What is the point of buying such coins? They don’t carry absolutely nothing beneath themselves, except to fill a pocket of developers.

Of course, that is always the main reason of creating a project. But checking this one, I don't see any significant reason why they even created this one. And seeing the faces of the team members -

No doubt you will be a bag holder in case you buy their coins. Just my 2 cents.
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STO] Pivent | A mining company focused on driving socioeconomic change on: March 12, 2019, 08:22:34 AM
Does this mean that while you do not have the equipment about which you shot the video? Or are you going to buy it with funds raised from investors?

Yes, we will be purchasing the equipment and our first mining facility using the funds raised from investors.

So you need to be aggressive with your STO phase. Does it mean also that you are dependent with the funds raised if this platform is a go or no go? You have your documents in place already that shows your sincerity for this project but in the worst case scenario, what if you didn't hit your target funds? Any plans afterwards?

The expansion of our mining operation is dependent on the funds raised. At a minimum, we will need to purchase our first facility in order to continue growing. If we do not hit our soft cap of $500k by the end of the STO, then we will refund all of the funds back to the investors. The mining operation will go on, but will grow very slowly given today's environment. This would be done by swapping aging ASIC equipment out for FPGA equipment, as they are important to our long term goals. We'll also push for our socioeconomic initiatives, just in a limited capacity.

Thank you for being transparent with your plans. I asked such question because there is no guarantee that a certain project can always achieve their soft cap even via STO, which is I believe better than ICO. At least we know that you are still pursuing your platform if in case you are not able to hit your soft cap. This is the usual bottleneck of most projects.

The recent posts are showing the progress of this project and they are really great! But upon checking the OP's trust, I got disappointed. They said they want to save people's lives, yet they did not fulfil their original arrangements with their bounty participants. Is this the right thing to do?
3045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LOTEO - Digital Era Lottery | Lottery needs a revolution! on: March 11, 2019, 09:10:26 PM
Have you done your lottery? Already played some kind of prize funds. What are the guarantees and how transparent is your lottery?

We are preparing a new blog article about scams and how to know if a lottery is transparent or not. Make sure to stay tuned to check it out!!

Bullet points:

  • Our code will be open source on github, this of course is not enough - we will have the same code on etherscan.
  • We have our specific way of RNG (random number generator), that will be subjected to external audit of RNG, without external audit most RNGs can be considered worthless!
  • External audit of our smartcontracts for tokens to make absolutely clear that we dont have any kind of back door.

also they mentioned the chance of winning from the op, how is it different from the traditional lottery aside from obviously integrating the blockchain in their system?
how it will give a higher chance of winning to the individual?
can you explain much further how the probability of winning here is different from the regular lottery machine?

This one is not very difficult, traditional lotteries can have draws without winners which add up to the jackpot, but a winner is not guaranteed and not all the funds go to the jackpot as there's no audits to the way they handle money, despite government regulations. On the other hand, LOTEO will have a winner on every single draw, chances of winning are calculated by pitting users against each other, so it will vary depending on the player pool.

You can ask any questions you may have, the team is here to answer them all! Cheers Smiley

Your answer makes sense. And that is true, traditional lottery have draws without winners and that amount is added to the jackpot. And no one knows if they are giving the right amount unfortunately. And with blockchain lottery, you have assurance that there will be a winner in every single draw. That's nice! But how much is the percentage that goes to the house?

Who is the operator?

I have been seeing your posts that you generally ask for the operator of a certain website. And I'm wondering if it is really important if you know the site's owner? In this gambling industry, you really don't need to know who is behind of a particular gaming site. Just check how they are handling the fairness of the game like in the dice game. People will talk if you are cheating the users.
3048  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETKING & DEAN NOLAN: Disastrous Reputation! Read This Reddit Post. on: March 10, 2019, 11:44:10 PM
It appears it has a vry bad reputation...

Both of them (Dean Nolan and Betking) do have a very bad reputation. Dean Nolan just sent me this PM a short while ago:

"lol you are that sad that you made a script to post the second my thread was unlocked Smiley
get a life.

You wonder why no investors are posting in your thread? Because everything you have said has been asbolute shit and lies.
You have not even bothered to listen when I answered questions and instead just post until my reply is burried.

I also know about your very poor seo effort.

I take it you are paid by stake/pd or something?"

Seriously, is this the pathetic little worm that fooled investors in to parting with their money in the scam ICO?
Am I the only one who noticed his "I take it you are paid by stake/pd or something?"? What is that guy issue with Primedice and Stake? I didnt get it

No it was picked up by several others.

One of the issues to look at was that betking was thriving back in 2016 but greedy scammer Dean Nolan closed it down in December 2016 to have the ICO. He took some time out to have a break and the ICO but by then betking had lost ground it would never make up again. All its competitors had started to get lots of players betting and they actually innovated with new games but betking relaunched after the scam ICO with the identical website it had pre-ICO. That obviously made that scammer Dean Nolan very jealous of all his competitors.

He should have stayed where betking was. And improved their gambling site. But because of greed, they failed. Or maybe they really did not fail from their end because they got money. They just cheated a lot of people. Roll Eyes

The fact that I love dice gambling, I would like to give the a try! Looks interesting anyway. Website is very simple but lets see if this will take me on the next level of dice gaming. Cheers!
Thanks a lot! We will be done with all the edits and functionalities by sometime next week and are looking forward to you joining us.

Another dice site to check out. But just wondering, why are dice sites suddenly sprouting? I've seen dice site created every day. Is this the new hype in crypto gambling?
3050  Economy / Gambling / Re: SocialBet Launches! :: Make Gambling Social Again! :: 0% House Edge on: March 10, 2019, 11:05:43 PM
The beta version of SocialBet is now open for players worldwide.

SocialBet, a transparent and fair gaming platform, is now launched to the world. Designed with special attention to players and their opinions, our top-notch gaming space is made to bring the social aspect back into gambling. That is why SocialBet is completely free, i.e. the house edge is 0%.

The bold decision to reject the house edge once and forever is speaking volumes about our commitment to greater player experience. We enter the market with a clear goal - to deliver an honest and free platform created by gaming enthusiasts for players.

We will be following player experience with great care and attention because your feedback will shape SocialBet into an ultimate user-friendly and player-facing environment. On the early stage of the launch, the beta version will run bots to diversify the actions within the platform. On this occasion, we strongly encourage all players to unveil the full potential of socialbet.io, try out every feature and button and even find bugs. This outstanding interaction will help us, the developers, to improve the game and boost the entertainment to the maximum.

Check socialbet.io

0% house edge and KYC procedure are really strange, I would abstain from playing here until there are some reviews from old users
Do not be surprised. As the beta period ends, it will be possible to gamble without paying the house edge. We are a new platform, so I don't think you may find any old users.

I think what he meant by his statement is, he will wait for the old timers here in the forum to check your site and have a feedback on their experience. They might give a good insight on what's going on. Of course, there will be no old users as you are just launching this site.
3051  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Run Own Betting site on: March 10, 2019, 09:10:47 PM
The account is newbie and offer selling $6000  worth of script. So be aware  from him guys. If anybody want to buy this scripts always use escrow or you can be scammed.

And generally I know selling scripts is not a good things and you should not sell it.

You already said it. Nobody in his right mind will buy this script unless he wants to deceive and cheat people also after setting this up. Running a betting site is not all about the script, it entails a lot more knowledge and skills in handling one.
3052  Economy / Gambling / Re: MatchBillion.com - Hey, you never know! Jackpot 448 million MBL + 2 BTC on: March 10, 2019, 09:04:11 PM
Who is the operator?

Do you operate under a Curacao license?

I don't think they will disclose the operator. And there's no need actually. But we will know if they are true to their words about the rewards after Mar 14. 2BTC is not so much but if they will give this to the winner and provide a transaction, then they might be running legit.
3053  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FORTUNEJACK dice game "provably fair" is now provably fraud! on: March 09, 2019, 11:25:37 PM
2000 rolls is not enough of a sample size.
Well, it then be good for op to increase the sample size and probably reach a definite conclusion on whether your aligation is true or not. O P can equally send the me the data so that I can help him run a regression analysis and see what will be the out come of the result.

We need more people to willingly lend their data for further evaluation of what has been presented by the OP. But for now, the reputation of FortuneJack is still the same for me. They wouldn't risk their name with such "manipulation" in their system.
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite gambling movie? on: March 09, 2019, 10:45:57 PM
I remember liking the movie of Mark Wahlberg, The Gambler. A feel good movie at the end. You can see a typical gambling addict who would risk his entire life just because of his vice. I just hope there's no turning back of his old self after resolving his debt issues. Most people have hard time of doing so.
3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All about bounty payments and its effect to the project on: March 09, 2019, 10:39:21 PM
Well, each project has determined the allocation for the bounty project. I think it has been determined by a variety of considerations and risks that are ready for developers. Moreover, the allocation for bounty is very small, the effect is not too large unless the coin or token or the project is less attractive to the market so the price cannot develop.

And the truth of the majority of these projects is that they are paying the bounty by their own tokens or coins, because they don't have money to begin with, no eth or btc to start with. So to be able to run their promotional campaigns, they will resort to using their coins in order to pursue their marketing side. They will spend nothing but gas fees if in eth tokens.
3056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: predictions of 2019 on: March 08, 2019, 11:42:52 PM
I think the cryptocurrency market is now worth less than it should. I think that by the end of 2019 the market will grow very much.

it is difficult to predict, there are many who predict in last year there will be a tremendous increase in 2019 but in reality there has not been a major improvement, only positive maybe later this year.
every prediction is not necessarily correct so don't believe because you can be disappointed if not as expected.
better to live well and stay patient.

They are just mere predictions so you don't have to make those things big deal in your life. Because if you will really hold onto it, that's when you lose your balance in life. Just give yourself a break. Read the predictions for entertainment purposes only.
3057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: March 08, 2019, 10:57:00 PM
You yourself answered your question if people forged and handed over fake documents to the quality of KYC and at the same time the project did not have any question to them. The KYC procedure itself does not solve the security problem as the projects claim, this procedure is a means of collecting information.

Or maybe the project itself is a fraud? And they don't care if they are receiving authentic or not. Bad news for all those who submitted their true identities. You won't know where it will end up to.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchains are still early! on: March 08, 2019, 10:54:52 PM
The blockchain is still in its early stages, but look at the impact, it is quite extraordinary in improving various aspects. Blockchain provides a lot of convenience by maximizing the effectiveness of time, energy, and costs so that many companies and institutions begin to study and try to implement it in the system.

Well-said. If only those projects are all legit and sincere, they will really help in building a much better ecosystem in every industry. Blockchain tech is really powerful on what it can do to human lives. We are hoping more and more authentic projects will come up and implement what is necessary.

That will be fixed in the coming days weeks.
Excess of coins will be shared among most loyal miners, across several pools.
Miners will see random incoming tx.
Consider that as free airdrop to Slicecoin loyal community.
Mining loyalty will be awarded.

What are your other plans dev aside from rewarding your loyal miners? Great that you are not running ICO. So much crap on that side. But where do you intend to use your coin other than for trading purposes?
3060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the things to be considered when choosing the appropriate exchange for on: March 07, 2019, 11:44:35 PM
I am new to trading process. I have heard from people coinbase is an exchange and wallet where I can start trading but I am still not clear how this works. Someone. Suggest me how to choose the exchange and advise me of the some exchange names.
First of all this should be in the Trading Discussion not in Bitcoin Discussions. Choosing the right exchange site for you depends on what coin or token you plan to buy because even if you are using the #1 exchange site as per Coinmarketcap, it will be useless if the coin or token you plan to buy is not listed.

This is very correct. First, he needs to know what coins he wants to trade. But then again, there are a lot of threads in the trading discussion what he's looking for. So better go ahead in that section and read for himself. No need to create a new one.
