3041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto be British?? on: September 19, 2022, 08:23:39 AM
People should not deceive themselves to think they can conduct a research that could let them know about Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi can be a group of individual which is what I am thinking. Sotishi can be a single person.  But to know this, it would be when Satoshi proves himself to be Satoshi. I do not know why people are so much concerned to know who Satoshi is when Satoshi do not want to let people know him which is one of the reasons bitcoin is different from all other coins.
3042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETH/BTC, what does it reveal to you? on: September 19, 2022, 07:49:46 AM
It is commonly just used by traders to trade bitcoin and ether directly without converting one first to a stable coin. Some traders also like to go for ETHBTC margin trading as I can see the pair on margin account on the exchanges I am using. But for people to trade unstable coins for profit like this using margin ratio, I do not have any idea of the reason they are going for it. As for me, i prefer going for unstable coins paired with stable coins, like BTCUSDT.
3043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you being secretive about your gambling activity? on: September 18, 2022, 10:11:44 AM
Are you hiding your gambling activity from your loved ones, family or so?
Or are you being 100% open about gambling?
I do not hide it from my parent. If I have spouce already, I will never hide it from her too. I gamble responsibly and no issue. The only people I can hide it for are my children and I will like to educate them appropriately about gambling too. To hide it or not for children is still what I always think about, because you can hide it and that does not mean any of your child can not fall victim of being addicted, but I am still contemplating on that if it is worthy or not.
3044  Economy / Gambling / Re: Professional Roadbike Cycling on: September 18, 2022, 06:48:18 AM
But I highly doubt they are many that will be or are interested in this niche/form of sports, and I also have not noticed any casino where this form of sports is included in the list of games gamblers could bet on.
I am also very interested to know what the community thinks, looking forward to comments on this thread.
It is a sport game that predicting the winner can be very hard, but people would go for cycling very well, just that it can differs from countries to countries. In the countries where the cycling sport is common, you can see punter citizens of the countries having fun gambling on cycling. The sport is quite common that way, you can see it on casino sites very well, maybe you do not use to check for it. I have justed checked Stake, Sportbets, bet365 and some others and it is there.
3045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 18, 2022, 06:23:01 AM
As an electronic currency, I will like to know if bitcoin can be use in sport betting, apart from using your local currency, can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.
All gambling sites that have official thread on this forum are all accepting bitcoin for deposit and withdrawal. That means they are money and currencies which can be used for gambling. I even prefer bitcoin and other good crypto than to use fiat to gamble, they make gambling deposit and withdrawal very easy, unlike before, especially when it comes to foreign gambling sites.
3046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 18, 2022, 06:15:16 AM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?
Why would I gamble when I know a family is in need an of the money t just use to gamble monthly, if the money is enough for what they needed it for, I can prefer to not gamble for that time.

But in reality, I use just little amount of money to gamble, so I would still be able to afford to gamble even if I help the family. I use gamble to make fun, but if I lose the money, I just only lose it without helping the poor family, that is absurd and not good even if I gamble with it and won.
3047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 17, 2022, 11:35:39 AM
Odds like this usually given on live match that has almost win rate. This kind of odds is obviously not for small players because they will not gain anything from it but rather for those whale players that usually bet huge amount of money like 6 digit. Imagine how massive the profit is when you huge amount of money plus the wager volume be added to your account VIP level for your rakeback.

It’s like betting on dice game with 99% win rate.
What I am thinking is that people will only use this means to have more addiction on gambling, they will think they can play frequently to turn little gain to higher profit. But in the process of frequent gambling, they may lose. Staking frequently on lower odds could be detrimental to their funds and possibly all capital may be lost. If I am a big whale, I would still prefer to go for a high odd, what I would look most into is for a bet to be valuable. Betting is not a way to make money, but should be fun, so I can still only use what I can afford to lose to bet.
3048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 17, 2022, 11:25:45 AM
What it means to win in the first half is that Barcelona must win at least 1-0 at half time, if in half time the result is a draw then you lose the bet. I personally bet for Barcelona -2.5 @1.7x and that means Barcelona must win at least by a score of 3-0 at the end of the match or final score. If you have high confidence in a team or at this moment it is Barcelona but unfortunately for 1x2 bets you only get low odds, you can still choose other options which of course have bigger odds. Anyway, Barcelona will certainly win, because after the match against Elche for the next match Barcelona is still safe because it will only be against Mallorca. Therefore, of course Barcelona will play all its main players if it is done by Xavi then of course, Barcelona will win without any doubt.
-2.5 means Barcelona would not score up to 3 goals. But you well explained it later in a way I can understood what you were saying very well, you meant +2.5 for Barcelona. I couldn't see it on the sportbook I have funds on right now, I would have gone for it. What I could see is +3.5 for both team to (total score), which is 1.75.

I suppose to merit your post, but I have no merit left, thank you. If we check Barcelona previous matches, they score high, at least 3 goals, and their opponent is not scoring, going for +2.5 for Barcelona would be good. I would check other sportbooks that I have account with to see if they have the choice available so I can send money there.  1.7 odd is pretty nice. It is a type that it is worth losing my $10 for if the match go against the prediction.
3049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 17, 2022, 11:02:08 AM
On sportbooks, I have noticed some odds lower than 1.1. I definitely know that if people are not going for such low odds, bookmakers would stop adding such low odds. Even 1.08 is still better (understand me correctly, I am not saying it is better), I have noticed odds like 1.02 and 1.01. On in-play (live matches), I have even noticed 1.001 up to 1.005 to be included. Why are people going for these kinds of low odds?

Assuming I have $10 to bet with this week, going for 1.02 odd, the profit is $0.2. That means I have to bet 50 times of the same 1.02 odds to get $10 in return. But my $10 betting fund which I could lose in just a single bet. Is it worth it?

I am thinking it does not worth it at all. Why are some people going for non valued bet of such low odds? It would only encourage them to increase the amount of money they stake on a bet and yet losing it at once is possible. Not a good strategy at all.

What is your opinion?
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 17, 2022, 10:48:26 AM
Elche is a potential relegation team and currently the team has only one unit point which will probably be very difficult to bounce back until the end of the season. So obviously Barcelona will find it easier to win the match with Elche at Camp Nou today. And I'm sure everyone is betting on Barcelona today because considering the already very good form and Elche who continue to be very bad
Definitely, Barcelona would win this match, Elche has nothing than to lose, but how could this be a profitable bet for people, Barcelona odd is 1.083 on the sportbook that I am using. Would this be a profitable bet. The first half win is 1.33. Would it be what to go for? I haven't place bet on Barcelona since the start of this season, I think I can go for first half win which is 1.33. But if this go wrong, definitely I still believe that Barcelona would have win after full time match played.
3051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partial Adoption of Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin/Litecoin) by China Court on: September 17, 2022, 09:40:59 AM
Yep it’s great to know that finally Bitcoins are accepted in china. I am now only worried, how they gonna impose tax on it.
As government anything does only when it sees profits for itself, so definitely in the next few days you will hear the news about imposing tax on bitcoins.
Nevertheless thanks to the decentralised nature of the coin, for which no government can ever find out how many Bitcoins a person has in in his wallets.
Yes, thanks to the decentralized nature of bitcoin.

According to the news, bitcoin was not banned as a property in China, just not to be used as a currency. China has banned bitcoin several times, there is nothing impossible. Let us see what would come out of this when Chinese citizens have already know more truth about bitcoin in China.

Well well well if it’s China. This is the most crap news that I don’t want to read if they really want to start being involved in crypto because they will surely cause a commotion again once the public already relying on them. Chinese can’t be trusted because they are investing for there personal gain only and they don’t mind if they will rekt Bitcoin in the process just like what they did before when they decided to totally ban crypto to there country after Bitcoin already gain a lot of support from there people.

China will just make Bitcoin worst and full of manipulation.
China FUD several times. The last one yet was when the price of bitcoin falled from $63500 back to $45000 by Elon Musk manipulation, then followed by China FUD that drew the price further to $28900 or so. But what happened? Bitcoin increased back and reach all-time-high. We do not have to worry about this.
3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partial Adoption of Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin/Litecoin) by China Court on: September 17, 2022, 08:50:33 AM
The case was about litecoin loan, but not only litecoin that is accepted. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are accepted, only that they do not accept cryptocurrencies as a currency, but citizens can have it as a property.

China Court Partial Approved Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin/Litecoin) to be used in the country. In spite of the ban of Crypto  in the country, China court finally rules in favour of litecoin (Bitcoin) to be used in the country as a digital asset and not a currency. China court said, Bitcoin was not  brought by the Monetary Authority in the country therefore, it cant be used as a currency but only as a digital asset.
I guess that was a mistake, bitcoin is not litecoin.
3053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Merge Success on: September 17, 2022, 05:00:19 AM
Ethereum Merge Is Done and considered successful, Do you think Ethereum has the solution Bitcoin needs and is this proof of ETH Next Of BTC after normal market?
What solution? Bitcoin has the strongest blockchain. Not affected by any attack, I mean 51% attack. The energy used to mine bitcoin are becoming cleaner which bitcoin miners are moving towards.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin and Ethereum is Ethereum. Using PoS on Bitcoin is simply one of the dumbest ideas ever, as PoW is one of Bitcoin's main defining characteristics.
You are right, bitcoin is bitcoin while ethereum is ethereum. I am surprised that ethereum PoS is still very centralized with over 40% of its PoS node controlled by only two addresses.

40%+ Ethereum PoS nodes are controlled by 2 addresses says Santiment data
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some of the legalities behind hosting an offshore casino? on: September 16, 2022, 02:07:40 PM
Gambling is not legalized in your country, then why looking for a means to make it possible to establish a gambling site in your country. It is not advisable for you, there are other lucrative businesses you can look into to establish which are legal in the country you are residing.

Alternatively would be to invest on gambling sites in a country gambling is legal and acceptable. Or you can find out about setting up a crypto based gambling site in a country gambling is legal to get legal licence.

I am not good in this, but just my view and opinion.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Clarity on KYC verification & online gambling. on: September 16, 2022, 01:53:17 PM
I understand the importance of KYC verification to be carried out by casinos, but since the introduction of use of cryptocurrency in gambling by online casinos and other betting services, does KYC verification from online casinos and sport betting services not directly go against the anonymity that cryptocurrency seeks to provide to people? Does it mean that gambling online anonymously is no longer possible?
There are some blockchain gambling site that are existing. Just like there are centralized exchanges, that does not mean there are not decentralized exchanges, so in gambling too.

As long as you are using a centralized gambling site, they may request for KYC from you. I have not committed any crime, I am not a money launderer and I am not in support of any terrorism or online crime activity, the reason I played on those gambling sites. As long as they provide the services I want, that is all that matters, the reason people are using them. Not that is have huge amount there, so I do not consider not having privacy while making use of such gambling sites. I was once on many fiat based gambling sites before.

Mind this, crypto is not for anonymous payment, only few like monero, some means of transactions of litecoin, dash and zcash, including some other privacy cryptocurrencies are used for anonymous transactions.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding value bets on: September 16, 2022, 09:41:40 AM
Tennis is one of the games I will never bet with my money, the chance of winning is too low and it is not about teamwork that you can be betting on the form of most members of the team. Many players are disappointing, especially the highly rated ones. If you check the table of the world's tennis players (both male and female), you would realize that the world ranking is changing so fast. So, anything can happen. To make the matter more surprising, it is the youngsters that are taking the lead now, the number in the world ranking (male) is 19 years old. This is last week's ranking.
I prefer football, but people also have different preferences. I do not like going for lawn tennis, but I prefer its in-play. To me, I see sport as sport, people even lose very well in football. I think it depends on preferences, some people have fun in the process of betting, especially those that stake just very small amount of money on each bet.

Value bets and arbitrage bets make a world of difference. And then with value bets we also have different types of value bets. When is something a true value bet? I think you're going to go back to an arbitrage bet anyway, because the odds are changing drastically. There are players who make a lot of money with value bets, but you can also count on your account being closed quickly with a bookmaker. Value betting is actually consciously looking for errors in the API. I think bookmakers should be tougher on this if a player is always doing this.
You only want to divert away from what the OP is talking about. A value bet is when you choose a team or a player with the odd having more probability of winning. If a player have 1.25 odds and have very high probability of winning, that is a value bet. But there are just some low odds that does not worth going for.
3057  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low is Bitcoin expected to drop? on: September 16, 2022, 07:34:04 AM
Some people thought that the bottom was $35k-40k(stock to flow model) or $58k(s2fx model). Along with that, some people thought that $20k was the bottom, and some people think that we can go as low as $15k, $10k, or even $5k.

In summary: "projections" doesn't matter. No one knows crap on what the next floor price will be.
But there are prices that bitcoin can never fall to again, unless bad thing really happened that could collapse the whole crypto market. The lowest price I can think bitcoin would fall to was $14000, but it was surprising that it only falled to $17600 when I was expecting that. Bitcoin is at $19700 presently, but I am doubting if it would fall below $17600. No much analyses used than the 2018/2019 and 2020 fall pattern which makes me predict that bitcoin may not fall below $17600. But if it falls below that price, then I will just hold on to my previous thought which is $14000. With this, I believe that the volatility has decreased, but if falling below that price, which means bitcoin is just as volatile as 2016/2020, which is what I am not expecting at all to happen.
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 15, 2022, 09:11:18 AM
The 1-1 draw was disappointing for Chelsea.  Because, statistically, they played by controlling the game.  Chelsea's front line is deadlocked.
A very great disappointmet. It was a home match for Chelsea, yet it was a draw. The match was dominated by Chelsea but unable to score more than one goal. Dinamo Zagreb won Chelsea, Salzburg drew with Chelsea. Those are two clubs I thought Chelsea would win, but Chelsea disappointed us all. It is likely and having more chances that AC Milan would defeat Chelsea too which could be both home and away match. Very likely that Chelsea is either going for Europa or the Europa Conference League. I do not think Chelsea would have a place in Champions League in this season if care is not taken.

3060  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BE AWARE OF THIS CASINO on: September 15, 2022, 08:36:03 AM
Before using a casino or other gambling sites, better to research on the gambling site. If you have resersched well, you will notice that MBit is no longer a reputable gambling site on this forum and it is advisable for everyone to stay away from the gambling site if they do not want to be scammed. There are many active gambling sites on this forum, go to gambling board to check that. Use only the active ones with active official thread and account on this forum.
