If we hold 5 digits this is bullish as all fuck.

Whatever. It dropped $3,000 in one day. That is the biggest drop we have ever seen.
uhhhhh... Dec 21 2017 Jan 15 2018 and those are just in absolute terms, if we go in percentage terms the list is huge back in your lane noob

a few hours of much needed consolidation and everyone loses their minds

we could dump to 9K and still be on a very steep upward trajectory if you just zoom out a bit
I'm actually glad we are getting a cool down, let the peasants get used to the idea of 5 digit corn gently

Excellent,
Thank you so much for taking the time to ease my mind guys. The recent price action has me doing node maintenance (migrated to a larger hard drive, updated core) and thinking about the mechanics of actually touching the old keys, something I get pretty nervous about. I have the paper with the 4 lines of 4 character groups, so I think I can continue using change addresses from that wallet.
Goatpig, while I have a sliver of your attention, I have seen you mention hardware wallet support as a dev priority. Can you guess at a timeline on implementation of that? While I will always use Armory for my deep stash, I have been thinking one of those fancy HW wallets would be pretty handy.

oh noes
the sky is falling

This is unsustainable. The price will be under $10k before the end of the year, and stay there until Libra takes over. Bitcoin is done. Short bitcoin.
Merited for making me laugh. I'm borrowing the jbreher rule. 'Make me spew? Get a merit!' wait.. what ?? giving bogus "doom is going to consume us all" type predictions gets you merits? Don't give the kid in the store a treat when they are acting bad. You guys are rewarding bad behavior. back to the shallow end of the pool noob

So what is this I hear about horror stories of people making a test transaction out of a large old wallet only to fat finger the unspent change into an incompatible, unspendable address type??
How can this possibly happen if you are using Core or Ledger or Trezor? It's getting to the hardware wallet I'm worried about.

man i miss the mining...
welcome back! I miss it too...in the winter in the summer, not so much

Thanks for the reply PF.
Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact posts. I just read a couple things back in the 3K doldrums and made a mental note to look into it.
I am pretty frigging paranoid about messing with the old paper wallets...want to make sure I understand any modern pitfalls.
I am thinking that as long as I stick to P2PKH outputs, or sweep entire addresses I will be OK.

Is this anti-segwit FUD or is it a real thing?
Is this something I need to be aware of and guard against as an Armory user?
