The Nets routing the Sixers should be a good reason to never speak as if the result is already determined even before the game started just because they are "the best" or on a "good run". At least check the roster and see who will be playing. It's no surprise that KD and Irving could pull off a win since these two are scoring machines. They didn't put up big numbers but it was enough for a convincing win. Great job by Seth Curry too.
If the Nets are complete, they are a championship team we know that but unfortunately they aren't and both Kyrie and KD only played 6 games together where they are 4-2.
I think the Nets really has a high chance of getting the win against the Sixers and the boo's on Simmons? I mean we expected it already. The 3 things that I didn't expect to happen is:
1. The tribute of the Sixers to Simmons which is very opposite to what we are often seeing when we see all-star players being traded to another team. They showed to him his flaws when he is playing and his inability to shoot which I find embarrasing.
2. The boo's of the Sixers fans towards the players themselves. I mean they are playing at their home and yet they will receive boo's from their crowd? The Knicks fans didn't boo their players when they got blew up their 24 point lead against the Nets but them.
3. The outcome of the game. I expect that this game will be a close match since we might see a possible good match-up in the playoffs but what happened. Embiid and Harden shot 8/34 on the field. Probably not their night and I hope that if they will be matched together in the playoffs, it will not be like this again.

1)  it was expected the were going to treat Simmons rough.  He basically quit on the team and refused to play.  We're they really supposed to pay tribute to someone who does that?

2)  and as an avid knick fan they boo the team ALL the time.  Knicks have sucked for a good part of 20 years.  The team played like garbage and in cities like New York or Philly the fans will let you know.  Cheapest seats were going for $200 the product they saw was terrible.

Nets up by 24 and only shot 7 free throws versus 21 for Philly.  Wherever Harden goes this bullshit way of playing basketball won't work.  Just continually trying to get to the line while not playing basketball doesn't work against good teams.  Hate teams that angle for a zillion free throws they sldeserve to get slaughtered here.  Only half way through the bucket of popcorn....

Up by 29 with less than 4 minutes to play for in the 3rd, this is already a big win for the Nets already!

Irving and Durant both stepped up really big and this are the kind of games/pressure they live for, they're never scared, neither can you talk your way into their performance, James Harden is exact opposite of that tonight, he needs to toughen up tbh, imagine playing the Nets in the playoffs and this is the Harden you'd get ? Man!

When Ben Simons gets back, this Nets team are really going to be terrific!

Right now they are in the eight hole.   There is not one team in the top 4 that wants to play them in the first round.  If durantula and kyrie already available they should be the favorites whether home or away.  Big decision if nyc lifts the Vax ban.  If so then lights out, the Nets are dead set the favorites to win this conf.

When Dogecoin lounch, Dogecoin was a common cryptocurrency But over the trailing 14-month stretch, Dogecoin has rallied approximately 5,000%. And it was up considerably more when it hit its all-time high of nearly $0.74 per coin in May 2021.

With a veritable mountain of support behind Dogecoin, enthusiasts and holders believe it could hit $1 per token.

In terms of catalysts, there's probably none bigger than having the world's richest person in your corner. Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns only three cryptocurrencies. One of those happens to be Dogecoin. Musk is no stranger to promoting Dogecoin on social media platforms like Twitter, or posting obscure memes implying that Shiba Inu dogs are "going to the moon." what do you think about dogecoin?

Doge had its run.  Yes the holders think it could get to $1, but everyone and everyone bought doge.  No one is going to put more big money into it.  And with increasing block rewards 10k doge every minute and the market pretty bleak looking...I can see doge falling right back to 40-60 sats by the end of the year.  Easily.  Usd will be determined by bitcoin pricing.

76ers - Nets game is very predictable but I can't say the same thing for Nuggets - GSW game. 76ers will win this game obviously unless Nets make a big surprise here. 76ers are one of the best teams of this season now and they are on a very great run now. And for the other game, GSW might be seen as the stronger team but they still have a decent probability to lose this too. Because Curry and Thompson is still not giving the performance their supporters want these days. And Nuggets might benefit from this.

The Nuggets are doing better than expected this year in my opinion.  While they may lose to the Warriors, they have bright days ahead.  Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr are said to be getting healthy and back on the court soon.  That will make them one of the better teams in the league.  The state of the team today is pretty bad though.  In addition to Murray and Porter, also out with injuries are Aaron Gordon, Bones Hyland, Zeke Nnaji, Jeff Green, and Will Barton.  You have to wonder who they do have healthy...  With Joker on the floor there's always a chance to win, but I think betting Golden State to win is probably a good call although I haven't seen the odds yet so probably not worth the reward...

Golden state only favored by 2 right now.  On Denver floor and no draymond I can't figure out how they slow down jokic.  He will get everyone wide open looks.  I'm going against the grain and taking Denver here.  Just can't see looney holding down jokic.  Could be wildly wrong but hey ho that's the game.  Either way can't wait to watch both.

Sometimes it's advisable to not bet early as things like what happened with the Suns vs Heat game could have been avoided unless you are lucky that you were able to put your money on the right side.
Thanks, bro for the reminder. It's just that I worry I won't be able to catch the game that's why I put my bets early.
I think this is also the time where sudden rest for players are being given especially to those at the top seed of their respective conferences.

2 games. I will bet live for the Nuggets vs Warriors. Underdogs are the Nuggets? Could be exhaustion.
So just 1 early pick and some player props maybe.
I like the Nets to keep on winning their games after breaking the losing streak. 76ers vs Nets ML
KD 31+ points.

I'm with you here.  I think the Nets lean into the sixers on this one.  I'm playing the line at +4.5 guard against a last second win from Philly.  I think kyrie goes for 30 before Durant.  Kyrie is made for these games.  All eyes in basketball will be watching.  Wouldn't be surprised if he goes for 40.

Still thinking about the Nuggets and gs game.

I like your call on the 76ers vs Nets game, I have the same opinion, and unless Embiid is solely able to carry the team tonight, they'll probably lose the game, I don't see Harden being able to do too much tonight, I think he'll be kept quite by the Nets team and with both Kyrie and Durant on the floor, Nets will be tough to be beat, depending on how the first few minutes goes, I might put a bit on the Under too.

I don't think I was very much convinced by the Warriors last win against Clippers, Warriors weren't really that good it was more of Clippers being really terrible, and Green still is unavailable for the game, I'm leaning more towards Nuggets +2.5.

Yeah kyrie is going to scorch whoever is on him.  The x factor is fouls.  Now with Harden and embid squaring up they can get any team in foul trouble and lead the other team in foulsshots by more than double.  Boring basketball.  I think Seth gonna have a little something for Philly too tonight.

With that being said I'm also taking Denver.  Until draymond is on the floor, who is gon a control jokic..looney?  Unless splash brothers do their thing I think jokic has a monster tonight.

I don't know how you can say this is easily predictable.  I actually have money the other way on the Nets.  Yeah the Nets underprerformed this year but that's due to the constant absence of kyrie and Durant.  With both of them playing this is about dead even to me.  Wouldn't be surprised kyrie doesn't throw up 30-35 points here.  The only game on during that time and the world will be watching.  Dude loves these games.  Call him what you want but one of the toughest covers and no one on Philly can cover him, Harden doesn't like to play d.  And Noone can cover kd on the outside, if they pull embid out to the 3 point line the paint will be open.  And then seth...lots of mismatches here and actually think Nets control this from tip to tip.  Only way Philly wins is if they dominate the foul shot category here.  Popcorn ready this one is gonna be good.
3048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 10, 2022, 10:09:30 PM
Lakers lost again, this time to Rockets on OT. They are showing the whole world that they do not even deserve to be in play in tournament let alone be in playoffs. I do not know what happened to that team. They got westbrook and a few older players to help, and even got some younger guys like Reaves and Monk helping right now. But they are losing against everyone these days. Next stop could only be losing to Orlando, don't know if they have any games left to play in Orlando but if they lose to them, then it is really this roster over.

After this year, they really need to work hard to find a way to send westbrook away, don't know who they can get, but westbrook is not a player they should be keeping at all. He needs to go and they need to get someone else. Even Rondo was much better there, and he gets paid so much little compared to westbrook.

This was destined to fail.  Combining a ton of older players together has never worked.  And throwing reeves and the like isn't going to cut it.  They need to shed age and start from there.  And I agree I'd hate yo see them in the playing game and make it to play the Suns or someone who will embarrass them in a series.  But they probably will make it, since 11th and below in the league just don't cut it.

Going to be an interesting night for basketball.  The 76ers playing the Nets is a spectacle you might have to tune in to watch.  Luckily it will be broadcast on TNT for everyone to have the chance to see.  Ben Simmons returning to Philly is going to be a nightmare for him I'm sure.  The fans will certainly be letting him hear it, and I think that's the point.  Ben's agent, Rich Paul, alluded to them filling a grievance with the NBA over a toxic work environment.  They plan to have Ben sitting on the sidelines getting insults in order to dig up evidence to back their claim.  I'm sure there will be no shortage of examples of why Ben didn't feel safe in the environment.  It will be interesting to see if he ends up getting his salary back and what sort of precedent this will set for the future.  I'm pretty sure that NBA owners will be kicking fans out left and right if Ben does get paid.  NBA games just got a little less fun for the fans and a little better for players who listen to them.

IMO they can't pay em.  That will only tilt the scale towards the players even more.  They already collude to who they want to play with.  If they get to sit out whenever they don't want to work and still collect 10s of millions it will only lead to more things.  I could only wish to work in the hostile environment he was working in.  It's an insult to people that actually do.

Rockets beat Lakers unexpectedly and Alperen Şengün broke his career high by 21 points and 14 rebounds. Jalen Green put 32 and Josh Christopher 21. This young Rockets team look promising. If they get a good player from draft then rebuilding may pay-off well.
LeBron made another triple double and Westbrook put 30 but this unexpected loss might be a problem for their play-off chances. They should win as many matches as possible. Only six games left, I guess they need at least four wins. They have potential to do that but it won't be easy.

After watching the Rockets a couple of games I like watching them.  They play loose and if they grab one more stud in the draft this year they can be good real fast.  Grab a couple good vet leaders in free agency and they could be right in the mix in the West.  Jalen finally looks like it's coming together for him after a slow start to the season.

Rodgers staying with Green Bay

He got what he wanted, allegedly the highest-paid player now. Doesn't seem to be concerned with winning - no a lot of cap space left for other players.

I'm sure Giants will go to SB next year with Trubisky.

Kick me in the nads why don't you.  Teams making moves and giants on the block for mitch lol.  No doubt they are an insta favorite if they land mitch.giants better fix their line this year otherwise they will need to dress 5 to 6 qbs to make sure they have someone left at the end of the game that knows how to throw the egg.

3053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 06, 2022, 12:29:30 AM
Really wish we can just finally see Spence fight Crawford.  That would be an epic fight.  Expecting Spence to take care of business here.  Hopefully they can work out the fight details to get the Crawford match done.  Would be one of the fights of the year if they can make it happen.

The possibility for that to happen is high if Spence will win this fight. There's no other opponent left for Spence to unify all the belts but only Terence Crawford. They can do it in September after the April bout between Spence and Ugas.

But I don't hype anymore with Crawford vs Spence due to lots of delays that happened to make that official.

Rooting for Ugas to win the fight as it's more entertaining to see an upset.
Crawford even directly insinuated this after he defeated Porter in his fight some time ago Cheesy
He said "Who is number one in the welterweight division now?" and of course many of them were looking at Spence because it was during the fight that Spence was also there to witness.
Really hope this will happen because indeed this will be one great fight and of course there will be a lot of eyes that want to see this fight

This will happen, I mean there is no other choice for these boxers but to face each other. Spence though has 2 or 3 of the belts and then 1 for Crawford. So if Spence gets past Ugas here, it only make sense for this two to tango in the ring.

The good part is that Spence is not overlooking Ugas right now, he is focus on him and he knows that this is going to be very difficult fight for him. For sure he will talk about Crawford once he win this fight first.

Just because it lines up it all comes down to money and if it makes sense for both sides.  Crawford don't care who he fights.  His angle has always been to be the pound for pound best.  I'd love to see his go at with with Spence.  I don't buy many of the fights but I'd pony up for that one.  Boxing needs that fight to happen.  Crawford is fun to watch, always liked seeing him in the ring.

Is crypto now more than a speculative asset or just the same old thing based on hypes only because it seems like real life use case is far from crypto, we want it to happen for real but it's really not happening, what is stopping this from happening already.

Crypto as a genre is so new.  Computers were built in the mid 1900s yet they didn't really take off until decades later.  It takes a generation to be born under it to really have something take off.  Kids born today will grow up knowing crypto so they will be more apt to use it.  Old money is tough to swing into other classes.  Give it time, crypto is here and digging in deeper into the world economy with every passing day.
3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC miner for ravencoin exists? on: March 06, 2022, 12:20:34 AM
Guys is there any ASIC miner that can mine ravencoin algorithm or just only GPU? Also how lasting is ASIC miners compare to setting up graphic cards mining rig.
Asics can be made for any coin, but it is very important that after the appearance of asics, coin developers do not change the algorithm, as Monero developers do. And it is not profitable to declare asics for coins like ravencoin.

I mean anything is possible but to develop one it wouldn't make sense.  When you develop and asic for such a niche algorithm after it comes out the miners almost always become obsolete.  You can mine multiple coins under the sha-256, scrypt etc.  So it males sense to build ASICS for them.  Just set up a GPS rig for raven and have at it.

James Harden must be enjoying his game at 76ers now. His statistics so far proves this I think. And he was great last night too against Cavaliers. He had a big role in the victory there. But the game was still really close as Cavaliers made a big effort too. They also are one of the very impressive teams this season and they really seem like they will do a good job in the playoffs like I think the same about 76ers too. We can watch a really interesting playoff stage this time I believe.

Yeah, Harden fits really well with Embiid and both seem to be happy to move on from diva teammates.

However, with Harden he has a track record of starting really strong and then fizzling out as his relationship with the front office deteriorates. So definitely don't hold unreasonable expectations for him.

They can really make a run if Tobias Harris is contributing this year.

Yeah Tobias seems like the odd guy out here.  Watching the games it's almost as if he is an after thought.  They are giving 5 points tonight to Miami.  Should be a great game.  Gonna pop it on after the duke game is over.  Not a huge fan of Harden and his game but I hope he meshes and figures it out in philly.
3057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 06, 2022, 12:03:01 AM
Enjoying the duke game so far but just checked the lines and I'm taking the sixers +5.  Miami is definately killing but I like Phillys mojo right now.  Even if they lose I don't expect it to be a blowout.  And I'm taking the magic +16.  Yeah morant should go off tonight and Memphis should win by a ton.  Just hoping end of game when it's a blowout the young magic team can come back a bit.

Can we talk about Demarcus Cousins’ stat line last night with a few minutes… He put up 31 points and 9 rebounds on 71% shooting with also 4 assists and 3 steals. He did all this with only 23 minutes of playing time. Looking like the old Sacramento Boogie. If he can stay healthy and continue getting back to his old self, he’ll be one of the biggest steals in the NBA. Denver better lock him up with a good contract now. Staying healthy and playing well is likely to increase his value 10x if he can keep it up. Even for trade bait he’s worth the contract risk.
Those are really good numbers from a veteran player. The thing though is it's against the Rockets. No hate but I don't think he'll be this consistent throughout the season to get a better contract. At least he's showing that he's still reliable and efficient in some games.

Have to agree on this one.  Would need to see a solid month of this.  There's a reason he was getting let go through the entire nba.  Awesome game from him last night no one could stop him.  If he produces into may Denver might want to take a able.  But you don't want to lock up long term could end up being an Albatros of a contract holding them back.

Lots of good games tonight.  Tonight taking 2 road games and 2 home teams.

I like the cavs getting 7 points in Philly.  Shoukd be a tight game all around and spread is too big I think.
Also taking the Jazz on the road -4.  Jazz are one of the top teams and they can handle the pels.  Gonna be a good game but in the end think the Jazz are too much for them.

Now the home teams.  Okc +10.  Okc isn't great but they fight game in and game out.  10 points seems like too much on their home court.
....and the Suns only giving 6.5.  I know book is out tonight and cp3 is down but I'm banking on the Knicks having one horrible quarter to wreck their game.  Happens every game no difference here I see.

Good luck tonight everyone!

As a knick fan this one hurt.  Took the Suns and the Suns -6.5 won by 1.  Not only did they win by one but the Knicks continue to find new ways to lose.  Missed foul shot, 2 guys had a shot at the rebound goes to the Suns.  Cam who lit the Knicks up all night banks home the winning 3 at the buzzer lol.  Seriously can't make this shit up.  This team.. Roll Eyes

Coinmarketcap reports that today the 10 largest market cap crypto assets have started moving back into the green in the last 24 hours.
And this morning the most shining altcoin was Terra (LUNA) which passed 8.2% at $55.3 dollars.
Then Solana (SOL) also rose to the level of 87.32 US dollars or rose 3.5%, and Binance Exchange (BNB) which rose 3.4% to $373.4.
Likewise, the price of bitcoin is now in the position of $38,184, up 2.4% compared to the previous day.
And there are several other altcoins such as Cardano (ADA), ETH, DOT, and Dogecoin which rose 1.06% to $0.13 dollars.

Hopefully there will be more progress for all crypto prices.

There will be ups and downs in a down market but by no means are coin prices strengthening.  We are just getting into this bear market.  We haven't even seen the worst of these drops.  I'm expecting 2022 and even 2023 to be a pretty down or sideways at best market.  Could be wrong but crypto is pretty cyclical and we've seen the massive rises stop with Nov 2021 being the peak we are 5 months now into a slide.
