3041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just e-mailed Gemini support to ask when they're launching. Here's the reply on: April 17, 2015, 04:49:41 PM
Fantastic news, but do you really think that new exchange will pìcause a pump? I am not so optimistic, but probably I'm wrong....

Sweet  Grin let the flood gates open

xD we are sure to see millions of dollars flood in to boost current prices Cheesy

I just want to break even. They said it was going to launch in Q1 and Barry was saying his ETF would go live so I bought in March and ate a shit sandwich.

1. FUCK YOU, Barry.
2. I google the Winklevoss twins and they're shooting TV shows and hanging out with models. I can't get mad at that.

I think it is better to don't have expectations about the launch of gemini or other new "probably" services related with bitcoin (because if them will delay I am sure a lot of us will be very disappointed).
3042  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Palestine & israel? What do you think about that situation? on: April 17, 2015, 03:46:58 PM
Hmmm I do not think it is only a question of money but I agree with bryant.coleman, why is it needed this VETO? We can't call it a democracy vote where 1 nation = 1 vote but if one (or more) of those 5 nations will express the VETO, it can block everything ( Roll Eyes this is really insane).

May be we should give more importance to either GDP or the total population. Giving 1 vote each to Monaco (which is having a population of 30,000) and China (population of 1.3 billion) is not fair either. The US is able to get dozens of votes by default, from its minuscule vassal states such as Micronesia and Marshall Islands, which puts it in an advantage when compared to the others.

Yes of course, but they cannot stop the action with the VETO. it should be removed, because 5 nations can't 'decide' to all the others. I can say at 99% that USA doesn't want to help the Palestinian people instead I can say they want help 'only' the israeli government.

Waiting a reply from J. J. Phillips  (if you want Wink) without any sort of blame or offense by you, thanks.

Yes of course, there is not need to re-enroll each week. Most probably that users want to trace his count posts every week.
3044  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IT is likely the first person who will live to be 1,000yo is already alive today on: April 17, 2015, 03:28:13 PM
Interesting article, but I think get old is a part of the life so why 'destroy' or cancel it?

It will be the peer pressure. Even if you want to get old and die, your friends will talk you out of it.

 Cheesy

IMO this kind of stuff are for super rich people.

Except that here are as many as 3,000 varieties of astragalus, the plant group that contains the TA-65 (telomerase) that really works to reduce aging. And this is on top of all sorts of other age reducers that work in part.

Consider grape see extract - proanthocyanidins. This product has been reducing the effects of aging for years now by its antioxidant qualities. Back in the early '90s, you couldn't even find grape seed extract. Now you can buy it relatively inexpensively - $20 a pound or less.

We have bovine pituitary extract, which helps the brain and endocrine systems by producing natural HGH in the body.

We have pregnenolone, the master hormone, which converts on demand in the body into at least 99 other hormones.

On the not so accepted side, we have MMS (chlorine dioxide) for internal use to kill of pathogens. This product has been around for over 100 years, used as drinking water purification. But we are only finding out, now, within the last 20 years or so, how it kills all kinds of bacteria and viruses throughout the whole body if taken in much stronger doses than when used for water purification. And it is close to dirt cheap.

We have ozone and H2O2 intravenous and direct injection therapies (generally not generally available in the USA; go to Mexico) that kill off all kinds of cancer.

Most of our natural, ground drinking water has metallic minerals in it. Metallic minerals harm and kill plants, animals and people because our bodies cannot absorb them properly. We now have fulvic acid and other humic acids that convert metallic minerals in water into ionic minerals that are actually good for you. Amazon sells fulvic acid relatively inexpensively. Fifteen years ago the price was 10 times what it is now, and you could hardly find it.

These are only a few of the things that can slow down aging right now. When TA-65 (telomerase) becomes readily available, its price will come down as well. It is happening right now a little as people realize that astragulus is available all over the place, out in nature. As this unfolds, more and more the only way that people will be able to die is if they get hit by a Mack truck.

In addition, there is all kinds of research going on to reduce aging. The only way to make money off what works is to sell it to the masses. The only way for the masses to be able to afford it is to bring the price down.

Will the 1,000-year-old person ever happen? We won't know until a thousand years are up. But many of us who are around today, may be joyfully alive on some planet revolving around a distant star, a thousand years from now.

Okay, I will be in touch with the admin (vit 1988) and I will ask him if he can decrease the minimum n° of confirmation from 4 to 1 Wink. Thanks for your suggestion.

Thank you for listening to us marco. Hope vit can grant our request

Marco? I am redsn0w ... who is marco? Are you reffering to the user 'marcotheminer'?

....
Yeah,  1 confirm is enough for a site to credit your deposit, Most of the bigger gambling sites like PD credit after 1 confirm.

Read the post above, I will contact him (when I will have 5 minutes of free time).

puoi chiedere anche a Splatters e kelpy con i quali già in passato e nel presente mi hanno prestato qualcosa(con i quali attualmente ho qualche  prestito con la promessa di pagarli per lunedi).

Hi,

Sorry I really can't help you. I do not know 'Splatters' or 'kelpy' and I've never trade with them. Try to ask someone else always here in the lending section (maybe you will be lucky).

3047  Economy / Gambling / Re: •••• COINICHIWA • SUPER FAST ROLLS • 1% EDGE • JACKPOT •••• on: April 17, 2015, 02:24:43 PM
Did he Vit change it? It was 0 confirms. I haven't played there in a few weeks now, so he may have changed it. I'm not sure.

Its already 1 confirmation, its very risky coz some people can do a double spend attack.

Yes of course, you can try to gamble for free with a double spend attack. If you win and your deposit will be confirmed you will be  able to withdraw so basically 'lucky', but if you win and your deposit will never be confirmed  (you will not lose anything, due the double spend attack) and you can continue to try this "method".

1 confirm is only to cancel that possibility, and it is not a lot of time. Just only ~10 minutes (or less) and your deposit will receive 1 confirmation.

Did he Vit change it? It was 0 confirms. I haven't played there in a few weeks now, so he may have changed it. I'm not sure.

We mean, the deposit is instant with 0 confirmation, however before you can withdraw it needs atleast 4 confirmation on your deposit

The 4 confirm before someone will be able to withdraw it is only for a question of site's security. These 4 confirmation was always 'activated' in the site, it is not a feature.

I think 1 confimation is enough for the deposit. I just dont exactly understand why it needs 4

Okay, I will be in touch with the admin (vit 1988) and I will ask him if he can decrease the minimum n° of confirmation from 4 to 1 Wink. Thanks for your suggestion.

Over 3 weeks have passed since my deposit to BTER.. still waiting for the funds to appear on my account...  service is shit.

Which coin have you deposited? Why have you deposited? The bter service is not one of the better service when we are talking about the cryptocurrency exchange.

However they still have not provided a full and qualitative *response to what was happend those days. How the cold storage has been hacked? And other minor things. So I do not think there is a valide reason to start use their service again.

*if someone know something about that explanation, can he please send  me the various stuff. Thanks for the attention.

@theymos,

are you obliged to give them these 'data' or not?

Awesome.  Cheesy

Use PGP if you want privacy. Wink

You are right, I can't imagine someone read a pgp encrypted message and he doesn't know what the hell is write in that message (because he doesn't have the key for decrypt it ).

Subpoena is a court order, so yes he has to respond (either consent or fight it in court) or he can be jailed.

And yes you should always use PGP or something else for sensitive communications.

I hope they enjoy reading my pm's to Inaba warning him to stop trolling and derailing threads, and him whining about someone else starting it.

When the investigators read the BFL threads they'll probably think everyone here is nuts.
They might want to lock up everyone involved as a public safety measure. lol

Most probable yes .

Kind of scary how they asked for all PM's mentioning BFL. I recall a while ago theymos discussed the idea of adding javascript PM encryption as a way to protect the forum from unreasonable searches and seizures. It isn't the best way to do it, as of course theymos could modify the javascript at anytime (he could even potentially be compelled to do so by law), but modifying the javascript is detectable, and messages that were sent and viewed with the unmodified javascript are still safe. It adds an extra layer of security, which should be sufficient for most PM's. It would also be very useful should BitcoinTalk's database ever get compromised... again. Anyone who has something really secret to tell should use something like PGP instead of this however.

I think we should consider adding this to the new forum software.

The other big problem with that is how to handle private keys. If the private key is generated from your password, for example, then forgetting your password would mean losing all of your PMs. Most people aren't prepared for this.

This is pretty much the whole forum, right? Cheesy

It was 2.3% of topics. (This still amounted to ~5 GB of text.)

~5 gb of data, only for BFL Roll Eyes. Can you upload the subpoeana here in the forum (as the other one, the silkroad subpoena?) thanks.
3052  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Disable new user registration, Invites only on: April 17, 2015, 12:59:09 PM
I say its both good and bad!

Good because : We can stop(not actually "stop" but "control") newbie scammers! You know, Investor-Based Games section is the common home for all newbie scammers.

Bad because: Not everyone who uses Bitcoin know the forum users. They know about Bitcoin but they can never join the forum because they know about the forum but they don't know any forum user and they don't get any invitation. Lets put it this way:

Account rank  less than Full Member can't post in the Gambling, games and rounds and Investor-Based Games Thread!

Why? In that way it will be discriminated all the honest newbie, jr member and member users. I think it doesn't exist a real solution to this problem, and it will never exist. The 'censorship" way doesn't work Wink. Maybe the solution is "trade always with your own diligence".
3053  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Neteller now is using Bitpay to accept Bitcoin as deposit method - Big news! on: April 17, 2015, 12:45:01 PM
Hmm, this need some new tests ...

Edit:
It still show this message by clicking deposit with Bitcoin:
Quote
Bitcoin deposits can be used immediately for transfers to merchants, purchases via Net+, or transfers to other members. The funds can be withdrawn via ATM 7 days after deposit.

http://blog.neteller.com/2015/04/new-deposit-option-bitcoin/

Funds deposited using Bitcoin are available immediately for transfers to merchants or other members. However, funds deposited using Bitcoin are not available for purchases or withdrawals using your Net+ Prepaid MasterCard®.

I thought that this would be possible after waiting 7 days? Have they really changed it or is this blog post mistaken?

So basically you can't use your bitcoin deposited funds as balance on your debit card.

No point then.

It seems this is the end of "neteller" for all the bitcoiner, then what will advcash do? Because They also use mastercard. Will they 'force' this rule?
3054  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-04-16] Bitcoin is the world’s most dangerous idea on: April 17, 2015, 12:42:59 PM
In my honest opinion I do not think bitcoin (so blockchain) is the world's most dangerous idea, basically 'they' are worried because they will not be able to control it. With 'they' I wanted to say the various government and organization related with them, it is a normal concept "you are worried when you cannot control a thing", and if this thing it will be used by always more people it will be the end for those organization.

For me bitcoin is the best idea and concept after Internet, basically we have (back) again the right to own our money, properties, etc.. without trust any third party companies, we have only to trust 'math' or better bitcoin code (that it's 100% open source).

Thanks for the attention, this was only my personal opinion.

As for the OP, you can't prevent the topic starter on locking his own thread. If he/she feels that the thread shouldn't be commented on, or if the thread's main objective has been fulfilled, he/she can freely lock the thread without anyone interfering him/her by doing so.

Basically this forum encourage the freedom of speech and it seems this is one of the mosts not censorship forum I have joined in the past 15 years. So everyone 'can do' whatever he wants (but always in the respect of the other users).
3056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: London Looks to become Future Global Financial Hub for Bitcoin on: April 17, 2015, 12:27:18 PM
The reuters's article:

London, center of the $5-trillion-a-day global currency market, now wants to be home to a controversial upstart - bitcoin.
...
Backers of bitcoin praised this for lending legitimacy to the currency - which unlike traditional money has no printed form and remains outside the control of central banks - without stifling innovation.

"London has been the home of financial innovation for hundreds of years," said Nicolas Cary, co-founder of Blockchain, which provides bitcoin data and "wallet" software for storing the currency. "It would be a historical mistake not to make this the home of digital currencies. There's an incredible amount of talent and experience here."

Just over 14 million bitcoins are in circulation, worth around $3.1 billion at the current exchange rate of around $220 each.

Why everytime that there is a problem, someone will open a thread instead to try discussing with the other user through PM (personal message)? *just a general question, not regarding only with the OP but with all the users who have opened a thread here in this section.

To many people, retribution > resolution.

I do not understand what do you mean with your "retribution > resolution."

i have reported 2 or 3 posts i think

3060  Other / Meta / Re: Report Post Accuracy? on: April 17, 2015, 10:28:48 AM
If I reported a post which was against the forum rules and it gets removed, I should get an increase in my Report post accuracy, should I not?

But I don't see it happening every-time. I report a post and check whether it was removed or not and when it does, I check my accuracy but it does not gets increased every-time? Huh

It happened just now, reported a post, it got removed, no increase in accuracy?

If you report posts rarely, your rating may increase immediately. If you report a lot of posts, it will take sometime. I don't know the fomula used to calculate this. I guess theymos hasn't posted it here.

.... and what about me, reported +200 posts ans still 'blocked' to 86% ? The reports are marked good or bad, but in this case I do not know if my reports were ignored because my report accuracy is still immovable at 86%.

I did the calculation in the past, but I could not find the post. So Ill just do it again with your numbers.

200 reports 86% good, thats 200*.86 = 172 good reports and 200-172 = 28 bad reports. We assume there are non unhandled. That happens and they dont count towards your percentage, but towards the number of total reports.

In order to reach 87% you need to make a total of 188 good reports, or 16 more, without a single bad report.

actually I have reported *1706 posts , I wanted to say "in these last months (february-march) I reported those 200 posts but my accuracy is still immovable at 86%". Sorry if I was not clear in my previous post.

*You have reported 1706 posts with 86% accuracy
