3061  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.3.1 on: August 07, 2013, 03:27:14 AM
Does anyone else have issues using USB flash drives while running CGMiner?
I have a thread here where I tried Alot to fix my USB drivers, turns out that it appears CGMiner was causing them to hang/freeze
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=267980.0

On a related note, I have an E-MU Tracker Pre USB that I'm using as my audio device and I notice that I get crackles from time-to-time when it's playing audio with CGMiner driving USB Erupters in the background.
3062  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: August 06, 2013, 07:50:47 PM
What's that on the top left and on the middle shelf?

Top left is a little USB fan pointing down on a couple Erupter USBs hosted on a DLink 7 port hub. Rest of top is more Erupter USB's plugged into more DLink 7 ports.

Shelf below that is two ~13gH/s Block Erupter Blades.

Shelf below that is 5 x Anker 10 port hubs, fans, and USB Erupters.

 Bottom shelf is power supplies.

Received a package from friedcat this morning, and finally undertook some re-organization that the wife was "gently reminding" me to tidy up.

Picked up a little $39 shelf from Target and moved about 40gH/s of ASICMiner gear into it. I think she'll be much happier with this setup rather than having it all in plain sight on one of my desks Wink

3064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Juiced 13 Port power supply on: August 06, 2013, 02:29:07 PM
Verifying that the 13 port Juiced Hub is only 3000mA.

And for the curious, verifying that you can do side-by-side on the horizontal spacing.

How are you now head of operations? I thought nzhang was in charge and he had some professor who was uber smart helping him along with a Chinese team.

[–]yifuguo 0 points 10 months ago

What you said is correct.

he is in charge of all the technical development, I suppose I shouldn't have used such misleading title as we don't have really have a corporate structure in this project. but if you want to look at it, he is CTO and I'm more of a CFO/COO person.

So either he doesn't know what a COO or a CFO does, or he's giving everyone the finger as he trolls through life.

Well, I guess this makes two Bitcoin ASIC companies I'm never doing business with again...

Very disappointing to see these scenarios play out.

*mumbles something about money, power and corruption*
3066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Little Single SC greatly underperforming on: August 06, 2013, 06:07:03 AM
Any suggestions?

 - Have you tried another pool ? Try https://bitminter.com/
 - Does this consistently happen ? It's cool at the start - Mines fine - starts to degrade after time as it heats up ? Did you try to confirm this pattern after letting it cool down for 5 minutes or so ?
3067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: August 06, 2013, 05:58:18 AM
TH/s is exploding.

Yeah, gut is telling me the Bitfury mines are powering up.

EDIT: ...and if you are into conspiracy theories, I came across this link here on the forums yesterday :: http://bflfraud.com/

<tinfoilhat>
"Joe told me that this was not the first Minirig which had gone out the back door because he had done this sort of display setup around thirty times and had even brokered one or two on ebay. He also told me that within an hour of my departure from the Tracy Street location the Minirig would be moved to a “secret” location which would be the third location owned by J.Morgan"

3068  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Custom Case Design for Bitfury Miners --> Prototypes available soon! Order now on: August 06, 2013, 02:07:03 AM
I'm interested in acquiring one of these for an October order.

Have you settled on a final design ? I see according to the prototype photos, that the RasPi is directly attached to the M-Board, and not compatible with your case design.

I would be interested in a covered case, opposed to something exposed.
3069  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 06, 2013, 01:56:09 AM
I hope you realize this would be highly unfair to the other customers. "Unscrupulous" would be another word.

Given his prior shilling for America's Favorite Bitcoin ASIC Company, he's learned about being unscrupulous from some of the leaders in the industry !
3070  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DO NOT JOIN ANY GROUP BUY !! Beware Don't Join any Group Buy!! on: August 06, 2013, 12:26:55 AM
Welcome to my ignore list, FUD-spreader.

I've been quite happy with my involvement in AM-based group guys thus far.

Avalon, well, that's another story, I'm dubious of KNC delivering on time, and all signs point to BitFury being on schedule with product already hashing.
3071  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 05, 2013, 09:55:01 PM
i might be wrong in saying this, but does everyone whose ordering from bit fury basically does't believe that KNC miners are legitimate, as the 400g/h s kits is three times more expensive than the KNC miner Jupiter, which does 400 g/h, just a query, thats all
Did you check site for price and where did you see 3x price of Jupiter?

https://www.kncminer.com/products/jupiter

$7k USD for Jupiter @ 400gH/s vs $8k USD for Bitfury 400gH/s in October.

Dave is mining with Bitfury units right now. They exist, they work, and they are coming online for his 100TH mine.
3072  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 05, 2013, 09:18:49 PM
Order 512 submitted and paid for an October 400gH/s unit.

And so begins the waiting game again Wink The 100TH mine coming online was the final push needed to convince me to pick up a unit.

Good luck everyone !

3073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Yifu is the man! on: August 05, 2013, 07:41:07 PM

I'm sorry, but what are you insinuating with this image ? That haters are not allowed to hate the fact that deadlines have passed, and promises have been broken ?
3074  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Yifu is the man! on: August 05, 2013, 07:09:27 PM
Yes, YiFu is the man alright.  The man that appears to have, singlehandedly, ripped off BitCoinTalk group purchase members for millions of dollars, and seems to be in the process of destroying what little credibility BitSynCom has left...

 Amen Sad
3075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: August 05, 2013, 03:16:56 PM
Next release will have the fixed libusb in it (it seems a lot of OS have a bad libusb)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220905.msg2870499#msg2870499
Shouldn't be too far away ...

Kick-ass ! Looking forward to it.

 Cheers.
3076  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: August 05, 2013, 02:11:17 PM
With 3.1.1 you don't use Zadig for AMUs

Sorry for the slight derail, but have you gentlemen made any progress with the USB 3 issues in your latest-and-greatest ? I'm still using 3.1.1 for simplicity as I have USB 3 hubs galore under Windows  Undecided

3079  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 05, 2013, 01:45:28 PM
Right.. So how come our emails were answered within hours when taking orders. And now it takes ages for updates.. I think he should update at least once a week on this page, and the same with emails. But that's maybe just me. With 6.5 groupbuys he must have thousand, at least hundreds of clients interested in a status update at this point in time. (even if the status update is; there is no status update.) You can be as busy as you like. A Post update still takes less than 60 seconds.

Thanks for raising this point. I did not know he was not answering emails. That is troubling indeed if true. Perhaps a simple "I'm still here. Waiting on the Avalon chips to arrive. We are ready to go when they do get here. Nothing more to report." update would help quell some unrest.

Me, after what I went through with Butterfly Labs... this waiting game is a pleasant walk in the park relatively speaking.
