3061  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bit con payment on: September 11, 2020, 11:22:58 PM
Btcpay is way overprice to implement to your small website but its the most recommended on the list mentioned above.
I tend to agree with this statement that BTCpay will most be recommended the above suggestions. If you will plan to follow this suggestion (which is good for me) just heads up to this link of article that might help you upon creating an account, How to Create an Online Store & Accept Bitcoin – Step By Step Guide, just follow the tutorial for the best result IMO.

If you plan on selling low value items it would be a good idea to go with a payment processor that accepts Lightning Network payments such as OpenNode, Coingate, or CoinPayments.
Good idea, it will also help the congestion of the blockchain especially if have bulk transaction of micro payment which is need to have low fees.
Here is the full list of that, The Top 5 Lightning Network Payment Processors.
3062  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: September 11, 2020, 10:35:57 AM
Hello @zazad! I'm glad that I'm a part of this interview.
Thank you and here's my story.

My answer base on my experience.
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
Remembering back then that was in the year 2017 when I was studying in college while working as a crew of a fast-food chain (Jollibee). (Bitcoin at that time was in a bullish trend and very well known in my country), and I was looking for an extra source of income and a good opportunity on the internet to find something where can I earn extra money, until one day, my manager told me and introduced me to this forum(thanks to him). He briefly explained to me how to become a bounty hunter and then he wants me to learn how blockchain technology works and the usage of Bitcoin as well.
To cut my long story short, this was caught my interest in exploring my self on the forum and in crypto, until I've joined airdrop and collecting faucet to sustain my studying because I'm only the one who supported my self until I finished my study in college. Until now I'm still here even though I've my own work because this forum and cryptocurrencies have totally changed my life especially when it comes to financial problems.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
That was in the last quarter of the year 2018 when Bitcoin was dumped too much. I'm planning to hold for a longer time but that wasn't even happening. Cheesy

3. How did you get on the forum?
The same story on number 1.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
  • Unregulated
  • Fear to be scam
  • Because of scam incidents that recently happened
These are probably the major reason why a slow down in the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. People afraid to be scam and others are lack technical knowledge when it comes to crypto stuff.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
If there are more gambling projects who advertised here in the forum it means that it has a good effect on crypto adoption, more gambling users it means more crypto holders. I don't think there is the harm to the development of the forum if everyone worried about the addiction that causes by gambling we have a Gambling discussion that everyone will surely educate and give an idea the possible consequences on gambling effect.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
Personally, this is the length of year in my experience here in the forum. IMO, probably it gives maturity but it doesn't mean it will give a guarantee of no loss upon your investments. As a new investor of crypto, they should have special education to learn even basic information on how to crypto works on how to study the volatility of crypto.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
Since the merit system has been applied, spam and farming accounts were totally wiped out. It seems like filtering the forum and toxic members won't survive if they don't put some effort into making a post. Though there are some allegations of merit abuse/buying, basically they won't survive due to the fact that their merit won't generate.
Regarding the signature campaign, as we noticed that some of the managers now asking number of merits as a part of requirements in applying signature campaign. I think merit system and the signature campaign will probably give courage to the users to have truly effort in making a post, good poster is a highly chance of being accepted if there is a signature campaign. They are no harm in the forum, besides they give a good result to our beloved forum.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
[GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) created by @LoyceV. I also bookmarked this for reference and now it's easy for me to find this topic.
Yeah, there are a lot of useful users in the forum but for me, I think the most is @LoyceV among others, followed by DmdrDmdr, Vod, and others(many to mention, most of them are good in technical discussions).

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
This forum is almost perfect and I don't think if there is something to implement. But there is one that I'm thinking if it is possible to change.

MOD(s) or admin(s) are capable to remove the negative feedback from banned users especially of this is a troll or giving negative feedback for no reason.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Nope, I usually want to earn Bitcoin. I don't want to risk my money, sometimes I gamble but only small amount that I can afford.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
I can't remember my big profit but in a big loss, I freshly remember.
Last year, I was a fan to gamble until such day I decided to have deposit a big amount that comes from my earning on the signature campaign. I won't name the site, I lost around $300 on that day by simple accidentally pressed the max bet button, and boom! it's a loss, my entire balance was wiped out.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
I don't have much idea on this, but it seems another hype projects that someday it will be faded like what happened to the ICO's projects.
But I'm following of this thread that made by @Ratimov, [BIG LIST] DeFi Projects & Tokens

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
Yes, every one of us are concerned about our privacy. So, anonymity a vital necessity to us and protection as well to our selves.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
I haven't. But I want to read Andreas M. Antonopoulos's Bitcoin book. But it's too expensive for me.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
When it comes to investments token, I don't want to give advise, I want to do their own research upon picking the right and have potential one. I usually do advise on the Bitcoin investment not on the token.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
I'm very optimistic when it comes to the prediction of Bitcoin price, it might be $20k on last quarter of this year. TA? just my assumption. Cheesy

15. P.S. (Optional)
Let's always encourage newbies by giving good advice, correction is needed but not the way you insulted and be arrogant. High-rank members should guide newbies and give knowledge to them.

Sorry for my English.
Thank you @zazad.

3063  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Another exchange lost about $5 million from its Hot-Wallet. on: September 08, 2020, 11:42:53 PM
How sad, another weak exchange has been compromised. I do hope they had SAFU just like Binance.

For sure the hacked cryptos are let the scammers sleep on the wallets that under their control just like what happened on other hacking incidents. It takes years before they will move into another wallet little by little until it is untraceable and ready to mix. If this was already reported from any centralized exchange we might watch out those DEXs, probably they will exchange there.

I was also thinking that this is an inside job as well or other perception of possible a strategy of exit scam, who knows but I hope that isn't.
3064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware Defi airdrop message shared on telegram on: September 08, 2020, 11:26:58 PM
Thank you for posting and sharing this but this isn't new on telegram even though this is different style.

That's why I didn't entertain who's sending a private message on Telegram, for the clarification of the announcement you can go and check to the official group if there is an airdrop or giveaways but I don't usually join this kind of event.

You can report this to the telegram, there are two ways of reporting on telegram. First, click the 3 dots above and find the report button. Second is go to the official telegram website and find this Telegram Support, enumerate and describe your problem or issue. After several days, you will see the user you have reported marked a "SCAM" next to its username.
3065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : what features you want in it on: September 08, 2020, 11:10:04 PM
If there is a DEX to be developed from scratch then what features will you want in it,  which is not in other exchanges.
There's a lot of features that don't have on DEX that trader's want. First, is the limited type of orders or we can say low liquidity and volume and most commonly they dont have margin trading.

Next is the speed limit to execute orders, CEX might have a faster speed to fill an order than DEX, so probably this is the mean problem of DEX why trader prefers to use CEX rather than DEX. But for me, there are several factors that we can consider as a good benefit upon using DEX, and that is when it comes masking your privacy.
3066  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Using wallet on iPhone on: September 08, 2020, 10:47:38 PM
What if I buy Bitcoing with Coinbase and keep them in my Coinbase account. Is that also a wallet? Are my Bitoin fractions safe with Coinbase? I was browsing this tutorial and it's unclear for me if Coinbase provides me a wallet or I have to use an external Bitcoin wallet if I use them? Would appreciate your help.
So far as of now, I consider using the Coinbase wallet is safe if you will store for a short period of time, they had a good reputation and I think keeping for a while there isn't a problem. Probably just a couple of the days, but beyond on that, I will not consider as a safe.

For long term purposes, a hardware wallet is the best option. The suggestion above was right, those are free wallet if you don't like to purchase a hardware wallet. I have found this list while searching on google, this might help you upon looking at the best IOS Bitcoin wallet app. Best Bitcoin Wallets for iOS (iPhone, iPad).

Personally, I suggest the Coinomi app, it is easy to use, even though this isn't a full open-source Bitcoin wallet app but at least you have full control over your key.
3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 08, 2020, 03:57:41 PM
I want to ask if we will make official method for paying our employees in Bitcoin directly to their Bitcoin wallet.
Is this method is not foul on the government? Or it is legal?
Especially on the department of government that is about the labor or employment.
I have doubt that this isn't legal in any country since Bitcoin is unregulated yet. Because most states have laws that regulate when you have to make certain types of payment. Upon choosing as a payment method to your employees, don't violate the laws. As a Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) law, this is a mandatory law for labor and employment to pay taxes. Unless, if your company will pay taxes too but I don't think if they will accept Bitcoin.

The Labor Department will always ask documents, like detail informations, the date and the amount, and pay period for all employees. And also the record gross wages, deductions, and net pay. All of these are needed, for now, more appropriate if you will pay through cash, check, pay cards, direct deposit or even cash through digital mobile wallet. They are regulated currency that supported by bank, I don't think about cryptocurrency.
3068  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 20% off on Ledger Wallets on: September 08, 2020, 03:20:45 PM
@HCP
Thank you for the clarification and explanation, that's enlightened me about the promo coupon codes and the discounts.

@Pmalek
I never think about the covid-19 and I think you were right, there might a delay on the shipping but that's okay at least my purchase is safe and I know I'm the right reseller. I heard this before when you are buying a hardware wallet be careful with the possible tampered wallet. Although I read this, Check if device is genuine. I still have doubt upon purchasing.

Thank you for sharing idea, I will grab this opportunity to have my own hardware wallet.
3069  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Does any bitcoin ad network accept adult ads? on: September 08, 2020, 12:11:50 PM
Be careful in choosing an ad network that accepts cryptocurrencies as a payment, usually most of them are scam and don't have actual getting any real traffic. Upon having quickly researched this what I have found, a List of Ad Networks That Accept Cryptocurrency Payments, it might a helpful content for your DYOR.

Good suggestion tho, AFAIK, they are top of the list and also consider this one, Trafficjunky for the low cost among them all. I heard that exoclick have a horrible payment cost, but try to explore OP.
3070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities? on: September 07, 2020, 11:49:55 PM
For noobs? You're calling noobs who use this term HODLing? Cap wearers on WO thread are almost using this term, I don't think they are noobs. In fact, they are good at predicting and showing technical analysis.

Each Bitcoin holders or HODLers have a different perspective of having insight into taking a profit. If you are a panic seller during crash, you're not a real crypto enthusiast. Too much hold will depend on you, of course, you will also monitor the market while holding your Bitcoin and wait for the most anticipated event when bullish trend comes. You probably dumb if you sell under the price you have bought Bitcoin.

Having a wise decision is a part of this game since Bitcoin is unpredictable the price, you should know the right timing of selling your crypto asset, nor you might have a loss.
3071  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 20% off on Ledger Wallets on: September 07, 2020, 11:17:01 PM
Great announcement and thank you for posting this.

I really wanted to buy a hardware wallet since then but I'm waiting for an opportunity like this.

I have a couple of questions, it is okay to purchase on the third party to the known online merchant like Lazada? If on the official site of the hardware wallet how many days it will arrive?

I saw this online upon searching for a discount, https://couponpaste.com/stores/ledger-wallet-coupon-code/. It's a 50% off coupon code, it says 5 coupons available, can someone check legitimacy? TIA.

3072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start mining of bitcoin? on: September 07, 2020, 03:43:26 PM
It's quite broken English, it should be. "How can be mine" or earn it free. That's not what OP meant the not mining and I don't think if OP talking about mining.

Since Bitcoin has a huge value, earning on it isn't easy. Because Bitcoin is just like money on the internet and the fact is don't have free money on the internet unless in exchange of heavy or hard tasks you will have it as a reward. Even collecting faucet and airdrop, they are worthless and it's kinda waste of your time.

Find a decent job and when you have a monthly salary, sphere for Bitcoin investment and do trading if you know how to manage this stuff. It's literary no free nowadays.
3073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder Everyone: If You Don't Have The Keys, Then It's Not Your Crypto on: September 07, 2020, 02:34:34 PM
This is served as a lesson to everyone, not to leave their valuable crypto assets on exchange for a longer period of time. If you don't do trade, then pull out your asset, isn't safe if you will leave on exchange. Even in any local custodial wallets, they aren't also safe for storing your Bitcoin, and yes, not your key, not your Bitcoin.

important to know whether the exchange is:
- reliable,
- trusted, and
- secure or not.
This, these are very important characteristics of the exchange, before you will pick, make it sure these 3 should be there.

Op didn't disclose the name of the local exchange, it might be good if you will tell us and to serve us as a warning of not getting use.
3074  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web wallet that support alt coins must include bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold. on: September 07, 2020, 01:32:12 PM
You can check Magnum wallet. I believe it has all the features you're looking for, just make sure to write the seed and store it somewhere safe.
I tend to agree with this statement, I have been through with blockchain.com the web wallet but since I heard this another oper source web wallet the magnum wallet that supported different altcoins, I preferred to use this web wallet. Even though I considered them as a safe wallet but I won't consider them in storing your crypto in a long period of time, a cold wallet much better. You can head up to their ANN thread, it's quite didn't active in this community.

Since OP planning to stored Bitcoin for the long term, I suggest using a hardware wallet, Trezor or Ledger Nano S are much better. Spending a small amount for the security of your valuable asset is worth it and make it sure it is safe at the end of the day.
3075  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I call this the "right way of mixing"? on: September 07, 2020, 01:10:42 PM
I would say that not only is using a gambling site in this way not making your privacy any better, but in many cases it is actively making it worse.
That's exactly correct perspective insight. Because if you will use a custodial wallet it might your Bitcoin will freeze or hold or much worst if your account will be blocked by them. This is a very common case in my country because most of us as crypto holders have a custodial Bitcoin wallet called (Coins.ph), other's didn't know that if you will depositing Bitcoin from a gambling company to this wallet the result might be blocked your account.

Never use gambling sites, exchange sites of mixing your Bitcoin if the purpose is your privacy. It is irrelevant to the Bitcoin mixer services that you can completely hide and protect your privacy. Fueling a small amount of fee just to cover your identity and use legitimate mixers will have a good result and the right way of mixing.
3076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Betting on bitcoin against Central Bank Digital Currencies on: September 07, 2020, 09:39:13 AM
Nothing's to bet on and they aren't comparable because they had different cons and pros that we should be considered on our side, but then, they are competing with wich better.

The concept of the CBDC's using digital currency probably is to compete for the cryptocurrencies but for us, they are both useful to us. But in this competition, Bitcoin has a better advantage than national digital fiat currency. The CBDC's currency is regulated by the bank, this meant established as money by government regulation, monetary authority. On the other hand, cryptocurrency is decentralized and it is governed by the majority of the community, powered by blockchain technology.

So, I think people choose with a better advantages and obviously Bitcoin has now a large adoption. Vast of majority when we talked about transaction online people concerned are privacy which is Bitcoin can able to do that.
3077  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: September 05, 2020, 11:55:04 PM
We're now living in the era that most have a technology, therefore, money isn't a king at all. We have many digital valuable assets that might replace the money. I don't think OP has come up with this pointless idea. There are too many ways to find that can alternate to money, not just only money that people need.

Many things can't buy money, even your happiness can't buy with money. You become obsessed with making money you didn't realize that you don't have enough time for your family and your children if you have. Not all things above on earth that you can buy money. Cheesy
3078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There is no ceiling or floor on: September 05, 2020, 11:38:26 PM
I like the term you've used, the ceiling and the floor, just like heaven and earth and yeah, there's no such thing.

But IMO, that's a part of speculation and we're both having different perceptions on it. Every prediction there's in negative and positive sides which are others in neutral prediction. As a crypto enthusiast, we believed that there's a new ATH and we are very optimistic when it comes to crypto prediction. The most anticipated events are those moments of a bullish trend.

If I saw a post like this and I feel that irrelevant to the realistic, much better if you will hit the report button to the moderator. This isn't good in the eyes of crypto enthusiasts.
3079  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i make more money on: September 05, 2020, 03:37:23 PM
Everyone is now on the internet are seeking money especially those countries that the lockdown still going on due to the pandemic.

So, you have a good set up of PC and a firm of employees. But my question is, what jobs/skills you and your team have. Just like good in writing skills that can able to write about Bitcoin and techno related stuff article. You can write an article that pays Bitcoin or cash as you wish as payment but remember this, to have any significant money on the internet, it is still in exchange for very hard work and a rather tedious/hard task.

Here is the site you can earn if you are good in writing and your staff.
Good luck with your journey.
3080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Miners' EXIT movements on: September 05, 2020, 03:15:34 PM
That isn't an exit of miners, they are giving us an opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin during this dump.

I can't imagine that miners are also a manipulator of the price of Bitcoin in the market. By moving this large transaction in the market it seems there is a good purpose. It might be investment again or planning to build other facilities of mining for the equipment.

But as you can see, they aren't only the possible factor of dumping the price. We have seen there is another angle of reason, the stablecoins like USDT are reserve indicates the potential buying pressure that makes price drastically down by the correction. Then, I don't think so this is an exit movement of Bitcoin miners.
