What you did is good. You are indeed too young to gamble. Although you can gamble after you turn 18 I think the legal age for gambling should be after you turn 21.
That's when we start to realize how important money is and how we should not spend more on gambling and stay in out limits.
Gambling addiction is very easy and if started at a young age like yours it can really cause bad affects on your life.
I am happy that you became aware soon and were able to stop gambling before it became too late.
I would encourage you to lead the example for other youngsters like you could follow.

Just because someone has a lot of tickets doesn't mean they will win (although it gives them a higher chance) and just because someone is new and has very little tickets doesn't mean that they will lose (although they have a small chance).
You're right that a large number of tickets does not guarantee a win. I do not doubt that there are whales with mln lottery tickets every round. However, such users have been unlucky lately because none of them have won anything in the lottery in the last few weeks.
^ Does not have any guarantee but it will increase or boost your chances of winning if you have 0.00001% chances of winning could be turned to 0.00002% if there are a lot of tickets you will buy. But possible, whales are everywhere, but I don't know how profitable if you are a whale in lottery gambling and how you can gain profit since there is no assurance that you will win. Nevertheless, lotteries as of now are not attractive to gamblers not unless if the winning jackpot prize becomes huge and everyone hoping to get it.

LOL, what difference would it make to turn the chances from 0.00001% to 0.00002%. We would still not win the lottery anyway.
I have never heard of lottery whales. Is it even true that lottery whales exist ?
May be some people are just very much interested in buying more lottery tickets but I don't thinks whales would buy lotteries in the hope of winning the lotteries.
The probability of winning are so slim in freebitco.in lotteries.
3083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GENERAL] How can you increase your account rank? on: September 17, 2021, 04:29:05 PM
To anyone that is into bitcointalk for a long time, what can you advice for new accounts that will be releasing "New Crypto Projects"

As we all know all new accounts created here are labeled as "NEWBIE" Is there a way to post announcement about our project even if you have the newbie rank?

Is there a way to increase one's account rank by talking to a moderator and providing the legitimacy of your project?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If the sole intention of yours is to create an announcement thread (ANN thread) then you can do it without any hassle.
You won't be able to attach images as a Newbie but you can buy the copper membership to remove that restriction and attach images.
Even if you don't buy a copper membership just keep making good posts and within a few months you will attain a Member rank which is the same as a Copper membership.
So that would improve your credibility and will gain you good attention to your project's ANN thread.

You don't need to have a higher rank just to prove your legitimacy. If you really are a genuine project then people will look into it for sure.
But if you are here to scam people then people will find it out eventually and you won't gain anything out of it.

I from freebitcoin accout withdrawal address is binance account. I can’t sign

We get that. However, as TheQuin already explained to you, it is impossible to comply with your request if you cannot prove that you are the rightful owner of the account.
2FA is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are.[source] So, it would make no sense for freebitco.in to remove it from your account just based on an email request. That would completely nullify its purpose.

Security measures exist for a reason, and any deviation from them would set a precedent that would jeopardize the security of all other user accounts. If you really lost your keys stored on your phone and haven't saved your 2FA backup, then signing a withdrawal address is the last option freebitco.in support can offer you.

That makes complete sense. At first I thought what would a person do if he has 2fa setup but don't have the private keys to the address.
In this case email can be used to recover the account but having 2fa setup was for a cause.
2fa has a higher priority over email verification and in Davidyyyyy's case he has no option but to lose the access to his account.
This is a solid reason why we should use our own addresses with our private keys and not use addresses on an exchange.

But already asked binance staff they can’t give me private key from my binance wallet

None of the exchange gives out the private keys. You should consider your account as lost.
Sorry for your loss brother. Keep a habit to use your own address with private key now onwards.

There are gamblers that are really aiming to be at the top of the leaderboards. But if you're good to just play and get some wins and doesn't have to go to the leaderboards, you only have to focus with your own stats even it's not going to be on the leaderboards as long as you get good ratio with wins than losses.
If you want to win, you can focus on your statistic and play seriously, but if your purpose is just to have fun, you do not need to focus on gambling games.
It is hard to be at the top of the leaderboards and not many gamblers can get their position.
So it is better just to enjoy the games.
I agree about this "enjoy" part. I mean surely if you have a bit of money than you can try your hardest to be at the top, but it will take a lot of wagering and if you are unlucky it will cost you a lot of money to be there. Why would you end up doing something that would hurt your finances just because you want to achieve a goal in a casino?

I would understand investing in a risky thing just because you want more money, but this is gambling and guaranteed profit, even the lowest cap gem in defi world is not guaranteed loss, most likely a loss but not guaranteed, here it is guaranteed. Which is why I fully agree with people should gamble for enjoyment and not for reaching the top.

I think you mean Gambling has a guaranteed loss which is correct because only a few people make profit in gambling and even that's temporary.
The rest of the times they end up in a loss. The only people making money are the casino owners.
This is why we should always consider the money we gamble with is already lost so that we can at least enjoy the games we are gambling.
The only reason we should gamble should be to enjoy the games and have fun while doing it.
3086  Local / India / Re: satoshis as reward points for fiat spendings on: September 17, 2021, 03:31:20 PM
To begin with, I am not promoting this platform but asking for opinions and reviews as to how good it can be.

I just came across this platform called GoSats which offers a debit card where the reward points are given in the form of Satoshis. I found this really exciting because getting satoshis for spending fiat sounds really cool to me.
Collecting those satoshis can someday become a big amount if we keep using the card. Also, when bitcoin price spikes up the value for these satoshis will increase as well.
Most of us here use debit or credit cards and we get reward points which we even forget sometimes. I am not really sure if this is a genuine platform or a scam.
But if this was genuine product I would certainly like to get my hands on this card. What do you guys think ?

The website is https://gosats.io/

Check it out and let me know your thoughts about it. I wish many such startups establish a wider crypto adoption in India.

I have been using this platform since last year. I did a couple of purchases using their app on Flipkart. Depending on the e-commerce website that you use you are paid a certain percentage of satoshi back in your account. It might take a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 90 days for them to verify the purchase and pay you in satoshi. I really liked the concept and I did create a topic about this platform here.

Check it out - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328618.msg56717350#msg56717350

Wow, that's amazing. Good to see that the site is still functioning as well as paying Satoshis to it's users.
Can you let us know if the free spin feature is working as of now ?
Also, would you recommend this to other users?
Is it worthy to spend 500 for this card and make purchases through this card ?
I like the idea of this card and wanted to know it's really worth it or just a waste of time.

On the app, I do not see the spin feature anymore. I think they have removed it and might add it in the future. I would not recommend yet going for the paid debit card. They have a free debit card, which you can apply but it has a waiting period. In the meantime, you can download their app and use it make purchase.

I am not able to see any free debit card on their website. They just have two cards. Intro and Elite.
Both the cards are paid cards. The intro card has a one time charge with the price of INR 499 whereas the Elite card is INR 1499 per year.
If you have a link or something for the free card then do share the link.
Also, I saw the app on playstore and noticed that it has a referral system as well. Just in case you want a referral you can shoot me a PM with the referral link.
3087  Economy / Exchanges / Re: He who have ears let him hear on: September 16, 2021, 05:24:45 PM
The thing is that many people are against giving out KYC details to these centralized exchanges and then end up in P2P trades.
P2P trades are good only if the buyer/seller is a genuine person. Otherwise it becomes a nightmare for the person.
People have to understand that they should either give out their KYC details to exchanges to trade BTC to fiat without any hassle or have some person for P2P who is known to them.
Otherwise the risk of getting scammed or getting the cops to your door is higher.

Besides that if cops get to your doors you will eventually have to give out your KYC details. So why not give them to exchanges instead and do the trade hassle free.
3088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if I don't know how to trade on: September 16, 2021, 05:15:30 PM
Sometimes when I scroll through the forum threads, I'm always amazed to see questions like; Can someone teach me how to trade? Where can I learn how to trade? How can I use indicator to trade? You know what? These questions always get what they deserves. The right answers always pop-up on the table for everyone to learn from different perspectives. Bitcontalk.org is a great library of information from substantial sources, so don't mess with it!

How can I learn how to trade? This is a question every had been asked from one time to another, from one person to another without paying much attention to what it would take to be a trader or one losing trades. Trading is just like a game of thrones. The tough will end up getting the balls rolling when the weak might have left the track due to inconsistency, fear, ignorance, weak strategies, weak risk management and greed.

You can either get trading skills here on the forum by asking questions and getting answers or attaching your time with sites/platforms that give trading lecturers, be it online or physical classes.

Are you going into trading for the money or for the knowledge?
Don't be too faster than your shadow, trading is not meant for the lazy. Don't think immediately you get into trading, you'll making money, cos time is necessarily important to gain mastery. The great traders who are making great profits from trading had already sow the seed and now reaping their harvest so let's be patient. Don't rush cos slow and steady wins the race..."Power of consistency" with brain not just working blindly.

Get the skill before going for the money. More money is the goal but a sacrifice has to made. We need to learn thoroughly become dexterously brilliant to analyze the market. Do fool yourself with greed or over curiosity cos it might lead to confusion not necessarily becoming a short term deficiency but a continuous defect that can relinquish our faculty of the market.

Greed always comes in the way while making money and most of the times it takes away the profit we made.
Even I have seen many people asking how to trade and my first advice to them is always to learn and get the basics right.
Learning is the only way to progress and know how to trade and when to trade.
Also, the most important thing when trading is to learn from the mistakes and not to repeat the mistakes.

A pro can really make money from gambling but they are also getting lost like others but well, they have more control than the others so they can come back to the gambling the next day and recover their losses.
Actually, you can use your free time to do other things instead of playing gambling because that will be worth it for you to prevent the loss from gambling.
But once we know to gamble, the curiosity will come to us even we break for some days.

How many pros are out there that can really make a living from gambling? I do believe there are players that can make a profit out of sportsbetting (if you really follow certain sports), but from playing casino games it is different as it is 99% based on luck. I have yet to find a strategy that always wins lol.

Sportsbetting is a skill based gambling which is why it is relatively easier for people to make money in it.
Many casino games are luck based which is why it becomes harder to win since our luck doesn't always shine.
But it doesn't mean that we cannot make more money in casino games.
But there are also other casino games which are skill based such as poker in which many people do make money.
You just have to be better than your opponent to win the game.

Because I deposit to this address buy bought fun token I never withdraw any amount from freebitcoin account

The thing is that there must be a withdrawal address (your public address) in your freebitco.in account which you should use to sign a message to prove that it's your account.
But I guess you don't know what withdrawal address you had in the freebitco.in account.
If you have know the withdrawal address then you must have it's private key as well to sign a message.
If your withdrawal address is a binance address then there's nothing you can do because you won't be able to sign a message.
In that case you should consider your funds as lost since you won't be able to login to freebitco.in.

In case you have your email account which you linked to your freebitco.in account then may be you can try logging in with your email.

No wonder an insider trading case for NFT popped up. I heard something similar in the Solana NFTs too where someone was buying all rare NFTs in popular NFT projects.
People were getting mad at him because he was able to buy rare NFTs in multiple projects.
This seems similar and I think it's quite stupid for people like us to pay such huge amounts and get into the hassle of buying NFTs among such large population while these people are getting the rare NFTs just like that.
This doesn't look fair at all and this might end the NFT craze as well if it keeps going on like this where a few people gets all the rare NFTs.
3093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs for physical assets - the future of NFTs?? on: September 15, 2021, 04:09:59 PM
Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I’ve been lurking on Twitter and honestly I can’t get with the whole NFT thing. What about guys? This feels like the ICO phase back in 2017-2018.

The closest I’ve gotten to getting into NFTs is through companies like 4K where you can essentially physically-back NFTs with physical goods like expensive watches or shoes. Thought this was a novel concept and really seems like it’s going to be the next phase of NFTs. Anyone heard of them? Are there other companies working on similar things?

How I heard about them: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/07/20/rolexes-in-defi-nft-marketplace-4k-raises-3m-to-combine-nfts-and-luxury-goods/

Even I think that the current NFT craze is just like the ICO hype from 2017 but at the same time I find the concept really amusing.
Having the ownership of something and proving it on the internet over blockchain sounds kinda cool.
But people are just using it to gain profits by flipping digital art drawings. I don't think it has any usecase and actually looks kind of stupid to pay thousands of dollars for a drawing.
The future might have something more interesting for NFTs but digital art drawings is not something I would put my money in.
3094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: September 15, 2021, 04:03:46 PM
Solana is a new promising altcoin that surpassed dogecoin to be ranked up to seventh place on CMC. And based on its price last August 15 2021 it is only 44$ and now its current price is 157$ based on that super Sonic price movement from 44$ to 157$ for just one months, I think Solana is good for short term investment, what would be your insights about this guys. Good for long term or short term investment?

You will get all types of suggestions for the question you have asked and honestly none of those suggestions really matter.
It's you who has to decide how you want to proceed with your portfolio because it's your coins and you shouldn't regret later because of someone else's decisions for you.
Solana is a potential coin but it has been highly pumped recently. This doesn't mean it won't pump more or fall down but you just have to acknowledge this fact before taking your decision.
What goes up also comes down and may be since Solana has pumped up it might face a minor correction as well.
I have a bag of Solana and I am in it for a long term because I believe in the project and I think it will be a very good long term investment.
If you are still confused whether to buy SOL now or not then you can also DCA (Dollar Cost Average) by buying some coins now and keep buying at frequent intervals to average out the buying price.
Selling BTC or ETH should again be your choice and I would recommend not to sell them because diversification is a good strategy.
Try to put in new money into SOL and DCA to have a good average buying price.
3095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: G A M B L E R S ❗❗ What are your thoughts on this? on: September 15, 2021, 03:53:22 PM
Obviously many people here would choose the option B because playing against human is more fun than playing against a machine.
Also, the house edge always favors the casino and so we can never win frequently or stay in profits for a long time when playing against the casino.
On the other hand in the skill based games, the game can be in our favor if our skills are better than the opponent.
3096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling awareness for adolescents on: September 15, 2021, 03:46:21 PM
Quote
UK charity Gambling with Lives has created what it describes as “a ground-breaking new youth education programme”.

The programme is aimed at preventing gambling harm in young people and will be piloted at schools in Essex, Manchester and Northern Ireland.

According to a press release published by the group, it aims to influence the way gambling awareness education is delivered to young people and address the lack of information and help currently available.

Speaking about the programme, James Grimes, Head of Education at Gambling with Lives, said: “What makes this programme unique is that it includes the role of addictive products and predatory marketing in causing harm.

Apparently there is going to be a new education program for youths which would teach them about gambling, it would be not only unbiased but evidence based as well, they are going to put roles out in the open regarding the predatory market and how it's influencing the adolescents at this moment, I do think that this might be really helpful for certain cases because they are not shoo-in things away but rather teaching adolescents and talking about their issues.

What do you think about this initiative??
https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/13127/gambling-with-lives-launches-new-gambling-education-programme

What if it does more harm than good and actually provokes children to try gambling ?
Although the probability might be less since it would be taught as a subject or general awareness kind of thing but there have been cases where a particular awareness program actually stimulated people to do that particular thing.
But anyway, until the awareness is given in a positive way I think it's actually good to teach about the negative impacts of gambling to people.
At least gamblers would then not blame that they didn't know the impacts of gambling.
3097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm back into Bitcoin! on: September 14, 2021, 02:28:25 PM
Damn, that's amazing. I wish I could wake up with 2.49 BTC as well  Grin  Unfortunately I didn't know about bitcoin back then.
It's good that you did not permanently deleted the wallet.dat file and were able to recover the bitcoins successfully.
As others have already mentioned the best thing to do would be to transfer those bitcoins to a hardware wallet but make sure you buy it from the official platforms only.
Check the website multiple times before placing an order for the hardware wallet and do reset the keys upon using your new hardware wallet.
Also, keep a backup of the keys by noting it down on a paper or something and store in a secure place.
Good luck with those precious bitcoins and use them wisely.
3098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LOOK: Biggest financial institution in El Salvador embraces Bitcoin? on: September 14, 2021, 02:11:02 PM
The Biggest bank in El Salvador the Bancoagricola bank, now accepting bitcoin to payments. Also according to the news, the bank has been one of the first to implement bitcoin to support for it's financial instruments(loans, mortgages, credit card debt).

Statement of the Carlos Mauricio Novoa, COO of Bancoagricola :
"We are excited to be the first financial institution in El Salvador to enable bitcoin access for our customers across our entire suite of financial products and to enhance financial inclusion."

My god, El Salvador is doing it, now that one of the country's biggest institution implement bitcoin as payments, other cryptocurrencies will widely spread and might be accepted for payment too, not just the Bancoagricola bank but also other companies and small stores, what do you guys think?  Shocked

Now that bitcoin is a legal tender in El Salvador we can only imagine how many other companies/banks/startups/merchants will start accepting and using bitcoin as payments.
The thing to consider here is that will El Salvador slowly start accepting other cryptocurrencies as well or will just stick to bitcoin.
Because right now the fees are still comparatively low but the real problems will arise when the bitcoin network is congested and the transaction fees increases.
I think when this happens, it will open a door for El Salvador to accept other cryptocurrencies as a legal tender too.
3099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 13, 2021, 02:25:59 PM
As the market is volatile and very technical, does it take full time to become successful in trading? or can some trade part time and still make real profit from the market?

Full time or part time and long term or short term there are traders who make profits in all the categories and I must say thay not only profits but also losses.
It takes time and experience to be a professional in any category and it is not necessary for you to leave your job current job and become a full time trader to get more profits.
Although you will be able to learn more in full time trading you can very well make profits in part time as well as trading just on occasions.
Many people also do swing trading where they buy/sell once and wait for a few weeks/months to execute the next order.
3100  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Dust Address Made Simple on: September 13, 2021, 08:18:16 AM
As expected the address has 0 satoshis in it which shows that people have become a more aware of things in the crypto space.
I see a bitcoin address which someone says is a dust address but unable to prove if it's actually a dust address.
How will we know if you or someone else doesn't hold the private key to this address. What if you have the private key to this address and someday you decide to spend all the coins in this address.
I think what ranochigo said makes more sense if you want to spend your coins as dust instead of simply sending it to some random bitcoin address.
