3041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: September 29, 2021, 03:39:37 PM
I really don't like Crash and its derivatives so Blast is a no from me.

I like oldschool games that actually have a history and substance to them (e.g. Blackjack, Poker, Video Poker etc.).

I also like games where you actually need to learn something and not just click a button over and over again - that seems quite sheepish to me.
Kinda disagree with Crash, I really like it tbh, it's pretty simply and yet enjoying imo. As for the old school ones though, gotta agree that those are pretty great. I do hope there could be more iterations of such games really, I know card games such as hearthstone (or any other iteration like that) exist, but it's mostly deck-based so it isn't really reliant on luck. I do hope there is something like poker or black jack where all players play around a single deck, and yet there could be a lot of methods or strategies to play with.

cafucafucafu basically likes strategy based games like poker, blackcjack more than luck based games like crash, dice etc...
Both strategy and luck based games have their own pros and cons and some people like one over the other.
I mostly like the luck based games because it requires time and effort to master the skill for strategy based games while luck based games are simply played with no effort but luck.
3042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 29, 2021, 03:30:29 PM
China declares all crypto-related transactions illegal and forbids overseas exchanges from serving its citizens.

The PBOC said all crypto-related transactions are not allowed under the law.
Activities considered illegal cover a range of operations, such as buying and selling virtual assets as a central counterparty, and providing intermediary or pricing services for crypto transactions. It also includes token issuance financing, crypto derivatives transactions, and other activities suspected of illegal sale of tokens.

"Those who carry out related illegal financial activities that constitute a crime shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law,"

China's market regulators and the Ministry of Public Security said cryptocurrency is "disrupting the economic and financial order, breeding illegal and criminal activities such as gambling, illegal fund-raising, fraud, pyramid schemes, and money laundering, and seriously endangering the safety of people's property."

How will this impact Bitcoin and other cryptoprojects?? What do you think guys?

Didn't China already banned cryptocurrencies few months ago ? What's different this time ?
This Country has repeatedly restricted the use of cryptocurrencies and it doesn't impact cryptocurrencies in the long term now.
From what I read on Cointelegraph an old announcement from China is getting viral on social media causing the sudden fall in bitcoin's price.
I think this is just temporary and in just a few days we will be able to see the bitcoin back above $45k range.

When China announced that mining would be banned, prices dipped, but when they finally put a full ban on crypto in China, I think that prices of most cryptos will drop a bit. I think since this is a pretty predictable dip, that its worth to buy into. Still dont know which one, but I think that it would be profitable to most crypto people to aquire some coins during the dip.

I personally think that although China has put an upright ban on cryptocurrencies and made crypto transactions illegal it didn't create a major impact on bitcoin's price.
We did see a minor correction but the previous FUDs created by China had more impact on bitcoin's price than the current one IMO.
We are already seeing bitcoin claiming the $42k level which is still a good comeback.
In the next few weeks we might see it cross $45k level again.
3043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners Are the Bears on: September 28, 2021, 03:23:39 PM
When BTC price drops due to sell off, People panic and say a lot of bad things. But what i think is miners need money probably to improve thier mining facilities. I never expect bitcoin miners to buy btc. All they should do is sell and probably upgrade mining facilities.
Also, with lesser miners, transaction hash rate will be low so sell off from them will always bring a positive result to the bitcoin network.

So, if miners sell, its mostly favorable because it gives people more opportunity to buy at discount prices, also gives miners more fund to upgrade thier mining facilities and helps the bitcoin network function more better.
So, Miners are the bears and they are Good for the Bitcoin Network.

Miners would only want bitcoin to be more bullish and it is less likely that they would sell and dump the market.
They know once a dump occurs more people do panic selling which creates a bigger dip.
This makes their holdings decrease in value. The reason why they are mining at first place is to make profits.
So I don't think they would create a dump by selling but instead take profits out at lesser intervals and reinvest in mining to make more bitcoins.
3044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The misconception when buying/investing in Bitcoin on: September 28, 2021, 03:16:49 PM
Yes this misconception is huge but people who are really interested in bitcoin will do research on this and find out that they are able to buy in fractions as well.
The main reasons why this is a huge misconception among newbies is because of the following reasons.

1. They see the price of 1 bitcoin and find it expensive to buy and thus don't care to research about it
2. Stocks have a minimum quantity of 1 share and hence they think the same logic applies here

But people are being more aware these days which is why we can see many new people joining the crypto community these days.
3045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Infrastructure Bill 2021 and Bitcoin on: September 27, 2021, 04:04:45 PM
The current position of cryptocurrency is in a good shape in my opinion and even the charts seems like we have a little bullish movement in the coming weeks.
If the bill is approved and cryptocurrencies are regulated then I think this would boos the price further upwards since it would mean wider acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
Many number of merchants will start accepting cryptocurrencies and this might grow the number of people using cryptocurrencies on daily basis.
So this might create a positive impact on bitcoin and other popular coins.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins destined to failure? on: September 27, 2021, 03:57:23 PM
I don't think privacy focused coins are destined to failures. The internet has all kinds of people and so do the crypto community.
There are people who still care about their privacy and so use those coins to maintain their privacy.
As per some reports the % of population using cryptocurrencies is still less than 10% in the world.
So when this number increases the number of people using privacy focused coins will also increase and so privacy coins will keep getting more established in future.
In hindsight your calculation is true and i would like to see people venturing into privacy coins as well and the problem i see is that the authorities will not be happy to see that users are using these privacy based coins. The first option i see coming from the authorities when they regulate the cryptocurrency market is that, they will force the centralized exchanges to delist the privacy coins if they want to be in their legislation.

In short even though we want to see the privacy coins to succeed we might see them regulated and forced off the exchanges.

The people who do care about their privacy and are in need of privacy focused coins will find their way to those coins no matter how strict the regulation is.
Even if Centralized exchanges delist privacy coins then there are still decentralized exchanges which the users can use to buy/sell privacy coins.
Since decentralized exchanges cannot be regulated by the governments more number of people will shift from CEX to DEX.
With the rise of number of people in crypto community the value of decentralized exchanges will grow.
3047  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Allowing Inbound Connections on: September 27, 2021, 03:46:27 PM
When I tested my connection on https://bitnodes.io/
You should now check the clients that are connected to you (incoming) and try to count how many of them are "spy nodes" because last time I did that (not running core) I was spammed with at least 10 of them that kept coming and going and sometimes changing their IP address too.

What are spy nodes ? I have never heard of them. Do they posses any risks and what is their purpose of connecting to our node?
I tried to get some info on it by googling and searching on the forum but couldn't find any.
I am able to get the peer info from the command 'getpeerinfo' but how do I identify if a node is spy node or a genuine one.
3048  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 27, 2021, 02:54:05 PM
I just saw the ClubRiches website and it looked great. The first look was really good and I personally liked how the website displayed content based on the country we live in.
But upon reading the rules for first time deposit bonus I was a little confused.

Here it says that the deposit+bonus should be wagered 30 times. If the deposit is 2000 then deposit + bonus = 4000.
So if the wagering requirement is 30 times then 4000 x 30 = 120,000
But as we can see in the image the amount is 12000. May be they forgot to add one more zero.
@TheQuin any insights on this ?

    • Are you guys advertising other casino now? Today I noticed this banner ad few many times at the bottom of the page.

Now that seems weird. For I know freebitco.in has never put on advertisements on their website and neither have I seen one ever.
Even now when I login to my freebitco.in account I did not see such an advertisement banner.
It's good that you took a screenshot of this. Only the admins can tell us if they had put the ad intentionally on the site.

3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 26, 2021, 12:26:48 PM
Even I don't understand why those people are destroying the bitcoin ATMs and making protests against bitcoin ?
What loss/damage does it cost them to use bitcoin and even if it does cost a damage then why don't they not use bitcoin at first place.
It's not like the government is prohibiting the use of USD and only accepting bitcoin. They still have both the options and people can choose what they like.
This act by those people seems like some anti-bitcoin group is funding them to do such actions against bitcoin.
If the government wants then they can penalize or punish the people involved in such acts but it's for their good that they are not doing any such things.
3051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter to pay content creators in bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 12:04:22 PM
That's really a great news because Twitter has a large number of users and hence more number of people will now get exposed to bitcoin.
Also, the tipping feature will encourage more number of people to start content creation on Twitter as this might be an income opportunity for them.

The things to note are that the tipping feature will start only on iOS devices for now and will roll out to Android in the next few weeks.
I wonder whether the tipping service will be available for website users or not.
It would have been better if Twitter could publish a page giving out more details of the tipping service.
3052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Challenge with small investment in bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 11:59:27 AM
Back when I was still a guy working his 9-5 I used to do a financing technique I saw on the internet called 50-40-10. Every salary, I would save 50% of it no matter how big or small and then invest 10% of it through my assets. The 40% I use for my daily finances and that usually got me through the month without issues. I understand that some people may not be able to do the same technique I did so I would suggest you do your own budgeting and if you really want to invest, setup a plan that would allow you to do so, because there's no way investing will adjust for you.
Best of luck. The "can't buy a whole coin" excuse is nonsense in the first place.

    1. You don't need one full bitcoin, like you don't need one full gold bar.
    2. You don't need to buy one full bitcoin in one go, you can get there slowly by dollar-cost averaging (like what you're doing right now)
Not gonna lie this was my excuse before I made my mind up and adjusted to whatever led me to this point. I wouldn't downplay the effects and burdens that poverty will incur you, but it really helps to adjust and not let your circumstances take control of your life because if you allow it to happen, it would happen. The choice is always up to you. These mindsets had allowed me to at least live alright for myself, and if you find a way for you to be able to invest or save money as well, I would guarantee you that it is worth all the trouble.

Even I do the 50-40-10 strategy but in another way. I use 50% to invest in cryptocurrencies, 40% in expenses and the rest 10% in other investments like stocks.  Grin
It's been going really great and I feel so poor holding no fiat in my bank but that feeling thrills me more.

Also, the beauty of investing in cryptocurrencies is there is no need to buy a whole coin and we can invest in fractions of a coin.
So this enables us to start with whatever we have. We can invest as low as $10 and get started.
In the long term the right approach is to dollar cost average and accumulate as much as we can for a decent average price.
    3053  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Allowing Inbound Connections on: September 26, 2021, 09:51:51 AM
So I started running a bitcoin full node on my Raspberry Pi 400 around 5 months back and was able to do all the setup required and run the node successfully.
I was feeling happy that I was actually supporting the bitcoin network and the community by running the full node.
But that wasn't the case since we have to relay the information by allowing inbound connections to our full node.
Although I knew we have to allow inbound connections to our full node I thought that was done by default when we setup the full node initially and begin downloading block data.
Today I just thought of checking it back again when I noticed that we actually have to manually setup the router to allow inbound connections.

So I started configuring my router and enabled static IP address for my raspberry pi and enabled port forwarding to port 8333.
When I tested my connection on https://bitnodes.io/ I was still getting the redbox meaning my full node was not allowing inbound connections.
I tried various stuffs and kept verifying the connection on bitnodes as well as CLI but no luck.
It was then that I found out that we have to wait around 10 minutes on bitnodes website and 30 minutes on the CLI to verify the inbound connections.
Long story short I just had to wait for a couple of minutes to verify the connection but I kept experimenting again and again.

Feeling happy now to support the network #again  Grin

P.S : One question though - What are the risks of someone finding our IP address by finding out our node ? Can he potentially exploit our device ?

3055  Local / India / Re: Has anyone watched BBC Hindi reporting on Cryptocurrency in India on: September 25, 2021, 03:47:52 PM
As usual like all other mainstream media outlets, BBC Hindi's reporting about cryptocurrency started with the cons of Bitcoin and ended with uncertainty. This is the link to the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFKX3pDQU0w&t=581s

Can anyone tell me who is that girl? She is supposed to be some kind of consultant for Banking and Finance. My point of view is that rather than having her why didn't they bring someone from the field of cryptocurrency like Nishchal Shetty.

The topic starts at 2:02 and ends at 9:28. Do watch it and share your views about this video.

Which girl are you talking about ? The only 2 Indian ladies in the video were Sarika the news anchor and Shilpa Mankar a lead in a FinTech firm.
More info about her is found below

    https://www.amsshardul.com/team/shilpa-mankar-ahluwalia/

As always the news still portrays bitcoin in a negative way by showing interviews with people who speak against bitcoin.
They showed how people at El Salvador are protesting against bitcoin but they didn't show how some people are happy after bitcoin was legalized there.
I think these news channels will never show unbiased news ever. Everything has pros and cons and it depends on us what to give more importance to.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: September 25, 2021, 02:13:48 PM
I don't think these streamers will ever disclose how much they are getting paid. But if the streamer is a responsible one, he would not deceive his followers because sooner or later, their followers will soon realize about this deception and some of them may unsubscribe their channel. People talk and the word of mouth sometimes is a very powerful tool when it comes to marketing.

Nothing's gonna happen when some people unsubscribe their channel because they keep getting new subscribers because of their videos.
Showing the high returns anyone can get lured into subscribing their channel.
The streamers won't care for their audience because they are already getting paid a good amount for doing the job.
All they care for is money. If they would care for their audience then they would not be making such videos/streams at first place.

The last few days have been overwhelming since bitcoin has been really volatile these days.
With the Evergrange news and now the China ban the volatility has increased.
Who knows what's gonna happen in the next few days. I had placed my bets on ETH price betting this time.
I have covered the range from $2750 - $3750 which I think is the right spot for Ethereum this week.

Below are my bets for the ETH price betting

Chances are pretty high that ETH will stay in that range, but never say never in crypto.
Something else: when I was browsing on my mobile to do the freeroll, I sometimes saw the advertisement of a site name clubriches. Never saw any add before on the site, so I was just wondering.

Even I think that Ethereum would be in that range so placed the bets with what I had. But the market is too volatile these days. ETH is just above $2750 right now.
A little fall in price would make ETH out of my range of bets. So I need someone to keep it pumped above $2750   Grin Grin

3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: September 24, 2021, 03:52:54 PM
Hello everyone, I know 3 cryptocurrency casinos that have advanced settings for automatic bets in the dice game, the casinos I am talking about are Stake, Primedice and Wolf, when I talk about advanced settings I mean that we can configure streaks, change of side and probability of winning, apart from the 3 casinos that I mentioned that have such game configurations in others that only have simple configurations for dice game, a casino that only has simple configurations is BC Game, I would like to know if there is any way to use advanced settings at BC Game or any other casino that does not have advanced settings.

You mean that you can edit out some values on the said script? I dont know if its plausible because i havent tested it out yet because those settings or strategies that you could see there is already
fixed and also what are the things that you do still need? Those are already common strategies on where most gamblers do make use.

In some strategies I need the loss increment to be applied on every 10 streak and in BC Game I can't set that.

Currently BC.GAME doesn't have that kind of functionality where you can edit the script in that way.
But it's easy to create a bot/script where you want to apply the increment on a streak.
You can PM me if you want me to create a bot for you. You can decide your own pay rate for this.

But for now you can use the auto script in such a way that the script stops when you lose 10 bets
After that you can apply the increment manually and play the manual bet.

if I look from last month (August), the change happen in the last days (2-3 days before closed month). from now (7 days left) the range between $42,501 - $45,000, $45,001 - $47,500 and $47,501 - $50,000 still on favorite bets. Maybe when having a piece of good news between 7 days from now, price range $50,001 - $52,500 (odds-9.45) or the opposite range between $35,001 - $40,000 (odds-9.28), but who knows, time is over for bet, I tried my luck which high odds.

Fingers crossed. I made those bets literally like days before the Evergrande bloodshed. Still I doubt it would remain between 35 - 40K now that things are stabilizing.

3060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey running his own Bitcoin node on: September 24, 2021, 03:28:29 PM
Jack Dorsey is now officially running his own Bitcoin node on the blockchain network as tweeted by him.

I could almost guarantee that Jack Dorseybeing quite a technologically gifted person(understatement), has been running his own full node for a while now. This Tweet is most likely just an endorsement of running your own node, not necessarily that he just set up his own node for the first time.

That might be true but the screenshot shows that the progress for his initial block download is still at 0.02 meaning he has just downloaded 20% of the blockchain data yet.
This does mean that he his starting the full node all over again or may be it can really be his first time.
But it's good that he is showcasing it to the people and now I guess more people will follow his lead.
Happy to be a full node myself  Smiley
