3081  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: July 21, 2017, 06:50:27 PM

I have questioned about the idea that God is one, and that every last anything in the universe is simply God, buzzing around, like some kind of a "Higgs Boson" particle, becoming whatever is necessary to exist at some point and time, and then moving on to the next point. This God-particle moving way faster than the speed of light cubed, is all that there is in the universe.

There is no electron. There is no proton. There is no energy. There is only God... a God particle... zipping around and zapping around, being whatever is necessary for whatever He/It wants to exist at any time and place in the universe. And we see it as a universe filled with time and material and physical laws and the various dimensions.

I don't know that I believe this. And my explanation is not sufficient. But I think about it.

God is one.

Cool

Hopefully we all are but the divided god, an Universe that is zero sum/loss.
3082  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 21, 2017, 06:07:04 PM
The world poverty is caused by governments and laws, therefore I have no idea how crypto currencies can end world poverty?

You can not eat crypto currencies and you can not live in it.
If bitcoin becomes a currency widely used by the people of one country then that country will enjoy prosperity because bitcoin will solve one of the biggest problems, bitcoin will not allow governments to print as much currency as they want, so they will have to be fiscally responsible.

They don't have the means to trade for it and are missing much of the infrastructure to make it work.

Money's worth isn't just about people recognizing it as such, there's the very real resources, manufacturing and services provided that are limited. Money ultimately facilitates the trade of these elements, the distribution of them.

Printing more money in itself is not necessarily bad, but too much can definitely be. Now, the problem with cryptos is that who's gonna stop people from replicating them. Not as limited as you thought now, eh? Also, one should mind that if it were just one of them it could still add to the inflation due to it not existing in a vacuum, they are attached to an existing system. Essentially also printing money as they gain value.

It's not really much of a problem if, say, diamonds cost a billion times more or whatever, because they don't have the liquid potential that crypto-currencies do. If the flood gates are opened they could bring some crazy hyperinflation that could be disastrous. See, cryptos, if mainstream, compete with currencies that stood alone within their national territories, you have effectively increased the amount of money, and probably slowed down productivity due to all the speculation. That means as a whole there would be more money to be traded against the same or less stuff than there was before.

One should remember that bitcoins and the other top alts, same as much of the wealth of the planet, is in very few people's hands. Great minds behind it, but I wonder if this was the right way to implement it and distribute it.

Without governments and laws, everyone would be fending for themselves, and unless you are a big fish in the vast ocean it might not be as great as you think. Even the concept of private property, never mind money being worth anything relies on the pacification brought by laws and enforcement. Or it would be the few elites and their private armies running the show and most everyone else as serfs. And sure, there's quite a bit of difference between one country's leadership and another.

It's pretty bad for most on this planet now, but it could certainly get much worse. To help people help themselves education is the way to go. Got to be capable of producing things, for there to be things to trade. The real wealth is, again, in the goods and services that someone needs to provide.

Let's hope I'm wrong, cause I'm a bit scared for the future of us all.
3083  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is real freedom in your view? Are you getting it? on: July 21, 2017, 05:26:50 PM
Freedom is only to be reached when one is complete. One becomes all. All become one. Sounds familliar?

But that might just be a larger cage.
3084  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teenagers high on weed lets guy drown to death and laughs about it on video on: July 21, 2017, 05:11:27 PM
What a pathetic argument to continue with the ban of marijuana? The guys laughed at the victim, because their upbringing was not good. Most probably these guys were born in brothels to unknown fathers. What they did had nothing to do with smoking weed. Even without weed, a lot of similar incidents have happened around the globe.

Similar and worse. A lot of humans are asses when they can.

Maybe ban cellphones, too? Just kidding.
3085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated: Guess who is Sicker? on: July 21, 2017, 04:47:29 PM
Vaccinations are there to give the appearance of healing, while making sicker in other ways.

While they can make you sick, like in my case, it's a very rare exception.

Vaccines don't heal, but try to prevent you from being infected by a particular strain. It's like teaching your immune system about a threat before it meets one in the wild.
3086  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: July 21, 2017, 04:40:30 PM
I believe that the death penalty should be for those who killed people, because the punishment in the form of prisons is too soft for them and many people are not afraid to kill others because they will not be sent to death.

Prisons are like hotels for hardcore criminals. If you want to punish them, then you need to send them to remote penal colonies (such as the gulags of the former USSR). But still, you need to make sure that the criminals have no chance of escape from these facilities. Hardcore felons such as rapists, pedophiles and murderers can be sent to these penal colonies.

I've read of people that get into prison on purpose in order to rank up in their organisation.

And about penal colonies, wasn't Australia one of them? That one seems to have turned out pretty well somehow.
3087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the Most Peaceful Countries? on: July 19, 2017, 10:48:58 PM
Probably, it is Israel and, you will be amazed, Kazakhstan. I used to live in KZ, when I was a teenager. It is a great country with some great people over there! Visit it, if you can!

The pictures I found do look awesome. Wish I can travel the world some day. Smiley
3088  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated: Guess who is Sicker? on: July 19, 2017, 10:22:46 PM
I have never been vaccinated - Always fit, and I rarely get sick; If I do, it's maybe getting a cold for 1-2 days because I did something stupid the day before

You are healthy, just because the people around you have been vaccinated. Else, diseases such as polio, measles, influenza, small pox.etc will reach epidemic proportions, and you will most probably lose your life to one of those illnesses.

Trouble with that theory (which is heavily promoted by the pharmacuitical industry) is that it doesn't seem to be occuring all that much in areas where vaccine coverage is limited or leaves out one of the dreaded scourges you've been worrying about.  Maybe you bought into a load of marketing bullshit.  Just a thought.

Did you ever think to worry about scarlet fever?  If not, why not?  I mean has at times in history been at 'epedemic proportions' and there never has been a vaccine for it.

There's just a lot of stuff out there against which vaccination either doesn't work, has low effectivity, or only lasts for a short period of time.

I think vaccination is still good for those diseases where it is really effective, for the well being of the greater population. Also, herd immunity helps those who can't get them themselves.

I'm saying it as someone who got their life ruined by vaccination. It's possibly hereditary too, but at least I didn't plan on having children anyway. It wasn't in a developed country, so I didn't even get compensation for that. You could say I won the wrong lottery. FML.
3089  Other / Meta / Re: Account Hacked on: July 19, 2017, 08:22:08 PM
Shouldn't you use PMs for this?

Good luck getting it back!
3090  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: July 19, 2017, 06:09:57 PM
World domination, powers and free meal!

Maybe, if there's no terrible side effects.  Grin

Some people that practiced cannibalism actually did it because they thought they could get powers from that, while others just enjoyed the taste of it..
3091  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: July 19, 2017, 06:01:59 PM
It does make it easier. It's a great way to hide assets and move them in secret. Wasn't it why the Chinese multi-billionaires got into it years ago?
3092  Economy / Economics / Re: Could a country survive and maintain economic stability if it phased out cash? on: July 19, 2017, 05:47:07 PM
For an advanced nation to change into fully digital wouldn't be too different than the way it is now. But to make the currency similar to the ones discussed here, it still wouldn't be smooth unless the government started a project of their own and progressively traded them against what they are currently using.

coinwarz.com has them all

Cool site. Too bad it doesn't go way back.
3094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 18, 2017, 06:45:03 PM

its lame though, living on bitcoin sucks. you will look back when the price rises, and realize you paid a 100 dollars for a tank of gas Sad

The odd situation where the high speculative value of many cryptos are also preventing them from fulfilling the role they were supposed to serve. I imagine the black market still actively uses it as currency even today, or have they shifted to some other coin.
3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decred - the ultimate decentralized currency or not? on: July 18, 2017, 05:35:25 PM
As someone clueless, I have to ask about what makes it really stand out?
