt enough to refund all their clients. Also Im not sure if the money would be use for that purpose but definitely some of it will be credited for that, at least even fraction of money by the customers will be saved.

But this is how the process works so sorry for those. They already have no money left hence applying for that bankrupcy.
2048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: age 28 is it too late or not to invest in bitcoin.? on: January 10, 2023, 06:21:56 AM
let me know your opinion folks is too old  Roll Eyes
I think you are asking a wrong question. Of course there is no age limit on investing. Even a younger one can invest in bitcoin as long as he has money or know how bitcoin works. Its not about age but the ability to invest or have knowledge on something they are interested about.
2049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: at bitcointalk.org you have to be mentally strong. on: January 09, 2023, 02:59:23 PM
Criticism is healthy if we take it as good advise. We cant always be right and others might have more better opinion and suggestion. Those newbies or anyone who can accept if they have been corrected will have a brighter future and great here in forum. One must learn from those to increade his level of intelligence when participating on discussion and debate here.
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 09, 2023, 11:47:04 AM
1: What is the impact of FTX bankruptcy sega on your
    altcoin portfolio?
Actually none. At first I did created account on ftx but I did like the UI and design so I didnt use it, so its a good grief for me that I didnt put any funds on that exchange. I knew some of my friends was devastated since they are fond of using ftx and some of them didnt manage to withdraw some of their fund due to restriction.
2051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 09, 2023, 07:03:31 AM
Buying when the price is down is a sign that you will achieve something good at the end of your investment when the price is high in the market, which is a popular strategy many potential traders used to make more profits from the community.
Buy low sell high is a typical approach however it doesnt mean that its always work that way. Some projects arent gonna go that way that why we need to be careful on choosing which one will have a good run on the next bull run. Yes its gonna be hard to distinguish thats why we need basic knowledge and also maybe charisma on choosing our investment. The only mantra you could use are your brain for these matter so pick wisely.
2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good and functional mobile wallet for Tron and USDT? on: January 09, 2023, 06:18:09 AM
Did the wallet automatically take care of the energy and bandwidth that JeromeTash mentioned in his reply as soon as you deposited some tron to it or did you have to do something on your end?
Yes trustwaller is fully automated in terms of that part since its a user friendly app. You just need to input the amount of tokens and the wallet where you gonna send or received fund prettt much basic like mostly on eth blockchain process. But you can always modify these particular details on advance setting of their app.
2053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges lie to you! on: January 08, 2023, 02:18:41 PM
Firms are always like that. Of course they will tell you its safe until the danger arrives already. Im not saying all, but the concept of decentralized are bypass with the cex, yes they could make it safe but the security will always be vulnerable to attacks no matter what.
2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real Estate Tokenization on: January 08, 2023, 11:07:40 AM
I think there are two or three projects ai work on real state tokenization on bounty and guess what none of them has been ever heard now. What does it mean? Simple right, its not for every application it works. I didnt say its noy gonna work but with the side of legal aspect how does tokenization can work best for real state. Maybe not yet now, but probably in the future there will more interesting approach on this kind of real use case field.
2055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good and functional mobile wallet for Tron and USDT? on: January 08, 2023, 10:11:19 AM
I dont know much about tron supported wallets but I only used trustwallet when using tron and never failed me to do some transactions. Got chance to use imtoken too but I think only once, also got good grief on using tron blockchain. But there are lots of new wallets I think. But based on experience, I could only recommend trustwallet for smooth transaction.
2056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think it's wrong on: January 08, 2023, 09:28:07 AM
Fast forward to 2023, someone I knew is expecting some kind of a new pandemic to put pressure on the world once again, he believed that the last pandemic was intentional, what do you think?
Theres always bear market but comparing it with years before is like an orange and apple. We dont expect the market to be the same outcome after this bear or even the pandemic wasnt planned. Even the pandemic the market was good and it was a good run. But the recessions didnt make it count since this is soemthinh all has been affected too.
2057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can newbies know when it's a good track of conversation on: January 08, 2023, 08:08:14 AM
How to know if newbie are ready to respond? I think its when he can understand the topic all about and knew the details to contribute about. Ive seen a lot of newbies who can response nicely, means there are many people serious on posting here. I think its really depend on someone seriousness to contribute and share. Its not bad to join, and even corrected since newbies are newbies and we all knew that they dont know yet to answer perfectly.
2058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: problem with my ETH balance ! on: January 07, 2023, 08:44:41 AM
actually i have some USDT (ERC-20) in my wallet (trust wallet) and when i wanna withdraw that, i need some ETH for Network fee , but whenever i transfer some ETH to wallet to do that , surprisingly somebody in just a second transfers that ETH !!
Means someone compromise your account, cause that is not normal if theres a transaction you dont know either you create new wallet and transfer your funds. There is a chance also that spam bot scam your wallet so dont click any suspicious link.
2059  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel comfortable with crypto exchange on: January 07, 2023, 03:46:52 AM
Everybody needs to fear crypto exchange without waiting for people to preach exchange is not good for storing bitcoin.   Remitano exchange is where I do buy bitcoin and sell bitcoin.  Sometimes it is very difficult to have access with this wallet to sell or buy bitcoin,  at times it takes 24hrs before one can logging this exchange. Just imagine exchange like this have some network issues like this and never gets back to normal again. This should be enough reason why people shouldn't store  bitcoin on exchange wallet.
Not your keys not your coins. Famous line but totally ignored. Anything you put on exchange is at risk regardless whether they are trusted or not. Trust is something out of hand lately and can go the other way around. I didnt say these exchanges are bad in fact they are super good and convenient for us. But when it comes to security, we should always remember to take care of our own and know the risk of storing to some exchanges.
2060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know what is the use of rewards, and since when rewards are given to m on: January 06, 2023, 04:25:15 PM
I think due to perseverance. Not all have perfect insight about everything here and has flaws too. But if you did it correctly and responsibly youll achieve ranking up which isnt hard for people who do their deeds with heart. Me too, Im not so keen about such topics and just bringing up some useful and helpful to others and eventually Id rank up I really thought I was gonna stuck being a member rank but able to surpass and reach the highest ran so everyone can do it too.
