Well, without any SELL-orders, the price can't actually move anywhere
and without any blocks being created on the TRC-network, noone can add any TRC-funds to any exchange, so there won't be any SELL-orders.

Client is stuck at block 100626, restarting didn't help.
To give it a try, I freshly installed 0.1.3-28 on another machine, didn't help, once arriving at 100626 it's stuck.
Checking Cryptocoinexplorer.com which is also stuck at 100626.
Checking http://dustcoin.com/mining which also shows 100626.

Er meinte damit auch wohl eher die Diskrepanz zwischen Deinem Verdienst und der Anzeige des Bitcoin-Calculators.
Da gehen halt noch Pool-Gebühren, Stale-Shares, Network-Loss ab.

Da die Jalapenos bislang noch nichtmal existieren, wirsds wohl noch ne Weile dauern, bis BFL sie liefern kann.

Aber wenns denn irgendwann soweit sein wird, ja, dann sollte auch ein Intel Atom PC, oder ein Raspberry Pi reichen um sie zu betreiben.

Nutze zwar den bitcoin.cz Pool nicht, aber der dürfte das genauso handhaben, wie alle anderen merged-mining-Pools,
da brauchst Du den NMC Client nicht einbinden,
Du teilst dem Pool lediglich deine NMC-Adresse mit (entweder eine aus dem eigenen Client, oder die von vircurex), sonst ändert sich nichts.
Lass einfach Deine Mining-Software weiter auf dem bitcoin.cz Pool laufen und Du bekommst sowohl BTC, alsauch NMC.

Das denk ich auchschon ein paar Tage, der Kurs will einfach nicht fallen.
Ist aber bei den 57,000 new accounts auch kein Wunder, die meisten von denen kommen vermutlich nicht mit nem Haufen Bitcoins an, die sie verkaufen wollen, sondern mit nem Haufen Dollars/Euros.

Solang die Verifizierungs-Warteschlange bei MtGox steigt (und der NeuNutzer-Andrang dürfte bei anderen Exchanges ähnlich sein), kann man sich entspannt zurücklehnen und die Fahrt genießen.

Es gibt nur Transaktionen mit hoher, oder niedriger Priorität, aber keine "ohne".
Transaktionen, die alte Coins (also solche, die Du vor langer Zeit empfangen hast) versenden, haben ansich schon eine höhere Priorität, als welche, die frische Coins (mit nur wenigen Bestätigungen) versenden.

Es liegt also nichtnur daran, ob Du eine Gebühr bezahlst, oder nicht, sondern auch daran, wie sich die Transaktion zusammensetzt.
Wenn Du für eine Transaktion mit niedriger Prio mal keine Gebühren bezahlst, kanns es unter Umständen schonmal ein paar Stunden, oder auch Tage dauern, bis sie in einen Block aufgenommen wird.

450Mio find ich persönlich ein bissl hoch gegriffen, das dauert wohl noch ein wenig.

Irgendwer hat doch mal die "offiziellen" ASIC-Zahlen zusammengerechnet (also BFL+Avalon+ASICMiner) und kam dabei auf um die 900TH/s, nimmt man die momenaten 60TH/s dazu, kommt man auf:
960/60*Diff = 16*6.7 =  107.2Mio

Aber wer weiß schon, was die Zukunft für nen Plan hat.

A couple of friends bought all the way up to $30 and I always told them to hold and stay calm. Maybe they felt like it crashed, but what do you think they feel now? I always said it'll go to $100+, that's why I haven't sold any around $30 and haven't sold any during that "crash", because I was pretty damn sure that $30 is not the end.

Bitcoin (as an investment) is a high risk investment, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

For the user experience the price doesn't really matter, when you need to send $100 worth of bitcoins to someone, you just send $100 worth of bitcoins, makes no difference if that's 100BTC, or 0.000001BTC

All the negativity and bearishness reminds me of the last increase at $1.

Sure, it "crashed" when it hit those $30, but where did it "crash" to? $2, still an increase of 100%.

It all depends on your POV.

This might be the correction, maybe people realize that Bitcoin is undervalued.

That's pretty hard to imagine, because.... well, it'll never happen.
I own a bunch of coins and there's no way you could buy them all, not for all the money on this planet.
If the price is so high (due to you trying to buy them all) that you have to pay me millions of $ for half of my coins, why would I sell the other half?

Spekulanten != Miner
Selbst wenn Mining für mich nichtmehr profitabel ist, gibts für mich keinen Grund "auszucashen".

Außerdem wird zum einen durch Verkäufe dem Markt nicht unbedingt Geld entzogen, denn wenn verkauft wird, muss auf der anderen Seite ja auch gekauft werden,
zum anderen steigen ja auch immer mehr Spekulanten ein, die überhaupt jetzt erst von Bitcoin erfahren.

Es ist und bleibt ein rätselraten, man kann sich zwar einigermaßen ausmalen, was mit der Difficulty passiert, wie sich der Preis entwickelt weiß man aber nicht (wär hätte denn im Januar gedacht, das wir heute über $100 sind?).

Wieso sollte der Preis sinken, wenn (GPU-)Miner aussteigen?
Es sind Angebot und Nachfrage, nach denen sich der Preis richtet, daran ändert sich durch mehr, oder weniger Miner, oder die von ihnen verwendete Hardware garnichts.

Und bis FPGAs unrentabel werden, ists noch ein weiter Weg.
Beim momentanen Preis kommen FPGAs erst bei einer Difficulty von ~168Millionen (etwa dem 25fachen vom IST-Zustand) in den break-even-Bereich.
Da mache ich mir keine großen Sorgen.

Die Menge der erzeugten Coins hängt direkt mit der Difficulty zusammen, das ist soweit richtig,
die Frage ist, wie Du "Gewinn" definierst.
Kalkulierst Du hier in Euro, oder Bitcoins?

Die Difficulty ist in den letzten 3 Monaten zwar um das doppelte gestiegen, der Preis stiegt aber um mehr als das dreifache,
Mining ist jetzt also rentabler, als vor 3 Monaten, obwohl man weniger Coins erzeugt.

Das ist reine Spekulation, davon ausgehen würde ich nicht, aber hoffen darf man.
