Just to add here, I'm mostly using my mobile to read and post in the forum. Sometimes when you write something autocorrect can mess up the text quite a lot so my mistakes are not always because of ignorance but often typos.
After I make a post, I try to go through it again and correct any spotted mistakes, but I don't do it so often as I want.
It happens sometimes to correct errors of posts I've made months ago.
3064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Legendary Member Earning Too Much ? on: February 12, 2019, 02:37:48 PM
It depends on how much you look at it, there are so many activities in this forum apart from doing signature bounties
We have;
1. Escrow services
2. Loan services
3. Bounty management
4. Signature and graphics designing

Any member can do the 4 services I have listed below so long as you build a good reputation in the forum, and they are really high earning too. Most people tend to trust legendaries because they have been in the forum for a long time but hey, you can also start your journey.  Somebody has got to start from somewhere.

For the first two you need a bit of experience and reputation do those services.
I'm pretty sure that no one will use a newbie Escrow without prior positive feedback or experience.

On the other hand, there are many low-quality legendary spammers, merit came quite late but they also get caught slowly one after other.

3066  Other / Meta / Re: Update/remove the voting algorithm [Poll Options] on: February 12, 2019, 12:05:57 PM
It's probably on theymos' 1km-long-to-do list somewhere on the bottom and it will be updated around the time when the last bitcoin is mined.. approximately the same time when the Epochtalk will finally be introduced.

BTW I requested an option to be able remove the poll the fist few minutes after the thread is created because now if you make a mistake to create a poll, you cannot remove it anymore, you have to trash the thread and make a new one.
3067  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 12, 2019, 12:01:52 PM
Interesting, I've experience it yesterday for the first time now on my Android mobile phone.
I though that too many apps were open at the same time and I have not enough free memory, but looks like it's not the case.
Thanks for bringing this up.
3068  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: February 12, 2019, 09:49:23 AM
I don't want to bitch about it but this report marked as bad was actually correct.
The service was posted in the Bitcoin Discussion section, and I reported it. I guess someone else reported it before me and it the thread was moved, but my report was marked as bad.

I guess he was first to report it.
You posted it in the wrong section. This is Bitcoin Discussion board which is self explaining. I think you need to move your topic to the Marketplace (Altcoins) section or Announcements (Altcoins). I am not just too sure. I hope this information helps

Cheers :-)
3069  Economy / Reputation / Re: Remove marlboroza (me, me) from DT2 on: February 12, 2019, 07:53:34 AM
Sorry man, but you cannot enforce me to untrust you, I've concluded that I trust your judgments and I will not remove you from my trust list until I see untrustworthy behavior from your side. Until then you stick on my list.
If you need any help with anything let me know.

Many people trust you and this is a big decision, I think we deserve to know the reason why you want to be removed, even tho this should be your personal decision, many people and ratings are involved.

3071  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos why should we use external script for find important data like ban/merit on: February 11, 2019, 07:39:48 PM
~ I am surprised by some of the names that got banned though, several of them were good posters.

However administrators do not pay much attention to this problem for some reason.

It's most likely that theymos don't want to change how the things are. It is possible to get unbanned but it's unlikely to happen, you need to have strong evidence and good reputation.

One nice quote discussing the iamnotback ban, but also a bit of theymos' view of the forum and regulations.
I don't want to edit the quote so here is the full comment.
He has several accounts all banned for ban evasion. It seems that the underlying offense which caused him to initially get into trouble (and often the thing which causes his alts to get noticed) is excessive multi-posting. But when he was warned and/or temporarily banned for this minor thing, he kept evading his bans. This forum cannot operate unless its few rules are followed, so ignoring the warnings and temporary bans that you receive and continuing to do the same stuff is unacceptable. People who do so are not welcome here.

His bans will not automatically expire, and any future alts we see from him will be permabanned. I may manually reconsider his ban if he promises to actually try not to break forum rules. The rules are not meant to silence anyone, but to keep the forum usable and fair. When someone multi-posts excessively, it monopolizes a thread in a way which harms everyone else's ability to communicate. Based on his posts in this thread, I think that he will just continue to break rules if unbanned, so I will not unban him at this time.

bitcointalk.org is not a normal for-profit company. Even if banning iamnotback somehow stopped all future ad revenue, he would still be banned, since his rule-breaking is disrupting the forum's mission of hosting free discussion of Bitcoin and related topics. (As explained above, "free discussion" is not "unmoderated discussion".) Similarly, I would welcome effective competition from decentralized forums, and I would be thrilled to be able to shut down bitcointalk.org in favor of a better-in-all-ways decentralized alternative. But although decentralized forums have existed for a long time (eg. Freenet's FMS is almost exactly what iamnotback keeps describing, and has existed since before Bitcoin), they have unfortunately not been widely used since the era of the semi-decentralized Usenet system, mainly due to vastly inferior usability.
3072  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos why should we use external script for find important data like ban/merit on: February 11, 2019, 05:36:26 PM
The fact that they are banned doesn't make them automatically bad posters. I see LoyceV in this list and I'm sure he would not waste merit on meaningless comments/posts.
It is unfortunate that those merit are lost but we have enough merit generated per month so I don't see why we have to worry about it.
3073  Economy / Reputation / Re: So.... on which board did you earn most of your Merit? on: February 11, 2019, 12:33:08 PM
That's interesting statistics.
Let me see what will come up. I can guess what will be number one, but let's see the other ones.

Shall the backstabbers have their celebration day next month? 15 March Cheesy

Maybe instead of hats create a new trend with salad:

3075  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos where is your merit sources? on: February 11, 2019, 12:02:09 PM
Imagine that you are local board merit source, and your board does not have really high activity, you don't need more than 10-20 per month.
It is really possible to have sources with 10-20 source merit per month.
No need to have 100s if you cannot spend it.

In addition some people (MS) are not so active and cannot empty their monthly merit quota.
There are more active users receiving and sending merit that some of the merit sources, so don't be surprise if you cannot spot them all with a naked eye Wink

This is very interesting.  I have my Trezor wallet's master public key in a watch-only Electrum wallet, and I just tried to very the message with that, but it also failed.

I imagine the bitcoin development team has bigger fish to fry, but it would be nice to have signatures and verification standardized.

As I wrote in the OP, I think you need to manually tweak Electrum (see the link I provided), and creating a p2sh segwit wallet to be able to verify messages from p2sh addresses.

Basically, the only way to verify p2sh addy messages is Trezor.

I don't know about his email, but he's been active in Twitter, so why not contact him there.

Doesn't look that active to me, bud, but tweeted to him nonetheless: https://twitter.com/YuTuCoin/status/1094307890997776384

Last activity /retweet/ is from the end of Jan, compared to the last login in the forum it's bigger chance to get in contact trough Twitter. Smiley Good luck
