I'm not sure yet if it has already recovered, it only stayed $20k and it's not moving yet, I'm afraid that what we are seeing is just a bull trap. As of the moment, I'm still not convince that the bear market is already over, if it does recover, I believe it will not hold for long.

For now, that will remain a question until the announcer announces who will win the fight later but you might be right and the odds to win by decision are tasty too.

^^ I think it will back fire on Crawford if this fight will break down just because he wants more or at least 50/50. He is a good fighter no doubt, but his PPV numbers are not that good compare to Spence and he should accept that fact.
So we can say that Spence is the A-sde and could be dictating the terms. But that should be fine with Crawford. What is foremost is that this fight is going to be made without any manager excuses on the side of Crawford. Because that has been the sticking point ever since, Bob Arum doesn't want to deal or wont allow Crawford face a PBC fighter. That is eliminate since he is managing his own career now.
Spence has nothing to lose if Crawford will choose not to make this fight happen, both are still undefeated but based on the number of belts, Spence has an edge and most of his opponents are quality opponents compared to Crawford. That can be right as we don't know yet what would be Canelo's next move after he's finished with GGG but the way I see it, he will go for Bivol again to settle his score, he may be the challenger but he needs it to regain his name after that defeat. It cannot be denied that Canelo's name and hype has been affected after that so avoiding a rematch will not restore him as it will be clear that he can't go and defeat boxers in Light-heavyweight and Segey Kovalev will be his only trophy in the said division.
It is also possible that Canelo would try to redeem his honor and try to get back at Bivol. But the way I see it, that would be a futile plan. If I were Canelo, I'd rather face somebody who is much more popular and would be much more profitable to fight against but would be an easier opponent. Bivol was too huge and too strong for Canelo. I also thought that Canelo could handle him because he already had knocked out a man of a similar weight before. But then if we take a look at Kovalev and compare him to Bivol. Kovalev was on his way down when he was faced with Canelo. Bivol was still a young and undefeated fighter when he defeated Canelo. They were of the same age and on top of their careers. It is possible, yes, but I think we know Canelo enough that his motive in this industry was not to get an easy opponent even if it's profitable. I say he would go at his limit to have his own legacy and the money will follow anywhere he goes as any fight he would get will be full packed as well as PPV revenue's that he could make. Aside from Bivol being huge, he's more comfortable at his own division while Canelo was indeed struggling at that weight class. About their power, I'd say they're somehow equal and fair. Spence has the 3 belts (WBC, IBF, and WBA recently from defeating Ugas) so he has done more cleaning in this division than Crawford did because he only got the WBO belt since 2018.
That is because Terence Crawford never had a chance to compete with big names under Top Rank promotions which he always requested. Also, the fact that Spence is dodging Crawford because the latter thinks it's not worth his time. Spence on the other hand always got his preferred fight and make sure he will win all his title fights and that's what he is today claiming 3 Championship belts under WBC, IBF, and WBA as you have mentioned. In Terence Crawford's fight history, the expected fight against Spence will be the biggest fight in his career. If he was able to unify all the Welterweight titles beating Spence if ever, Crawford will now begin to move up weight to extend some good credentials on his career. He has lots of targets if successfully defeated Spence in the process. That's also why he decides to leave and didn't re-sign under the roof of the Top Rank Promotions after he fought and won against Shawn Porter. Bob Arum was just milking him too much without understanding his boxers as they too have boxers in my mind to help them in climbing the ladder. Now that he's a free agent, he can decide anything and will earn more without giving some cut to his promoters. Are there any updates about this fight? Hopefully, they can announce it before the end of June. Well that's what promoters did before Crawford, Bob Arum milk the hell out of Manny and when he lost, Manny has an excused not to sign with him. i am also not thinking that after fighting with ggg, his next aim is a rematch with bivol. i believe that was not on the table before. but we knew that he had a contract to fight GGG even before his bivol's fight. because their trilogy is like finishing the unfinished business.
as GGG is the underdog with this upcoming fight, it will be a good motivation for him to beat Canelo. also, he had seen the bivol's fight so he has idea on where to poke Canelo to beat him. the odds are good if some of you here are going for GGG.
As I previously posted, it was reported Canelo reached an agreement to fight Bivol plus two more fights in 2022 in exchange for $160 million. The fight against Bivol was already done and next on the line is GGG. I'm not sure who's the 3rd one and I doubt they can insert that fight until the end of the year. Maybe the best logical guess is after GGG, the third fight on Canelo's schedule on that $160M agreement will be on 1Q of 2023. After finishing that whole year's agreement, the rematch will Bivol will now take place although I doubt if Bivol will still accept the challenge of Canelo. It was Eddie Hearn advised as well that Canelo should skipped with the Bivol rematch and go with a trilogy with GGG. Maybe they think that Canelo's chances is higher since GGG is old enough and that Canelo will regain back his glory if he defeated his archfoe. And then go for Bivol rematch next year in May in Bivol is willing to give him the rematch. And it boils down to the offer, if they gave offer more than the first fight, maybe he is willing to give Canelo a rematch. Not sure how many fights did Canelo sign with Matchroom and Eddie Hearn, maybe 3-4 fights I reckon. So maybe it was a good advised to fight GGG first, the money is there and Canelo could have made more money than having a rematch fight with Bivol and the chance for him to lose back to back is high. Yes same here, I didn't even know that Dmitrii Bivol was this good because he managed to put Canelo Alvarez on his place. I know that Bivol is a champion but I don't watch the fights in this division but when I saw him fighting against Canelo and defeated him makes me see more fights in this division. Especially this Artur Beterbiev who have a 100% KO rate with the same nationality of Bivol.

But on the other hand he is really surprising because I know that he is definitely under pressure especially with his country's problems which are being discussed at that time but with his professionalism he can deal with this calmly and he won quite impressively in this fight. It's not about Bivol on not being superior, that is not on the table because it will be an understatement if he's nothing compared to Canelo, surely he have a shot and we know that he's more comfortable as it is his own division and he's the defending champion unlike Canelo who's just a challenger and he's not used in Bivol's division. We've talked about how would Bivol's response the fight if his country is at the state of war with Ukraine, but eventually, he overcome it and upset Canelo Alvarez even if he's the favorite and the champion is the underdog. |

And so this is the biggest fight in this division, since the Floyd vs Manny, but the circumstances are different. And perhaps this could be the biggest fight of the year in terms of PPV numbers and the money being generated, maybe close with GGG vs Canelo.
I'm not sure if it will be bigger than GGG vs Canelo fight, although this fight is way better than the latter, I think Canelo is very popular and could generate a lot of money for their fight. However, I believe it will still earn a decent revenue since Spence Jr. has a good number of PPV in his previous fights, and since it's an anticipated fight, that will surely improve. There's a possibility that Spence-Crawford will be the biggest fight of this year, sure the trilogy of Canelo-GGG is also worth to watch but the interest of the fans were much lesser as time passed by and it's quite too late for this fight to have but since it will happen this September then for sure there's still some decent revenue coming from this fight but I believe not as much from Spence-Crawford PPV's combined and this is also an anticipated fight. |

Canelo should show us a different him in this fight? Seriously against fighting with already closed to a retired boxer? Let's hope instead for a different Canelo once he faced the boxer in his own league, especially against Dmitry Bivol. This trilogy is just more of an entertainment. If Canelo will lose here, that's a disgrace. GGG still has the power but he is up against a prime boxer. The difference between them is large. It will be more pressure on Canelo to win the fight instead of GGG as the latter is already catching his father time. I definitely agree! It's not that Canelo should be prepare for his best because this might be a trilogy but this fight was already a little too late because GGG is near his retirement decision and this might be his last, win or lose, we don't know but either way, Canelo won't benefit much even if he win in this trilogy. There would be no hype in his name nor he can redeem his name after his loss because only Bivol is his way for redemption but the damage has been done even if he will win against Bivol in the rematch, whilst Bivol will be remembered as one of the few who managed to defeat Canelo. |

Magsayo has the advantage in terms of raw power but Vargas experience will give him a hard time landing that solid direct hit to bring down to canvas this Mexican fighter. This fight is very exciting to watch since both of them have a record to protect.
This is true, Magsayo has to learn how to do the right timing as he cannot just rely on his power all the time. There are technical boxers that are hard to beat, they are quick and very smart in the ring, so if Magsayo does not improve, he has no chance to win once the fight is decided by the judges. This is what I'm afraid of in this match, Vargas is very good on getting points while Magsayo wants a blow-by-blow fight which might be his weakness if Vargas gets an early score lead while Magsayo attempt to recover and start chasing his opponents until he gave some opening for Vargas to gave him one solid punch. Mexican boxers on Featherweight are very good at scoring-type games. The game will be in favor with Vargas if Magsaya don't manage to give him an early damage to slow him down. That's the weakness of Magsayo, he is not a complete fighter, he has the power but in terms of techniques, he is still not that good. Actually, I am seeing this fight as the biggest challenge of Magsayo so far in his boxing career, and I'm afraid he will lose if he will not make an adjustment. Perhaps it's an area that he needs to improved, he is under Freddy Roach so for sure he knows it and try to mitigate by teaching his pupil to improved. Manny was just like that in the beginning, all left. But Roach turns him into a beast, developing a lead right or right hook that knock down many of his opponents. So let's see if he can also developed and become a multi dimensional fighter in the process. He indeed needs some improvement but I bet he already have some experience from defeating Russell Jr. last January this year and that's the first time he was coached by Freddie Roach so I assume the coach really put some knowledge to his mind to excel in that fight. Though he's not that experienced but I'm sure as well that he can overcome this fight against Vargas. |
