A view: Trading high 6 figures of fiat (and those guys, together with the 7 figures players are the market makers, and not the Dwolla/LR users)

LR with 1.4  bil in 12 mil transactions per year was not a small player at all. 6 bil in transactions per last 5 years.

yeah and 6bil is  just US govt's claim. It could be more than that.

Is there a bitbar IRC channel?  I've been googling, and am having trouble finding one.

http://search.mibbit.com/networks/Rizon/%23bitbar00  Not sure
3087  Local / India / Re: More seizure news today on: May 30, 2013, 03:21:48 PM

This is actually bullish news for bitcoin Smiley

Also you will see effect more on BTC e in coming days. As BTC E was hugely dependent on LR and OkPay.

Cheers

That's true and Probably soon cash/bank/trade will be the only option to buy bitcoins.

Peoples don't want to use Paypal/Payza etc due to their currency exchange restrictions, chargeback and fraud payments.

3094  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk session management on: May 30, 2013, 11:21:55 AM
I remember that at my old job I checked "Forever" when logging in the first time.
I would like to destroy that session remotely from my Bitcointalk profile, so nobody can login from that computer anymore.

Is this possible?

Don't know much about SMF but in some forum softwares, if you change your password, session will get killed.

edit: Tysat ninja'ed me.  Cheesy
3095  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bringing Bitcoin to the world-competing with Western Union on: May 30, 2013, 10:39:20 AM
Do you have thousands of dollars to invest into all the "legal aspects" of "being a money exchanger/minter/handler"... Including international lawyers, getting FDIC insured for transfered funds, reporting and recording all user info of all transactions over $10,000 USD... Ability to handle losses and gains from exchanges delayed by time. And over-all losses due to theft/laundering, which will NOT be "returned" to you by any insured agency.

Just saying...

Might want to leave the "big jobs" to the "big investors", who have many people below them to "absorb the losses".

+1 Can't say better than that..
3096  Other / Meta / Re: Automated PGP PMs in forum on: May 30, 2013, 10:37:14 AM

No, don't do this. People who use the GPG system can handle the decryption of themselves offline.

Simply encrypting the message via JS is just ~3 lines of calling a premade library on the JS side, and a new DB column like the added Bitcoin addresses.

Then they can encrypt it themselves offline too, It takes less than 2 seconds to encrypt it using that site. what's the point of semi automatic pgp system. lazyness?  Angry
3097  Other / Meta / Re: Automated PGP PMs in forum on: May 30, 2013, 09:46:31 AM
It can't be done without a browser addon unless you want the forum to have your private key.

Forum can save public key and user needs to save private key in browser storage/file

Here is a example:  (Punbb.ru have done this on their forum)

http://prntscr.com/17dl6j
http://prntscr.com/17dl4u
http://prntscr.com/17dl9t
http://prntscr.com/17dljp

But yeah it will take alot time to code this kind of system.
