HERE is one of the creditable forum member,  VoskCoin review about Jasminer x4
Thanks for the review
https://www.jinglemining.com/collections/frontpage/products/jasminer-x4-c-1u-etchash-server
Ram 5 Gb
5550 $ / 450MH
This ASIC is now paying off for more than a year, but if the Ethereum Classic hashrate is 50-60 terahesh, then the payback is 2 years.
I think it's a bad investment. I don't like 5gb memory either.

As a miner, I would prefer to keep the graphics cards and continue mining, but I will sell old and inefficient graphics cards.
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3090Ti or 3090 on: April 07, 2022, 11:21:05 AM
Yes, temperatures, especially of memory chips, are indeed a problem, which, however, is solved with the help of undervolting or using immersion baths, but there is still an ever-increasing energy consumption, which after the release of 4090 at which TDP is expected to be more than 600W.
Yep I read about this 4090 using 600Watt online, I'm guessing and thinking how this GPU will perform in cooling, a powerful GPU that uses 600watt can't be cool using a thermal pad and paste, I hope Nvidia knows what they are doing this time around, we dont want to experience RTX 3080s and 3090s all over again.
I think this is the maximum power consumption, but the real power will be about 300-400 watts. At 600 watts, a more modern cooling system is tedious. Although AMD had a dual-chip AMD Radeon HD 7990 graphics card that consumed about 500 watts, but the miners used it with the correct settings and downvolting, so its consumption was about 350 watts.
3044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig burning smell! on: April 07, 2022, 11:09:23 AM
Thanks, but which is the differences if, at first glance, i try to start my rig as is and i check if all of my gpus mine whitout issues?
After this easy and straight check, if i notice some differences in the hashrate of some gpus, then and only then i go to deepen, only for that specific gpu.
What do you think?
If any of the video cards is faulty, then you can get fireworks after turning on the mining farm. The motherboard for mining is more expensive, so I test video cards on a separate PC. If you think that all your video cards are working, then do as you please.
3045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Jasminer x4 on my mind on: April 07, 2022, 11:04:01 AM
I'm planning to build a ETC mining rig but Jasmine x4 is just too tempting for me, I could buy but I dont know how durable this miner are, I live in a country where not even an Asic miner can be fixed unless I send it out of the country for repair, since jasminer x4 is new I'm worried about getting parts to fix if anything goes wrong, anyone using this miner?......
After the end of ethereum mining, a lot of miners will switch their ASICs and video cards to ethereum mining classic. The profit on this coin can be very small, and you want to buy an ASIC for this coin. It's not exactly a smart mining investment and I haven't heard anything about Jasminer x4 either.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Goodbye my 1200 watt PSU on: April 07, 2022, 11:00:03 AM
I lost a 1200watt PSU yesterday, I'm running 6 graphic cards on this rig using an inverter and solar panels, the whole rig consumption is 460watts using an inverter calculator and watt matter, now that the PSU is gone I want to ask if I can use a 700watt PSU I have laying around.

B250 MOBO
Intel core CPU
8 gig RAM
6 gtx 1660 (none TI or Super)
I have not seen 700 watt power supplies with 6x 8 pins either. Most likely you will have to buy a 900 watt or higher power supply. 850 watt PSUs may not have 6x 8 pin connectors or they will be very short distance on 1 wire, so you have to mount video cards close to each other.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new A2000 RTX Rig on: April 07, 2022, 10:55:45 AM
I got some new RTX A2000 after seeing a build with these cards at my friend's but mine are all blower style GPU like my friends yet the rig shuts down on its own after a few hours of mining, what could cause this?.
Take a photo of your mining farm from different angles so that you can see all the connections.
If the mining farm is turned off, then the protection mode is triggered. This is probably overheating, but we need more data on the temperature of the processor and video card chips.
3048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Old motherboard not detecting new GPU on: April 06, 2022, 07:34:34 AM
Hey everyone, I have a AM2 Socket Asus M2A MVP Motherboard. I have hiveos on it and GTX 1070 works and mines fine on it. However both my 1660 Ti and 2060 do not work on the board. When I plug in either of them the hiveos gpu list is just blank and there is an error saying gpu driver error no temps. Both gpu’s are working fine since I tested them on my gaming pc. Does anyone have any idea why the 1070 works but anything newer won’t work? I am confused. Thanks
Check with other software versions, such as Rave OS or Windows. If video cards are not detected, then use this motherboard only for 1070 and analogs. I'm very surprised that you have this mobo alive. My AM2 mobos broke a long time ago.
3049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig burning smell! on: April 06, 2022, 07:25:12 AM
My rig is on HiveOs, so i go for the mining check.
So the gpus can also turn on, but then have problems while working?
If you are doing a video capt check, then you should not start all video cards at once. When I buy a used video card, I always test it on another computer before installing it in a mining farm. I install new video cards without checking.
If you have doubts about the performance of video cards, then it is better to spend a few hours checking them on another PC.
3050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3090Ti or 3090 on: April 06, 2022, 07:18:43 AM
I would buy 2 AMD Radeon RX 6800 video cards instead of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and get the same profit for the same power consumption, but I would not have problems with overheating. 3090Ti or 3090 are good video cards, but they are not for beginners in mining, because any mistake is a big loss.

Hello,

I have been out of touch of mining since I last used R-BOX with CGminer.
%
I recently bought RTX 3070 TI OC and was wondering if it is possible to use it for mining BTC or other crypto.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks.

The problem with many RTX 3070 TI video cards is memory overheating, because these models have DDR6X memory installed. If the memory temperature is more than 100 degrees, then you need to change the thermal pads.

Thermal Pads works but not the best for RTX3070Ti, using copper pads works better you will see memory temps at 60 degrees once installed correctly, this mod is getting popular on YouTube already.

I don't like copper thermal pads because there are so many problems.
You need to choose the right thickness, you need to achieve the best pressure between the processor memory and the heatsink. Incorrect installation may result in a short circuit.
Why such risks because of 6 degrees Celsius?
3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining CPU, RAM, SDD/HDD on: April 06, 2022, 07:00:01 AM
Hello friends,

Another question, I've heard time and time again that CPU, RAM, and SSD/HDD does not affect mining.

I want to know the specifics as to why it does or does not. If anyone is able to break it down for me or lead me towards the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
If you are mining Monero on a CPU, then the memory frequency and timings have an impact on the CPU hashrate. If you are mining Ethereum, then the memory and processor do not affect the hashrate of the video card. An SSD hard drive, more memory, a multi-core processor with 4 or more cores allow your mining farm to boot up and start mining faster. If you are using Hive OS. then for mining a farm of 6 video cards, X2 processors and 4 GB of RAM are enough. Even on the usual НDD, the farm works quickly.

Ok, my 2000W psu is dead!
Just during a reboot of my rig, anything turned off, but no strange smells.
Then i tried to temporary connect another psu to the mobo only and the system turned on, so it's surely the 2000W psu that stopped working.
Now i have to wait for the new psus to arrive, before restart my rig. Sad
Do you think that some of the gpus may be damaged after this issue?
The model of my broken psu is:
"Crypto Mining Xpert 2000W" and it is Chinese because I see several writings with Chinese characters.

maybe your gpus are good. my fingers are crossed for you.

Thank you!
I think the issue has been such as a forced power off, because there wasn't any strange sounds or smells.
Moreover, the mobo is working, so i think there aren't other damages.
I hope i'm right.
But is there a chance all my gpus were killed forever?
Can i check the gpus one by one, connecting them in turn to the working power supply, just to check they power up?
If i see the gpu fans start rolling and the leds light up, does is it a good proof of work?
Shocked
To check video cards you need a working computer. Run furmark for 15 minutes at maximum settings and after the test you can be sure that the video card is working. Or better run mining on each video card for 15 minutes.
3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Real miners never give up. on: April 06, 2022, 06:21:52 AM
Judging from previous numbers of crypto bans that took place it shows that some countries are in full supports of BTC while some aren't, few later changed their mind and join BTC but the only way to get rid of BTC is if all humans on the surface of the earth come together and do the same thing, stop investing in BTC, stop mining BTC, direct all your bashing power to one single pool to plan 51% attack, only the people have the power.

Intel and the USA goverment can kill btc right now, joint operation, intel with the chip and the USA with the work and means, right now the most efficient chip is from Intel, for the USA gov to get to 51% is pretty easy. The easiest way would be to purchase some hashrate and the rest inhouse. There is nothing that the people can do if govs want to kill btc or any other cryptocoin, reason I always say, be extremely cautious, never go full retard.
Have you tried to calculate how many ASICs Intel needs to release in order to perform a 51% attack? Or do you think that mining pools will support a 51% attack and then lose their business?
It's probably cheaper for them to ban bitcoin by law.
3056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash on: April 06, 2022, 06:13:44 AM
The more hashrate you have the better and faster you will get a payout, I won't use anything less than a 100MH on Nicehash so at least in 2-3 days I will meet the minimum withdrawal amount.
If you have 100 megahash, then you can mine on the Ethermine pool and receive payments in the Polygon network. There are very small commissions and a minimum limit of 0.005 ETH or $21 per day. Even with a hashrate of 100 megahash, you will receive the first payout on day 4.
3057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Time to shut down Raptoreum rig? on: April 06, 2022, 05:56:20 AM
I have 7 ryzen CPU that I use for raptoreum mining and it was so profitable when raptoreum coin was at its ATH but now its not even worth mining, is it time to shut down my rig? .
Did you have a small business plan when you started mining? If your expenses exceed profit, then it is easier for you to stop mining and buy cryptocurrency.
I think that as long as mining gives at least a small profit, the equipment should work.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash on: April 06, 2022, 05:52:10 AM
Hello friends,

Does anyone know what percentage does NiceHash take from you when you mine?
Is there a coin minimum that you have to have before withdrawing?
And are there alternative places like NiceHash that are better to use to mine altcoins?

Withdrawal Fees

Withdraw bitcoins or send money directly to a bank card. The minimum withdrawal amount is just $0.5.
There is a large commission for withdrawing to bank cards and payment systems. It is more profitable to change the cryptocurrency yourself.

LHR means Lite Hash Rate, Nvidia did this to stop miners buying all stocks and leave some to gamers.

Nvidia started selling the LHR series because they wanted to make money by selling the limited warranty CMP series to miners. But when the LHR versions began to hack, Nvidia began to lose money.

Radeon VII buyers are very lucky. These cards are still at the top of mining, although I have heard reviews that they are very difficult to repair. Any top video cards are always relevant in mining. RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 3090 I think will be relevant in the next 7 years if they do not die from overheating.
