By the way the IEM Cologne 2022 tournament is closing in on us now. In two days we are going to start with play-in games first. The first eight teams of this elimination round are going to join the main tournament. Even in this stage there are really big teams like BIG, Heroic, Vitality and some more. The favourites wouldn't make a mistake I guess. But for the main tournament the biggest favourites are FaZe and Natus Vincere for me. C9 are the champions of the last IEM tournament in Dallas however this time I don't expect them to maintain a streak.

If BIG are anywhere near what the performed in the Roobet Cup, I'll definitely put them in the conversation for potential winners too, and If the odds are worth it, I might as well put a little on that. NaVi for me would be the biggest favorites with s1mple seemingly having a good time.

The only down part of the tournament imo might be how teams would adjust to the event being an offline one and without live audience, I really don't know the details but from the commentary after the Roobet cup finals, the hosts were talking about the technical differences between the online and offline CS:GO and it effects on the players.

Fabrizio Romano reports that CR7 has made his decision to leave in summer as he sees no ambition following failure of making any signing till now in the transfer window. (Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1543287644393725952) . United hopes to keep him but it will be hard to go against his decision. Also this will not go well amongst United fans.

It definitely wouldn't go down well with Man Utd fan, he's only joined last season and gave them quite a bit of hope that if they can provide a great squad with him, he'd duly deliver and he's frustration with Man Utd performance were very evident during games close to the end of the season with Man Utd failing to book the Uefa Champions League spot.

Ronaldo love to compete at very highest of level, and participating in the UCL would be a stain on his ego, we can all agree, however, I think he might still stay on for another year, except of course if he chooses to go to Bayern Munich should Lewandowski leave for Barcelona.

Man United have finally got their first signing with Tyrell Malacia, and it's indeed a deal that was hijacked from Lyon earlier this week, I've actually never heard of the guy until the Man United is said to have joined the race, and the player himself just having an official Twitter account as of just two days ago shows he's been literally off radars and just coming into the limelight.

Lyon are now looking elsewhere for another wing back in Tagliafico who's said to be on the verge of leaving Ajax.

"Utah Jazz trading star center Rudy Gobert to Minnesota Timberwolves for four first-round picks"
source: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34180894/sources-utah-jazz-trading-star-center-rudy-gobert-minnesota-timberwolves

I'm not sure how is this going to work for the Wolves honestly, i really don't like it. KAT is a shooter and all that but in a league where most teams are downsizing, i just don't see the fit. Rudy gonna clog the paint for A. Edwards and Wolves gonna be exploited defending the PnRs having two bigs at the same time. Not only is not a good fit but they had to give away four first-round picks. Lol   Imagine how many firsts are the Nets gonna get for Durant?

A dumb deal imo, but they probably reading way too much into how young a squad they currently have, I mean 20 years old Anthony Edwards is 20, Jaden McDaniels, 21, D’Angelo and KAT are both 26, they feel they could afford to let their next few years of draft go for Rudy, but I'm just keen to see how they tend to go about having both bigs on the floor work.

while neighbors are celebrating Salah staying, we let go Richarlison to Tottenham, and that is a sign that next season could be as bad as this one
and there is no Burnley to save us this year, but hopefully Fulham will be there to relegate instead

nevertheless, for me it seems that City will dominate next season in Premier, but CL will be their headache again
Damn. That's a tough pill to swallow, while I don't like how the man plays, and his attitude when he plays against us. He was your best player I'd say. At least, what was left after Rafa. That's unfortunate, that he'll still be in the Premier League though, I expect more of the same shithousery that he did in Everton against us.

I don't think City will dominate, we have strengthened, and while City will be favourites I do expect us to be up there somewhere making it at least competitive.

I doubt Man City will be dominating too, but that will be up to how competitive the others too, it would have been a runaway since ending of march or thereabout if Liverpool weren't in the picture, it might be a case similar come the new season if Chelsea aren't able to keep up with the pace too, I've already ruled out Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal.

The 11th ranked BIG team eliminated the 1st ranked Faze and won the Roobet cup tournament, which, frankly, no one expected. I have seen very positive developments in BIG players. He was very effective in the Syrson Faze match, we should not forget Tizian, I can say that his team helped his team to reach the final, it was the first time I saw the BIG team so dominant in a tournament.
To me, it was already expected as BIG managed to take down Faze in the groups so it wasn't surprising to see it happened the second time around. At the start of the tournament, I didn't expect them to make it out of the groups as they weren't playing with their full roster(k1to standing in for faven) but they still made it work.

If you can do it once, then you really can do it twice... BIG defeated FaZe not just once, but twice in the competition. The first group decider match between both sides that BIG won should have been enough indication that it could happen all over again, and it sure did.

Let's see what Cologne would have in store for us in coming weeks.

let' see if Navi can give us another 2:0 sweep
There goes the Navi handicap as MG takes map 1, decent early to mid-game from Navi but they fall off hard mid to late game as their Sniper looked underwhelming compared to MG's Medusa.

Taking NaVi now to win after losing the first map seems more valuable than the -1.5 Handicap pre-game, but just like ArrDee said; Who Woulda Thought ?

as of today, Ousmane Dembélé is without a club, which means that many top clubs would be able to get him for free.
according to transfermarkt.co.uk, clubs like fc chelsea, bayern munich or even the french serial champion psg are interested in the french right winger.

Quote
French forward Ousmane Dembélé has officially left Barcelona, following the player’s contract at the Spanish club expiring. That now means that the 25-year-old winger is technically a free agent and will be able to join any club in the world for free, assuming he and his future side can agree terms on a new contract.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dembele-departs-barcelona-after-contract-expires-where-next-for-the-french-winger-/view/news/407071

I think Barcelona and the player would eventually find a common ground, things seemed to have settled way better than it was between both parties some month back and since there aren't too many club willing to take the risk with him, he might need to prove himself a bit more at Barcelona, and given that he's still just 25, provided he can stay fit for the long term, he's still got a whole career ahead of him.

Semifinal matches were played yesterday in the roobet tournament. In the Big-C9 match, tizian and syrson put in extra performance to beat c9. I think Tizian had a good game after a long time. I didn't expect Big to win.

I wasn't entirely surprised with BIG winning, the sweep is what I was surprised about, I expected a much close game with both teams getting a map, but BIG were the better sides and deserve  the win, speaking of BIG we've got the tournament final upon us today, can BIG really go all the way and provide another stunner against the almighty FaZe ?

The odds remains in favour of FaZe and BIG are valued @ 1.55 to win at least a map, is that worth a shot ? Imo, I say yes given how BIG have fared so far in this competition, I really don't think they're just going to crumble totally today, so FaZe should get a run for their money.

I don't think Big has a strong enough squad to win any tournament. Faze firepower is better than big. Faze is on its way to becoming an unstoppable team. Tizian and krimbo are not enough players for the big team. But one or two players from the big have a chance to show an extra performance. The most important ones are k1to and syrson.

Faze have just forced overtime after BIG having four chances to close it out, I really don't think BIG still don't stand a chance, they've put up a bigger fight than anyone could have expected or given them credit for, the momentum have swung in FaZe's favour going into OT, but it's all doable for BIG and it wouldn't be much of an upset if they do imo.

Yeah actually Chelsea also were targeting Richarlison to sign for some time but they didn't even try to intervene the deal. Lukaku has left the club to join Inter on loan so they need a striker to fill his place in the team in the end. I really wonder what the reason could be for Chelsea about not going for Richarlison. I think their hand would be stronger than Tottenham too. Anyway, I hope Chelsea can find a good centre-forward for themselves before the new season starts.
Instead of looking for a replacement for Lukaku, Chelsea officially recruited Raphinha. Now they are also reportedly interested in bringing Neymar to Stamford Bridge even though a number of people booed him. I think these rumors are very interesting because to be honest I don't see Neymar having any problems at PSG all this time. But if Tuchel wants to reunite with Neymar then this is a good opportunity for him.

I'm not even sure that Raphinha is done deal already although Leeds have reject the bid for Barcelona since it was pretty much lower that 60M from Chelsea, their easiest deal would have been with Richarlison and there's been no news as to why it didn't happen any longer, I don't think it's Tottenham paid better or serves the players best interest from all possible angles.

Neymar isn't going to happen, at the very least most definitely not this season, you've already since first hand how aggressive PSG can be when it comes to keep their players, it happened when Barcelona came calling for Verratti years ago and most recently Real Madrid coming for Mbappe, Neymar doesn't have a release clause with PSG and he's still under a contract, there's definitely no way Chelsea can force PSG hand on this.

Tottenham are said to be close to agreeing on a deal with Everton for Richarlison now. They want to sign Anthony Gordon at the same time too but Everton are unlikely to sell him also. Signing Richarlison would be quite enough for Tottenham by the way because he is a really good talent. He should have left Everton before already too. But thankfully he has a big opportunity to play for a bigger team and a team that are going to play in the Champions League. Tottenham would get much stronger with him.

I was expecting Richarlison to end at a bigger club, perhaps Chelsea, but I'd assume Chelsea pulled out of the deal, since advances were being made already and Richarlison might have had a better chance at Chelsea with Lukaku out for least the entirety of the season. It might have been a step forward for the Brazilian but he definitely would face a more stiff competition than he did at Everton and would need to prove himself.

Tottenham are really having a go in the transfer window, talks are also said to be in place for Lenglet of Barcelona especially the possibility of a loan, but I fully suspect that might have something to do with Barcelona deal with Man Utd concerning De Jong and the potential player (Maguire) that could be addon to the deal, that'd be such a real bummer!
3075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 29, 2022, 08:12:10 PM
What seems like a joke is not in the desire to sign Lewandowski in my opinion, but in the negotiation process with Manchester United who want Frenkie De Jong who has not got a deal to date. I think this is the reason Barcelona have not agreed with Manchester United's offer and asked for a higher price to get De Jong.

Barcelona must release a player who has an important role in the team to be able to get funds and the sale of Frenkie De Jong could be a solution to get Lewandowski.
Does it worth it though? Would you prefer to have De Jong who is a young star player, or would you prefer to have Lewandowski who is arguably better of course but at the same time he is very old. I mean if we are talking about it financially then I would keep De Jong instead because he could worth a lot more in the future.

I would rather have Frenkie De Jong retained than going all out for Lewandowski to be honest, Barcelona didn't just pay as much as they just last season for Ferran Torres just have him probably become the second option upfront, Maybe not as effective as Lewandowski would be but Barcelona have multiple players that can fill up the centre forward position, while not too many options that are as dynamic as De Jong that can play in several position in the midfield, and is still pretty much a very young player, regardless of what they get in profit as difference from what they paid for him initially it's still going to be a loss for Barcelona imho.
3076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 29, 2022, 07:25:15 PM
What genius was Inter soccer team, I've heard something about the agreement between them and Chelsea for Lukaku, they first sold him to Chelsea for 100 £m and then re-bought it for only 8£m as loan.

I've seen this deal like the same one made with Pogba between Man Utd and Juventus. Hope only that Lukaku will return to his high levels of 2 years ago.

Don't know why but sometimes Serie A always gets a better advantage when making transfers with the EPL. It's not only Lukaku, actually when we look at Pogba and Manchester United, their cases are actually almost the same and Juventus still benefits even though the time lapse is quite different from Lukaku who only had 1 season. But it's still the same even Juventus got Pogba back for free after a few seasons ago selling him for more than 100 Million.

Pogba going back to Juventus for almost free is definitely Man Utd's fault and a bit of coincidence to the change of the coach, I'm sure Ten Haag would have been consulted by the club before deciding not to renew Pogba's contract, and why it's much more Man Utd's fault or the nature of the relationship between both parties, If Pogba was considered a vital part of their team, they definitely wouldn't have waited for his contract to fully expire before discussing a renewal, it should have been done last summer or at most during the winter earlier this year, but it seems both parties were comfortable with parting ways after the end of the season.

(but knowing my luck with BIG in my betslips, they'll prolly win 2-0  Grin )

And it's happened! another sweep from the underdogs, I thought slotting in k1to might disrupt their chemistry but I was wrong, the first map was a complete annihilation, and Cloud9 had no answers whatsoever to BIG aggression, the final score of the map doesn't even do justice to how the game started to be fair.
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 29, 2022, 12:59:02 PM
Also similar odds is a bet on 3 maps for both games of Big vs c9 and Astralis vs Faze somehow that also is rated unlikely but still seems close to possible to me

Given how the tournament have mostly turned out, I think the odds for BIG and Astralis are somewhat generous and could be worth a punt, however, I settled for both teams to pick up at least one map each + Fnatic to win ML in the Republeague vs ex-MAD Lions for a combined over 3.7+ Odds.

BIG vs Cloud 9 is about to get underway already.

3079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 28, 2022, 10:22:24 PM
I missed the 1st map between Astralis and forZe as well, but I'm in on the second one, and it's been a great start for forZe with a 8-0 lead, they shouldn't be throwing this away.

Its either that Astralis was so much better or they threw that round away lol. It was 11-1 at some point and somehow it became 15-15 then it goes to overtime which ended with 19-22. They must have feel bad for themselves lol with huge lead of 11-1 but they lost the round.

Oh well both game ended with only 2 maps for today, kinda expecting both games to be 3 maps for today for the sake of entertainment

It's been a really unpredictable tournament, the knockouts look it was supposed to be a one sided events, but the underdogs were highly competitive and some even went through to the next round, now the quarter final is feeling less competitive, but hopefully the semi-finals will provide better sense of excitements, because today wasn't it.

Speaking of the semi-finals I don't have any teams in mind to root for, it's going to be a 50/50 chance for me, betting on the Map Overs might just be a waste of money too, since it's kinda more of going to be a coinflip.
3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 28, 2022, 09:10:47 PM
It does look like Manchester United are gearing up to snatch Tyrell Malacia that has been linked to a move to Lyon. Malacia shares the same Agent with Frankie De Jong and Malacia fits the profile of player that Ten Hag wants in his rebuild. He was scouted during his time as Ajax manager and he appreciates his speed, positional awareness, high interception rate, and ability to attack space. It does look like everything has been agreed and they’re awaiting the player’s say before the deal will be finalized. He will be the second player to come to Old trafford if De Jong's deal goes through.

Fromm the looks of it, it looks like Murtough of Manchester united is doing stuffs right in the transfer market albeit in a slower version. With an imminent deal for De Jong being agreed soon and Malacia transfer to Lyon being hijacked. Manchester united look on course to get 3 signings in the next few days with Lisandro also in view. That's a cm, lb and cb deal done in space of few days. Would be massive activities if achieved

I really don't think most of the deal will eventually workout to be honest, I mean they've already been on Frenkie De Jong's case forever and it wouldn't be a surprise if they're able to snatch him up, but for the other deals, I guess it's just trying to staying in the news and all, they've been pretty much quite all along.

Raphinha is so close on joining the Tuchel's side. I hope this time the blues sign a player in the transfer window. Leeds have agreed the official bid of Chelsea, talks ongoing and looks like raphinha bid will ranked to up €65m with add-ons. Verbal and personal condition will be agree between the two clubs, however other teams like Arsenal and Barcelona will look out on the player as they won't match up Chelsea bid. Currently, Todd Boehly's are the ones leading the race to bring in the Brazilian to the club.

As per Fabrizio Romano, A deal have been finalize already and Chelsea are also reaching out to Man City to submit offer for Raheem Sterling as Tuchel is said to be interested in getting two wing players.
Man City strengthening Chelsea, I wouldn't be too sure with Guardiola in charge.
