3061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.org hacked. on: September 24, 2021, 02:36:26 PM
Even I was surprise when I first got to know about it yesterday.
Looks like the site is back up and running now. It's quite astonishing to see the most trusted site bitcoin.org getting hacked like this.
It would be good to know how this site got hacked. What went wrong and how did they overcome this.
Although this information is sensitive, a little info on the cause could help us identify such threats in the future.
3062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 24, 2021, 02:24:29 PM
China declares all crypto-related transactions illegal and forbids overseas exchanges from serving its citizens.

The PBOC said all crypto-related transactions are not allowed under the law.
Activities considered illegal cover a range of operations, such as buying and selling virtual assets as a central counterparty, and providing intermediary or pricing services for crypto transactions. It also includes token issuance financing, crypto derivatives transactions, and other activities suspected of illegal sale of tokens.

"Those who carry out related illegal financial activities that constitute a crime shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law,"

China's market regulators and the Ministry of Public Security said cryptocurrency is "disrupting the economic and financial order, breeding illegal and criminal activities such as gambling, illegal fund-raising, fraud, pyramid schemes, and money laundering, and seriously endangering the safety of people's property."

How will this impact Bitcoin and other cryptoprojects?? What do you think guys?

Didn't China already banned cryptocurrencies few months ago ? What's different this time ?
This Country has repeatedly restricted the use of cryptocurrencies and it doesn't impact cryptocurrencies in the long term now.
From what I read on Cointelegraph an old announcement from China is getting viral on social media causing the sudden fall in bitcoin's price.
I think this is just temporary and in just a few days we will be able to see the bitcoin back above $45k range.
3063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka ( A state in India ) they introduced bill in assembly to ban o.gamblin on: September 23, 2021, 03:39:06 PM
https://www.google.com/amp/s/indianexpress.com/article/cities/bangalore/karnataka-government-bill-assembly-ban-online-gambling-7516048/lite/

Karnataka ( A state in India ) just introduced a bill in assembly to ban online gambling in the state which does mean that the players won't be able to use anything like that anymore. People will have maximum imprisonment UpTo 3 years or would have to pay 1 lac. Inr. Virtual currencies are also included in the same. It does not involve lottery or wagering, horse racing outside the state. For people who are addicted the punishment would increase every moment, it would start from a lower amount and lower imprisonment and increase tremendously for every next offence.

What do you think about it ?
( Players from Karnataka India, please do take a note of this and follow this news)

I didn't hear about this news until I saw this post so thanks for bringing this up. Although I am not from Karnataka but this does ring a bell.
Few points I would like to clarify are as follows

They have just tabled the bill for amendment and this does not mean that it will be approved.
The bill is only applicable for the State and not the whole country so it's not that big of a deal anyway.
The punishment starts from Rs. 10000 which is around  $133 or 6 months of imprisonment.

Just keep on spinning and you will get lucky. I don't think anybody already won 1 BTC or 0.15 ETH, otherwise this would already have been mentioned in a news flash or something similar. As Pawanjain, I already won a couple of times 1 TRX, 1XLM or 50 DOGE; it is not much but it is free money  Grin.

Yeah may be some day one of us here in the forum really gets lucky to win the big prize.

0.15 ETH I have seen recently. not 1btc though

For real ? Do you have any info about him like his username or something ?
When was it though ? It's rare to see someone winning the big prizes.
3065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 22, 2021, 04:34:15 PM
Hello everyone,

I am doing Trading since last 3 to 4 years And in this journey i have seen many updowns(profit and losses), But recently from few weeks i am loosing  my money continuously with the same strategy  i have been using since last 2 years. I don't know what happened to me. So please anyone can guide me through this situation, it will be very helpful for me.

Thank you.

The answer lies in your question. You said you are using the same strategy from the past 2 years.
What strategy works in a bull market might not work in a bear market and vice versa.
The same strategy won't work in all the market trends. As time goes by different players enter the market and so we have to keep changing our strategy if it isn't working for us.
Also, the past few weeks were not so good for the whole market since bitcoin kept falling from $50k to $40k.
So that may be another reason for your losses. You should never sell at a loss and keep holding to sustain your profits.
3066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I turn my $200 to $20000 on: September 22, 2021, 04:25:33 PM
The thing is that the crypto market is very volatile and when the market pumps it certainly give out profits to got in earlier.
This is when many people think they are good traders but the truth is that they have got the profits due to uptrend in the crypto prices.
Then when the down trend begins they realize that they are not so good at trading because they are unable to sustain their profits.
This has happened with many of us including myself. But OP I appreciate you to share your story and it's a good move to take out profits at the right time.
Withdrawing the $10k was the best thing you did. Learn more trading by studying the TA and then try different strategies again.
Never sell at a loss because the market always recovers. Keep investing but not in shitcoins.
3067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Do I Set Candlestick Pattern On Tradingview? on: September 22, 2021, 04:11:41 PM
I've been trying to set up a candlestick chart on Tradingview, it seems that I'm overlooking something. How is this done?

If you are absolutely new to tradingview then you can watch a basic tutorial on Youtube on how to use tradingview.
To setup candlestick chart you have to open any trading pair and on the topleft you can select the type of chart you want to use.

Forget about 1 BTC as reward for the free spin, what I am wondering is has anyone even got 0.15 ETH as a reward ?
I have been taking free spins but the maximum I have got is 1 XLM, 1TRX and 50 Doge.
Is there anyone in the BC.GAME history to win high rewards such as 0.15 ETH or 1 BTC

Looks like I've put a wrong prediction for the price of BTC, When BTC reached 50K beginning of this month, I believe in the end BTC will be in the range of 50K-55K, I bet at the price of 52-55K, but there were a lot of unexpected news as well as the market action in the last 2 weeks very hard to predict. Bet period is 2 days left, it's hard for BTC to return to that price, and look like BTC still have potential to going to 38K support

You have landed yourself in a tough spot by placing a bet for the range of $52k - $55k. But there's still around 32 hours left from now.
Just in case you want to add some satoshis to your betting then you can place another bet for a lower range.
I have always found BTC price prediction a little tough and so I place my bets on ETH price prediction.
There are some good ranges in ETH price prediction that we can place our bets on.
3070  Local / India / Re: Bhai kya bounties se regular income ho sakta hai ?? on: September 21, 2021, 02:36:54 PM
Hello indian community, mai ek private company me job karta tha but meri wo job chhuut gai hai or mujhe kuch income ki jarurat me. Kya yaha bounties join karke main thik thak kama sakta hu, mai article bhi likhta hu but  usme bhi regular work nahi milta ..please kuch guidance dedeo apne bhai ko

First things first, don't fall for bounties because most of the bounties these days are just shit and won't get you anything at the end.
You would probably waste your time in bounty hunting. Many of the bounties are scams anyway.

If you really want to earn in the crypto space then you must have a skill. Since you already have an experience in article writing you can post it as a service in the services board.
Keep checking the services board as people keep looking for article writers in that board.
You can also use platforms like Fiverr and Upwork to get article writing related jobs and ask the clients to pay you in cryptocurrency or fiat as per your choice.

Last time I cashed out my reward points was on June 15th. Today I am at 90,676 reward points. The time it takes me to reach 100k RP should be a little over 100 days.

That's quite fast, nice job! Such a quick rise again in RP due to the WOF; how many spins do you have daily? Are you also active on the gambling/betting part of the site?

I am getting 6 spins daily from being a premium member. I do gamble a little bit but my wagering volume is not very significant. One of the reasons why I was getting so many RP was from the deposit bonuses they had a few months ago where you would get 10 free spins per deposit.

That was quite expected. So you must be holding more than 5000 FUN tokens to receive 6 WoF spins everyday.
I wonder how much have you accumulated for your investment in FUN tokens.
Buying BTC for 100k RP would yield 0.001 BTC so that itself gets you around 50% of the investment approximately.
Seems like a good option have fun while investing and gambling on freebitco.in
3072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: September 20, 2021, 04:45:29 PM
My case is entirely different that i have not set any limits that i need this much profit or will invest till this time as my extra funds which were earlier wasted on junk food are now being diverted to it and i want to hold them for 3-4 years or more and have not any expectations due to which the fluctuations don't bother me.But always have your investment planned in best possible way so you don't face any financial problems.

That's a good strategy. Since you don't have any limits on profits or losses you now have a free mind.
A free mind is what is needed to hold patiently for a long term. Holding long term definitely gives profits.
So just by accumulating at regular intervals you are at a path of definite profits.

Even I am following the same path and accumulate whatever I can whenever I can.
I am holding for a long term and so far I have got decent returns on my investment.
3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 20, 2021, 04:26:35 PM
So often at times, we are always warned not to allow kids to get involved in gambling and one of the major reasons is that gambling is a highly addictive activity, but in recent times we see how young folks are making a positive impact and making money for themselves through the cryptocurrency space.
What is the best age a kid should get involve in online crypto gambling and what is your recommendation for that?

Everything has their own pros and cons and in gambling I think the cons outweigh the pros.
Gambling addiction is very bad and while the adults find it difficult to quit gambling it will become even harder for children to quit it.
Teenagers get influenced easily and I think it will become easier for scammers to target these underage teenagers to fall prey for their scams.
Teenagers don't earn enough money and if they get addicted to gambling at this stage then they might start stealing money for gambling.
These are just some of the negative scenarios and I think underage gambling will only have more of negative impacts on them.

That's indeed very quick. Gaining 100k RP in 100 days is a big deal unless you are holding many FUN tokens.
I am accumulating RP since inception of my freebitco.in account and it's been more than a year but I am still only at 35k RP.
So you must really be holding a large amount of FUN tokens and receiving many free WOF spins everyday to get that kind of rewards.
3075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC users actually care about privacy? on: September 20, 2021, 07:18:27 AM
I personally don't care about privacy as well because I am not doing anything wrong or illegal that I should worry of.
God, I'm getting so tired of seeing this argument parroted about on this forum.

There's nothing you want to keep private? You are that certain you aren't doing anything wrong? In that case you'll have absolutely no problem sharing your real name, links to all your social media profiles, and all your email addresses and their passwords so we can take a good look at all your communications and publicly share with your friends and relatives anything we find interesting. While you are at it, could you also share your entire browsing history, all your chat logs from Whatsapp/Telegram/Signal/Facebook Messenger/etc., your bank statements, your phone records, and a list of everything you've ever bought online. After all, you are not doing anything wrong so you don't care about privacy, right?

You are absolutely certain that in among all that information there is nothing your government or any other government which spies on people around the world (See 5-, 9-, 14-eyes for examples) might take an interest in? What about the next government in those countries? What about the governments in 40 years? You are absolutely certain that none of them will find nothing of interest in all your data?

If you give away your privacy, then you are resigning yourself to a life of servitude:

The context of privacy here is referred to BTC transactions. This does not mean I would give away my social media profiles, emails or passwords.
The pseudonymous nature of bitcoin makes BTC transactions private enough for me not to worry about adding extra privacy to it.
So by the phrase "don't care about privacy" I mean I don't have to add more privacy to make BTC transactions more secure or more private.
I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
3076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: He who have ears let him hear on: September 19, 2021, 01:38:07 PM
The thing is that many people are against giving out KYC details to these centralized exchanges and then end up in P2P trades.
P2P trades are good only if the buyer/seller is a genuine person. Otherwise it becomes a nightmare for the person.
People have to understand that they should either give out their KYC details to exchanges to trade BTC to fiat without any hassle or have some person for P2P who is known to them.
Otherwise the risk of getting scammed or getting the cops to your door is higher.

Besides that if cops get to your doors you will eventually have to give out your KYC details. So why not give them to exchanges instead and do the trade hassle free.
What's so wrong with KYC verification? I believe that only criminal minded people would want to hide their transactions online, it's why I feel like DeX exchanges are criminals haven, if you have nothing to hide you won't mind using any exchange available KYC or no KYC, I use binance exchange and I verified my KYC as I don't see any reason not to because I work for every penny I made

It's not really about hiding transactions on the internet but your safety on the internet as well as in the real world.
Giving out KYC details means giving away your personal details as well as the place where you live.
I have seen that KYC details are available for sale on the dark web such as the case of leaked Ledge Nano data.
Most of the people who bought Ledger Nano hardware wallet were receiving threats because their personal details were leaked.
So giving away KYC details does concern some people.
3077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC users actually care about privacy? on: September 19, 2021, 01:26:01 PM
Many BTC users these days are just here to make profits from trading or investments and don't really care about privacy.
Some people don't even know the what bitcoin acutally is and what it was created for.
The number of such people will just increase in future as many people will jump into the same boat and keep sailing for profits.
I personally don't care about privacy as well because I am not doing anything wrong or illegal that I should worry of.
Talking about theft or hacks, I have made a decent security but anything can be hacked and so we cannot really guarantee no stolen funds but still can secure our coins in the best way possible.
3078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 19, 2021, 01:12:28 PM
You must be feeling really happy right now for helping people get into the crypto community but I hope you have made them understand the basics.
Getting new people into crypto is good but it's our duty to make them understand the pros and cons of it as well.
The huge volatility and high price fluctuations followed by the long bull and bear markets and network congestions are things worth mentioning.
If you did that then well and good but if you didn't then you should let them know.
Also, tell them to keep reading about cryptocurrencies and stay up to date with the latest crypto news as well.
This will keep them updated, excited and will make them feel they are a part of the community.
3079  Other / Off-topic / Re: Up $175k on stake. Would like to spend/treat myself with BTC direct...any ideas? on: September 19, 2021, 12:39:27 PM
I've already bought 4 super rep watches from China for about $2,000 total all via BTC transactions...

I'm at a loss on how to spend more without converting to USD...best idea gets $20 in BTC

It's quite easy. Just go to marketplace board and make a post on whatever you want to buy.
Use a trusted escrow from the forum and someone who is interested would buy that product for you.
You can then send him the bitcoins via escrow.  You will get your product and the buyer will get his bitcoins.
Also, there are many websites which let's you travel with bitcoins, buy gift cards, buy products online etc..

Wow you're close to encash your reward points. How long did it takes before you reach that 94k rp? I only have over 2k rp and its been months since I started. I often get lottery tickets on my free spins and thats the reason why.

Even I am not very active on freebitco.in but I still use the free WoF spin everyday and one free spin everyday.
It's been few months down the line and I am holding 35.5k reward points as of now.
May be next year I might reach 100k or the year after that but we should never stop.
Some day we would definitely encash those precious RP.
