Could someone perhaps recommend an exchange that already has BCC adresses listed?
I don't know of any yet, I however know that Kraken will list BCC (as BCH) shortly after the fork.
Personally, I'm going to wait for that and provide my Kraken BCH address (assuming the listing happens in the 10 day claiming period).
Got a little bit confused when I downloaded what I thought to be a BCC wallet, but it was a BitConnectCoin wallet, also has ticker BCC.
Just going to add an address from Bittrex if they add it for trading within the given timeframe for withdrawal on Crypto-Games.

There seem to be no light desktop wallets yet and I'm not looking to download the entire blockchain. Smiley

3062  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net ★ 9 coins ★ 7 games ★ Since 2014 ★ Largest Crowdfunded Casino on: July 31, 2017, 11:44:52 AM
Reminder:

In a few hours (cca. 7 hours from now), bitcoin withdrawals and crediting of bitcoin deposits will be stopped.
If you want to move some BTC to CryptoGames (eg for claiming your BCC that way)
or from CryptoGames to your wallets (eg because you want to claim your BCC on your own), better do it as soon as possible.

Once the split is over and the network is running stable, everything will resume back to normal.
Expected time for this is somewhere in the early hours August 2nd, there'll be another update once that happened.

Transactions on altcoins won't be affected in any way and will continue as before.
The ETH dices are quite hot these days Wink
You can just keep investments 'locked' right? You don't have to divest them (before or after 'split') to get your BCC claim?

Could someone perhaps recommend an exchange that already has BCC adresses listed?
3063  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex will support BCC - All BTC holders will get BCC on: July 31, 2017, 11:36:14 AM

Bittrex has seen the potential of bcc and so it has supported bcc unlike other exchangers. But I guess we do not need to worry since even if bittrex will support BCC then just convert it to altcoins  so you can send it to other exchanges. But BCC is not that bad, it is also good to get hold of bcc since it has also potential just like ethereum classic. It is a good opportunity to have bcc its just like joining in an ICO , I am sure that it will also grow in value but not like bitcoin. So it is a good idea to have both bitcoin and BCC at the same time. But I guess there will a great impact on bittrex because almost all of its users  are bitcon holders and possibly their market will not widen instead their customers will likely lessen due to their BCC adoption.
You know there are other exchanges that will be supporting BCC, right?
I mean, Bittrex is hardly the only on, Kraken will also be supporting BCC and I've seen some rumors that Bitfinex is also considering supporting it.

Don't take this post as a plea for or against bcc though, just correcting your errors here.

How long are you guys going to keep this campaign running? Since you're not accepting new applicants anymore..
Must be one of the longest running signature campaigns by now  Tongue
3066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Simulator for cryptocurrency trading ??? on: July 28, 2017, 02:19:38 PM
Hitbtc has a demo trading account which provides you with some demo Bitcoin and Litecoin for practice purposes.
You don't even have to register to be able to use it.

Check it out here:

3067  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MiningRigs.build - Custom Mining Rigs - Guides/Tutorials - Specs - and more on: July 28, 2017, 01:11:22 PM
Great idea actually, you could even add more shops in addition to Amazon? I'm personally unable to order certain things from Amazon since my country doesn't have it's own dedicated Amazon website.
Are you also planning on selling rigs that you've built yourself? You could also outsource the building of the rigs itself btw.
3068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PSA: Pokerstars accepts Bitcoin! (via Neteller) on: July 28, 2017, 01:00:22 PM
This is not the same as accepting bitcoin. There is no mention on their site at all about accpeting bitcoin.

It's almost the same as saying pokerstars accepts bitcoin, because it allows wire transfers. I can simply sell my bitcoin for cash and transfer that to pokerstars!

Yup....It's not even close to being the same.  Having to go through several gateways to get your deposit on site is extremely inefficient and it actually provides the opposite result to the benefits of using the bitcoin platform.  Why would anybody even do this? It doesn't even make sense; it's just a waste of resources!

Pokerstars is one of the biggest poker platforms there are!
It makes sense why people would want to use Pokerstars, it's not just any website.
And Neteller is also a major platform.

The discussion was never about pokerstars as a platform. Pokerstars is a great platform and if you want to play poker you are good there.

Jumping through hoops just to use bitcoin on pokerstars is a different thing.

Although TS explained it can be faster if you than a wire transfer, I don't think there is a faster way to load your PS account than through your credit card or pre-funded accounts like Neteller.
Yeah, I just created the topic to inform people that they can use Bitcoin to fund their Pokerstars accounts because it's not really visible if you just look at the cashier.
I don't know how popular Netellers is, so I guessed it could just be useful info for people to know, even if you have to jump through a few hoops.

Btw, in my country you can't even use credit cards, since it's illegal for online casino's to accept CC payments.
3069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin Over Market Price? on: July 28, 2017, 12:50:50 PM
Not that easy as you are writing the topic here. People need a lot of trust before you can trade over localbitcoins. The one thing you said, "why not look for buyers" who accepts higher prices? Well no, it doesn't work like that. People are very smart and if you want to sell at high then at the same time those people want to buy at lowest possible price. Remember one thing that you me and the rest world is same and everybody wants to earn profit forever. So it's little off the possible scenario to grab any kind of margin as you are wishing.

You've got one thing wrong there, people are generally not that smart. Or else people selling Bitcoins over at Ebay wouldn't be making a living doing so.
In some countries local sellers are selling Bitcoins with almost 100% profit, forgot whoch specific country it was though.

Sure, you're not going to get profit like that on established platforms, but it is possible.
Not saying it's very ethical either.
3070  Economy / Economics / Re: Explain on: July 28, 2017, 12:38:38 PM
What do you believe bitcoin is better than gold, explain?

I do not think that bitcoin is better than gold, we do not have any basis to assert it, people are just discussing it by value, that is one-sided evaluation. I like the general look and clarity when I compare anything.
It's just most people in this thread who are just comparing values and therefore coming to the conclusion that Bitcoin is better.

I don't think it's that simple and I'm more sided towards gold being a bit better do to it's real world applications as conductor etc. I'm sure it could be replaced my some other metal, but you would lose conductivity, I think.

Bitcoin also has enough real-world applications, but atm nothing that the world really needs to keep functioning.
3071  Economy / Economics / Re: Did AlphaBay bust affect price of bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 12:26:26 PM
It has already affected the price and we've already witnessed the recovery.
Most probably vendors from AlphaBay moved to other marketplaces and
things are back to usual.
Did you mean it affected the price because of the news of the bust and people selling because of it or because of the influx of new coins on the market?
I don't think the sale of the coins themselves would have that much impact on prices since it's an insignificant amount.

Also wouldn't really think that the news itself would have a big impact on the price, but could be wrong about that one.
3072  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Are bitcoin casinos still popular? on: July 28, 2017, 09:42:15 AM
I'm working on building a new website with various bitcoin games. There seems to be a lot of them out there already. Should I shelf this idea and find something unique?

Looking for more suggestions   Wink
-> The market is saturated, your idea wouldn't stand a chance even if you somehow manage to launch it.Especially when,
           - Market isn't quite ready to accept drastic changes over the traditional gambling games.
           - If you have huge investment backup, you can still drag the traffic somehow to try out the games which they will, but only future knows if they'll come back.
           - Overall,it's a waste of time, efforts and money if it doesn't work out.
-> With the advent of new casinos in the market everyday, you will need to spend double on the marketing over the actual  casino development/management.
The market is indeed definitely saturated, but even without a very big budget for marketing, you could still succeed.
It just takes time to get your name and brand out there.

That said, just to be able to run a gambling site, you need a huge budget for the bankroll alone, unless you crowdfund part of your bankroll.
3073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to buy BTC with USD on: July 28, 2017, 08:58:18 AM
As others have said localbitcoins is the way to go. It has a very easy sign up process and you can choose from a range of advertisements and payment methods. Make sure to read how the site works and how to minimalist risks with certain trades first though!
I personally wouldn't recommend Localbitcoins to new users, if they don't have any issues with getting verified on a trusted exchange.
New users especially are great targets for scammers, since they do not have experience with Bitcoin and might choose a seller with fake reviews, ratings.

Exchanges typically charge less fees as well.

I've always used Kraken and their verification process is pretty smooth, if I remember correctly.
Haven't had any issues with them.
3074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: my new sport diary with bitcoin bets to double a 1 BTC bank on: July 28, 2017, 08:48:04 AM
Pretty sad to see you lose your entire bankroll like this.
Why do you keep insisting on using the same strategy that lost you almost everything up until now?

You've been betting for 64 rounds now, that should indicate if your strategy is working or not by now.
3075  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Game Idea Feedback on: July 28, 2017, 08:39:45 AM
What kind of game would it be graphics wise?
Are you planning on making this into a text/turn based game or are you going to make something with nice graphics and effects?

The concept itself is pretty interesting, but your description is also very vague.
3076  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net ★ 9 coins ★ 7 games ★ Since 2014 ★ Largest Crowdfunded Casino on: July 28, 2017, 07:45:23 AM
I'm an investor at Crypto Games and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised after reading the announcement regarding BCC on the site's blog. While there is still a lot of uncertainty on many exchange sites how the situation will be handled, everyone at Crypto Games just stays calm and has a plan. For me this is very important, as my number one priority as an investor is not profit but the safety of my funds. The owners and staff always seem very professional, calm and reasonable. So while I'm a little nervous about the upcoming events, I think my funds are in good hands and therefore for me there is no reason to withdraw my investment prior to 01.08.
Thank you to the whole team at Crypto Games for handling the situation so well! I'm hoping (and assuming) that everything will run smoothly.
Not an investor anymore, but I think I'll keep the coins I currently have in a hot wallet on Crypto-games.
If I do want to cash out some BCC, I can do so easily without having to expose my own private keys.

Probably just going to keep everything in BTC though.
3077  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: July 28, 2017, 07:42:24 AM
that's a cool way to start the conversation. I usually send my friend transactions from my phone wallet and call them that if they have received the money. people around me get curious on how did I sent money so fast to other countries and then I start my talking stuff. I even made a website to show them exactly how powerful Bitcoin is and also I  use the recent rates(based on their local currency) so they became interested when they hear anything about money.

very smart way of making people curious. I'm an IT consultant and almost every day I'm visiting different customers and whenever we have a tea or lunch break I'm making people curious like that.
If you're doing freelance consulting and have your own business or if you're self-employed, it might also be a good idea to offer Bitcoin payments to your customers.
If not, you can always talk to your company about accepting bitcoin, you're a consultant after all. Wink
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POKER - What is really important for you!? on: July 27, 2017, 07:14:17 PM
As an online Poker player, the most important factor for me is to make sure that all my co-players within the table is a legit person and not a bot. It is my most concern of all things in poker and until I don't know how to verify it unless they are chatting in the chatbox. Roll Eyes

Well you can be playing with a bit while your opponent chats with you. It's just difficult to verify from he other side unless you use video chat perhaps that's the only way and I think that's difficult to achieve at this time of online poker gambling development.

Collusion is detectable.
In practice though, it's only going to be detectable by the bigger sites that have enough recources to stop it entirely.
I can imagine that it's pretty easy to circomvent detection on all the smaller sites that are running with a much smaller team.

I guess the smaller sites possibly also have some minor collusion detection options to their disposal, but nothing that can't be beaten by people who are smart enough to trick the system.

Players running bots on their accounts is also something that's going to affect online poker on a much bigger scale in the future, again mostly on smaller sites though.
3079  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Capitalism Flawed? on: July 27, 2017, 06:59:58 PM
Capitalism aids in wealth creation and helps lift people out of poverty.
If you think that the situation is bad in capitalist countries, you should visit countries with socialist / communist leanings. Things are much worse.
Socialism isn't all too bad in my opinion, some of the richest countries in the world are partially socialist.
I think in some ways it's really good to have some socialist aspects in society, such as basic healthcare and subsidized education.

Just look at most western European countries, quality of life there is really decent, but they do pay more taxes for it.
3080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much bad news. When will it end ? on: July 27, 2017, 06:53:01 PM
It's personally been a pretty good week for me, profit wise at least.
Managed to buy in at pretty low prices again when the price dropped and I really expect a market reaction after August the 1st.

Still looking that there won't be a split, so that's still positive.
