3061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2021, 11:30:45 PM
Sorry, that's a wrong "INX" (INMax vs INX Ltd-which was controversial).
What a stupid name, anyway.
The one he worked on (INX_Ltd, don't know the ticket symbol)- is not trading yet, imho

OT: Mow's INX is this one:
https://www.coindesk.com/inx-wraps-openfinance-acquisition

Could be a stillborn company anyway...

Good catch, I take that part back.
3062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2021, 10:12:23 PM
2. Liquid.
This is still a sleeper.  I think the power of a federated settlement layer on top of BTC is not yet grokked by the masses.

I took a pretty deep look into it once and concluded there's no real reason not to use Liquid to cheaply move around BTC. I would rather leave it in on-chain BTC form for storage purposes but Liquid is great for moving it around... just needs more exchange support (Bitfinex and one or two other exchanges currently support it).

3. Liquid assets.
Ethereum is a train wreck.

Maybe. But then why would Samson Mow agree to advise an Ethereum shit token? His whole Twitter celebrity is based around trashing Ethereum, then he takes 100,000 shittokens to shill what turned out to be trash... goes back to unironically trashing Ethereum, basically undeterred by what just happened...  Roll Eyes

Here's the chart of INX, the project Mow worked as "advisor" for (he's no longer listed as an advisor on the website):

(image redacted)

As you can see, a few months after distribution (the year after this SEC filing), there was a huge dump from which this project will never recover. Everyone who ever invested in this apparent scam is sitting on a loss.

Nobody should be taking Mow seriously. Same goes for Adam Back who unfortunately came to his defense in the matter on at least a few occasions.

They are bright people but also occasionally full of shit for the sake of furthering their own financial interest.
3063  Economy / Reputation / Re: 50 Merit for Authentication Post on: June 16, 2021, 08:11:14 PM
It was also extremely easy to link the two accounts together via ETH addresses.

sunce33 used this ETH address to send 5000 Peculium (PCL) tokens to jovan85's address on 12/30/18. It wasn't a one-time thing either, he's sent several different tokens to himself.

He's also received tokens from

pingu39 (inactive)
jootjejodel (banned)

Obviously the first two accounts are the same person and it looks like this is a long time scamming ban evader. I hate being lied to, even if it was over a year ago. This person clearly doesn't care about anything.
3064  Other / Meta / Re: Lightning Network subforum proposal. on: June 16, 2021, 08:00:25 PM
IMHO creating this sub board would be a smart move.

Also IMHO I don't think Bitcoin will ever really "take off" from here (granted its already had an amazing journey) without a healthy shift of tx load onto 2nd layer networks.

Several well-funded coins have already converted their mission into acting as sidechains for Ethereum, and so far its worked well for them.

If Bitcoin wants to keep scaling solutions in-house then a lot more emphasis needs to be placed on LN, which is why fostering additional focus on it isn't such a bad idea.
3065  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinsbit.io on: June 16, 2021, 07:38:44 PM
Coinsbit are definitely selective scammers and I would stay clear away from them. Not only do they have dozens of complaints logged in detail here but pretty much everyone all over the internet hates them...

This site is definitely a scam!!!Ive been trying to withdraw my bitcoin since January..I was told to contact security@coinsbit so I did a total of 10 times with 2 responses asking for my info but still nothing..Do NOT put your money here, you wont get any back!!

Updated 5 days ago

I tried to withdraw my SafeEarth token six times. However, almost none of them were successful (only successful for once). The most important is that I lost all the tokens I requested to withdraw after an unsuccessful withdrawal. I have already submitted a ticket on 01/06/2021 (ticket number is 91873) but still haven't received any useful response from their customer support team. I am very disappointed with Coinsbit since they cannot keep my assets safe, and their customer support team (or maybe the technical support team) is very inefficient. I am still waiting for their response. I will not change my rating score for Coinsbit until they solve my problem and return my tokens.

They have a lot of unanswered complaints on their social media pages as well.

The scamming accusations aren't new either.

I do understand why people still use them... they are the only option when it comes to trading a lot of shit tokens. Well, that is an inherent risk in the endeavor I suppose.
3066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2021, 07:16:00 PM
Whoaza.. you must surely be a true bitcoiner to have eyes like that in dee real life (irl).

He's actually a Jawa.

3067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2021, 03:13:41 AM
Some might describe their methods as "unsound." But

looking at their historical chart, we're lower now than we were a year ago... ?

3068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paul Todor be the influencer to take BTC to the moon? on: June 16, 2021, 01:16:44 AM
PTJ's thoughts on it are obviously good for adoption.  The more people who are respected in the hedge fund and Wall Street areas understanding the value that bitcoin brings, the better of course.  One alone?  Not enough - unless, perhaps, it is Gary Gensler and he approves an ETF.

I don't care about rich people getting richer on Bitcoin, or their thoughts on it for that matter.

Bitcoin is already a resounding success. So much so that there is a significant premium on transactions.

Authoritative answer:
The moon has about 9,300,000,000 acres.
1 acre is $19.99.
So, moon is in fact almost $200.000.000.000.
q.e.d.

edit: obviously, there's been "lunar inflation" over the past 6 years, so 1 acre is now at $24.99
Which brings "moon" to almost $250.000.000.000.

Well done. Pretty smart of this guy to claim the moon before anyone else could come up with the idea.

What will he do to protect my moonstead from space pirates, though?
3069  Economy / Reputation / Re: Goodbye, world! on: June 15, 2021, 10:47:33 AM
This is random but it occurred to me I should post it here before I forget it.

There was one time when Lauda really helped me out, unexpectedly, and defended me when nobody else was there... I mean literally nobody else was commenting in that thread, but it meant a lot to me that they could recognize what was going on and bother to intervene.

So, that's my Lauda story, and no its not some kind of kiss-ass maneuver, its a real thing that happened one time, that I needed to be part of the record, for as long as there's a record.
3070  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2021, 10:11:36 AM
ChartBuddy working his magic.

Or maybe its a combination of Proudhoun/ChartBuddy juju, only future study will tell.

$40k and up, witch doctors orders.
3071  Economy / Reputation / Re: I did NOT ROB 25000 coins from AllInVain - please stop the harassment on: June 15, 2021, 04:14:37 AM
read this here - there are several statements like this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16457.540 - he also confirmed it to me verbally and over text messages - i can prove it especially since it was sent over text - like i do not understand what is wrong with you ppl - i am explaining to you that i completed my research - the person that is causing me problem is someone on this forum that is a high ranking member - i don't understand why you are trying to convince me otherwise

Bruh.... I asked you what the account name was in my first post. Your response was:

I do not know the member of the forum that are helping AllInVain - but they are on this forum - i asked AllInVain to reveal the name of the people that are doing this to me and he refuses

But then you said this:

the person that is helping ALLINVAIN is on this thread - has been on here for a long time - he is an active member that is a garbage human being and i want this person arrested without affecting AllInVain - he confirmed it verbally and also confirmed it on several posts - like i am not lying here man

He's on this thread? I do not think so mate.

I'm not accusing you of lying. Everybody who commented here so far is trying to help you out. Its hard to do that without knowing circumstances and details. Just relax for a minute and we'll see what the man himself has to say.
3072  Economy / Reputation / Re: I did NOT ROB 25000 coins from AllInVain - please stop the harassment on: June 15, 2021, 03:32:28 AM
I talked to him over FaceBook and over phone twice (voice) also texts - i know him since he was 14 for crying out loud - he still uses the same nickname he did on IRC in the mid 90's nd pretends to be a hacker - I was going to call his dad because i had enough of this shit out of respect for how long i've known this guy.

OK well he'll likely log in pretty soon and hopefully provide a response.

It is not a scammer, i thought so initially for the first 2 months - but after confronting AllInVain - he confirmed that they are working together and that he is helping him out

Whoever contacted allinvain is in all likelihood still a scammer that came up with a harebrained plan to extort you.

Perhaps your harassers think you are Adrian Lamo, which you clearly are not... hope they aren't actually that dumb.

After doing a bit of research, it would appear the identity of the person who claims to have stolen the coins is known, however that can all be meaningless as its based on hearsay... This person is actively involved in various cryptocurrency companies. You probably are aware of all of this.

It's an interesting story.

We (most of us) have no idea who you are and this happened 10 years ago now, so... short of changing your phone number and going to local law enforcement, I don't know what to tell you. I do hate hearing about people getting harassed by douchebags tho.
3073  Economy / Reputation / Re: I did NOT ROB 25000 coins from AllInVain - please stop the harassment on: June 15, 2021, 12:16:52 AM
I do not know the member of the forum that are helping AllInVain - but they are on this forum - i asked AllInVain to reveal the name of the people that are doing this to me and he refuses - his exact words are 'it is none of your business and he wants to see what proof they have' - but feel free to ask him who is helping him. he refuses to tell me or the police.

As others mentioned earlier, this sounds like a shakedown attempt by a scammer, and you don't actually have anything to worry about. Here's an important question:

You say you know allinvain IRL but how do you know the person you were communicating with is actually allinvain?

I will bring this thread to their attention.

Edit: the original crime could have been solved in 2011 as at least some of allinvain's coins were sent to a MtGOX controlled address.

3074  Economy / Reputation / Re: I did NOT ROB 25000 coins from AllInVain - please stop the harassment on: June 14, 2021, 11:39:39 PM
it is in regards to the members involved with this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16457.0

i did not hack Mr AllInVains coins!!!  and some of the members on this site are after be because This gentleman told them that i might have been involved - i am not involved in the theft of 7+ million dollars - and i will co-operate with law enforcement agencies if i am asked to.

i am not a liar and a thief but this is not how this  is supposed to be handled

The last post in that thread is from 2011 and I'm pretty aware of what happened.

You must be referencing newer forum members. Who are they?

Tell us the names of the members from this forum that are harassing you and we will pretty much know right away if they are full of shit or not.

If they're not from this forum, there's not much we can do.
3075  Other / Meta / Re: Is The Purpose of The Merit System Defeated? on: June 14, 2021, 09:44:38 PM

Gross. You're in the exact same boat as OP, and you've been plagiarizing since your first post.

*BTC surveys=

You should know the following things before you serve
*Background
*Creation
*Growth
*Prices and value history
*Forks
*Regulatory issues
*Bitcoin faucets
*Theft and exchange shutdowns
*Taxation and regulation
etc

Your list looks familiar. Oh, that's because you copied straight down the list from the table of contents for the Wikipedia History of Bitcoin article.

Why didn't you include Arbitrary blockchain content? Lol.

So actually you're in a worse boat than OP. There's no reason for you to be here. Please don't come back under a new account.
3076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LiveCoin.net >Buy/Sell/Exchange>New pairs:BVK/BTC,APOD/BTC,KTETH/BTC on: June 14, 2021, 08:35:04 PM
Apparently somewhere there was a failure in coordinated actions. Cheesy They are already so lying that it’s not even a circus, it’s a banal farce.

IMO it's not even close to coordinate action. Of course, the Livecoin scam staff agree to follow this way but not like a programmed/ scheduled task or such. One of them can easily do this shit posting rain randomly and just for the fun to prove actually nothing.
So now they want to repay us ALL (lol) by making the repayment *cough* scamcrap *cough* process easier by asking a...passport!!! Maybe they want to tell and from which country they prefer, to just make it a walk in the park for them?! Cheesy
First refund: 16.05.2021
Second refund: 04.06.2021

i now got all my balance back from livecoin. ( all from 0xf99dddd7153b9f2ed44d41429ede1ab71232aee0 )

If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry

There are no transactions for $600 on either date.

I successfully got a refund from livecoin. process was complex and took time from January till May.
they could not provide a calculation of how the number came about - but i received 600 USDT, which is roughly half the worth of my coins from February ( SIB + BTC )

There's no transactions near $600 around either of those dates that both go to the same address. There's a $613 and a $614, but neither of those addresses are yours. You wouldn't care about disclosing those addresses because they are boring: one goes to Binance and the other hasn't gone anywhere.

So nice try though, hope selling your soul was worth the 8 rubles.

Haben sie alle ihre persönlichen daten an die Livecoin betrüger weitergegeben? Warum tust du das?

Nobody believes you anyway but enjoy another red tag.

I am just few weeks old in this platform

Then why are you already posting in Meta? If you're not the slightest bit interested in learning about or discussing Bitcoin, you should probably leave.

The merit system does defeat itself when it leads to the formation of threads like this one, threads that serve no purpose other than to get merit.

Your very first post is about what newbies should do to get merit.  Cheesy

The jokes people play to get back into this forum...

@Quickteller I am definitely going to work harder.  I have learnt to report good post for it to be merited. I also learn to copy down the post link in a notepad pending when I have sendable merit.  Thank you all, I am grateful.

There's only one account who has ever made this particular spelling error on the forum. This better not be who I think it is.  Cheesy

They should have just combined the two cool names into one, because I don't know about you but I would definitely invest in an ICO led by someone named Maverick Conscience. He does things his way or the highway! He may be an outsider but we like his gusto.

Here I found some more Team Members™.

3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: June 13, 2021, 06:18:22 AM
@nutildah. I thought the live draft is done every week before the games. Okay then I also vote in for the live draft hehehe. But can you not change your team once a week and can those changes then be done on your own time?

Now I understand your hesitancy. No, the idea is to make a team in the draft and keep it for the whole season, treating it like a real team.

Having said that, cases will arise where one of your starters will get injured, and maybe your backup has a bye week. Or maybe your backup plain sucks. In case you need a new player, you can drop an old one and pick up a new one off the waiver wire.

Its possible to rearrange your entire team every week but too many adds and drops kind of goes against the spirit of the game. Besides, most good players end up getting drafted right away, which leaves slim pickens as free agents.

Basic FF Facts For Newbs

- Each team has a max total of 16 players, so the draft will be 16 rounds long.

- There are 9 starting and 7 benched players each game. You must set your starters before gametime or they won't play that week.

- Most positions have a maximum # you can have in that position (for example, you can have a max of 3 kickers, sorry suchmoon). Check the League Settings for specifics.

- Each week, teams in the league face off against each other in head-to-head competitions. Whoever's team scores the most points in their matchup, gets a W for the week.

- "Points" in FF refers to points earned by the plays of individual players in your starting roster (and also the Defense, the 9th player).

- Different plays earn different amounts of points. For example, if a QB throws a TD pass, the QB earns 4 points + 0.04 points per passing yard, and the receiver earns 6 points + 0.1 points per receiving yard. So a 20-yard pass into the end zone would be worth a total of 18 points.

- You can also lose points as some plays are worth negative points. A fumble or interception is -2 points, a missed field goal is -1, and there are others all shown in the League Settings.

Umm... What else...

Oh, playoffs for our league start a couple weeks earlier than the NFL because it doesn't make sense to keep playing after NFL teams are eliminated.
