3041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez Feb 19, 2022 on: December 30, 2021, 03:27:51 AM
Filipino boxers are starting to be popular like Mexican fighters, so this is good for us and thanks to Pacman who started it all and supporting the young boxers.
We are heading to that journey but Filipinos are normally smaller than Mexicans so we will just probably reight in a lighter division, only Pacman is an exemption because he is the only 8th division champion who beats the biggest Mexicans in boxing. I think it's already enough to see some Filipino champions reigning in different lighter divisions.

I think boxing has been in-grain in Filipino blood, we have been campaigning since the beginning of boxing, Filipino's like Pancho Villa and others and then we have Pacquiao. The difference is that Mexico has a good amateur boxing as compare to Filipinos that's why they produce a lot of champions.

In any case, still this is a big test for Ancajas as others have pointed out and he shouldn't overlook Martinez because he is undefeated with good KO percentage.
3042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 29, 2021, 01:29:25 AM

For sure Odds wont really be in huge gap for sure and lets see on how this one be tallied up.

I hope so, I like it that way so I can take Thurman with some good odds. I'm not underestimating the young boxer but I just believe that Thurman is more experience, smarter and even if he is not active but I'm pretty sure he does things to maintain his body to be ready anytime in a fight like this.

This would be an interesting fight for Thurman. But high likely that the odds will favor on him here. If he wins this, he may go after with the other champions and test once more his strength and power. This is like a warm up for him for the succeeding fights that he will have. With the last fight of him from Pacquiao, I believe, he already learned something from that loss. If he will continue to be a humble boxer, he will gain more followers.
But if he will finally decide to hang his gloves, being a boxing commentator is a very good job for him.

If you listen from his interviews after his fight he seems to learn his mistakes from the Pacquiao fight. And for sure it has put a dent on him because he step out of the game for so long. And maybe now he is over with it that's why he is making a comeback and seems to be rejuvenated already. Yes, he will be the odds favourite, no way that Barrios losing to Davis will make him the favourite. Thurman might go for a knock out too if presented.
3043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: December 27, 2021, 02:37:54 AM
No one can control the bear market, I think, and as far as I know, the bear market is only influenced by external factors that come from various media, thus triggering a new polemic within the bear market itself. so we must be able to follow such information in order to follow the flow of the bitcoin market.
I didn't see that has happened that there's a bear market, isn't it?

I saw there's still a good market and yet we are still in a bull market compared to last year or the other year, it seems we're on a healthy market which is only had a short correction of the market price.  It's very common that the market was experienced a short correction right after a massive pump and as we can see, it was recovering right and reached again into $50k yesterday.

As I can see here, Bitcoin will not fall down furthermore, we have a lot of investors I have heard from individual to institutional investors and even there are few countries who started accepting Bitcoin and make it a legal tender.

We are still in the middle ground though, but fully in the bear market but the bulls are undecided at this point. So it might be 50:50 and we might see a break out run next year.

And hopefully we can maintain this levels, above $50,000 to be able to be above waters enter 2022. Because if we did go down to the low $40ish again, then it might signal that the bears have taken over the market and it might be the case next year.
3044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 27, 2021, 02:09:28 AM

Yes, exactly, so the delays have a 50/50 effect on the boxers, just look at the Lopez vs Kambosos fight, the fight was delayed and then Kambosos was more resilent that's why he upsets Lopez by a big win.

Not saying the case will be the same here, but the delays will have a big psychological impact on this boxers because they have trained enough to peak for the schedule and then suddenly everything will change just like that.

The delays or the rescheduling of the fight gives a considerable amount of time to fighters to condition their body and mind on their upcoming fight but also at the same it reduces the momentum or the eagerness of the fighter to win the fight. As I have remembered most of the time once the fight is rescheduled or delayed it ended up canceled but I do hope this case will be just like the fight of GGG and Murata since this fight was also scheduled to be held in Japan but was rescheduled too because of covid.

I think still favors Jerwin here, I mean he doesn't need to get his body used to the cold December weather in Japan as this was raised earlier in the discussions.

If the fight is still going to be held in Japan but push back, then winter is over and Ancajas who is used to warm weather might not need to go to rigorous adjustments as the winter might be over when the fight is rescheduled for next year.

It's not a major factor for sure, his team knows the weather in Japan and they will be ready for that so Jerwin will not get affected by the weather, they will prepare him to be 100% during the fight as it's a very important fight for the Filipino Champion. Since it was postponed due to covid-19 restrictions, then he will get more time to train and get used his body with the weather condition.

Yeah, but since it will be reschedule I guess it won't be a factor now but if this fight happens in December wherein it is very cold, for me somehow Jerwin will have to double up because of the weather.

So let's just wait for any update on this fight, for sure Filipino fans are again very excited because one of their very own are in the headlines again and has a big chance to win against his opponent. And winning here means more fights in the future.
3045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 27, 2021, 01:49:22 AM
At the same time, he will make the Filipinos proud of his achievement and will be another Filipino world champion. There's a lot of stake in this fight, Magsayo's dream will be achieved if he wins this fight and I'm believing he can make it despite being an underdog. He just has to focus on this fight and win it, afterwards, the money will come and he'll enjoy being a champion.

Another title, another chance for a bigger ticket. Magsayo, if ever will win against Russel, will be in multiple title defense next and if successfully wins all of that, probably he can step up on another division and show his wildness there. A clean record in Featherweight is showing Magsayo's dominance in this division.

Here are the possible next opponents for Magsayo if he wins the WBC title from Russell:

Emanuel Navarrete
Mauricio Lara
Josh Warrington

These are the current Top 3 featherweight and Magsayo was just behind them.

Those names are really big in the featherweight division and if I'm not mistaken, Josh Warrington holds 2 belts already. And it's also possible that another Filipino will go up in weight, John Riel Casimero and go full featherweight as well.

Anyhow, Magsayo should look first on how to beat Russell because he will be the underdog in this fight. He has to deal with Russell's speed first and how to negate it with his power and counter punching.
3046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 26, 2021, 06:24:24 AM
From what we can read since this is just an exhibition fight, they can put any clause in a contract, besides Mike is old, he might not be able to absorb power punches from a young boxer.

That was already expected. It seems impossible to think that there's no plan agreement on the fight. Mike Tyson will not throw away his big reputation therefore, I believe the agreement will benefit him. As others said, the exhibition match between him and Logan Paul might end up in a no-winner decision to save both boxers' asses on their future match.

The fight will still gather good profit because it's Mike Tyson who will fight. Millenials didn't see Mike Tyson fighting before and the exhibition match is a good chance to see him fighting again.

Then that would still be an agreement, honestly, I find it boring when no winner is announce, I get that they want to protect the future of a certain boxer but that would not make this kind of fight entertaining as we already know what to expect if both popular fighters go against each other.

And that is what they call this boxing match, exhibitions, because they can totally rigged the results. But at the end of the day, still up to the fans whether they are going to support this kind of fights or not because it's not that exciting to watch to be honest. Mike Tyson's previous fight with Roy Jones was obviously rigged as well so I'm expecting the same here.
3047  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA shows potential bullish breakout - if history repeats on: December 26, 2021, 05:54:07 AM
Any part of history can repeat - but it's what part of history repeats that matters.

I personally think that a breakout is going to be almost impossible given the current circumstances.

The halving cycle is coming to an end as of currently while the Christmas rally has shown that $50k resistance is still quite strong. It'll take a lot to reverse this bearishness.

I'm not seeing any bullish break out, maybe few occasions this holiday but that's it for 2021. We should all look forward next year and see how it goes.

The thing is that if we look at the pattern, in 2017 we have a massive bullrun reaching new all time high. And the same happens this year, actually 2x we have a new all time high. And in 2018, it went downward spiral for us and it was the start of a bear run. So not saying that it could repeat in 2022, but if we are going to look at past history and says "history repeats" itself, then just be prepared for the worst.
3048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 26, 2021, 04:57:40 AM

Why would you lose? Its better for everyone that Novak Djokovic plays in this tournament. Who cares if he is vaccinated or not,it will make tennis much better on the tournament and much more intresting honestly. I dont really care if he is vacinated or not i want to see him play for few more years on as much as possible tournament before he retires.

I don't agree; nobody is above the law so everybody needs to follow the rules. I think a tournament without Djokovic can even be more interesting as the field will be more open. If Djokovic doesn't want to take the shot, I am not sure if he will get a medical exemption as it needs to be granted by an independent panel of experts...

I seconded this opinion, @Joca97 - you mean it is ok to play regardless if people around you comply with the law of getting fully vaccinated? So Djokovic can go around that rule, not only with the Tennis Federation but it was mandated by the Victorian government to get a jab before you can enter the any tournament for that matter in Australia.
3049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 26, 2021, 04:17:36 AM
bitcoin is a long-term investment that is very relevant, for us to save money and is very safe and controlled. we don't need to doubt about very good security, for example we save an emergency fund if we can't save in the bank
I'm quite amazed that you think bitcoin is safe and controlled, this is really a story that is completely opposite to my feelings, its value has never made me feel at peace every day and i admit i cant manage it, sometimes he will be a good boy but sometimes, he will be a stubborn boy. Bitcoin has privacy and safety standards but it doesn't add to the monthly interest and it is asking us to operate more independently without support from it, this bank is probably a spontaneous product and may pose a high risk to the user

Well if you are not at peace with the price then why you invest? And being a Bitcoin investors, it takes a lot of mental toughness and again, if you don't have that kind of attitude, it will be very difficult for you here. And I think majority here has learn it the hard way, and just like what the OP describe, he keeps everything on Bitcoin and today has make a lot of money for him.
3050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 26, 2021, 03:43:01 AM
bitcoin is holding between $50k - $51k and has been spinning at the same rate for the past two days. We can see bitcoin's growth again after falling sharply yesterday and now it looks normal at the initial support price even though it has not been able to penetrate the previous high at least there is a bit of initial resistance in the bitcoin market price.

I don't think we can consider this normal, well this could be a 'normal Christmas pump'. But after this I'm seeing the price going down again to $48,000 for some time and it might trade sideways until we will see a good "New Year pump".

So the real price movement will be the start of next year, it will spell whether we are in the bullish or bearish trend so better watch early so that we can make our investment and trading adjustments.
3051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 26, 2021, 03:23:02 AM
Just make this fight happen and ever Casimero would win this one then he should aim for Inoue next on line.
Yeah, this match has been the middle ground and delayed the fight of Casimero for Inoue. It's what we want and this match should just happen and end. But good to know that the belt is still with Casimero.

I guess we're going to see the next development on this case. But they should listen to the voice of the people on which match we want to see for Casimero and that's with Inoue. There go the others too that wants to see him fight Donaire.

It's really up to Casimero, if he insists to his manager to get Inoue at all cost then maybe they can negotiate with Bob to seal the fight. However, if Bob says no as he wanted to milk Inoue more then we won't see the fight. Of course this is want we wanted to see, but boxing is business so it will make sense for boxing managers to seek more lucrative money fights instead of unification. Although in the end it will be inevitable as they are the champions in this divisions.
3052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2021, 02:48:27 AM
{..snip..}

I don't think he Spence is avoiding Crawford. Maybe it make sense to get the belt from Ugas first and then go after Crawford for the unification bout in mid or late 2022 that will put a lot of money in the table. Maybe Crawford can fight Thurman too if "One Time", can get over Barrios this February. So there's a lot of options still open for Crawford while waiting for Spence.
3053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 26, 2021, 02:28:01 AM
Very intriguing match, I mean Thurman is away from boxing for 2 years and finally decided to come back because there's a lot of fights around not involving him. So I guess it's enough for him to make a comeback and put his name into the discussions again. But what intrigues me is the fighter he chooses to make a comeback, he is a 140 lbs trying to get a feel of 147 lbs. So this is going to be an easy fight for Thurman.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNREALIZED PROFIT IS TECHNICALLY NOT YOUR MONEY on: December 25, 2021, 09:59:49 AM
Merry Christmas to you too.
I took all my profits for this year and put it all in Bitcoin while it's still cheap. Yes, some may say it is not yet profit because it is still not cash but for me it's different. As long as I can hoard more Bitcoin in every process/service that I do then I consider it a winning situation.
It may not be cash but it's an asset that most investor would look out to buy even for the next 10 years.

Didn't ride that Shiba craze but this NFT trend had done a lot of good things to me. Most of my investments where lucky enough to be double and tripled. This year is something to remember.

Same here, I just put it all in Bitcoin and I would say it's all good despite the fact that it will downward spiral after hitting all time high. And still going to continue to hold as long as I can, maybe take a fraction if needed.

As for the Shiba and other meme coins, I'm also late so didn't get in and I don't want to stress myself with all this meme coins so I'm just happy with my Bitcoin investments so far.
3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest in a possible Bear market? on: December 25, 2021, 09:20:06 AM
Base on experienced? I would say still the best altcoin in the top10-20. Because once they really went down hard during the bearish trend, it's better to fill your bags again and then wait for the next bull run in about 3 years.

Look at the price of Ethereum, during it's worst year in 2018, the price is less than ~$100.

And see what the price is doing today, not sure how much % is the increase, but for sure it will give you that huge profits down the road, if you buy them at the bear market and hold on it.
3056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: December 25, 2021, 08:58:42 AM
This is how One day, the whole world will accept bitcoin. Everywhere we go, every grocery store, every payment section, we will see bitcoin payment options like our currency, and they will not ask for money; instead, they will simply say "please pay with bitcoin," or the customer may request the bitcoin QR code. And I believe that this will happen, guaranteed. We just have to wait for that day. I know it will take time, but it will happen. And the bitcoin price that day, you can't even imagine it.

But let's not get ahead of our selves here, this is just one store and it's in Mexico.

If this is a US based and big store, maybe it's enough to bring significant hype around it. But I don't think this is enough to push the price or even bring it closer to adoption though. It might take years to accomplished it and we need some big name stores to spear head, maybe like Amazon or some big retail stores in the US to bolsters Bitcoin image as payment scheme.
3057  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 25, 2021, 07:51:03 AM
Agree with that, because he won't become an undisputed champion if he is not seriously training in every game. I see him as a good example of a boxer, the discipline is there and he is very ambitious to achieve his goal, I mean he is trying to make history here and since he is still young, I expect him to achieve more success in the long run.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu is a good ifght to witness, but just like a regular fan, I'm going with Canelo who never fails to amazed me.

Canelo has a fighting spirit that always leads him to a victorious fight and that's why also he became the undisputed champion at the present time. Leveling up from his current division to CW will be going challenging for Canelo but for sure he and his team have been assessing and analyzing already if Canelo would be fit to level up his division. It is also undoubtedly that Canelo Vs. Makabu will be going to be one of the anticipated fights, it will going to be challenging for both fighters but like many of us here I am also going to be with Canelo.

I don't know if it is true, but I read that Canelo was surprised to see that his trainer Eddie Reynoso proposes this fight during the WBC convention. So it really didn't come from Canelo itself, but the idea was Reynoso from the beginning.

But Canelo is his student so maybe he can't complain what the teacher wanted from his student. But for sure he knows Canelo's ability and he knows that he can win this fight in CW.

3059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 25, 2021, 03:29:56 AM
I have lost all my capital to trading but still yet I feel the urge to trade more, I spent a huge capital to trade some new coins recently and was actively involved in spot trading. But recently I lost all my capital and I decided to give a break but now am feeling I should return back to trading.

We can't decide for you mate, the final decision is yours. Do you think it's logical to come back after a huge lost? Or try to make it easy for yourself and sit down and see where it went wrong on your end? At the end of the day it's your money, but if I'm in your shoes, I will stay out of the game for now and enjoy and spend the holidays with my families so not to stress yourself at the end of the year.

Maybe next year, when you are rejuvenated and everything, then maybe you can start trading slowly again and win some and not make the same mistakes again.
3060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 25, 2021, 02:46:29 AM
So far we have seen a lot that the average boxer from the Philippines is always troublesome to his opponent because they are equipped with stamina and good hitting resistance.
I guess Russell will know this and he won't be able to relax now.
although his ability is quite good and he is one of the boxers who is quite complex and his abilities are evenly distributed in speed, strength and IQ in the ring he is also good but the problem of resting too long still still doubts the gamblers.
I think he should now be where he should practice and start honing his skills at this point
Russell is regulary training himself even though he didn't fight with anyone, I think he just make himself is ready whenever the fight declared... so he won't underestimating Magsayo. Yep he's take a break for 2 years now, previously he only one per year, he just want to fight if there's a challenger.

The best PH boxer right now is Donaire, but sadly he's lose from Inoue. There're no PH boxer which is good like Pacquiao, probably we'll see in the next decade(s).

And take note that Donaire is ageing mate, so PH boxers needs to step up their game so that they will have a continues stream of world boxing champions. I don't see anyone coming up like Pacquiao though, not even in the next decade.

Anyhow, Magsayo could be one of the next breed of PH boxers to make a name for himself, so he needs a good win against one of the best in the division. And he is an American, so defeating him will make more recognizable I would say.
