3101  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is not used for what is meant to be, possible Crash on: May 23, 2017, 07:19:06 AM
When something gets multipurpose usage the circulation of bitcoin increases than just being used as a currency. Though it was meant as a storage token gradually the usage varied and people showed interest on it as an investment. Recently due to increased transaction fee bitcoin is used much on large volume transactions rather than small amounts. For this reason I don't think bitcoin will be crashing.
3102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: May 22, 2017, 09:49:10 AM
I believe that the death penalty may reduce the crime rate and create a sense fear in criminals

Yes. This will significantly reduce the level of crime and in the streets will become safer. Now they have nothing to fear and they feel permissiveness.

Not many of the world nations have re-introduced death penalty after once removing or banning it. But in countries where the death penalty was abolished very recently (such as South Africa) there is a noticeable spike in the number of violent crimes.

Can't be linked with anything else.
Clearly South Africa is REALLY NOT in a special situation.
And there was no problem of corruption or drugs, not at all. It's simply because of death penalty Roll Eyes
Death penalty is a must to eradicate the mistakes done to the people surrounding the locality. Only death penalty gives the fear that they should not involve into such activities. If death penalty is abolished people will use the loop holes in the system and escape out of the mistake done by them, because most of the country were 90% corrupted.
3103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 22, 2017, 09:37:06 AM
This is why people think that matches in Indian premier league are fixed. Can't do anything except not to bet on a twenty twenty match. Does anyone else felt that it was fixed??

Don't know but the game was going well till the 19.1 over and then they just lost the match. Dhoni got out for such a small score but still I had hope with Smith being there but when he got out, the match was done and dusted. It looked like a fixed match then as losing by just 1 run is too depressing and that too in the finals. I would love to believe it's fixed now rather than considering that they truly lost the match by 1 run.

Compare the game with the odds and you'll come to know whether it was fixed or not. A super over was a possibility but everyone knew that lots of people have bet on RPS. So loosing the match would make more money than going for a super over.
I agree . It all depends on the management , first CSK management now this? Actually GL v DD match in the middle of IPL also had some rumors of being fixed . RCB's poor performance also makes us think IPL is fixed . This is why cricket looses fans .

Two bookies were arrested from teams hotel after GL vs DD match and it's quite obvious that they were there to fix. It's like
20-20 format is made for fixing. Hope it'll not happen in the champion's trophy.
These days cricket is going in a worst manner with players getting caught often into match fixing. I think mostly this would be because of the players getting paid very big than what they get from playing good cricket. Also Countries like India has lots of cricket lovers, so making money out of the game is easier.
3104  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: May 22, 2017, 08:59:46 AM
Yesterday panic selling might have took place in a large scale. Once the price moved closer to $2100 and in a short towards $2000 people who have been planning to sell at the highest price might have sold their holdings. Now looking today's price it could have made them to invest at least a part that's been exchanged to fiat.
3105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges that offer loan options on: May 22, 2017, 08:37:33 AM
Other than the lending service through our forum, poloniex has gained good reputation in the loan activities. It has gained a good reputation as it follows certain stepped process on loan approval. With our forum it's quite risk as there are newbies who request submitting fake collateral. This causes loss to the lender.
3106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC really survives over the next days... on: May 21, 2017, 02:25:56 AM
Let's face it, no one is complaining about the high transaction fees as long as the price of bitcoin is going up.
No one that is not using it as a currency or as a form of getting paid.

For that purpose, it is near useless. And if the current situation persists, it may lose that quality.
Though bitcoin is used quite low as a currency, surely bitcoin will survive for a very long time period. If the bitcoin is a failed experiment this could have not survived such a long time period. In one or other way bitcoin is gaining potential, so surely it'll reach more number of users in the form of investment and other accessibility.
3107  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: May 21, 2017, 01:52:06 AM
Try luck in gambling. You can play casino which pays in crypto form so that you can get bitcoins and later convert them real cash for profits.
Why? It same like you hire someone to lose and making them broken, if you would like to earn steady income gambling is really a bad idea and maybe the worst idea because you can lose all your money from there.
As quoted gambling is really a bad decision, but the one with luck easily get profited. There are large number of users who are making a stable earning through gambling. Every user loses at some point, but users with good experience and the satisfactory mind without greediness give added chance of winning.
3108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: May 20, 2017, 02:25:42 AM
You could go through the gambling section of our forum. Soon you'll understand the legitimacy of the gambling websites that function based on the virtual currency platform. Gambling websites listing based on the popularity and the service rendered will be updated often. Using this you could segregate the scam and the legit gambling sites.
3109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price per BTC on: May 20, 2017, 02:10:47 AM
Looking at the rise, today alone, i'm getting super... super excited. The price per BTC at the time I write this post is : $1919.16 - quite a rise from yesterday's 1700 something. I'm interested what you all think, could this be the start of the surge we know will come? What do you think the price will be tomorrow - lets talk!

Lol the surge had already started a few days ago.  I think this is just the continuation of that surge.  With the tomorrows price, I think bitcoin will tank  Grin.  Do not argue with me, I just think it will tank.  Bulls are quite tired for the fast pace increase today.

Not arguing.... but it won't drop, today at least. The price per BTC is just south of 2k as we speak.
It has got the highest chance of sustaining above $2000 after crossing the long expected $2000. Dropping off price is common with bitcoin, often minor drops and increase takes place simultaneously. So can hope that the price will be increasing as well sustain long making users to hold for a next price milestone.
3110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a beginner, I want to start trading. What should i do? on: May 20, 2017, 01:58:10 AM
My opinion, trading is more profitable than holding bitcoin for a lonr time. Short-time trading can easily multiple your btc if u have good skill to read the price.
Of course trading is a good choice. Because by trading we can get a profit continuously. The results can be obtained very quickly, trading is a short-term investment is profitable if we can read the movement of bitcoin / altcoin price.
Agreed, trading is a good choice. For a beginner trading seems bit complicated. But if one can spend time, can be learned in a short time and the experimental part with small amounts will give the experience to the user to understand what needs to be done and what shouldn't be, to get the better profit.
3111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is more risky. Sport or casino bets ? on: May 19, 2017, 06:41:18 AM
hello,

What is your opinion bout this.

If for example one match of basketball game ratio is 1.05, so it means it's 95% to win.  VS casino game like dice which is also 95% chance to win.
Which one is more risky ?

If the basketball game has odds of 1.05 that usually means that the actual odds of the team winning is around 20-40% somewhere around there, based on my own experience with casinos. Even if a team has just scored 4 points in a short span in basketball could change the odds from 1.15 to 1.05- the bookies have to put lower odds so that they make a profit and that they protect themselves if suddenly another team makes a huge ass comeback. So the odds they offer aren't exactly the chances of a team winning.

I'd say that sports is always more risky because you get less favourable odds. With provably fair dice at least you know that you're not getting ripped off and the house edge is always 1%, compared to sportsbetting where the odds for a 50/50 game could be 1.7-1.7.
In a way you are right since sports betting has worst odds than dice,  since most dice games have an edge of 1% or lower while in sport betting the lower house edge I have seen is something around 3% and I have seen a house edge as large as 15%.

You cannot really consider that as house edge in sports betting. Though, yeah, they have house edge but it is just also 1% as you have to compute for the difference of the odds if you bet on both sides. It's rather complicated to discuss, but generally they do have house edge but not very big at all.
As quoted house edge with sports events is quite low compared to the dice and Casinos. With sports betting the house edge varies with regards to the match situation and because of this most of the time users won't get a chance to bet on both sides and avoid the house edge. The odds were changed in a manner to small house edge.
3112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling at $2000,- /btc? on: May 19, 2017, 06:24:54 AM
Same as Op, we too can make predictions. The real outcome most of the time surprise the users. Even during the past pumping users were speculating that it could reach and so on, but it happened in a short and gave a surprise. Soon after that users started to quote $2000 to be the sell price. Now this is going to be the reality.
3113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin multi function in its use on: May 19, 2017, 06:09:52 AM
I mostly use my bitcoins on most investments online and paying my bills like internet bills and electricity bills which is allowed by our local wallet here.I mostly uses it to send money to my relatives
In my view it's a multipurpose value storage token which has got usages from an micro earnings to a huge volume transactions support system. Due to the anonymous nature it'sservice got extended to various sectors all around. Most of the time I give preference to it as an investment for a better profiting in the future.
3114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: May 18, 2017, 03:31:45 PM
One dude who i know have ruined the own commercial activity spending all the money on gambling.
I have heard news about a guy who have lost all funds he was managing in a firm and almost all of those money are from investors of that firm. I think your dude's story is also similar one. Hope he will not commit suicide  Cheesy
Several such examples can be quoted based on the life history of people who got worsen their lives just because of gambling. At the same there are people who are successful just because of spending the last penny they had with them to examine their luck. Greediness have made people towards success as well ruined. It's our responsibility to be on the safer side.
3115  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: May 18, 2017, 03:17:23 PM
Not totaly true because you need a computer and an internet connexion.

So it's common in developped countrie but not in all ^^
What you say is from the usage level, but in terms of affordability bitcoin is not common for the every level of people. In reality only people with high fiat backing profit much than the common users who strive hard to make a small earning from the Bitcoin. So most of the time it serves as the money of the rich.
3116  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best cellphone wallets on: May 17, 2017, 04:36:45 PM
Bit.ac seems quite good but the transaction fee is much higher than many other wallets. It too doesn't have a manual fee option. Possibly it gives much easier access and for large volume transactions this can be preferred, because when we send a small amount the fee looks high and we regret using it in the future.
3117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 17, 2017, 04:19:25 PM
Yesterday Supergaints won. I had alot of expectations from Mumbai though. But its all on them that how they play. Today i will be looking for KKR to win. KKR is a great team but never know what SRH got in their pockets. Anyone can emerge as a winner for but my vote for KKR.

KKR is fielding and it will be a lot of pressure to bat 2nd in this Play off. If SRH made a good score of 180 or around it will be difficult for KKR to chase it unless Narine give them a good start. If he gets out early then it will be more difficult for them to chase such a high score under pressure to win or you are our of the tournament.

A score of 180 is not possible now. Hyderabad have scored 118/4 in 18 overs. A couple of good overs can boost their score and give them a chance. We all know what Dhoni managed to do yesterday. And Hyderabad have a good record defending a score.
129 target for KKR seems very easy. Really SRH batting order failed to score big. I am not happy with their performance, hope bowlers will do their jobs and stop kkr journey from here.
The match doesn't look like an eliminator match. At least a score above 150 need to be reached. Only the match would be interesting as well can make predictions about the outcome. Now looking the score it looks as an one side game. Today the bowling and fielding were quite good than the other days which is the reason for such a low score.
3118  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin be effectively used to curb corruption? on: May 17, 2017, 04:07:20 PM
Till governments support corruption whatever methodologies were implemented people will be continuing to do the same mistake in one or other way. Some might say that when things go digital corruption can be stopped. This is simply a delusional statement. When things go digitalized the ease of corruption can be felt all around from common men to higher political personalities.
3119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 17, 2017, 03:52:26 PM
Like what members earlier replied, I don't think Bitcoin or any kind of currency would be any use for the astronauts as everything will be provided for them. And to answer your question frankly yes they can access and use Bitcoin in space as long as they have internet which they do. But getting back to my question what kind of special function will Bitcoin have in space? You even called internet an "earthly thing" much more can be said to Bitcoin itself.
As said above, wherever internet connectivity is available bitcoin can be used. Whether it's outer space or any corner of the world doesn't matter. Bitcoin is the only currency which has got the access anywhere characteristic. Even USD doesn't have this, because in certain countries USD needs to be changed to local currency for usage.
3120  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying clothes with bitcoins? on: May 16, 2017, 05:10:45 AM
https://www.overstock.com/
