What would be the advantage of this?

Ok right now as it is scaling is horrible in the bitcoind one way to over come this is horizontal scaling. One advantage is one bitcoind would handle all your non-wallet commands and one would keep all your funds (2 bitcoinds). Another reason is to get rid of the pressure of one wallet having all your addresses (multiple bitcoinds). Another is to keep your funds spread out. And of course the user case Vladimir which is one I haven't even thought of. As growth is happening, this is just going to be more of a issue to show up in discussions.
3082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Support bitcointip (at reddit) on: December 04, 2012, 06:04:52 AM
I disagree. It doesn't hurt Bitcoin - it simply doesn't help Bitcoin in that way. Are you suggesting that we don't want to introduce new users to Bitcoin? Judging by what I've being seeing for the last year and a half that is one of the main thrusts in this community. Everyone rejoices when more new users get exposed.

Absolute not we should never stop growth or exposer. I am just saying lets be a little bit smarter as to who we target, and lets get people who can really help the community. I don't know if you really look into the under belly of bitcoin, but we need more full nodes and we need more people that have the know how to run bleeding edge test builds for developers. Plus creative sites have really taken a nose dive.

IMO the Qt client will improve and one day be usable by newbies. Maybe some newbies will be willing to put up with it, but turning off new users because we demand they use that client is not beneficial to Bitcoin. Otherwise why do we bother developing all these alternatives?

But then post like that ruin the rep of bitcoin-qt and really hurt the network. Alternatives clients have there place, and ecosystem, soon growth will start hurting the network, unless we encourage newbies who know what is going on to make a smarter decisions. I am thinking long term not just today and tomorrow.
3083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Support bitcointip (at reddit) on: December 04, 2012, 05:04:26 AM
I think this was quite educational - for one thing, when promoting Bitcoin to newbies don't ask them to use the Qt client. Suggest blockchain or Electrum or similar so they don't get too hammered right up front.

You know that hurts the bitcoin network, we need more FULL NODES, hence why it is in beta, it isn't for people that don't understand why the use of it is so important. This is exactly why people shouldn't introduce people that don't understand the network and just want to dive in.
3084  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Building Armory on OSX on: December 04, 2012, 02:53:56 AM
ok that worked and just for anyone else it did keep my wallets in tack after I uninstalled and reinstalled, even thou I still backed them up before the process

3087  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need] 100 BTC loan, I defaulted with others - Will pay 10.5 btc monthly minimum on: December 03, 2012, 11:57:44 PM
If you get fired or died, i would still get the same amount of money, so i dont care.

And know this how? Oh yea cause I died LOL

Dont take your anger out on me because you got scammed so many times, i tried paying back which i could only do 30% of a payback.

Now you know how many people have scammed me? LMAO too bad trying doesn't pay the loan in full.

I dont care if you have websites, or if your rich, this is not about you, get over it.
Even they get rid of SSI so be it. Everyone in USA pays taxes, move out if you dont like it.

I am no rich I haven't said that but you attacked me and I defended myself with facts. I just hate SSI because it is a scam so your probably a conman anyway or someone that doesn't need it. Just cause you try and get a job and you fail we should feel sorry for you? NO get out there and get a real job, maybe web development isn't for you, anyone can work at Burger King or something like that, your not even trying and that bothers me.
3088  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need] 100 BTC loan, I defaulted with others - Will pay 10.5 btc monthly minimum on: December 03, 2012, 11:43:55 PM
Sorry that all people cant be perfect asshole like you.

I am not perfect, if I was perfect I be playing poker with Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerburg tossing $100 bills on the fire LMAO

I hope you get fired or cant work and suffer.

You better not hope so, who else will pay for your debt, I actually pay taxes so you better hope I have to work for a long time.

Its people like you who i dont even know make the world a bad place, you dont know me so shut the fuck up.

No I will not shut the F- up, I am paying for this debt as I live in NY also, so I am more entitled to talk then other people on this issue.

If i dont get the loan then o well i tried, bitcointalk is getting worse and worse, maybe i am not the best person to lend to which is why i required a 3rd party, but i guess you can invest with the next pirate - so good luck with that asshole.

I agree bitcointalk is becoming more toxic with people like you looking for hand outs. I can pay my debts, and I actually add to the community by building successful sites and businesses. Again SSI is corrupt and people like you take advantage, still never heard of someone not getting hired on esteem. I am no Brad Pitt, but I hope all my jobs have hired me based on my skill set then my charming looks.
3089  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need] 100 BTC loan, I defaulted with others - Will pay 10.5 btc monthly minimum on: December 03, 2012, 11:12:03 PM
I tried for a job interview on november 15 for a php scripting job, but i did so bad due to my low self esteem.
Its really hard living in new york and only getting $700 a month ssi.

Who hires on esteem? If you have the skills more than likely will get job.

I am so happy to see my taxes are going to pay for people's bitcoin loan debit, because people can't budget. I hope they remove SSI cause the system just gets abused by these people who can't manage money and then want a bailout, I hope no one gives it to this guy.

WOW who is the person that tipped someone in r/funny

dont know. lets give guerilla marketing a try...

funny.

try
technology

and stuff like that not r/funny waste of time
but guerrilla marketing is actually doing research on people who actually adopt and benefit then go after them not just spam it, that will turn people off.
3091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How many people run a cluster of bitcoinds? on: December 03, 2012, 09:53:47 PM
I am working on a new project, which is actually a pivot of an old project and I am curious as to how many people are running clusters of bitcoinds to get scalability they need.
3092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Support bitcointip (at reddit) on: December 03, 2012, 09:51:09 PM
WOW who is the person that tipped someone in r/funny WOW I think people who know nothing about PR shouldn't be doing PR for bitcoin, it just exploded in there face. Cause if your trying to spread it to other people why do it in a place that A) People aren't that geared towards learning about new things and B) half the people in r/funny wouldn't even know how to run the bitcoin wallet. This is another poor attempt at spreading the word of bitcoin.
3093  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do if you're crazy about a girl that has a boyfriend? on: December 03, 2012, 06:59:44 AM
I am going to give you the best advice, if your under the age of 30, just go have fun. Stuff like this falls into place, trust me, cause you will get her as a girlfriend and you will be like dam I should be at a club grind on some chick. Right now chicks all they care about is who can f-them as hard as possible. They don't understand who actually cares about them and who would treat them right, so unless your mandanigo, just get your $300 jeans, your collared shirt and you get on the dance floor and you find the shanks hoe you can and you f- her as hard as you can. That will get back to her and she will be like dam I messed up.

Like in Goodfellas, "I settle down every night, then in the morning I am back up."

Also trust me spiky hair gets you P so much P, trust me Wink Gel is a lot cheaper than dinners.

3095  Other / Off-topic / Re: Introduced bitcoin to a developer. on: December 03, 2012, 03:22:32 AM
I am a programmer and I am a "dreamer". So that is a very false statement and kinda insulting.

+1  Grin
A tissue for both of you for hurting your feelings. I guess you agree about not being able to tie your own shoelaces.  Wink

No feeling hurts here, just that it sounds like we are working monkeys, with no ideas.

and you will get the standard email back, that they are monitoring bitcoin but don't see it as a currency yet.
Well, so be it. For now. Big changes start with small steps.

Let's see how much longer they prefer to do without the TONS of extra donations they would receive upon openly accepting Bitcoin.

ok but many people have said this exact thing and they always get the same thing back, it is actually a dead horse that you trying to beat and it dumb. Accept that bitpay was nice to do an ad-hoc donation kinda of deal and that is the what will be for a while.
3099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Awareness on: December 02, 2012, 09:11:59 PM
In fact I just sent an email simply stating,

"I find you service invaluable and Please reconsider you current policy to accept Bitcoins.

and you will get the standard email back, that they are monitoring bitcoin but don't see it as a currency yet.

They will not accept so bitpay setup an ad-hoc money transfer.
