3041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 12, 2021, 10:04:18 PM
If I have to list the roster for Lakers that makes sense.

PG : Westbrook / Rondo
SG : Monk / THT / Ellington / Nunn / Wesley Matthews , all these could play actually, but some of them will probably get a lot less minutes

SF : Lebron / Melo / Ariza / Bazemore
PF : AD (and Melo )
C  : Deandre Jordan / Howard ( and AD sometimes)

Can anyone really imagine that this team will not be champions if they stay healthy. I get that there are many times good teams end up losing because they have injured players, a team with Curry/Klay/Durant/Draymond/Cousins ended up losing to Toronto, all because GSW missed nearly all their players on that finals, it was lucky for Toronto. However if there is no big injuries then we are 100% going to see Lakers winning for sure.

They will be champion, though the Nets also have their big 3 I think the Lakers always have the edge as they have more experience and their big men are solid. Howard and Davis could dominate the paint and the Nets will just focus on 3 point shooting which is a low percentage shot when the player is under pressure.

Lebron could switch to PG too. Grin
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing the right time for profit on: September 12, 2021, 07:41:33 PM
Speculation is something that is done by every trader but not executed successfully by many.
The right time for profit is anytime when we have at least 1% profit out of the current trade. The profit % can obviously be big but shouldn't be less than 1%.
To take profits at the right time we must have a clear strategy in our mind and also we must be able to execute it successfully.
But many get indulged in FOMO and ruin their strategies and end up in loss.
If we aim to create concrete profits, then  we should learn to avoid FOMO as this won't bring any positive result but only losses. Choosing the right time for profit is quite hard knowing we can't even predict the market correctly. But as long as we see the investment grows and create good profits, then we can start reaping it before the price goes down again and lose the profits.

Most of the time, greed is also a big factor why we still end up losing even if we see already profits on hand. If we keep on waiting for higher profits despite of the high price volatility that cause sudden price changes, then we might see ourselves fall for the trap that leave us with a huge loss instead of a good profits.
3043  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: September 12, 2021, 07:13:17 PM
Avoiding scam becomes difficult when greed is at the fore. I just always assume that the goal of business people is the same, namely to reap the greatest possible profit from their business partners. As for companies which offers a maximum profit of 5% of capital is a reasonable level. If it's more than that, I don't think there's any sane business there except trying to trick one of them.
Anything that is too good to be true will always come out as a scam. So let's focus more on the reality of businesses rather than believing on projects wherein developers will suddenly abandon the project once they have taken away the profits. Better to be cautious and smart rather than end up leaving in a huge loss.

As scamming becomes rampant not just in the crypto market but also in all kinds of businesses, then we should be more careful and vigilant to see the real intention of such projects rather than giving out all our trust and money as a capital.

3044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Ukraine has legalized Bitcoin on: September 12, 2021, 06:47:59 PM
Bitcoin is already legal in lots of countries. If you check Wikipedia you’re going to see that there are lots of countries there that are marked  as countries where Bitcoin is legal, and there are places also marked as where it is illegal. So, it’s already legal in lots of countries,
Yes, some countries have legalized Bitcoin but they didn't legalize it as legal tender and this is what makes El Salvador different from all the countries that have legalized Bitcoin.
To me, the Ukraine and Greece government seems not to be serious about the issue of Bitcoin legalization because they have been on this talk for a long time before El Salvador think of using Bitcoin as legal tender and if this continues they may not legalize Bitcoin while they continue talking about it every year.

Finally, Ukraine ends up legalizing bitcoin and that's only the important thing. Hopefully, the next big step will be adopting bitcoin as a legal tender just like what El Salvador has did.  This is a very positive news in the crypto market and if by chance they will start adopting bitcoin too as a local currency then this news might bring bitcoin closer to its new ATH.

Despite of some negative news that come out like banning bitcoin in some countries, there are still countries who chose to be positive on bitcoin. And by simply believing bitcoin, this will create surely in the later part more positive and amazing news that will give credit to the crypto market.
3045  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 11, 2021, 11:20:27 PM
That's actually a good thing because that only means that countries are much more serious when it comes to trying to obliterate the pandemic once and for all, the only problem is that the idiot ant-vaxxers that's trying to hinder the progress towards herd immunity.
The issue is not as simple as you make it out to be, this is a classic case of individual rights and what society expects out of you, I have taken the vaccine and I would appreciate if the majority took the vaccine as well, but if you force people to take the vaccine then you are trampling on their rights, so the question is as what point society can do something like this and void the right to decide that people have over their own bodies? And this is not by any means an easy debate to have.
Well forcing someone to get vaccinated is already depriving them from their human right. The government is really serious in encouraging everyone to get vaccinated so that the disease will be prevented from spreading it but it does not stated in the law that it is mandatory and so everyone should comply.

However, with the latest implementations from the government, vaccine becomes a criteria to live in the world and those who can enjoy it and those who can't. So it is becoming unfair now to those who don't want to take the vaccine although its really necessary to get vaccinated as to stay away from the deadly virus.
3046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: September 11, 2021, 10:40:05 PM
Trading it’s not a game for young children. However if my child will once came to me and will show interest to what I’m doing, I’ll show and tell everything I know about trades and crypto without hesitation and even let him try with my assistance, and it doesn't matter how many years old my child will be. The main is interest of my child. I’m not going to force him.
Well introducing trading to my child is still not the right time yet. Currently he is still in elementary level so i still want him to focus on his studies. But i know that time will really come that he will start asking of what i am into and maybe give him a short knowledge about it. If i see potentials in him to enter into trading in the future then maybe when the time his mind will be mature, i'll be able to teach him.

But if in time he finds another way much interesting and could give him good profits, then who am i to contradict him. I will only support him whatever it is as long as its not illegal.lol
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every altcoins has chance on: September 11, 2021, 06:57:26 PM
I've seen several times that every altcoins doubles the price in a single day which means every coin or token has its opportunity to boom. IF BTC price does down they drop but suddenly they skyrocket by the next day itself, it's pretty hard to judge which coin might pump for the next day. Is there any specific website which might help me to identify? Kindly share your thoughts.
How do you determine if it's an actual pump in terms of development, fomo or if it's a purposefully conducted pump?  Lol, I don't think any coin stands a chance, not all 9000 altcoins out there are good.  Totally wrong, it is more accurate to evaluate product aspects and pricing from the market under normal, healthy conditions.  Altcoins will still depend on the bitcoin king.  It is certain, but not shitcoin will stand a chance.
If there was a facility or foundation that could detect the pumps in action first, we could be rich. Undecided
There can be no huge losses in crypto if we are able to determine which coins will eventually pump the next day or month. So what we have here are only wild guesses and speculations. Altcoin has definitely its own time to boom regardless of whether if it has high or low volume but its more on its own potentials that are seen in which the project continues to create good developments and huge demand in the community.

3048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you want NON KYC coin on: September 11, 2021, 05:52:42 PM

There is no such thing as NON KYC coins but any coins you buy from a centralized exchange which you have submitted IDs already, its already linked to you even if it's XMR.

But if you have not submitted KYC documents yet to any exchanges, that's good for you. Because in case there will be a crackdown of BTC owners you are safe. it's a precaution. If you wanna stay that way then better avoid submitting KYC data and be private.

KYC would mean a little bit hassle on our part but since its already required in most exchanges then we have to comply with it. Even in our day to day activity, just like going in a bank or any remittances to claim money or any stuffs, KYC is also required. So there's no way we can escape from KYC issue since its already part of our daily routine particularly in this time of  pandemic where  every company needs to have an access to its customers.

However, talking about a non KYC coin, bitcoin is definitely a good example on it since its a decentralized coin. I personally want a decentralized coin not just for privacy purposes but also as much as possible i want to keep all my coins secured far from the government's hidden purposes. You know its always good to remain anonymous in every transactions we made with bitcoin but seeing the future of bitcoin soon to be fully legalized and adopted then maybe we should start accepting that KYC will always be a part of bitcoin.
3049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2021, 09:23:10 AM
Terraferma's lucky run is over.

They suffered their 2nd defeat after the win streak and this time against the North Port.
A 20 points blowout win by the North Port and Tiongson only manage to score 9 points.

84-104 was the score.

Maybe they will start losing because they are already checked and good teams know already how to beat them. Maybe the coach will change their strategy, they have more players that are capable of contributing not only Tiongson. Meanwhile, the last game is happening now, Blackwater vs Phoenix, it's a close game so far, will this be the game that Blackwater will finally win?
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 11, 2021, 08:52:12 AM
Casimero though he talks a lot but he is not all talk, the way he fights in the ring, you can see his aggressiveness, so he is really willing to give a good fight to the fans, that's why fans admired him.

He should. It's a disgrace if he is just full of talks. Aggressiveness is good but not a good tactic against Naoya Inoue. This guy is far different from Casimero's previous match that's why don't talk first but proved it to the ring.

As I read some news, the fight has a higher chance to happened to compare involving Donaire. Maybe Donaire should just allow those two to fight first before entering the scene. Donaire's fight against either Casimero or Inoue will soon happen so he just need to wait.

He does not only talk, he only talks a lot because he wants to get a good fight, and now that Inoue has already agreed, then we should see a big fight, if he did not talk a lot, then probably we will see a Donaire vs Inoue fight which we already saw before.
3051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake? on: September 10, 2021, 09:58:04 PM
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.

Almost everyone has experienced problems, especially those related to the crypto world, be it trading or otherwise, if you make a mistake in buying some junk coins, it's a sign that the analysis you made is not right, so the purchase is meaningless at all, it requires careful analysis. carefully and from every purchase you make.
Its like dealing with doge coin. We all know exactly that meme coin are no good for long term since they have no potentials to survive once they experience dips but some investors still take the risk that it might be profitable because Elon has hyped it. Yes, it was once profitable but look at it now, its value is already very low compared to its previous price that was definitely high.

This is more likely showing someone's greed. But we have nothing to do with it because its their money that are at stake. The only thing that we should consider first is we know already that the certain coin is definitely no good for long term holding but still some invested it and come out profitable at first and eventually lose in the end.
3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to be a long term holder on: September 10, 2021, 09:43:10 PM
I really don't like greed, but this trait is shared by all humans. Talking about greed is never enough with the results already obtained, those who are greedy always want more than what has been produced. in many cases they will regret the consequences of greed. it is very important in investing to set profit targets with a full sense of commitment. basically the analysis we make will not happen with certainty. That's why it's important to set a target with a sense of commitment.
What you say is true, but in terms of holding and guarding coins very well it will not be included in greed because the long term coin holders never take it into a trade, it is entirely up to traders who do not set their targets and goals when trading on some exchanges and on some coins.
There's no wrong being a long term holder because its what exactly that give us huge profits from its long time of waiting. Either its about greed or not, but its the profits that we are after to and so we may make profits or lose it will totally depend on the holder itself. I think no one's gonna sell if you see prices are already in dips so maybe its another way round of holding again.

Trading after a long term holding is always expected so we can realize the profits that we have generate. And we may be lose or gain profits at the end of the day, its not important as long as the holder set his target price when to make profits and has only followed it.
3053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you scared? on: September 09, 2021, 09:32:26 PM
I never noticed any kind of important dump the past few weeks, even if there were, they were quite insignificant. It's all part of the game, prices constantly fluctuate, but history has proven us that eventually, Bitcoin, (and the whole market) recovered.

Let's also keep in mind that Bitcoin went below $30.000 a few months ago, and people were all over the news that it's the end of the market and all sorts of misinformation and FUD. Fast-forward a few months later, it has recovered significantly, after achieving a somewhat steady growth.
There's no reason exactly why we should get scared with what is happening now. For me, the events are just normal and if bitcoin price has dumped a little, but that's just temporarily. Now bitcoin has increased again so hopefully, it will continue going up.

I understand there are still a lot of FUDS coming our way but there's no way it can stop bitcoin from going up. There might be price corrections but let's not consider it as a threat because we know exactly that price fluctuations won't stop as long as the market remains to be very volatile.
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice 101 on: September 08, 2021, 08:27:14 AM
Wagering in dice can be a difficult aspect in dice games as newbies who don’t know how to set the wagering mechanism can lead to house advantage, which always causes constant losing dice.I hard my gambling mentor set the wagering number and amount to bet on that have steadily won in dice and place games. So a say dice skills are possible with the right instructor.
What would make newbies minimize their losses is if they are responsible in gambling, I mean, just stick to the limit as we can never win in the long run. With that said, that means there's no strategy that would work consistently in dice due to the fact that it has a house edge, regardless of how small, you can't beat them in the long run, but with probably bankroll management, you will enjoy more while loss is less.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 08, 2021, 07:59:25 AM
Less than a month until the Nets come to Los Angeles to play the Lakers for the first time with their new squads. I don’t know if the stars will be playing or not, but I am looking forward to it and hoping they are. As soon as I find out how to watch the game I’ll let it be known.

What is that game? is that a preseason game? because I believe the regular season will start in December, it must be a preseason game, if it is, I don't think the Lakers will let their star players play, I'm sure they'll save it in the regular season.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: September 06, 2021, 09:44:12 PM
Really good achievement, your concerns are understandable considering many bookies don't pay gamblers in case of huge wins. Only well-known crypto and fiat bookies can pay such an amount without extra documents or KYC headache. Pinnacle and Asianodds are the only two bookies that have no withdrawal or win limits depending on the line, so you will never fall into trouble if big wins happen there.
But these are not crypto betting sites, right? well, with the amount OP has accumulated over a long period of time, I think it's just right to comply with the KYC for his protection also, with some sites that promote anonymous gambling especially with no good reputation, the moment you put your money in their site, you are at risk of losing it already as if they will scam, you cannot go after them since they are not regulated, or if you could, but it might take a lot of time which makes you exert more effort and time to do it.

OP has a winning strategy, he just has to ensure that he can get his win without any problem.
3057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 06, 2021, 09:20:07 PM
This is what Oscar Valdez says:

Quote
"I have never used banned substances to improve my performance. I never have and never will. I am respectful of anti-doping tests since my time as an amateur and now as a professional," Valdez said.

"And since I've been a professional I have undergone more than 30 anti-doping tests, which is something we always ask for and we make sure that [drug testing] is in the contract, to do the VADA tests to keep the sport clean and to make sure that no one has any advantage."

https://www.boxingscene.com/oscar-valdez-i-never-banned-substances-improve-my-performance--160320

Yeah, we take his word, but seriously, how can someone who says who didn't take any ban substance was caught here? His A and B sample turns out to be positive, if it is only A sample, probably he get it from somewhere else, but both his samples are positive.

So I agree with some posters that he might have used this one to mask some other substance, or his condition coach forgot about the recycling calendar.

We are not experts in this area, let's leave it to the expert I guess. The fact that the fight still continues despite the findings, that would only say that he did not violate any rules and therefore there's no reason to speculate that he should be ban or sanction for being positive of such drugs substances.
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 06, 2021, 08:21:35 PM
Thanks for sharing the information; to be honest, I didn't even read the TOS because I knew gambling isn't legal in our country and it's not a good idea to use custodial wallets on a gambling platform. The best way is to transfer the funds to Binance or another exchange and then convert them to XRP, where the fees are very low.

It will be a huge problem for an individual if they use it and violate the TOS, because creating an account like a custodial wallet is difficult, and KYC takes a long time to be verified.

Once your name is blacklisted due to violation, you cannot make an account again under your name, you may still use the platform but under the name of another person, could be your wife, parents, or siblings and it's not convenient anymore for you, so prevention is really important, and OP did the right thing for this warning.

There's a good point here.

COLUMN: PBA better mount a full bubble before all hell breaks loose

Quote
CHICAGO - I just tested positive for pessimism over this fractured, ongoing PBA Philippine Cup conference in Bacolor, Pampanga.

My symptoms are serious doubt and mild outrage.

According to my sources, over 10 positive COVID-19 tests have now infected the tournament and I have a bad feeling that the league is not necessarily forthcoming about the matter.

I say that because the official statement the PBA issued yesterday regarding the postponement of the game between Meralco and Ginebra was spectacularly vague. It soundly defeated the purpose of a press release, a tool meant to convey clarity and withstand scrutiny.

read for more.....

My opinion is, they should act now and make it a full bubble if they don't want to compromise the rest of the conference, the virus could spread so fast, and these players not staying in one location might put them at risk of getting infected, one person gets infected and it could ruin everything.

I hope this would not happen, the postponement of games is really scary as they could suddenly announce that one player has been infected with covid-19 and it could result in a domino effect. In another article related to that, it looks like they will stay in the same location despite NCR is already in GCQ.

3060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit cards and gambling (tabcorp, Australia) on: September 06, 2021, 12:57:38 PM
Therefore the ban would be enforced by the banks and not by any government and the authority.

This is definitely correct, but banks would not ban credit cards if they don't violate the law. Banks are the implementors to its client, while the government under its agency will also enforce the law to ensure that banks are properly doing their job as a business that operates under the law.
