We will have 2 types of car as illustrated by Giorgio Piola this year:

Source: https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-monoposto-2022-aspettiamoci-due-filosofie-costruttive/7831710/

The car above is speculated to be the fasted type while the second draw should be for a slower car but easier to set it up.

Aston Martin for now should be the only known using the second type of car.

Hass in the 1st idea.

What other teams built the second type of car?  Just Aston Martin?  If they’re the only team that has done it, I wonder why take that gamble.  Slower at straights but better and slightly faster at corners?  They surely have the driver who has the style for it in Sebastian Vettel imho.

Anyway, we can’t read Italian, did that write up say the second type of car is surely slower and ‘wrong’ or is it all just guess work of journalists?  Cos we’ve also had our experiences with football journos and they’re mostly bs most of the time.

^  Yup and Alvey is now at 4.30.  It’s funny cos I don’t think Allen really looked all that good during the weigh ins.  The match is also gonna be at 205, a weight class higher than what Allen is used to.  Alvey has fought in both 185 and 205.  Allen also just got KO’d by Chris Curtis a couple of months back.  So all in all I like the line on Alvey.  It would’ve been nice if Stake had the KO prop for the match.  It’s at 7.00 - 7.55 according to Best Fight Odds.

Before voting I had a feeling most would be bearish. And when people are bearish and the chart looks very bad, usually the opposite will happen.

I really want to open a short here however with the massive bearish sentiment, negative funding rate, calls on CNBC for $10K Bitcoin, I am pretty sure $33K was the low and it’ll go up from here.

33k held but the real question is if the bounce from 33k the start of the trend up that would bring BTC up and break out to a new all time high or is it just a dead cat bounce that would take BTC to around 45k or 50k then go back to another draw down after that?  It’s a really hard question to answer.  And I really appreciate all the guys who chimed in and shared their thoughts.

But looking at the market now, I think we’ll be having a bit more bullish sentiment back.  It’s looking strong tbh.

I have a friend who’s a huge Fedor fan and he thinks Fedor is the best HW MMA fighter ever.  I tend to agree but how do we really know if he hadn’t fought the guys in the UFC?  Like Cain, JDS and whoever was at the top during their prime.
Fedor is a legend from another time with 40 pro wins in his MMA carrier, he was there fighting and kicking before UFC ever existed, it was Pride from Japan, and he still have one last farewell fight Smiley
I would agree that he is the best MMA heavyweight fighter in the world in his time, but this sport is changing all the time.

You know what happened with ex-UFC champion Demetrious Johnson when he moved from UFC to One Championship MMA?
He lost from Adriano Moraes who was never in UFC, and I can find more examples like that.

Yeah I know.  The guy I’m really interested in to see fight in the UFC is AJ McKee.  I think that guy is legit and could bang vs all the top 145’ers in the UFC.  I think Dana White should do some sort of trade like he did for Askren.  And do it asap!  Unlike with Askren, the UFC did it way too late and got the bum version.  Would’ve been nice to see Askren in his prime and fight in the UFC.  Poor guy...  Now he’s at the wrong end of the highlight reel.  Lol.
3086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 04, 2022, 03:48:24 PM
I don't think Whittaker can the "game of chess" too extremely, because he'll just be picked apart from a far. He needs to close the distance strategically, without actually getting clipped, which is easier said than done. However, if he can get close, and I imagine his threat of kicks will aid him into making Adensanya bite, he will have a outside chance of winning.

I'll be rooting for Izzy, however Whittaker is probably the only realistic option we have that's capable of beating Izzy when they're both having a good day. The chances are slim I'll admit, but the division likely becomes very stale without Whittaker at least threatening Izzy.

I'm hoping we get a few rounds before a finish, and see a real back, and forth fight which tests both fighters. I'm not sure what's left to do if Izzy wins again.

I love them both but leaning Adesanya.  I haven’t actually checked the lines tbh and I’m guessing Adesanya is prolly around 1.50 or something.  I’m feeling this rematch could be closer and should be lined closer.  I’d take a small stab at Whitaker if it  goes close to 3.00 just for line value.

Edit:  Took a peek.  Whitaker at 3.25 at Stake!  I’m taking that!

The next two main events are going to be great.  With Adesanya vs Whitaker, I don’t think we’ll be seeing the same type of match when Whitaker tried to make Gastelum’s style as some sort of blue print in beating Adesanya.  It think it’s going to be somewhat of a chess match.  We’ve seen both Adesanya do it before vs Yoel Romero and Whitaker vs Darren Till.  It could get boring for some people but dunno...  I think it’s going to be a tense 5 rounder for me.

For the event after 271, I just hope Fiziev worked on his gast tank.  We’ve seen him kinda slow down at R3.  Dos Anjos is no joke.

And thinking back about it, I think I’m going to be leaning on Strickland.  Not betting on it tho.  But Strickland isn’t somebody new in the UFC.  He has been with the UFC since 2014 and he’s 15 - 0 at 185.

I am not betting aswell, but my pick is Strickland, and he can not belittle his opponent, after all, Jack Hermansson is a beast on the ground.

Yup and there’s not much spots this weekend.  I like Phil Rowe at 1.75...  That’s about it.  Maybe I’ll take a shot at Harris at 2.85 and if I win that, take a shot at Maximov at 2.55.

Btw, Phil Hawes pulled out and Brendan Allen is in on 4 days short notice.  Sam Alvey at 4.10 could be a fun gamble.  Grin

^  Yeah Mercedes to be the favorite to win both championships is really expected.  But Ferrari having the car to go for second, not too sure with RBR def having the chance to compete for first.  I mean if it’s either Mercedes or Red Bull that go win the whole thing it means Ferrari just goes for third at best.  But the gap between who ever’s third and Merc - RBR could be way smaller because of the new specs.  So we’ll see...  I’m hoping for an interesting and surprising season...  With a twist.  But that’s too much to ask.  Lol.

Honestly, considering the fact that it was closer between RBR and Mercedes this year, and considering there will be new cars coming up next season if something unexpected happens, then this is the season for it. We still do not know what will happen, maybe Mercedes will still dominate because they have the engine for it and the engine is a major part of the deal, we all remember how Hamilton did when he had a small change in his engine, dude went from 20th to 1st in a weekend thanks to it. So I do not know if I would expect Mercedes to be worse. But with the new cars, we could expect others to get better and that could make things more interesting.

Maybe...  We’ll see.  All cars are starting their designs from scratch.  Gone are the days when some teams were using designs from the bigger teams of seasons prior.  Like Aston Martin’s 2021 car was a clone of Mercedes’ car of 2020 or was it 2019.  But you get the point.  This coming season everything is from scratch.  So if anything I think Red Bull could have the advantage.  They got the best car designer and engineer in Adrian Newey.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin is rumored to have a different style of his car and probably they did a wrong car.

I fear it could be Vettel’s last season at Aston Martin.  There are rumors swirling around that there would be up to 11 seats available after this season.  So Vettel could prolly take one of those seats.  Crossing my fingers for Williams.  I think they’re on the up with the new specs.

^  But keep in mind Inter has a tough set of fixtures going into their UCL match vs Liverpool.  Inter is going against AC Milan for a derby, a cup game vs Roma then another tough league game vs Napoli away.  And Inter can’t lose any points in both of these league games as there’s just a 4 point gap between them and Napoli and AC.

Liverpool on the other hand, league fixtures not too tough, cup game not too tough.  I’m not sure about injuries but they have good back up on the bench.  It is going to be in Milan tho but as far as advantages go, I’d lean LFC.

Can Frank Lampard help revive the failing career of Dele Alli? He was a Tottenham and England regular, playing excellent football but then something went wrong and his form dipped only to never recover. What do you think actually went wrong with Alli?

If I recall correctly his career went downhill around the same time his girlfriend dumped him in February last year because he was playing video games (mostly Fortnite) whenever he had free time instead of sharing quality time with her. In October last year it was reported Alli was dating Maria Guardiola (the daughter of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola) and now if he is happy with life maybe he will start focusing on football again and might maybe get back to being a world class player.

In other news, Mason Greenwood has been released by police on bail pending further investigations regarding sexual assault, rape, assault and threats to kill his ex-girlfriend.

He will not be allowed to return to Manchester United for training. Most of his teammates have unfollowed him on social media.

Alli, maybe.  I’m pretty sure Mourinho had something to do with his dip in confidence too when he had his stint as Tottenham manager.  He did it with a bunch of players.  One of the most high profile ones is KDB.  Mou caused KDB so much pain that he left for Germany, played for a couple of clubs there, did well and was acquired by City and he’s now Pep’s top guy.  Pogba could be another guy’s head that Mou he messed up.

As for Greenwood, dunno...  Could he be done at United?  I mean team mates unfollowing him?  But why?  Unless the club told them to.

I don’t think Mourinho impacted Alli because his form had already started to dip, and yes Mourinho didn’t try his best to revive his career but I don’t think Alli can entirely blame Mourinho, and I personally believe that it’s was his lack of confidence and poor attitude that’s let him down but let’s hope that things change for him at Everton.

Lastly I hate what’s happened to the girl, but before I blast Greenwood I need to be 100% sure he’s guilty, and call me old school but I believe he’ll be guilty when the court announces it, and I don’t believe the media or social media court verdict.

Yeah you’re right, Alli did already have a dip in form.  But just saying...  Mou also tends to dislike some personality types like KDB’s, who a lot of people have already seen that he had huge potential at Chelsea.

And I honestly didn’t look into what’s up with Greenwood until I read your reply.  I mean wow..  if he’s proven guilty of rape in court.  No bueno.  He’s def done for being a United player or possibly also done in football.  What a waste.

people are probably unfollowing you because they are seeing the repercussion of this case and they don't want to be associated with it. something normal in the society we have today, that means that people are judging and condemning him even before the case ends up in court. my question is:

how is his situation in manchester united?

ROFL!  Plot twist:  They were with Greenwood during the incident.  Cheesy

^  It would’ve been nice to see him go fight all the best UFC fighters during his prime just to see who’s the best.  I guess he fought some would be somewhat great UFC fighters at the time at Strike Force.  Fedor lost to Werdum, Big Foot Silva and Dan Henderson.  I guess it would be safe to say prime Cain Velasquez and prime JDS would’ve gotten some W’s vs him too?

It will be cool to see unification fghts from different promotions like UFC,  BELLATOR, EAGLE and the BARE Knuckles to see whos best of the best. Meaning Ngannou is not yet done, he has to fight the rest like Kongo or Moldavsky.  When it happens, by then there will be transparency to how the negotiation of money with Dana and to the fighters in Bellator.

Lol.  No question Ngannou would def murk both of those guys.  And anybody matched up with him should prolly ask for more money for the beating they’ll be getting.  Cheesy

I just want to share, after this UFC Fight Night Hermansson VS Strickland I was really shaking in excitement after seeing the next big fights in UFC, we got to see in

UFC 271

Israel Adesanya VS Robert Whittaker - I am for Israel Adesanya here from their last fight Adesanya won via KO punches, history may repeat itself but as Robert Whittaker is very confident in taking Adesanya again I think this could end in a decision with Israel Adesanya winning it,

Derrick Lewis VS Tai Tuivasa - after his loss to Ciryl Gane and a win against Chris Daukaus he will be pit against Tai Tuivasa I know Tuivasa is an underdog but men he is proven his worth but I really think that Derrick Lewis has more power than him so I would stick to the black beast.

Jared Cannonier VS Derek Brunson - This match is a great one to see I really think it could be a close match but I have high hopes for Jared Cannonier, even though Derek Brunson has a high experience, with the game.

UFC Fight Night Dos Anjos VS Fiziev

Rafael Dos Anjos VS Rafael Fiziev - I could be wrong here so I don't have any pick yet, but I like Rafael Dos Anjos, but Fiziev is a new great thing that needs to look out to,

Johnny Walker VS Jamahal Hill - I don't have the knowledge yet about Jamahal Hill but Johnny Walker is a great fighter to look out for, but just like the main event for this event I don't have a pick yet,

Chas Skelly VS Mark Striegl - This I think is based on my support, on my fellow countrymen, he doesn't have a great start on the UFC and he better watch out to Chas Skelly's ground game, more likely Skelly had a high percentage in winning this but I still got hope for my fellow Filipino Mark Striegl.

All picks are not final and I am posting this for my excitement to subside just a little because I really need to take this all out, as I have said all picks are not final and still doing a little research and pick may still change except for the Adesanya VS Whittaker fight.

And thinking back about it, I think I’m going to be leaning on Strickland.  Not betting on it tho.  But Strickland isn’t somebody new in the UFC.  He has been with the UFC since 2014 and he’s 15 - 0 at 185.
3093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: February 03, 2022, 06:57:06 AM
^  Rofl seriously?  How could you use boxing vs two washed MMA fighters, Askren and Woodley, as a metric?  But if we really want to use that as a metric then let’s get two old washed up MMA fighters from Bellator to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match too then.

And Cris Cyborg got starched by Nunes btw.

A top #10 fighter in the UFC like Corey Anderson can move to bellator and demolish everyone. As we have seen.

Are you saying that UFC fighters are better than Bellator? It is not always like that. For example former Bellator fighters like Alexander Volkov or Eddie Alvarez performed well among other fighters. Volkov is top5 in heavyweights, Alvarez was a lightweight champion. I could mention Michael Chandler, but he is not doing well in UFC (however he is top5 lightweight).

I would not say that UFC fighters would demolish Bellator fighters, I would rather say that top Bellator fighters are like average UFC fighter. Not a punching bag, and not a future champion.

Not always but mostly yes.  And it’s true.  I have a friend who’s a huge Fedor fan and he thinks Fedor is the best HW MMA fighter ever.  I tend to agree but how do we really know if he hadn’t fought the guys in the UFC?  Like Cain, JDS and whoever was at the top during their prime.

And for me mbappe made the right choice, every player will love to play for Real Madrid and I think he possesses what it takes to succeed over they, and to think that he didn’t even consider if Messi was in the same team as him he chose his path and that’s how it should be.
Yep. We must respect Mbappe's decision. As an individual, he must have a dream. Real Madrid is a club that always has a high target in each competition, including in UCL. And this club is an experienced team to win many prestigious trophies (titles), both in Spanish and in international competitions. It makes sense if each player wants to join Real Madrid. Anyway, he must be aware that he will be prioritized to be the key player in Real Madrid future. So, de doesn't want to miss this chance.
Whether Mbappe made the right choice, we will find out only after some time. However, despite the fact that everyone already supposedly knows Mbappe's entourage, they deny the very fact of making a decision, and therefore they will have to be content with speculation for now. I think more or less clarity will be officially introduced after the Champions League matches PSG and Real Madrid. By the way, the very presence in a club like Real Madrid does not mean the automatic conquest of all titles, let's remember how for more than ten years, or rather 12 years, the club could not win its tenth title in the European Champions Cup/Champions League.

Wait...  Is his move to Real Madrid confirmed?  A quick search says it’s all talks and hear say as of now and that some players find the wage deal kind of ridiculous.  I think it’s the football journos trying to get a better meal than quick cook ramen guys.  Lol.

And you’re right.  It def doesn’t mean cups right off the bat.  Everybody should remember the last two high profile signings of Bale and Hazard.  It could be a curse for Mbappe.

^ Let's just move on about the fighter payments because we can not do something about it Dana White is controlling it and if he wants to just give this small amount to his fighter then that is what is going to do because he owns UFC,

My Early Picks for the UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Strickland, Highlighted in gree are my picks

Jack Hermansson VS Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland has a good record than Hermansson, Strickland only lose to Santiago Ponzinibbio, Kamaru Usman, and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos but even though he lost to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos he won 5 consecutive wins but for me, Jack Hermansson has a game with his ground submission that may be caught Strickland by surprise but I think that Sean Strickland has a solid game with his striking, and Jack Hermansson is easily get pressured by those striking and he can have a great defensive takedown Stake odds 2.75 for Hermansson and 1.44 for Strickland, I am still not sure if Jack Hermansson can make a takedown because he can easily be pressured by his opponent striking so I think Sean Strickland can win this,

Hermansson is way more powerful than Strickland whichever it may be. From ground to boxing, he'll face it. Remember that its often the underdog that wins.  Grin

We cannot be quite certain if Jack Hermansson is more powerful or better than Sean Strickland, however, I agree that this might be another storyline in the UFC where someone with more experience is being underestimated again. We have witnessed this in the fights of Ngannou versus Gane, Kattar versus Chikadze and Lewis versus Daukas, Aldo versus Font, Teixeira versus Błachowicz and many others to mention hehehehe. I am for Jack Hermansson with high odds.

Yup I’ve been noticing the trend as of late too.  It’s like Mick Maynard and the guys in the UFC have been matching up these top prospects vs prospect killers...  I mean I’m a huge Chris Daukas guy and seeing him lose vs Lewis really easy made my heart sink a little.  Now I fear for my other favorite prospect, Rafael Fiziev.  He’s matched up vs Rafael Dos Santos in an event in a couple of weeks from now.  Cheesy  Sucks...

3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: February 01, 2022, 03:38:54 PM
Wtf are you guys saying?  Lol.  Continue to lose interest in ETH?  If anything, ETH’s staying power has been very impressive despite the high fees.  It’s still up there at second place at CMC, it’s still one of the most traded coins in the market, it still has the largest community of developers in the space and all that isn’t even done yet.  It’s all still growing.

But as a preference of which chain you should be using, if you’re a whale, sure go use L1.  Fees can get really pricey esp doing stuff like when swapping tokens.  It goes as high as 100 USD for a transaction.  If you’re not a whale, just use one of the L2’s.

The only reason why ETH is still on the top is because of its first mover advantage. Not to mention, it's the most decentralized smart contract platform in the world. If it wasn't because of this, Ethereum would've been doomed with the high fees and slow TX confirmation times. Remember, not everyone is a whale. The vast majority of ETH users are everyday people like you and me. High fees will surely prevent the average Joe from participating in "De-Fi". That's why competing chains are surging at a fast pace (even though they don't prioritize decentralized/security/reliability). We're going to have to see what happens after the launch of ETH 2.0.

Impressively, the Foundation removed any references to ETH 2.0. This might mean they're planning to delay the upgrade even further. Apparently the "Altair" upgrade phase went successful, so that's the only thing left before the mainnet goes full PoS. I wouldn't count on L2, simply because not many projects support them. This brings compatibility issues as we speak. Who knows what will be of ETH by the end of the year? Just my thoughts Grin

Then I guess being the first mover is enough to be on top.  I mean yes, the fees are high but the high fees is also a metric for high usage.  As long as they’re are high we know that interest in using the chain is def high too.  The moment the fees start going low, it should be a time when ETH maxis should start to get worried.

And L2’s is what ETH has for now to pay lower fees.  It’s better than nothing.  I’ve been doing swaps in Arbitrum at Sushi in Metamask.  It’s so easy.
3097  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for Feb on: February 01, 2022, 02:56:32 PM
For me in my personal opinion probably a start up of new bull run for this year since market is already showing green now for how many days and still stable everyday in my view as a day trader. I believe it's a sign that the market is regaining strength like what usually happens.. So let's just keep our finger crossed that it will keeps showing the same results everyday because for sure there well be a bull run again soon.

Care to put that in a vote in the poll?  Thanks.  A poll won’t really work if you don’t make a pick.  And in case you guys are wondering, I didn’t make a pick and vote.  I can’t express my own sentiment in my own poll.  Lol.  That would kinda beat the purpose as far as I’m concerned.

Keep the votes coming guys.

^  Is Julian Alvarez any good?  I’m not very optimistic about his chances at City after what we saw with Gabriel Jesus going to City straight from Brazil.  I mean there are players who made the transition to big European clubs and they got everything going right off the bat.  Players like Neymar and Ronaldinho...  The thing is they were already very good at South America.  I’m not sure with Alvarez if he’ll click well at City.  But for 18m EUR, I guess it’s worth it for a young prospect at this market.
Pep never disappoints because he only buys quality or potential talent and develops them into world-class players. He has a keen eye for good players who aren't overhyped and develops them into world-class players. I went to YouTube to see his videos after hearing the news, and I must say, I'm impressed, and €18 million is a steal.

Yeah but the EPL could be a huge jump for some of these talented players from South America.  I still haven’t forgotten when Pep and Txiki acquired Gabriel Jesus during a winter transfer to be the answer for Aguero’s waning performance.  He did do well but the next season he was just mostly a mediocre striker who wasn’t able to be the Aguero replacement that everybody had hoped.

But who knows...  He could be great for all we know.

I just noticed the thread.  It should be bumped more imo.  I think I should be more aware of what’s going on at the top of the Championship too and see see who gets promoted rather than just focusing on the EPL relegation scrap.  Cheesy  Maybe even get some side bets going.

Anyway, clubs I want to see go up are Blackburn Rovers, QPR and don’t really care for the third.  Would’ve loved to see Swansea back in the EPL but they’re near bottom.  :/

And if anybody has streams for this, pm them to me.  Thanks.

^  Depends which UFC event you’re talking about bud.  Smiley  But I do get it.  There are some events in the UFC that don’t deliver...  But there are events in Bellator that do suck too a lot of times.  And Bellator 273 was one of the best events Scott Coker had after a couple of so so events.

What made Bellator 273 special was the underdogs in main card winning their bouts.  Especially the Henderson win.  He fought in front of his home town, his family and friends.  He was considered washed by the books and most of the MMA community and expected him to lose vs one of Khabib’s proteges...  Nope.  So good.

Exactly! The UFC fluctuates a lot, think of it like crypto XD, it's very turbulent and the quality of an event varies drastically from one to another. It's mostly due to them actually having too many fighters on the rooster and then having to put multiple events just to accommodate those numbers. With Bellator, I see more consistency, but that consistency is on a lower level than UFCs. I am not sure if Bellator can overcome this, it seems to be bound with UFC in some odd way and I doubt it will ever have its own footing in the sport. But it's always good to have options, especially when you look at the talent in ONE and EAGLE FC (when they beef up the roster a bit).

Not really.  The UFC has been fairly consistent with their Fight Night events with some of those having a roster worthy to be a PPV event.  But the thing with the UFC is you get around two, three or four Fight Night events then a PPV card in between, the quality tends to go up then down to Fight Night quality.

I think a lot of the UFC FN events we’ve seen last year had higher quality than many Bellator events.  It’s just more exciting.  Match makers in the UFC are really good at their job.
