1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over the next months meme coin investors will get most rich on: May 05, 2024, 04:47:40 PM
So let's get ready and Im not Even bothered about btc.
This is always the mistake of many investors in the market. You guys are not bothered by btc but as a matter of fact, it is where the market is holding on. If it is not for btc, do you think that the market will be as good as it is now? Maybe and sort of.
If you are for solana, this has always been the case too. After the coin pumps, that is the time when many want to invest.

Agreed.  Without bitcoin everything else is completely worthless.  Look at markets where bitcoin tanks, altcoins go down even further.  If you don't understand the bitcoin market and try to dip your toes into the altcoin market, and even worse the memecoin market you are sure to get burned and lose your stack.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens on: May 05, 2024, 04:44:20 PM
When it comes to memecoins, it needs to be mentioned: Most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens.

Often, it is just a marketing move to designate a crypto asset as "Coin" but in reality, it's a token.

A coin is based on its own, unique Blockchain, like Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin
A token is based on an existing Blockchain, like Ethereum tokens (for most ICOs) or based on BNB (for many Memecoins).

And today, most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens. Keep in mind when investing.

It's good to point that out but either way it doesn't matter.  Coin or token they are all created to do one thing, try to enrich a select few while leaving everyone else broke.  I have found one of these thousands of projects that actually had a viable solution to anything beneficial.  Greed run sector.  People will get burned.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: May 05, 2024, 04:41:25 PM
Canelo was just too much for him.  Don't know what lies ahead for canelo but he has locked up his legacy.  Boxing needs some fresh new blood coming in.  UFC has kinda taken over the combat sports scene.  I'm a huge boxing fan so I hate to see the sport lag but there isn't much out there in terms of multiple quality boxers that sit in the same weight class.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 05, 2024, 04:39:01 PM
Only 1 game later which is the final game 7 between the Cavaliers and Orlando. The only series in the first round that went the full 7 games. Both teams won at home so the Cavs are favored here. I thought Cavs will beat Orlando easily and the other series games like Dallas-Clippers and Phoenix-Twolves are the ones heading to game 7. But whoever wins the series will probably has the most difficult task because Boston Celtics looked ruthless this season. Boston remained the favorite to crown as champion since the start of the season until this playoffs.
I would not conclude early because Boston also have weakness, but I feel the cavaliers are more deserving to face them as they have big lineup to give Boston some problem in the paint. Mitchell has been carrying a heavy load but just one game, win it and they'll get to the next level. So far in this series, either teams win their home teams so I would not deviate on that trend, instead I will just follow where the money is.

Whoever wins that series is getting housed by Boston.  Boston are easily going to take the first 2 games at home against either one.  Cavs are soft inside I think they would actually have a worse chance than orlando.  True can lock up Donovan and then it's downhill from there offe.sively for them.  Tatum and Brown will feast on their defense.  It might go 5 but I can't see any longer than that.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 04, 2024, 02:00:19 PM
New poll for Western Conference Finals. Don't forget to vote.

With the exception of the Cavs - Magic matchup which went to Game 7, the second round is set. The Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 4-2. Doncic and Kyrie step up. Let's see if they can keep it up against the Thunder.
The Timberwolves - Nuggets matchup is like a Western final. Edwards' biggest test will be against Jokic. The Celtics are the heavy favorites in the East, but all 3 teams in the West have a good chance.

I voted for the Nuggets vs Thunder in the finals. For me even though that the Thunder are a young team vs the experience of Irving and they have Luka, the Thunder for me is the more complete team, and it's only Kyrie and Luka who are doing the damage.

Thunder had SGA and then they have a good center in Chet plus other role players that fits perfectly in their system. But the series might be very close and OKC winning in 7 games hard and grueling series.

I honestly can't tell for either one of those series.  I can see any 4 team combination coming out of bmthese series in the west.  The east I think is a little more predictable, Boston is definitely wiping either the cavs or orlando.  The Knicks I think have the edge in that series.  Pacers can score but play zero defense and are terrible rebounding as a team.  Knicks are gonna feast on the boards this series.

Nice 2 game sweep.  Orlando looked good last night and Dallas rolled.  Tonight starts the series I've been waiting for glad it came together.  I'm taking Denver-4.5 in the first game.  I think the Timberwolves will take a game or 2 to get used to jokic.  Jamal Murray being the x factor here as well.  Either way I think this goes either 6 or 7 games.

Good luck and enjoy the games!

Wrong.  History won't repeat itself here.  While yes money is being poured into the mem coin economy the landscape is much different than in 2020 when doge took off.  Everyone putting money into memes only had a couple of good choices, now there are thousands of coins to choose from.  Obviously they aren't all going to take off and the money is spread too thin between them all.  Fools gold if you ask me.
there's only 1 meme coin that made it to hundred millions market cap and sometime it shows though, but i don't know why the avid meme coin investors always somehow figure out where to put their money and the fact that some meme coin grow so fast means the community of meme coin is fast to find out the next big meme coin to emerge.

but yes, the overall landscape is different back then its only doge coin and shiba inu these meme coins are easy to recognize and has been established since many years ago only to gain good value in the recent years.
right now if we see in CMC so many meme coin getting released and listed there but most of them fails to even obtian a million market cap let alone reaching hundred millions.
also so many use vulnerable people as an exit liquidity people need to watch out and calm down about investing in meme coin, its not always good end.

All driven by greed.  Most of these coins that come out are made by the same people/groups and are pointless.  The only reason they do this is because people are suclers and keep falling for it.  In a couple years they will all be all be worth nothing.  It's amazing people even buy these to begin with.

I'm not entirely sure why you would drop it into either of those.  Not really familiar with NEAR but I wouldn't with shib. There are tons of meme coins so I don't think the front runners will explode again this bull run.  The money is spread way too thin in meme world.  I'd take it in an entirely different direction.

Haven't had that good a run so far so looking for a breakout day here.  Bet all 3 remaining games I didn't touch that cavs game.  Can't figure them out.

Pelicans +1.5, shoukd be a close game tie goes to the home team.  Okc is young amd this might be a tough one

Heat +10.5, they showed last game they are here to play.  Being underdogs by double digits as the home team doesn't sit well with me.  Gimme the heat.

Heat/Celtics over 204.5. I know the unders have hit hard but I think the Celtics score enough to push the heat to push the pace.

Good luck and enjoy the games!

Dam another 0-3 night I'm getting torched these playoffs lol.  So why not 3 more bets lol.

Taking the home Pacers-10.5 with no Dame and no giannis.  I think they will be rudderless and with haliburton he will control the tempo.

Suns -1.5 just like the Lakers think back against the wall they squeeze one out, they have to right?

Also taking over 213.5.  I think it will be a frenetic pace, and at the end if it's close lots of foul shots.  Can see a 115-110 type of game.

Enjoy the rest of the games and good luck

Finally a positive bet day.  Went 2-1 still need a full night sweep here.  Got 3 in so far here they are:

Knicks -4.5, should be another tight game but with the series on the line if they are up in the 4th I expect 76ers to reach on defense opening up foul shots and easy buckets if they can convert.  Close the series out!

Knicks 76ers under 203.5. Can easily see another drawn out physical low scoring game.  102-95 Knicks win tonight

Orlando +5.5 at the cavs.  Yeah they are away but I think they got the cavs shook right now.  Gimme the streaking team.

Enjoy the games and go knicks!!

Brutal in more ways than 1.  Shoukd have gone 3-0 but the knciks completely and utterly collapsed in the last 30 seconds.  Brutal as a gambler and a knick fan.  I'm sick but hey ho here is another day.  Got 2 picks in and calling it a day:

Boston -13.5 they smell blood and they close the series out at home.  This should be a tough one even though they lost kp for some time.

Clippers +3.5 I like Dallas here but giving points to the road team seems crazy, gimme the home team here.

Good luck and enjoy the games

Shoukd have taken Dallas lol.  Well a split isn't so bad.  Tonight I got in 3 bets

Pacers -6.5 I think they wrap it up at home with the hurting bucks.

Knicks +3.5 again it shoudk be a dogfight but I like the Knicks chances.

And double loaded up on the under in the Knicks game.  Under 201.5.  This series has been hard fought every game and this should be no.different.  slow drawn out game with tight defense every play.

Good luck tonight and go knicks!

Well dam loaded up on the wrong bet lol.  The over hit but I won the 2 games so net/net even last night.  Either way it's a win for me the Knicks move on.

Tonight a couple closeout games.  I have bets on both games:

Taking orlando -3.5 they looked great at home and cavs only won by 1 last game.  I will take the home team here and this goes to a game 7!

Also taking the home team in Dallas.  -8.5 was a lot but I think they tighten the screws at home and win by double digits ending the series.

Good luck and enjoy the games!

The Lakers have fired Darvin Ham. Jokic has fired one more person. Now the Lakers need to rebuild. And it looks like LeBron is leaving the team. They might not make the playoffs for many years.

Tonight the Cavs and Mavs will play to end the series. I'm not sure if it will go to Game 7 or if the series will end today. Maybe the Magic can hold on to the series at home, but if the Mavs don't win today, Game 7 will be very difficult for them.

Yeah lebrons only move is to go to a top contender.  What's the point now to start on a rebuild team.  If I had a spot for a good landing it would be the Pelicans.  They are one or 2 pieces away from being a title contender if you ask me.  That and a healthy zion.  Or I can see him coming back to the east and finish with the cavs and maybe go for one more shot with them with his hometown team.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 03, 2024, 09:06:03 PM
Good cash and always the right move in bets like that.  Winning 10s of thousands guaranteed is better than a little bit more with zero being the result.  I've seen a bunch of posts lime this and they don't cash.  So many parlays lose with one bet, clearing a large parlay is near impossible (as we can see with the odds) good on you.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy ALTs now or no? on: May 02, 2024, 09:07:58 PM
Do you think at some point in the future the coins you are looking at will be a higher price then they are now?  If the answer is yes than sure why not.  Don't try to time the market especially the altcoin market.  Way too difficult to define.  Find a point where you are comfortable and come in.  If you think it will dip then just cost average in over time so you aren't all at risk.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: May 02, 2024, 09:05:48 PM
No they are actually detrimental for the market.  It breeds scams and promotes useless projects.  Eventually these hype machines will all be in the graveyard likely with the people who invested in them.  It's holding back and delaying good projects and will.lead to a lot of people that turn away from crypto because they got burned.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 02, 2024, 09:00:51 PM
I was expecting some more fight from Miami Heat side against Boston Celtics, this alst game was more like a walkover than a post season game.

Very strange how equal are the games on the east side for this first round of games, a lot of keys in a 3-2 result already and with a ton of chance of reaching the seven game in a few of them.

I think as far as the other east games you mentioned, injuries have a lot to do with it.  Philadelphia steamrolls the Knicks with a healthy Embiid in my opinion.  Same with the Bucks against the Pacers.  Milwaukee with a healthy Giannis or a healthy Dame should be able to get by the Pacers.  Unfortunately, when it comes to NBA basketball and the postseason, the single biggest factor is which team is going to have their guys healthy out there...  With the new no resting rules, I think the NBA should seriously consider putting an additional week or maybe even two before starting the playoffs at the end of the season so players have at least a little time to get healthy.

Nah that knicks are different this year.  I know I'm a knciks fan but the Knicks killed the 6ers this year with embiid fully healthy.  Think the Knicks took the game by 30 even with embiid scoring 30.  Knciks defense keeps them in any game and in any series.  Might sound bias but in years past I'd say yeah you are right.  Not to mention if we are doing injuries the Knicks are missing julius randle.  16 games knciks had a fully healthy team and was 14-2 with the best defensive rating in the nba.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 08:57:08 PM
Cash that thing out asap at least that's what I would do.  Bird in the hand as they say.  That's a guaranteed killing right now.  And also not knowing the status of Damien Lillard and giannis would have me shook.  It's at the Pacers too.  I kmwo the Bucks killed in game 5 but I don't know if I'd expect the same.  Either way good luck!

That's funny I literally just commented on another thread how I use litecoin in times like this.  When bitcoin is expensive I generally use litecoin to move crypto around.  It's accepted by a ton of places and by a ton of people because of how liquid it still is.  It definitely has its place and is here to stay if ypu ask me.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes' ‘Good for Nothing' Blockchains on: May 01, 2024, 09:17:33 PM
I'd beg to differ.  When bitcoin becomes laggy or expensive to use its easy to move in and out of places with litecoin.  Say what you want but that blockchain has been running flawlessly forever.  Never knock an old dog.  In time viable L2 platforms will be built that are easily usable that might eliminate the need but for now I still use LTC.
