How many eruptors are you talking about? Just so you know, you will never reach ROI if you just start mining.
I'm running 5 right now in a mining pool.  Getting ~0.0015/day.

Work your butt off for a month or two and then buy some real mining equipment.
Exactly - though it's hard to know where's a good place to get them.  So many scammers out there.

Wow, $1.50 per day. How much did you pay in total. In BTC or Fiat?

GPU asic only, I swear I cpu mined with one of the versions on an older laptop but can't reproduce the results again.

he ended cpu support

Oh ok. Sad I wish I was able to use something easy like this but mine an alt coin with cpu.  Cry

V 1.4.2 has CPU support.

But thats only for bitcoin and namecoin right? What if I wanted to mine feather coin?

Also a follow up...would sending BTC back and forth between Coinbase and Mt. Gox raise any flags?

Nope, they are a wallet service. They cant block a transaction unless its illegal (satoshi dice, betting) so dont worry, nothing will happen.
3044  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stay away from Coinbase on: December 06, 2013, 01:42:06 AM
So far I've had good luck with Coinbase. Just was able to complete an instant transaction as well. Funds haven't been taken out of my bank or my cc but they have posted to my coinbase account. Purchased 0.1 BTC @ $976 per BTC. Looking at this is it not possible to make money on the "spread". I've noticed that Coinbase typically trades lower than Mt. Gox and other exchanges. Could one buy low on Coinbase, then send to Mt. Gox where you can then make a limit or market order on a higher exchange? I'm new so be gentle!

You could theoretically do that but if everybody could then the mt gox prices would be very similar to coinbases. The reason people dont do it is because your funds usually get stuck in mt gox. If you are able to quickly and safely sell at mtgox then go for it!

Palau.  It's managed by the Directi Group.

What would your prices for bitcoinbox and wallets? I probably wont be buying (lost a lot of BTC and trying to make it back is my #1 priority), but I might consider it in the future.
3046  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Google Docs Spread Sheet for BTC-e on: December 06, 2013, 01:35:01 AM
Just updated the spreadsheet base on some comments received, the original version is still available.

Version 2 is at:

www.apoaps.com/cryptotablev2.html

Cheers

SteveW

Nice! Does it get the latest prices or is it static?
3047  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coinbase MiniFaucet Script (a MyFaucet replacement) on: December 06, 2013, 01:32:57 AM
I have updated the code on my site, it now accepts emails and btc however when sending from one coinbase to another coinbase I still receive the fee required error. I thought coinbase to coinbase was supposed to be free? Any thoughts?

This is what I was talking about in an early post. I also get the same error! Any ideas why?
3048  Economy / Digital goods / Re: MyExchange Bitcoin Exchange Script | Start your own Bitcoin Exchange for .25 BTC on: December 06, 2013, 01:32:08 AM
I'm curious to learn more about this as I was looking into setting up a successful mini business (low maintenance, modest returns) in the bitcoin world as I feel that I'd be doing something great for bitcoin users in the UK especially since Intersango (one convenient place) stopped doing exchanges for a longtime now.

I'll need to know mre via PM (like returns,how to setup-as I have no coding/server/hosting experience,transactions volume,costs to maintain this,how many customers,etc)

Thanks. Smiley

I can answer one. The cost will be around $3-5 (depending if you want VPS or shared hosting) for server hosting and thats pretty much it.

Also if you PM me I can give you a few tips and (free) services you should use.
3049  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Two years of forum ads: get cheap forum ads for a limited time on: December 06, 2013, 01:29:06 AM
I wish I knew about this offer sooner as I was looking to spread the word about my amazon UK shop (got to sell more things for the big move later next year) and my travel blog (need to get more visitors/sell adspace to fund it's running costs/expansion).

Since there seems to be only 1 ad slot,I must choose between what site I want promoted on here,My travel blog or my amazon UK shop?Maybe some of you on the forums here can help me choose.

Travel blog:www.film2240.blogspot.co.uk
Amazon UK shop:http://www.amazon.co.uk/shops/AI2E0Q506MT4A

Which one would you advise me to focus on for now?
Thanks Smiley

If you want more viewers then the blog. If you are looking to make money then amazon...

op says he had to scan drivers license and utility bill? I don't think I was asked to do this is there something I missed. Needing to have a credit card (would not accept debit card) for instant buy is bs by the way the way.

I use my debit card...

Haha, that too. I am trying to get an internship (I'm 14) there for the summer (not much luck yet) so don't take me... Grin

Looking at your website, you seem like a gifted person. Kinda remind me of me when I was your age. I was writing vb programs in my sleep at your age, got away from it for over 10 years and it's hard to get back into it.

Then again, that was back in the mid 90's.

Wow, well the site that's up is actually pretty old. I am working on a very beautiful new design in Ruby on Rails.

So no longer 14 then, good to know.

No, I'm 14. I haven't updated the design just the content. It was made using a theme at bootswatch. My new site doesn't use a theme (its custom codes) but won't be out for a few weeks.

Vote people, retro or not?

Any example of how retro would look? And ya, go for it! Smiley

You can expect samples soon Cheesy

I recommend you use the Cosmo theme from bootswatch.

What os does it support, and can it be used for altcoins?
no nmc and btc

Ok and is it windows only or is Mac and Linux supported?

mac works not sure about linux.

I have run bitminter using firefox and 10.8.5 osx

It is a java app, all platforms are supported.

Also can I CPU mine with it or is it gpu only?

I met a couple of the guys at Coinbase at an event in San Francisco a few weeks back. Being that they are based here, in SF, makes me comfortable dealing with them. I found the service to be good, though I have only funded my account through localbitcoins and sent some bitcoins to another exchange.

Overall, from what I gather, they are a very intelligent group that really cares about providing good service. There may be some hurdles for them here and there, but I can say they are highly trustworthy and go to large extents to make sure things are secure. Such as getting paper copies of the bitcoins and distributing them throughout the world in different locations so not one person at the company knows where they all are. They stated many times that they are much more secure than the banks. They have to be given the nature of bitcoin vulnerability.

I can definitely say I would recommend these guys after meeting them.

Same here. If they run off with my money I can file a report since they are only a few cities over.

Screw filing a report, crow bar, duct tape, and a road trip. Feed them to the gators.

Haha, that too. I am trying to get an internship (I'm 14) there for the summer (not much luck yet) so don't take me... Grin
