^^^ No man, believing they landed cardboard box on the Moon is fucking pathetic.

You're the one who believes they used a cardboard box, remember? But I'm glad we could both agree that its a pathetic belief.

Kill yourself you fucking retard!

What kind of a rebuttal is that? Even posting an easily-debunked YouTube video is a better counterargument. If I believed the earth was flat I guess I would be just as flabbergasted about how the world works as you are. Being confused all the time must be tiring.

Would they not of died in the  Van Allen Radiation, Buzz the guy that said he did not go to the moon and money is a good thing.
Buzz did not say that. We've already been through that.

No, the Van Allen belt would not/did not kill them. But at least this is a decent question.

Here is the summary from wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Allen_radiation_belt#Implications_for_space_travel

The Apollo missions marked the first event where humans traveled through the Van Allen belts, which was one of several radiation hazards known by mission planners.[32] The astronauts had low exposure in the Van Allen belts due to the short period of time spent flying through them. Apollo flight trajectories bypassed the inner belts completely, passing through the thinner areas of the outer belts.[25][33]
Astronauts' overall exposure was actually dominated by solar particles once outside Earth's magnetic field. The total radiation received by the astronauts varied from mission to mission but was measured to be between 0.16 and 1.14 rads (1.6 and 11.4 mGy), much less than the standard of 5 rem (50 mSv) per year set by the United States Atomic Energy Commission for people who work with radioactivity.[32]

However, it's worth noting that a random solar flare could have killed them. That's a chance they were fully aware of and took.

Did The Fist Donkey Kong Predict The Future And Global Warming?

Here we see in the fist level Mario is running away from oil at the start. Could this mean we should stop using fossil fuels?
You see he grabs a hammer and begins to smack the oil barrels coming down and gains points by dodging them?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp2aMs38ERY

I think it is a message, fossil fuel = death, pumping fossil fuel into air = pumping death into air.....

No, because in Grand Theft Auto, we've got all kinds of ultra cool cars we can jack and ride around in, doing all kind of crazy shit.

An they run on oil.

I think it is a message, fossil fuel = fun, pumping fossil fuel into air = pumping fun into those internet tubes.

The restaurant owner who asked for 1-star Yelp reviews

How one small business owner flipped the online review ecosystem on its head.

In 2014, chef Davide Cerretini advertised a special that would forever change his fate: Anyone who left his restaurant a 1-star review on Yelp would get 25% off a pizza.

See, his Bay Area-based Italian joint, Botto Bistro, was at a crossroads. Like many small businesses, it was enslaved to the whims of online reviewers, whose public dispatches could make or break its reputation.

He’d had enough: It was time to pry the stars from the “cold, grubby hands of Yelpers” and take control of his own destiny.

But the move would set Cerretini at the center of a long-standing battle between Yelp and disgruntled business owners — a battle including cries of “extortion,” review manipulation, and predatory advertising tactics.

Whether we land on the moon or not, it's one of those things where if we did, you're still going to have a bunch of people convinced that we didn't. Just because that's their personality.

I disagree....

I agree that there will be people that will deny a particular fact for no reason even if the evidences are 100% clear... But comparing that with the moon landing isn't fair...

Here we aren't saying that it was fake, we are just saying how it is so hard to believe on moon landing. The reasoning isn't just to look cool or something, it justs doesn't convince us when we think about the primitive technologies which were used in the 60s, it makes it hard to swallow the precise accomplishment of the moon landing without much fuss or international chaos till the completion xD

There's really nothing primitive about the 1960s rockets used in the Apollo program.
These were designs largely of Werner Von Braun, and the outgrowth of his designs used by the Germans during the second world war.

The Apollo flight computer was quite capable of handling the major segments of the flight to and from the moon, including landing on the moon, take off and re entry once near Earth.

One rather interesting thing was that all navigational instructions and course corrections/deviations was via voice channel, exactly as air traffic control operated, and still operates today.

It's pure entertainment !

Trump is the best thing ever happened to the world.

I disagree with him on almost everything, but I love that he's president.
Whenever we looked at politicians, we saw them as boring, lecturing, silent, with authority.

With trump, it's such a good show!

He may lie, but he really speaks what he means and thinks. And I like him for that xD

And he never fails to win my heart with this...
I merit this.

1) you don`t know why the moon rock was not a moon rock when they tested it (because it was not a moon rock)
2) you are right, she asked why did we not go back to the moon in such a long time, Buzz responds, that is not a 8 year olds question, well because we did not go and that is the way it happened.
3) you said they used up all the tech ( Roll Eyes )
4) link the transcripts saying retro reflector and highlight that word for me (k thanks)

5,6,7,8 there is video proof of it brother. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3FJ2dhr-aA&feature=youtu.be

It was all a bluff, stop defending these people you pay them your tax dollars and they fuck you in the ass by taxing you for walt disney photoshopped bullshit images.

1) I don't care why some dead guy's estate donated a wrong rock to NASA 19 years later. Most likely because someone stole the (highly valuable) actual rock.

2) You've been corrected, live with it.

3) Yes, they used up the equipment in the production runs. For space flight projects. Wouldn't have done much good sitting around on the ground right?

4) Now you're really not thinking.

123:59:39 on the flight clock the LRRR were laid down

The laser ranging retro-reflector was deployed during the first extravehicular activity approximately 43 meters (140 feet) west-southwest of the Apollo lunar surface experiment package central station. Leveling and alignment were accomplished with no difficulty. The McDonald Observatory team initially acquired a return signal from the Apollo 15 instrument August 3, 1971, when atmospheric conditions first permitted ranging.

5,6,7,8) Those have been clearly debunked, don't double down on stupid.

But if you really want to, go for it!

I wonder why conspiracy theorists love these kind of titles: WikiLeaks ( JULIAN ASSANGE ) Releases MOON LANDING Cut Scenes Filmed In Nevada Desert (A MUST WATCH)

All the videos about flat earth and all that shit always have the same titles, it's like their brains are attracted by them, oh shit it says must watch and 100% true, let me watch that and believe it!!!

I've never even seen a logically consistent "didn't go moon" theory.

Like, okay. But did Apollo 8 go AROUND THE MOON? Did Grissom and the others die? Are there unmanned landers on the Moon? Where did our moon rocks come from if we didn't go there?

The rock issue is for me the big one, because one look at those rocks under a scope and if you have a slight understanding of geology, you know they didn't come from Earth. no way no how.

3050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Youtube starts campaign of mass censorship and demonetization on: June 09, 2019, 01:03:11 PM
I'm not convinced "demonetization" is a problem.

The vacuum that's created when Youtube cuts off peoples' income stream creates a huge business opportunity for other startups.

The censorship will likely backfire.

This is going to head to a Supreme Court decision on what these companies are and what they can do. Are they private companies, that can do anything they want?

I don't think it's going to turn out that way, any more than a black man can be kicked out of a store because it's a "private business."

You might have a point if it was not totally arbitrary how they enforce it. They are demonetizing totally innocuous videos and channels, meanwhile videos with actual calls to violence are still A-OK. This is opening them up to massive lawsuits among other things.

Arbitrary always follows censor.

Obviously the world is not better off if a group of people in San Francisco and San Jose determine what they can see on Youtube.

I wonder if a user / group consensus on such decisions is possible. It works with Wikipedia.

this picture is pure gold.
No, your cartoons are not arguments.
Do you actually have any?

Yah I brought up a bunch but you failed to counter discuss any of them. Nice movie script you linked.

1) why was the moon rock fake they gave the Netherlands?
2) why did buzz say he did not go to the moon?
3) why did they destroy the tech to go to the moon?
4) why in the transcripts did you link does it say nothing about a retro reflector?
5) why is there footage of them filming it all on a movie set?
6) why is there bubbles in some of the footage?
7) why is there strings?
Cool why is there multiple shadows on some of the footage?

All of the original photography is available on the NASA archives. Do you know how to find it, or are you the moronic slave of your Youtube Overlords?

There's a story behind the moon rock fake, and you can easily look it up. But WTF? Let's do it for you, how is that?

The rock was given as a private gift to former prime minister Willem Drees Jr in 1969 by the U.S. ambassador to The Netherlands, J. William Middendorf II, during a visit by the Apollo 11 astronauts, Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin, soon after the first moon landing. Drees had been out of office for 11 years, but was considered an elder statesman.

When Drees died in 1988, the rock was donated to the Rijksmuseum.

So 19 years after Astronaut gives the rock to X, X dies and rock goes to Museum. Who knows what happened in that time frame to the real rock? (And who cares?)

https://phys.org/news/2009-09-moon-fake.html

You've believed a misquote from Buzz.

The child didn’t ask Buzz Aldrin if he ever went to the moon. Rather, she posted the question “Why has nobody been to the moon in such a long time?” to the astronaut. When Aldrin said in reply that “we didn’t go there” and “that’s the way it happened,” he was referring to the fact that the U.S. has sent no missions back to the moon since the final Apollo spaceflight took place in December 1972, not asserting that he had never been to the moon in the first place.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/buzz-aldrin-moon-admission/

The didn't DESTROY the tech, they used it all up. Like the remaining Saturn rockets were used for the Spacelab missions.

Transcripts say nothing about a retro reflector? Really? You will find them talking about placing the experiment package and deploying it. But you'd have to know the name of the package to understand that, right?

5,6,7 and 8 are garbage.

So called "moon landing" was staged in a hollywood studio. It is a complete fraud. So if you believe it was "real" then you have been bamboozled.

What part?

Apollo launches through 8? 9? 10? 11?

Did the Saturn V exist?

Did the LEM exist?

What are the artifacts on the Moon at the exact locations of the Apollo landings?

Is that what Christians look like where you come from? Is that what you think Christians look like? Christians are shirtless redneck white blue eyed blond southern rebels with pump shotguns while the muslim is in white robes with a proper weapon?
For not being from where southern rebels exist what do you know about such a person and why would you conflate that with Christians in general?
It looks to me like you want to disparage the image of a Christian.. No?

I am a Christian by believe but free-spirited by ideology I reside in a place predominantly occupied by Muslims but I have survived here by not enforcing my religious thoughts on others and share understanding.

Are you admitting that you would not survive among muslims as a Christian if you acted like the muslims living among us Christians do?

First of all, never misunderestimate a pump shotgun in the hands of a trained user.

Second, I do get the impression the message here is "Westerners, shut up. Muslims, be as offensive as you want."

Isnt that astronomy gives us proof that theres some have been in the moon.
the astronomy landed in the moon.although theres no gravity in the moon so there are floating under the moon.
So amazing hopefuĺly someday they show as a more videos and proof that you can land and living for a while in the moon.

The entire Moon has been imaged and digitized at < 1/2 meter per pixel.

The database includes all the Apollo landing sites, and they show up quite clearly.

This was done starting in 2009 with the polar orbiting LIDAR.

This is one of the things that people miss, that selling weapons to Saudia Arabia isn't about supporting the activities they're engaging in -- it's about keeping a diplomatic partnership open with a nation that is friendly to the USA. They're a major force that is able to help the US in their diplomatic efforts.

I'm not saying that I support this sort of relationship, though it is important to notice that the US has these relationships.

if you DON'T LIKE the Saudi connection, better think about the alternatives.

I'm not sure why you are pushing these lies and propaganda items. There were x number of layers in Obama's BC because that's the structure of the PDF file, nothing to do with the government.

It's interesting how truly dumb this discussion is. There was nothing like photoshop in the days of Apollo.

As for the Earthrise photos, you and whatever paid shill did that picture are truly idiots.

The Earth is in the same position in the Lunar sky, when viewed from the surface. This is because the Moon orbits the Earth with the same side facing the Earth always.

It does not "rise" like the Moon does on Earth. When photos are taken from a ship orbiting the Moon, then of course the Earth will at one point rise above the horizon.
