Vampires Smiley

Sparkly vampires, like the ones from Twilight. They have some sort of evil magic that makes me sick to my stomach if I see them.
3082  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Does anyone send Cash in the mail for Bitcoins... on: July 11, 2013, 08:56:46 PM
People have done it, sometimes it works, but not always a great idea. I would advise moving your thread to this section.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

I believe I've seen a few people buying/selling via mail order in the currency exchange section.
3083  Economy / Goods / Re: For Sale : 1960s Vintage Thai Bronze Flatware on: July 11, 2013, 06:41:32 PM
I would say yes. But you being a mod, you tell me.  Cheesy

Actually I just found this thread again by accident while looking through the old parts of the market section, and remembered that this is my set that I asked Mush to sell for me, because at the time of listing this, I didn't have much reputation here.

Although I didn't need to bring it back, I found it sentimental and couldn't help myself.
3084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Pools Shutting Down Withdraw Now on: July 11, 2013, 05:23:04 AM
Stickied for a day or two. I say thanks for at least trying to get people their coin balances back.

also, I edited the title of the thread to "withdraw now" instead of "withdraw no" typo I believe?
3085  Economy / Goods / Re: For Sale : 1960s Vintage Thai Bronze Flatware on: July 11, 2013, 04:47:21 AM
This isn't necroposting is it?
3086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cryptorig.com Custom GPU Mining Rigs on: July 10, 2013, 10:04:09 PM
I would like to make note, that a few days ago, I accidentally gave CryptoRig negative trust, based on an IP confirm that he was an Alt of a confirmed scammer. He brought it to my attention, and due to a cognative lapse, I labeled him instead of Crypto4rig

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=124037

Sorry about that Crypto, I hope that anyone who saw the negative trust sees this, and its cleared up.
3087  Other / Off-topic / Re: Desert Bus: The Very Worst Video Game Ever Created on: July 10, 2013, 07:51:10 PM
LIES! This is the best game ever made. I've spent probably a total of 15 hours playing this game. I tend to get bored after 3-4 hours though, so I never make it  Cry

Just because you aren't extreme enough to appreciate this game doesn't mean you have to talk badly about it.
3088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRC] Craftcoin - Portable Minecraft Game Currency w. Economy Plugin on: July 10, 2013, 06:29:13 PM
Block 9279 is the last block solved by the Craftcoin network. Took about 12 hours to go from 9278 to 9279.

Oh wow, alright time to get mining and see if we can hit that block.
3089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRC] Craftcoin - Portable Minecraft Game Currency w. Economy Plugin on: July 10, 2013, 06:16:44 PM
Anyone else having issues with their wallets being stuck on block 9279? My wallet won't sync up past the block.
3090  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dirty Stripper Mom Dances For Her kids on: July 10, 2013, 02:34:30 AM
Hey, wasn't Pirate40 from McKinney? I don't know if people are still hunting him down, or if he was arrested for something, but if not. START THE HUNT!
3091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 10, 2013, 01:54:14 AM
The primespersec measure is for fun only, it does not necessarily reflect true mining performance. The only accurate measure is block rate, that is, given a fixed difficulty how fast can you generate blocks. To measure this one can use a lower difficulty than the network difficulty.

bump

Yeah I just found that, thanks.
3092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 10, 2013, 01:44:27 AM
I've hit a few blocks so far, but when I use the getprimespersec command, it shows up as like 3-5 primes per sec. Pretty sure this is wrong, seeing as I'm using an 8350. That and that I've hit a fair number of blocks in the last few hours. Anyone else having issues like that?
3093  Other / Off-topic / Re: [FAIL CAPTAIN] Some Fun Facts About Smoothie the Troll on: July 08, 2013, 07:22:13 PM
I actually did send that PM, since the two of you guys decided to involve me in your quarrel. I'm not sure why it didn't send to you as well goat, in my outbox it says,
 "(No subject)
« Sent to: smoothie, ChangNoi on: July 07, 2013, 10:41:13 AM »"

Do keep in mind that thread was made in October of 2012, back then Smoothie had no other role in the community besides annoyance, so he didn't think twice about making... "questionable" posts. I think you two need to make up like big boys, and realize Smoothie was dumb in the past, (you can't argue that Smoothie) and Goat, you were an easy target for Smoothie's brand of comedy/self amusement.

Just to put things into Context, at the time, Smoothie made up like 80% of Alt Currency's reports (he doesn't touch .01% today) and wasn't October short before your break from the forums Goat?

Had this thread not been made in 2012, it would not be something that would be made again. I don't really want to see a fight between a Smoothie and a Goat, and I know the two of you at least fairly well, so left alone, this little back and forth thing will be quite drawn out, so for the love of yourselves and everyone who will be in the path of the dripping sticky mess, and the rampant eattings of a goat, please settle this.

I laughed at the bolded part.  Cheesy

I have no problem with Goat. It appears he has an issue with me. All I ask is he stop with his nit picking and flooding my thread with posts that derail my thread.

Also that he stop PMing me about that thread. He can post whatever he wants in my OLD thread, I could care less.

I'm a big boy so I can own up to my past. Goat, as Saltyspitoon as my witness, I sincerely apologize for my thread back then. Its up to you if you want to accept that. If not, not my problem.

Have a great day!  Grin Grin Grin

Noah Luis a.k.a. Smoothie

As I sent to you in PM to clarify, I know the two of you fairly well, and this will not EVER end if you two don't settle your differences. Smoothie, I like you, but you are an ass sometimes, more often in the past than present, but its the truth. If I was Goat, I'd be pissed off about that thread as well, so I don't have much difficulty seeing why this started up again. All of that aside, you two need to stop this, its going to be more work feuding than its worth, so all I know is, if you two want to continue bickering you can, but I'm out of it. I would suggest Smoothie, you give Goat a real apology for starting that thread in the first place, rather than starting your apology with "I have no problem with Goat. It appears he has an issue with me." and ending it with the insincere public announcement and sarcastic "Have a great day! *insert multiple emotes*"  and then Goat do the same for whatever Smoothie has a problem with you about, or, Goat you can apologize and then Smoothie, or even you could just not apologize and not speak to each other, however you want to do.  The two of you are adults so you don't need me telling you what to do, nor will I say that I care if you take my suggestion, just figure something out. Smoothie is a troll at heart, and Goat is stubborn as a goat, can either of you see this being resolved if one of you doesn't man up and clear it.
3094  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be Cautious of ► ► ► LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER LITECOINS! on: July 08, 2013, 05:00:06 AM

Goat purchased two coins from me, claims to have issues that I might scam, yet refuses to accept a refund. Actions speak louder.

Talk is cheap.  Smiley

I generally believe that Smoothie will deliver. Although, I'm sure he is aware, as well as just about everyone else, that if he was in it for the long con, this would be about the time to bail. Although, self interest kind of prevents him from doing so if he isn't lazy. With people throwing cash at him hand over fist, he stands to make a better profit off of premiums that he gets by legitimately selling batches of Physical LTC.

Always bet on self interest.
3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Koolio's Trolling and Harrassment on Btc-e, got to stop / POLL on: July 08, 2013, 02:15:00 AM
Again, the same thing could be said about 99% of the posts on this forum.... I know btce has nothing to do with this forum, but the fact 99% of us uses btce makes it related, what about cryptsy, coins-e, vircurex and all the other websites and forums people are promoting on here, they dont get taken off.... this post makes just as much sense as most of the others.

Very true, it was never a matter of, is the thread spam, and should it be deleted, it was a matter of, if you actually wanted some action to happen, perhaps you should try in another manner. If you are serious and completely frustrated by Koolio's moderating, try pming support. Believe it or not, I've been chat banned on BTC-E more than most, and I've had the occasional BS ban that I had reviewed, revoked, and the chat mod resigned rather than being fired.
3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Koolio's Trolling and Harrassment on Btc-e, got to stop / POLL on: July 08, 2013, 01:58:49 AM
Posting this here doesn't really do much either.

I like how Saltyspitoon put it, keep trollbox/btc-e drama on btc-e.com.

Thank you, yes I prefer to keep it this way. If you have a problem with Koolio on BTC-E, keep it on BTC-E. If you can't reach him, I suppose you could pm him here to get his attention, but making a thread is totally unnecessary. Ok, say you have 100,000 people vote yes in your poll, what happens next? Nothing what so ever, because BTC-E Isn't affiliated with the forums. If you want him to stop being a chat moderator take that up with support or dev, nothing that the mods and or admins here can do for you.
3097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: History of LiteCoin on: July 07, 2013, 04:28:18 AM
I would pm Coblee, I'm sure he still remembers the beginning of LTC better than anyone else.
3098  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be Cautious of ► ► ► LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER LITECOINS! on: July 06, 2013, 06:55:09 PM
Well, besides the fact that you have no real grounds for issuing a warning, this thread is better suited for scam accusations.
3099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0.00117999 BTC in 24hrs???? what am i doing wrong please help on: July 06, 2013, 12:05:36 AM
You never know though, if you are one of those lucky people, keep mining. I know of a guy who was just messing around solo mining BTC a few blocks before block halving, when the difficulty was still pretty high, and BTC were like $20-30 each, and he somehow hit a block with an A8 APU, probably about 100Mhash. I'm aware difficulty is higher now, but still possible I suppose.
3100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] new Altcointalk forum on: July 04, 2013, 02:58:37 AM
Best of luck to you, its getting way to crowded here.

thanks for your support Grin

just spent the last day finding and fixing potential security problems made sure its on a good sever with plenty of web space  Smiley

hopefully it helps keep bitcointalk more about bitcoins   Smiley

I will be dedicating up to 10h a day to moderate it and have up to 10 mods ready to help when needed next step is to make the basic forum guidelines  Smiley
( its not going to be a dictatorship but scamming will not be tolerated )

is there anyway you can think of to get the word out about it on this forum without spamming not trying to steel people from here  Smiley

Quite honestly, you are free to steal people from here, people are free to use Altcointalk, Bitcointalk, or both. Bitcointalk's infrastructure is not aimed at Alt Coins, so what we have now is the best its going to be. If you can offer a more organized better structured forum, all the better. Word of mouth tends to be the best method available, but perhaps you could mine up a few types of the million different coins that are coming out, and offer a coin or two of whatever you mine to those who join.

You better prepare yourself though, because with the many alt currencies, there are also many people fighting with other people over which they use, and which is a scam, and which they should or shouldn't use. It gets very tiring, pretty quickly, especially if you are trying not to be biassed toward any coin in particular. Especially when certain members give the coins they are fighting for a bad image. Maybe get one of those hippie yoga tape things where its just some guy in 1980s stretchy shiny clothing telling you to breathe deeply while meditating in the rainforest in front of a water fall. If you think that is oddly specific, well I can recommend you a few titles.
