3041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coinbase are not going to add any ICO coins which ALTS will they add? on: December 16, 2017, 03:39:06 PM
This i think is how it will go on regulated big exchanges.

ICO distributed tokens are not going to get listed

I'm also noticing a rise in the redevelopment of the POW coins

Smart devs know buying these up cheap and developing them is the best way for large profits.
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 16, 2017, 03:16:55 PM
i believe is the Dev who decide that, some exchanges were using Byteball then change to Gbyte on request from the dev if i am not wrong.

On the same line of thinking... who would they ask to reduce BTC to mBTC?

Basically, nope;  The exchanges get to post what they want.

That's a long time to wait!

Why?

We had one distribution per one month before.

The great thing is that you don't have to wait.  You can buy them now.

I still have to beg to differ sadly. If tony wanted it called mbytes it would be called mbytes and instruct 3 decimal places added up front to it now.  Of course if the exchange said no then you could have a point.

Usually the exchanges will do as tony asks for a price.

Without him asking it will not be done. I don't expect just any one can instruct them to change ticker and decimal places.

I also doubt any exchange would just take it upon themselves to do this.

Tony could call it whatever he wants.  But, the exchange gets to list it however they want.

And, once named (as it), it would be very unlikely exchanges would rename it.

Example.... bcash is listed as BCH and BCC
and exchange that don't have bcash first listed bitconnect as BCC, so bcash is listed as BCH.
And, an exchange not having bitconnect listed bcash as BCC.
Now, they don't rename it even to get inline with other exchanges for a completely reasonable change to stop the mixup.

Same thing for GBYTE.  I doubt they would change to MBYTE

We had one distribution dump per one month before.
There, fixed that for you... Roll Eyes

Well said.

Your total supply is very small, but I still do not know exactly what your project is doing. Can you describe the details?

I would read the white paper.

I am disappointed with Byte-BTC exchange bot in byteball app.I sold some Bytes for btc and the bot sent me Bitcoin with 20sat/byte fee which is very low.Even the parent tx is unconfirmed.I am waiting from almost 16 hours for my tx to get confirmed. Please remove that bot from byteball app. :/

I'm forwarding this to the chief developer. In the meantime, could you please try this service: https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
I've used it several times now and it worked well. It's very popular, so you'll probably need several attempts to get in the queue.
Even if I get lucky for including my tx in viabtc accelerator then also it won't accelerate my tx because 6 parent tx are unconfirmed too and viabtc doesn't accelerate tx if parent tx is unconfirmed. In this case I have to get lucky 7 times for viabtc to accelerate my tx which seems impossible.
Nice way to rip people Gbyte by selling btc and then sending it with very low fees.  Undecided

CPFP.   Basically, you're at the end of the chain of people not wanting to pay fees.   Pay a higher fee which would be enough to cover all 6 prior transactions.  If you don't want to wait and simply bitch about it, you can do that as well; however, it's pointless.   People know about the issue, but they continue the problem and still bitching about it.

I see the same thing for ebay.   People lower the price of an item, but raise the shipping cost.  The buyer knows this UP FRONT, but still decides to get the item.  Once delivered, they immediately bitch about the costs.

Basically.... a low fee is paid on tx so it takes longer.
If a higher tx fee was paid, then the person buying would complain about that too.
NO MATTER WHAT - A person will complain.  It's life.

Sorry just re-read this.

Some parts are incorrect. We (boolberry community) simply paid bittrex to rename bbr to xbb and they did it next day. If you pay the exchange does what you want.

If we the community want it put to megabytes we could instruct bittrex to do it. There are some  costs associated though.

3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [XC] Privacy Based Smart Chain with Automated Build System on: December 16, 2017, 03:11:09 PM
we are exchangeless or there is somewhere for xc now?

how about stocks.exchange  I hear they were adding coin from nova

Cryptopia would be good but i heard they got expensive lately.

Whats the latest with xc anyway been under the radar for months and years now

There is no exchange or apparent support from devs. Was told we were going to get new wallet/genesis block multiple times but no follow thru or communication. I was willing to help fund new exchange listing but because Dan can't even take a minute to communicate with us, I refuse to donate anything. He can pay for it himself. For all of you Block supporters ( I am too), don't even tell me we're going to be on the DX. That's not good enough. Rant over...

Terrible show I agree. He should reply and keep communications open with us. I expect he is full out with blocknet right now which i get but still come on some XC update just to say something would take 2 mins.

Dan say something here for the bct users
3044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitstamp - complete bunch of idiots and greedy morons - problems ahead for them on: December 16, 2017, 02:46:13 PM
So they piss off all of their original customers that likely have millions in BTC and alts so they can take on 100, 000 new customers per day who are depositing a few k here and there.

They can't even handle their original customers and are over loaded. People are screaming about having millions of dollars locked down with them and no customer service.... just copy and paste bullshit about more KYC which is being sent to people that are fully KYC already.

Withdrawals that were usually same day are now 2 weeks and on going with no support. Imagine the losses some people are taking with the funds tied up for weeks with market moves as they are.

I don't trust exchanges that operate like this. They are going to hit big issues soon if they don't switch off new customer sign ups.

Even worse they have now offered an xmas deal of free trading to entice more.

I have been told by someone they have a 500k USD wire been waiting for over 11 days and they just got asked for extreme personal bullshit over and above KYC.

These people are demanding FULL trading history going back 4 years from bittrex, poloniex, kraken to be turned over to them before release of funds??

Totally unacceptable

Who has the direct contact for DAN MOREHEAD  and the other slovak who runs this place?

They will be losing the old crypto money to other places I'm sure.

Greed and stupidity are ruining the most reliable btc exchange that previously was the go to place for service and reliability.

Byteball eventually

Some others mentioned here are vapourware until proven otherwise
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ALTS are the NEXT BIG THING? Add your Valid suggestion here now >>>>> POLL on: December 16, 2017, 12:25:10 PM
I fucking told you it's Byteball! 50% up over night. Completely undervalued coin, 50th place on CMC while actually deserves to be in top 10 because it's the ONLY DAG based coin that can be taken seriously. IOTA is a complete scam.

Byteball's market cap now: $300,875,431

10th place in CMC: Bitcoin Gold at $5,062,258,900 (16.6x higher than Byteball)

Bitcoin Gold is a scam while Byteball has solid fundamentals. The current price of BB (466$) multiplied by 16.6 would make it worth 7700$.

edit:
Definitely Byteball. No question about it. Greatest innovation ever since Bitcoin P2P Electronic Cash System.

Agreed just need tony ch to get the distribution done with so people can see it is more centralised then I would expect top 10 is just a formality.

is there really 21 bitbay supporters

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2479595.140

you can do better Im sure.... if there is all these bitbayers on slack tell them to get their butts over there and give a vote

they havent voted on here probably for the same reason why you havent jointed Slack. They see no need to be on here as they get all there Bay info from the new forum and slack.

Thats a big error on their part then because this forum creates free and targeted advertising for bitbay. Slack is for those already aware of bitbay.

Never underestimate the power of the main board here. This is crypto central and the place most noobs arrive to consult for investment advice and ideas.

I downloaded the BitBay QT wallet on their website, and sent BAY there from my Bittrex account. It has not reach my wallet. What can I do?

is the blockchain fully synched?

and the blockchain is fully synced on the wallet.

Please go to https://forum.bitbay.market/c/support for support

this sucks. I see it on the blockchain explorer http://explorer.bitbay.market/address/BLkXZQzPX57B9CHDohix288uxiK7y6JXUo

but I don't see it in the fully synced Bitbay QT wallet

If that is the case you can attempt to run it from the command line and rescan. Also, are you running the most recent version of the QT? You are aware we had a hard fork that triggered on the 30th of November. If your QT is from before November 1st then that could be why.

Yes, I am aware of the HF, so. I downloaded the QT (BitBay version v2.0.0.0-g32a928e) wallet off their website after the HF date. The sync is up-to-date, and I see the tx on the explorer. However, it still doesn't show up in the QT wallet Sad

I am a noob. How do I get into the  the command line and rescan???

Thanks a bunch

Hope someone can answer you soon. I don't know why it is not showing in your wallet. Also not sure how you do a manual rescan

However 100% certain if you see it in the explorer it is there. Just a case of getting the wallet reading it properly.

One of the team will answer quickly I am sure.

I only hold a little amount of BitBay, but this coin is good I think. It exists for years and I would not be surprise if it pump in 2018.  Grin

I'm thinking the very same thing.

Bitbay one of my favs. REAL project.

Seems it is a rare project on here that qualifies as a REAL project doesn;t it.

Its impossible to lose it if you sent to the correct address. You just need a fully synced up wallet of the correct version to see them

did i really just get charged 75 xby for withdrawing from cryptopia???

yobit charges 0.01

Yea man. Cryptopia was notified multiple times to update their wallets, to no avail.  Not sure why they have totally ignored the updates.  Oh well . .

This is the rare time when a Yobit screw up actually benefits holders of XTRABYTES in transferring coins  Grin

Cheers for reply. Its disgraceful I took out 100 as a test to my wallet and got 25 coins.

I can see why they ignore the update they are making a nice little earner there
