3101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Segwit2X hardfork will be held on December 28, all about new Bitcoin fork on: December 27, 2017, 03:04:39 PM
Will bittrex support it or not?  Because i would transfer to electrum if it doesn't.
3102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex BTC Withdraw on: December 27, 2017, 03:01:32 PM
Hi there.  Yes my account is already enhanced.  The only reason i ask this is because does anyone know if bittrex will support the segwit fork?  If so, i will just keep the btc there.  I wanted to move the btc to my wallet so i could get more of the forked coin segwit.

In terms of btc, its a good amount for me but for others maybe not a lot.  But the fee of 0.001 fee would definitely be worth it for me.

But has anyone here withdraw from bittrex recently with an enhanced account?  I want to know how long did it take for it to hit your electrum or say nano ledger wallet when you do.  Because if you are paying the 0.001 btc fee, surely it would be fast?
3103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bittrex BTC Withdraw on: December 27, 2017, 05:09:09 AM
My account is already enhanced.  I sent btc to bittrex to buy an altcoin.  I have btc still on bittrex that i kept there.  I read that if you withdraw from bittrex, there is a 0.001 btc fee which is pretty expensive.  However to those of you who withdrew from bittrex to your btc wallet, how long did it take for the btc to show up?  Because since you are paying that fee, i assume they are sending it pretty fast?  When you request btc withdraw to your wallet, typically how long does it take for it to hit your wallet?
3104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when you are in profit? USD or Satoshi? on: December 27, 2017, 04:39:58 AM
when you say satoshi, you mean btc right?  Im curious what do most people here look at in terms of profit?  I mean shouldnt usd be what you should be looking at?
3105  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So, phone with authenticator destroyed. on: December 26, 2017, 11:08:33 PM
Well i didn't know about authy or the andOTP program.  I never heard of these.  All i knew about was google authenticator so thats why i used it.  And i dont want to change it on bittrex because if i do that, they probably will have to freeze my account.

Do you think i should send coinbase another email then?  I really dont think they going to respond back.
3106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 26, 2017, 10:03:02 PM
Does anyone know if bittrex would credit you the amount of btc you have on the wallet?  Also does that mean you should not move any btc from your wallet on that day?  They mention if you have btc on the fork you get it... but what if you send the btc from that wallet later on in the day?
3107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 26, 2017, 09:20:31 PM
Hi folks, I was wondering if it is worth moving all my bitcoin from Gdax and Gemini into my Electrum wallet before the SegWit 2x fork on 12/28?

What are you trying to do? If you want to receive that coin, then the only thing that you need to do is just move all your bitcoins to Binance.

They will give you and distribute the segwitx2 coins to all those who are holding bitcoins at the moment of the fork, so you will instantly receive them all without any hassle.

Just avoid to put your private key in any other place that is not safe.

Has binance confirmed this?  Did they do this with bitcoin cash, gold, diamond?  What about unlimited and superbitcoin?  I heard binance is one of the most legit exchanges there are.  Because if they do this, shouldn't most people do this because they are one of the most trusted exchanges?
3108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 26, 2017, 09:18:53 PM
Hi folks, I was wondering if it is worth moving all my bitcoin from Gdax and Gemini into my Electrum wallet before the SegWit 2x fork on 12/28? I have read that this is the best way to get any new currency that will be added. I am just wondering how important this is since the network is already overwhelmed and the fees are high.
You are the very much correct in thinking this but no one can answer the question better than you because it depends upon the amount of funds you have. B2X futures are currently priced around $600 while btc is near about $15k. With the network so congested average fees goes upto 300 sats/ byte for a swift transaction of few hours. Now calculate that the number of segwit coins you are going to get can cover such a loss. If your answer is yes then move them. Moreover try moving them to Binance or hitbtc or any other coin supporting fork it will be much easier to trade B2X.

Wow so basically for every 1 bitcoin you own, its basically 600 dollars free then assuming price stays the same?  That means with 2 bitcoin, thats over 1k for free...
3109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hard fork 17 December - Super Bitcoin on: December 26, 2017, 09:17:37 PM
Okay so you are telling me that the person that posted that link, if someone downloaded that link and did not do anything else or used a virus scanner to remove it, would it still be there or not?  Would a virus program remove it or not?  Because i would have to assume with links posted by these posters with 1 post etc... someone probably downloaded it etc.  Do regular free virus scanners like windows defender etc find it or not?  What program did you use?

So that would mean that remote access could basically check your computer for your wallet and then steal from your wallet?  But what if you have encryption then?  That would be nothing for them because when you copy and paste, then it would show up for them?

The other thing is what computer are you using to click on that link?  Its obviously a computer you use only for watching movies/downloading torrents etc and thus its your infected computer?  Thus it doesn't matter what you download on it because you dont do anything moneywise on the one you have?  Or are you using a virtual machine etc?  Thus you download whatever infected virus it doesn't matter because its a virtual machine?  And obviously this would be a separate computer even though its a virtual machine for you downloading that?
3110  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So, phone with authenticator destroyed. on: December 26, 2017, 09:11:49 PM
Im using google authenticator on bittrex because that was what i put as my 2FA when i verified my bittrex account.  I did not know about authy.  And if i want to use authy or andOTP... wouldn't i need to email bittrex about this and in the process my account will be frozen?  Because i have funds on bittrex at the moment.  Also i googled andotp... is that an app on the iphone?

My old phone broke.  It was used with coinbase a while back with the 2FA.  But the phone number that i used with coinbase... i still have the same number on my new phone etc.  I do not have the old 2FA code with my old phone written down.  The thing was back then i never even used coinbase much.

Coinbase did not reply back and i read you should not email them again because it would take longer. thoughts on that?
3111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 26, 2017, 07:54:07 PM
So basically hitbtc is the number 1 exchange to keep your btc in if you plan to get your bitcoin fork coins the easiest?  If thats the case, why don't everyone just send their btc there instead and just wait for the forked coins and then withdraw it back to their wallet?
3112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who sold bitcoin cash at over $2000? on: December 26, 2017, 07:53:06 PM
How do the people feel here now?  Those that sold it for say 300 or 500?  What about those that sold it for 1k or 1500?  What about 2k?

3113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I trade my BTC for BCH? on: December 26, 2017, 07:50:52 PM
At first i thought selling BCH for BTC would be good because you get more btc and when forks happen, you get more coins.

However, would you say its better to sell your BCH for BTC or the other way around?  Or keep both?  Because people seem to mention BCH will be huge.
3114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hard fork 17 December - Super Bitcoin on: December 26, 2017, 07:47:56 PM
Hey there i noticed lot of new users would post a site to claim your new bitcoin fork etc.  Those ppl obviously are trying to get you to download a fake wallet.

My question is this.  If you download a wallet like that but don't input your seed, would it be safe?  I ask this because i assume when people want to claim their bitcoin forks, obviously there are people that would download the program and enter the seed.  I read cases where some ppl do that and then their coins got stolen etc.  But are there cases of people downloading software like this or similar and then their wallets got hacked even without them entering their seed?  I assume they possibly could since there is most likely a keylogger?

However someone mentioned that the only way you can have your wallet hacked is if you actually type in the seed.  Can other posters here confirm this?  I would assume if you download something malicious, thats all that is needed?

3115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 26, 2017, 07:42:26 PM
Can others confirm here hitbtc will do this or not?  Did hitbtc do this with bitcoin cash, gold, and diamond?  What about the others  like bitcoin united, super bitcoin etc?
3116  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So, phone with authenticator destroyed. on: December 26, 2017, 07:33:10 PM
What site are you trying to log in with your google authenticator?  I have similar issue.  My old phone which no longer works, i used google authenticator i believe with it on coinbase.  My new phone i use google authentictor with bittrex but i cannot use it with coinbase now.  I log into coinbase and it send me a code to my sms number which i have.  But it still require my google authenticator from my old phone.  That phone is broke and doesn't work anymore.  I emailed coinbase no reply back.

How do i fix this issue then?
3117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ridiculous BTC Prices Predictions by Experts? on: December 26, 2017, 06:54:55 PM
Does anyone think btc could even hit 100k?  Im still wondering how it could even go that high.  I think unless btc hits 100k, talking about 200k, 500k or 1 million really ridiculous.  We haven't even hit 25k yet.
3118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to contact coinbase via email? on: December 26, 2017, 06:53:51 PM
Anyone?  They still have not messaged me back yet.
3119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin price so much lower on bittrex as oppose to coinbase/gdax/gemini? on: December 26, 2017, 06:53:31 PM
The price on coinbase is around 15700.  Price on bittrex is around 15700 or so.  Binance is also around the same.

So is the reason due to tether going down?  Not long ago it was 1.05 or so.  Now on coinmarketcap, its 1.01.  So that is the reason why sometimes bitcoin is close to 1k difference on bittrex compared to coinbase right?  Can others here tell me if this is the reason?
