I've got some money in stratis, when it reaches 10$/coin next week I'm cashing out and investing it in sonm, hopefully prices will still be below 0.2$, next year at this time we'll be wondering whether or not to buy sonm at 1.5$, the year after we're asking ourselves if 5$ a coin is still a good investment If SONM reaches $5 it'll be guaranteed to be a good investment. At least if that's a sustained sideways moving $5 and not a pump and dump. That would mean that SONM has established itself and is on the way to becoming a major tech company, which would imply a market cap in the tens if not hundreds of billions and token prices of several hundreds USD or even above $1000. |

How is there a proof in this thread for DO beeing a scam if it is not a scam? Did OP lie to us?  I don't know anything about the OP. And DO isn't a scam because it doesn't sell anything that doesn't work and doesn't directly steal money. But it is definitely a ponzi with the current rules. To most people scams and ponzi mean basically the same though... so it might as well be a scam given the average English skills of this forum. Hm I think the moderator should change at least the title of the Thread. It could also be called Deep Onion unmoderated Thread or something like that, but I think the title is missleading. Right now you can not say wether it is a scam or not, I think we all will know after the airdrop finished. Like Schroedingers scam or something. Where I come from somebody is innocent until proven guilty. Like I said. It's per definition of the word not a scam. But it has definitely turned into a ponzi scheme when the rules were changed. |

It was just a pump and dump. There were rumors about "great news", but in the end it was just listing on more exchanges. The token is still useless without the AC and cards still haven't rolled out. So the price will remain more or less stable or even go down a bit more until Singapore gets their first cards. At that point the price will pump massively again, but solely based on hype (unless the AC gets replaced). Once people realize that the 40k cards that have been ordered won't take out anywhere close to enough coins to drop liquidity to a point where the price is forced to go up the price will start correcting downward again. |

If you have invested bigger capital in waves then you can afford to hold it for a long term but if you are trading with a little amount then its gonna take a very long time to give you good profits.
What point are you even trying to make here? Small bets = small returns, bigger bets = bigger returns? That has nothing to do with the coin. |

Sticking to Large caps is a good option that market cap segment typically holds 80%+ of the total market share and has about 13 coins. Good user adoption and has plenty of room to grow.
Hunting low market caps and ICOs with real world applications is never a bad idea either though as part of the "venture" portfolio. There are going to be a few coins that will create a profit of x100 to x10,000 in the coming years. Just a matter of finding them early enough. |

I guess Waves are good enough for a long-term investment, but do not expect too much. If you want a long-term investment, you should just use Bitcoin. Waves arise when another cryptocurrency has dominated, so it will be very difficult for Waves to participate and sit in the top cryptocurrency position. Not to mention the transaction and how to dilute Waves, maybe you need to do trading and wait for buyers Waves are legit and trusted. In contrast to the top cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and several others. The number of BTC is fixed and it is 21M. each transaction has to be verified by Miners in order for it to be a valid transaction. Mining is very costly process and in return Miners get a reward with BTC. The difficulty of mining is getting higher and higher. My doubt is when we reach the limit of 21M, the difficulty of mining might be very costly and what if miners are no more interested in mining. Who will be there to verify transactions. Let's say however we hit the limit of 21M and then there is nothing to mine and then who is going to verify the transaction.
If miners leave mining that is fine, then difficulty goes down and it becomes more profitable for those that still mine. That's not a problem. Also the 21M limit won't be hit for many decades. As far as I'm aware the difficulty takes a very long time to adjust downwards, unlike the very quick upward adjustments. So miners disappearing could cause a big problem. Don't quote me on this though, as I'm not 100% certain about this. I personally think that we should also consider the other costs of mining, e.g., electricity, cost of hardware. When it becomes harder to mine, it may also become harder for stand alone miners to survive against those who rents aircraft hangers to mine. Because at some point, it may become unreasonable for small miners to mine if it will not bring any profit to them. That's my opinion  That's why I don't recommend mining for profits to beginners or low net worth individuals. Mining is not an easy job as other thought, you have to spend much time to learning and research about the method can mining with cheap fee for electric bill. Beside that, the price of hardware for mining is also not cheap. Especially, in my country, there are a lot of miners can not buy hardware mining because domestic supply is not enough while demand is too high, which has led to continuous increase in product value. Yeah, mining is quite difficult for non-tech nerds. And even tech nerds don't always understand business enough to optimize the economical aspect of mining. It can be a great hedge if you know what you're doing though, but you need a lot of capital for it to be worth your time. |

China is the largest country with the largest population. They hold 20% Bitcoin. If bitcoin is banned in China, then this will not affect the market. so we do not panic, sure bitcoin will not be unstoppable.
If China actually dumped all of its Bitcoins the price could drop as much as 20% or more (if they really hold that number). But that would just mean Bitcoin discount sales. |

Apparently scientists are fairly confident that humans can easily live to 140 years of age. So who knows. If you stay active and healthy in old age you might extend your life significantly and actually live in 100 years (unless you're already >50).
There is no hard limit to it. After 20 or 30 years, the scientists will say that the maximum possible lifespan for humans is 200 years. This is not a hard coded number and it can change. And also, some of the doctors are performing head transplants now. If that happens, then humans may be able to live for more than 300 or 400 years. Just need to change the torso every 60 or 70 years. Oh my god I completely forgot about the head transplant that was supposed to happen this month. I assume it didn't happen yet since there were no big news. So when's the big day? |

Now it's 'worth' 100x that at 12k, but that's the steepest of discounts, because it's actually going to be worth 100x that at 1.2mil before long, and not one penny less. The income that bitcoin can bring is much higher than the income from other investment assets. That comes at the price of much higher risks though. There is no easy way out of becoming rich, you have to take such sort of risks in your life if you do want to change your life. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are gaining lot of attention and there are number of people which are investing a huge amount of money in this. Stocks market is going down and the money which you earn by investing in stocks is too low as compared to what you can actually get by investing in bitcoin. The money you can earn on the stock exchange is more than enough to become rich with even a low salary within a decade. And it's much safer than crypto. That's just a fact. I'm not saying risk is bad, but you should know exactly what you're getting into. Most of my portfolio is in crypto despite the high risk involved and I've only kept enough in stocks to maintain my lifestyle via passive income no matter what happens. |
