As you guys know (or should) I always keep an eye on www.coinatmradar.com to see how it grows.

Is there anyone here other than Mr. Toronto who actually uses these things? They seem weirdly quaint an idea to me. Literally everywhere else will give you a better rate on average.

He is  an academic so his books can be a bit cautious in its conclusions, but they are interesting never the less.

We are scholars.  I know what to expect.

Hey Arriemoller,

Got Fire, Water, Heaven and Earth and Archaeology in the East and the West coming from Amazon.  Please do mention it if you notice that The spring at the bottom of the well of time has been released in translation.

I only ever learned nynorsk, and that is really rusty, thanks.

First Amendment does not mean freedom from consequences.

If you say “I declare sovereignty” to your cat and continue to pay your taxes, then no, nothing will happen.

But I don’t think that was what seasteads were about.

And what exactly Elwar did? They just lived there.
You can live like that on a houseboat in the US and nothing will happen.

It's the rhetoric.

I am quite certain that if you started erecting spars 15 miles out in the gulf of Mexico and posting on FB about your libertarianism and self sovereignty the reaction of the USCG would be swift and unequivocal.

Global enclosure is nearly complete.  I really think that, short of an orbital Lagrange platform, the aircraft carrier is the only way.

sorry guys

I'm fucking grumpy today

What else is new?

I applaud you for dutifully reading the backlog of posts from your, rather lengthy, absence.

Actually reading the fucking thread goes a long way with me.

I am well out of my depth

yep, it also applies to the resolution of digital cameras

The corollary to the expanded definition of Moore’s Law is that the tech industry will find ways to render all that increased processing power and bandwidth completely useless through bloatware

unassailable truth

I hope the US threatens sanctions against those fuck heads for even threatening a US citizen with death over something so silly.

US probably put them up to it.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

My bank has charged me over $150 in "courtesy fee's" this month.

how very courteous of them.
3050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 23, 2019, 01:40:16 PM
I am sure Elwar paid more than that for his seastead.

I very much doubt it.  I have been watching the whole process and they were admirably frugal right along.  They used local labor, welded up the spar out in the open, not even in a shop.  Dragged it around with whatever they could scrounge up.

Elwar is NOT profligate with his money, they shopped around for their little boat for some time, and ended up buying a fixxer upper.

I would be quite surprised if there was more than $120K into the prototype all inclusive.

What sites are you using as alternatives to bitcoinwisdom?

bitcoinwisdom.io is a working and maintained clone

Damn...
129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

oh wow

I hope Searing didn't get caught up in that

Hey,

To the missing HODL-member-brothers, where I have been spending a long and fruitful time with as a true BTC'er, and will be spending lots of time with in the future... I just hope the missing REG's of the WO-thread could leave a feedback/comment in my MS application thread (read the thread and leave an honest opinion, pos. or neg.) I really do appreciate the effort of going out the WO- sanctuary and take a minute of time for me..... ( I do miss a few real OG-bro's)

THX, your BTC-Mic

Here's the problem Mic, and I really hope you aren't offended by my absence there, but your MS application scares me.

You see, when people become merit sources it changes my relationship with them.  For me the hardest example is Bob.  Every time I am about to engage in some jovial repartee with Bob I hesitate.  I wonder if I am going to come off as just pumping for merit.  I self censor.  The whole situation fucking sucks actually and I wish merit had never been invented.
3056  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 22, 2019, 04:12:55 PM
@Bob you can try Gipfy as well, its very easy there. you can trim video, add effect, text etc

I blow $700 a year on the goddamned Adobe Creative Cloud package, I figure I should learn how to properly do it in PS.

That's the thing I hate about the Adobe CC products. If you want to "lease" more than two Adobe products a year, it makes sense to me to just buy the entire fucking suite at the prices they charge.

Sheeeit.

Lol, count yourself lucky you don't need autodesk products

Select assets? sure, why not?  I don't have any specific information, but it wouldn't surprise me one goddamn bit.

And hey, welcome back Jay, glad it wasn't the wrench.  :x

Seriously some times this fucking rag tag group is just too fucking out there. Like I said in my earlier post I am more libertarian and I am pro Trump, I'll agree the US sucks at thinking through what happens after proxy wars but in no way do I think that ISIS is a continuously backed group  by the US and Israel. I think you fell down a rabbit hole and need to hop out.

for real?

man do I have a bridge to sell you my friend
