3081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: December 12, 2017, 10:18:20 PM
Are we saying the new UI and lite version is possibly out this month?

Also It is very strange that only 25k -35k is even left for sale? that is 5 to 7 masternodes?

Is this right I mean people are holding on to this tight. The order books on the sale side are  tiny.

It would be nicer to get more frequent updates  but then again if it really comes out fully functional looking as good as those pics and with the light version too it will be a nice big shock to crypto.

3082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! | 2017 Road-Map PUBLISHED! on: December 12, 2017, 10:11:20 PM
Morning all

As the snow falls here in England I was clearing out some old documents and I came across the following I (believe) I posted a while back - possibly as a PM, its still relevant and certainly something I would like to see added to the CBX roadmap - so here it is again, open for discussion:

Quote
There is a fair amount of ‘super wallet anxiety’ in the crypto world, the issue being amplified when dealing with a coin with a limited supply (such as CBX) as at any time (most likely when the price starts to rise) a super wallet owner could dump their collection on an exchange and walk off with everyone's money, crashing the price in the process. I would like to believe that the majority of CBX holders at this point are in it for the long haul, the trouble is there is no way (currently) of knowing what a super wallet owner is planning to do in the future...

To solve this I would like to propose the addition of a publicly verifiable (block-chain based) voluntary fund locking mechanism for individual wallet addresses. The idea being that someone who has a large (or small) collection of coins can selectively ‘time lock’ a portion of their total wallet’s contents for a defined period of time; the amount chosen is then totally un-spendable until the period chosen by the user expires. This period could be weeks, months or even years but provides a literally unbreakable public, verifiable contract that n coins cannot be moved for x time. New coins can be still be transferred into this ‘locked’ address but not removed - providing a secure ‘savings’ account that can still accumulate the 2% interest but not be moved or spent.

The key to all of of this is making it publicly verifiable on the block chain, so if you were a new investor in CBX you would look at the total supply but also (crucially) you would look at the total supply that was still liquid/unlocked. If you are a super wallet holder (lucky you!) you could lock your coins away for a set period to encourage investment by others and perhaps even get a slightly higher rate of interest on the locked coins than on free floating ones.

Apologies if you have seen this before BUT as I say I still think it could go a long way to alleviating super wallet anxiety if and when CBX is considered a long term / stable commodity that other might choose to invest in Smiley

FR

does this mean that when we start a masternode for cbx, like power up of steam dollars, and when we want to release from the masternode need to power down, time frame like in steemit also

I don't think the answer is forceable lock down of coins. I think the answer is increasing incentive to accumulate and hold and punishments for rapid dumping. I have already posted some nice ideas that I know some other huge projects are working on too. If we could implement these then we would be top 100 bound very quickly.

sorry i might have miss your post but is it possible to give a link so that i can have a read what your ideas are , thanks  a bullion for the ideas

Well I didn't post them on the thread. I posted them directly to the devs since you know its cool if cbx could start developing them before others get the ideas. I only know that some other huge projects are working on similar things because the dev actually PM me to say he was doing so. That project is going to be a top 10 project at some point i have no doubt.

3085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Litecoin rise so fast? on: December 12, 2017, 08:43:22 PM
has been far far higher in relation to btc before  ..... is btc really better ?
3086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why litecoin is going up so high? on: December 12, 2017, 08:37:22 PM
is charlie lee a bit weird... i mean he waits years for his baby to pump and get some recognition but straight away is trying to shoot it down.... is there some strange reasoning behind this or just being super responsible?

why when crypto is just going mainstream and getting legitimised would their suddenly be a huge years of bear markets?

I mean barring a black swan event I see no good reason for a limited supply token like btc with increasing interest to not keep rising?

The rising prices and acceptance brings people to crypto and they see other projects like ltc..... supply and demand.

3087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ALTS are the NEXT BIG THING? Add your Valid suggestion here now >>>>> POLL on: December 12, 2017, 08:35:42 PM
I can't stress enough to posters on this thread please follow the format in the OP and the same others have done whom have had their suggested project to the OP

we can not add it unless the criteria in the op is met so we need an explanation for all 4 critical points.

but thanks for the continued discussion and suggestions.
3088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why litecoin is going up so high? on: December 12, 2017, 06:40:13 PM
used to be higher in relation to btc so could go higher...

what does btc do better than ltc?

Perhaps it should be 0.25 after all.

Bitcoin will be the first next big thing ~ Alt coins , Is there a need for them?

A good question but if you have used bitcoin lately you will see there is a great need as of now.

Many see btc being the gold - the storage of wealth on the block chain and not really of use to buy a coffee or even a coffee and a bun together.

Honing block chain for specific use cases is where alts come in.

For example dentralised trustless exchanges of both CC and physical goods are where bitbay, blocknet and others come in.

DAG with byteball promises great scaling potential

Others are for other specific uses although not essential to complete the trustless decentralised evironment we are pursuing but still important to the people that support those communitys and specific use cases.

That's my opinion others have their own.

I mean these things may all eventually be achievable with btc and mods/additions but it could be years if ever.

What makes BTC worth more? its security (is it more secure really though with some pools able to 51% if they really wanted to) or its fame and adoption and just general belief it it. Maybe btc will one day be the ALT.

But i agree that days seems a long way off whilst BTC is the base currency in exchanges and so well adopted.

Maybe others can give you a better answer

3093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP !!! Is boolberry back? i need to transfer coins on: December 12, 2017, 02:31:25 PM
send 1 or 2 coins as a test

but the ticker name difference should make no difference.

3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin to the moon? on: December 12, 2017, 02:26:10 PM
a year ago or more a saw a post about a billionaire going heavily into ltc

the pics looked like he was converting some huge car park to house his asic farm

Also bringing his network into ltc

ltc is far more suitable right now for mass adoption than btc

I sold for 100 thinking it was great after holding since 1-2 dollars

Now as always remorse at selling Smiley

Hopefully though it can hit 1 k always liked it and gave a ton more people chance to mine easily than btc did.

IF doge goes parabolic next you can see investors are looking at POW fairly mined and distributed alternatives to btc

they know other distributional methods leave them open for too much manipulation

I'm watching doge to see where the money funnels too next

Where to buy good LTC mining gear now for immediate delivery??
3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BEE2] [BEECOIN V2] POW X11/POS Hybrid - Now With CLIENT CHAT Feature! on: December 12, 2017, 02:13:56 PM
Are bonuses offered for investors?
What exactly do you mean?

It's meaningless, just like the post that immediately precedes this one. It's the result of an increase in “account farming”, bot-made posts to increase ranking. Expect more of the same. /me wonders whatever happened to Thermos' SimpleMachines forum replacement effort. I guess it's mired in permanent alpha. ISTR it had a significant amount of BTC thrown at it.

Cheers

Graham

Ah yes I did suspect this is another bot.

Noob jail should return and people have to earn their way out of it as we all did.

Then again i guess they could just switch on the rank boosting bots after they are released.

Should be bounties of rank or trust  for squashing them or even just a way to squash them... hmmm then even that could be gamed to increase rank and trust of other bot accounts

The world is such a tricky place...
3097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best place to order LTC miners right now for delivery? on: December 12, 2017, 02:04:51 PM

3098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DAG to Overcome Blockchain? on: December 12, 2017, 01:24:13 PM
Who can tell at this stage...DAG is not fully tested

Will it bring more benefits than issues over blockchain - time will tell us
