A little surprise, Honda is now building the engines for RedBull until 2025 and not only until 2022 as planned. I think this is very good news for RedBull and they can now concentrate fully on the next season and defending the title.

https://www.motorsport-total.com/formel-1/news/neuer-motorenplan-bei-red-bull-honda-uebernimmt-noch-bis-2025-22012801

Yup just heard about this one.  Verstappen’s win of the driver’s championship could’ve encouraged them to push for another three years and prolly try to win the constructor’s championship?  It’s very possible imho.  And Honda prolly discovered something they could do in line with the 2022 specs.  Can’t wait for testing!  Grin

Nope and who would wish that on anybody?  I’m just make a point and saying did you guys notice Raikonnen’s driving last season?  His reflexes aren’t what they used to.  He’s making a lot of mistakes out there in the race, making him a danger to himself and all the other drivers.  It’s prolly age related dunno.  But if you were watching, you kinda knew he was done in F1.

And what do you mean by ‘surprise’?  It’s not gonna happen imho.  The season starts in less than a couple of months from now.
Don't agree about Kimi. He wasn't that bad last season as you describe. Offcourse, he was not as good as in his prime, but that's normal thing. He outscored Giovinazzi by quite big margin and haven't finished just in few races. Mazepin, Latifi or Tsunoda is more dangerous for other drivers than Kimi.
Offcourse, we're not talking about Kimi racing in Mercedes. It sounds more like a joke.

I never said he had a bad season or that he sucks as a driver now, just saying that he’s getting old and he’s losing those reflexes.  There were multiple instances during the season when it showed.  I mean I can’t remember exactly when and where but I do know that there were more than a couple of times when me and my friends were going ‘whooaaa almost’ because he touched the car next to him or he was a tad slow to make an adjustment almost hitting another car, etc..  But yeah.
3102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: January 31, 2022, 12:53:38 PM
^  Depends which UFC event you’re talking about bud.  Smiley  But I do get it.  There are some events in the UFC that don’t deliver...  But there are events in Bellator that do suck too a lot of times.  And Bellator 273 was one of the best events Scott Coker had after a couple of so so events.

What made Bellator 273 special was the underdogs in main card winning their bouts.  Especially the Henderson win.  He fought in front of his home town, his family and friends.  He was considered washed by the books and most of the MMA community and expected him to lose vs one of Khabib’s proteges...  Nope.  So good.
3103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 31, 2022, 12:46:55 PM
As much as I love to continue to chit chat and talk about fighter pay, we have a new event this coming weekend.  Let’s try to  win a little something for ourselves first before worrying about what they’re getting.  Grin  But yeah, I do get it.  It’s becoming a serious issue.

Anyway who you guys got?  At first glance of the match ups, it’s very chalky and looks like it will be a parlayable card.  The faves should win.  There could be pie sh*tters tho...  Like Hawes, can’t really trust his chin and gas tank vs Alvey.  And the matches I’m looking most forward to are Shavkat Rakhmanov vs Carlston Harris and Punahele Soriano vs Nick Maximov.  Should be good.

^  Lost one parlay but won the other one and the bet on Bader.  All the fighters that won in the main card were underdogs.  Lol.  The books were way off in the main event, the co main and with Homasi vs Willis.  And it really looked like the read about Bader’s wrestling being the thing that gives him the advantage was spot on.  Gotta thank somebody for that one.  Grin  Bader got a little tired at the end of the fifth tho.

Overall it was good.  Lots of finishes and some good underdog wins.  I hope Bellator match makers keep doing it.

3105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2022, 02:50:43 PM
^  Oh if he gets a boxing deal with Fury?  Def he’ll be paid a lot of money that he’ll start his own whisky company and make even more money then start losing all his next MMA matches and might even break his leg.  Lolol.  Grin

Seriously, yeah...  Ngannou prolly is thinking of getting as much money now while he’s still at the top.  But the problem is I think the UFC can’t give him a better deal than what he wants.  I agree that they should pay him more but what if he’s asking a lot more than what the UFC is willing to give?

I think what Dana should do is pair Ngannou up with Jones and hope for the best.  Maybe give Jones a picogram.  Cheesy

Lmao!  I know the feeling bud.  It happened to me once at a poker site that had a sports betting site on the side.  KYC went fine after a week but the problem was I gambled a lot in sports and had almost nothing to withdraw by the time I got approved for withdrawals more than a certain amount.  Cheesy

Getting Scammed from anywhere is sad. Everyone knows how it feels at least who gets scammed. Not only on Casino but from everywhere. If you want to discover, You may check the Scam accusation sub forum. Anyways, I am not supporting this dude who just created a Brand new account Writing here horribly to get attention from everyone. Do you think he doing it right? Well, I don't think so. As I already asked him to provide more information about his accusation. No one will trust him without any evidence based on what he said. To be honest, I never gotten scammed from any casino yet. But, I get scammed by several PTC and other platforms. I don't think Stake has the intention to Scam 2 BTC while they are Top of the Casino Industry.

^  Huh?  I didn’t say I was scammed.  I was saying it’s actually my fault for losing my winnings from poker in sports.  So I know the feeling of the guy who says ‘he’s being scammed’.  And I don’t think the site intended for KYC to take long.  It’s just the way it is.

Just like me, it’s his own fault for losing his winnings.  The site didn’t make those losing bets for him.  Lol.
3107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2022, 02:23:41 PM
Tottenham is currently unlucky in the transfer market. After Adama Traoré decided in favor of FC Barcelona instead of Tottenham yesterday, the next preferred candidate Luis Diaz from Woverhampton Wanderers will probably not go to London either, but to Liverpool FC. A delegation from Liverpool is on its way to South America as the player is currently with the Colombian national team.
https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2022/01/writing-luis-diaz-serves-liverpool-reminder/

It’s really not a surprise that Adama Traore decided for Barca over Tottenham.  Traore is a La Masia graduate, so his heart is prolly always for Barcelona.  If they had a betting market for all player transfers, these things would be fun to put small bets in.  It’s like speculating in unknown altcoins with under 50m USD in market cap.  Cheesy

And yeah, you can’t blame Luis Diaz.  Tottenham is in shambles and they don’t exactly have the prestige to make players head turn once they come calling...  Unlike Man United, the club may be in shambles but due to their prestige, they could still convince elite players to join them.

Here are the weigh in results for Bellator’s event that starts in around 10 hours or so.  From a betting perspective, I’m not really sure what I’m looking at.  Lol.  I haven’t made my bets yet as Stake seems to have some connectivity issues but I would go for Bader in the main event as a live underdog at 2.78.  Parlay Mamedov - Willis at 1.73 and Rosta - Gonzales - Mikhailov at 1.79.  Lines are from FJ but Stake sometimes gives slightly better lines, but not by much.

The event should be good.  Enjoy!  Wink

Is there something wrong with the site or is it just me?  The site won’t load beyond the intro screen that says ‘Stake Play Smarter’ and with the changing symbols of cards, a football and a dice at the bottom?  I tried both in IOS and in Chrome in a Windows PC.  No bueno...

3110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: January 28, 2022, 11:56:32 PM
The price is repeatedly testing the weekly average now, it does keep declining below that line but the multiple attempts to beat this measure make me think a further attempt upwards will occur.

If we close below 34.7k on 4hr bar then that would seem to invalidate this proposition.   Dollar index has been rising for most of the last 12 months, this accumulates to some pressure on BTC and if we could reverse that measure to any extent indicating a peak it would greatly help the bullish case for BTC

Crypto has been closely doing what the US stock market has been doing for this past week.  And it seems more closely than what we’ve seen.  But yeah I think the BTC sell down which started during November and without any bounces has been exhausted.  Now it’s time for the bulls who were in the side lines to get in.  But then again it could be a dead cat bounce.  I think we’ll see around 45k.

But one good thing about the whole thing tho is BTC didn’t need to test 30k.

Edit:  It’s really following US stocks more closely this past month.

I read somewhere and I can't find link that in upcoming season F1 will keep 60 minutes length training seassions, despite that previously there was announcement about return to 90 minutes length.
No way...  I mean why make a big fuss out of it esp with how his season ended last year?  If Hamilton really had retired I think we would’ve had an announcement without giving out any hints about it.  Maybe that’s what they want us to think to get more attention before they finally unveil their car.  Dunno...  It seems like it’s a little too late for that.  Who would replace him?

But then again if he really did retire and has yet to announce it, it would be a sad season for me for different reasons.  Lolol.  Since he’s gotten so good, I love hating the guy.  Cheesy
I also don't believe that Hamilton will retire. I think at all this stuff is made to keep fans interest and some hype during off-season when there isn't much action. And Kimi replacing him, for me it's more like bad April Fools day joke. Just leave him alone.
Raikonnen will prolly end up crashing and dying in that Mercedes.  Lol.  The guy is losing his reflexes as shown in the last season.  I think it’s just for show to get something going with the journos and the fans before the start of the season.  But then again I could be wrong.  So we’ll see.

One thing the sports betting sites should do is open a market if Hamilton retires or not before the start of the season.  Would anybody take a bet on Hamilton retiring?

That sounds a bit harsh, but of course you wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Perhaps we will also experience a surprise. You can never know it before...

Personally, I'm looking forward to it and I'm excited.

3112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 28, 2022, 11:41:31 PM
I think Israel Adesanya (got 600+ for his last fight) and Kamaru Usman (put a million in his pocket for last fight) are "second biggest draw right now".

I just watch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UFC_records#Finances and make conclusion that Ngannou is not the biggest star in UFC, that allows him to dictate his rules.

The top spots there are all taken by Connor. Take McGregor out of those and where else does everyone stack? I'm sure Ngannou is in the top ten, but just because he's not bringing in what Connor is doesn't mean he doesn't deserve more money. Regardless of where he is in the PPV rankings he's still a big draw and UFC's superstar heavyweight right now. I think his stock will only rise he if he keep fighting specially if he can get another of those vicious KOs. If he's landing more acting gigs that's even more eyeballs on him and the sport.

Maybe you are right, and the only thing he isnt happy in his contract is the clause that does not allow him to fight outside UFC. If we return to McGregor, he gave up two belts, did not sign new contract with UFC and had a fight against McGregor. Why dont Francis Ngannou dont want to do the same?

Ngannou probably will walk away if he doesn't get what he wants. And assuming you're talking about the Mayweather/McGregor fight he did that whilst still under contract with the UFC and it was a cross promo event with the UFC and Dana taking a cut of Connor's purse (see the UFC logo at the bottom):

I think Dana should extend the same courtesy that he did to Connor and let him box. If he doesn't then he'll probably just lose Francis all together so it's lose/lose for Dana/UFC in my opinion.

Yup but the problem is it debases the UFC brand when their best fighters in the roster cross over to boxing just to lose.  When McGregor lost to Mayweather, sure he got paid but his stock went down.  McGregor became a meme.  Boxing fans celebrated acting all like ‘we’re better’.  I think that’s what Dana White wants to avoid.  It would be a different story if somehow McGregor made it into a really close fight tho.  We’d prolly see more cross overs.

Now if Ngannou walks away, I don’t think he’ll be doing as well financially as he will be if he stays with the UFC.  He’ll be like Fedor.
3113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: January 27, 2022, 04:05:28 PM
Kharitonov 3 last fights were not against top opponents.
Cheick Kongo is top level fighter, ex UFC and he won 31 fights, that is impressive record.
Kharitonov was active, he did some boxing and he is bigger man so I don't see how he can lose this fight so easy.
Training at the gym with sparring partners for more than two years is not enough for this level of MMA.

No UFC this weekend so we’re forced to watch the b league, which I really don’t mind.  I just wanna see these guys throw leather.  Bellator 273 is in the menu.
No UFC but we have other alternatives, don't forget EagleFC by Khabib team is starting in two days and ONE Championship is starting tomorrow.
Main event and some other fights are with kickboxing style, and we have more fighters from Europe this time.
Best part of this is that you can watch ONE Championship event Live and FREE on youtube in high resolution.

https://www.onefc.com/

I’ll watch any b or c league esp if there’s no UFC.  Gotta get my MMA fix.  Lol.

Anyway, went thru the Bellator card and asked around, didn’t watch any tape or looked at the stats, just from asking for info from people I respect...  Bader is a live underdog due to the wrestling advantage.  And even though Bader’s chin isn’t really that good anymore, Moldavsky doesn’t really have the KO power for a heavy weight.  And for the rest the favorites should most likely win.  But if you’re gonna do parlays, buyer beware...  There’s always a pie shitter in every card.

3115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: January 27, 2022, 03:23:07 PM
That time was really hard for Watford and they are in serious danger of being relegated. Watford seems to approach Roy Hodgson to be their new manager. Though Roy Hodgson retired after last season he is coming back to take the responsibility of being the manager of Watford. Maybe he will be able to to keep them out of the relegation zone.

Details: https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2022/jan/25/watford-roy-hodgson-new-manager

I guess he’s a good choice if he chooses to stay beyond this season in case they do get relegated.  They’ll be needing a good enough manager to bring them up back to the EPL as soon as possible.  But Watford has him only until the end of the season so they’ll be lost again right after relegation.

It was Newcastle that chose well.  They got Eddie Howe as a safe choice.  A decent enough manager who could take the club mid table next season if they stay up and a great manager in the Championship if they go down.

I think Newcastle is really planning ahead for the next season because you know, they are also active in the transfer market.
Seems, they are planning to bring a successful result in the next season, And with the planning that they are going ahead, they should easily be a mid-table team the next season if not further up than that.

But what looks to seem to be in trouble if Roy Hodgson does not choose to stay for the next season. It is good for them now that he has their back but if it's not for the long term then the next season as you said they will be lost again, I think.

Newcastle?  EPL mid table at best if they get the right players during the summer transfer window.  But maybe I got a little too excited when I posted that.  Lol.  Newcastle could finish mid table next season at best and that’s pushing it.  Saying they could do better than that would be lulz.  But maybe they could lucky...  You never know.

And yeah, Hodgson is old.  I think he’s close to 75 - 76 or something.  The guy prolly just was just bored sitting around and missed football so he took the job.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 27, 2022, 03:16:43 PM

People who compare fighters payment in boxing and UFC and say that UFC fighters deserves to earn more, what could you say about payment in ice hockey and field hockey? Both sports require puck, equipment and stick. Top NHL players earn 10+ millions per season. Field hockey players get around 100k. Or compare soccer player payments with Australian football payments. Unfair again? Cheesy

It's not about that. 500-600k for a champion fighter of Ngannou's calibre is nothing and we're not saying they should be getting paid the same as boxers, but when they can make millions in boxing there's bound to be an exodus to that sport. From what I understand Ngannou  just wants the option to be able to fight in boxing but current UFC contracts keep them locked in so they can't do anything outside of it and I think those sort of restrictive terms are going to shoot the UFC in the foot, because they just won't re-sign and go over to boxing. At the moment fighters like The Paul brothers are making more money than world champs like Francis which they're obviously going to take as an insult. UFC fighters should be paid more, but we're not saying they should be getting the big bucks from boxing mega fights. Up their pay a little, boost the winning bonuses a bit and let the bigger fighters have cross-promo matches in boxing and UFC can take their cut of that as well otherwise champs like Ngannou won't be fighting in the UFC anymore which will be a real shame.

And watching Ngannou’s post fight press conference, I feel like it’s not just about the money or lack of it.  I think Ngannou is also trying to say that the UFC isn’t really doing everything to raise his stock.  Not like how they do Nate Diaz or Masvidal at least.  I mean yeah both those guys are way more popular than Ngannou but that’s also exactly why he isn’t that popular.  The UFC has to spend more money behind the marketing machine to get his name out there.

But maybe we just don’t know the whole story...
3117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Two Realistic Moves in Play on: January 26, 2022, 04:23:57 PM
Is that a monthly chart?  Try looking at the weeklies.  I don’t use trend lines, just support and resistance levels buy looking at where the bounces are and where there’s resistance.

Anyway, around 30k is the next support which I think is solid btw and I don’t think price goes below that.  But since anything could happen the next one where there’s a little bit of support is 16k which could easily break down.  The next one is...  *gulp* ... around 10k.  But I couldn’t imagine it going back down there.  No way...  The market won’t allow it...  Somebody will catch the falling knife.  Unless Saylor fakes cancer and is nowhere to be seen while BTC is selling down hard.  Cheesy
IDK why but I found it very funny lmao. About the chart, yes it's a monthly one.
Also, Weekly support is Indeed 30k which I see can break down if US Market keeps crashing.

Let's see how it plays out Cheesy

Ah yeah...  If US markets start selling down hard and mark the end of the bull market then yeah, it will drag everything down with it including crypto.  But I’m still hopeful the market has something left before full on bear mode.  I think BTC could still bounce to around 45k then go down and hopefully form a higher low before resuming to a nice trend back up.  If not, it’s either we down below 30k or go sideways prolly between 30k and 40k for a while.  Dunno.  That’s just how I feel like it’s going to happen from watching it all these years.
3118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 26, 2022, 03:42:56 PM
I think that it will be.

The ETH team knows that the community will be waiting for the merge, and if it continues to delay the launch of 2.0 then people will become skeptical and potentially pull out of ETH as time goes on.

Whether or not it delivers the promise of much lower fees is yet to be seen, though. I personally think that it will, but it will never lower fees to the point where retail investors can make transactions without thinking about gas.

I hope so. Otherwise, people will continue to lose interest in ETH until it goes all the way down the drain. Considering that we're still in a bear market, the release of ETH 2.0 will have little to no impact over Ethereum's price. Fees will decline, but only within the short term as network capacity stays at its All-time-high. For gas fees to remain low forever, developers need to constantly scale the Blockchain to meet users' needs. L2 (off-chain) and Sharding scaling solutions are ETH's only hope to remain as scalable as possible without compromising decentralization. Competing chains like Solana and BNB may be much more faster and cheaper to use than ETH itself, but their security/reliability is extremely weak (especially Solana).

I'd prefer to pay a high fee on ETH knowing that my transaction will go through, than paying a low fee on another chain with the risk of losing it all due to a network disruption or hack. People often prefer convenience on top of security/reliability/decentralization, so they wouldn't care more or less about this. There isn't an exact date for the launch of ETH 2.0, so this opens up the possibility for developers to continue delaying the upgrade to meet their needs. At least, we're not stuck on a single chain. Just my opinion Smiley

Wtf are you guys saying?  Lol.  Continue to lose interest in ETH?  If anything, ETH’s staying power has been very impressive despite the high fees.  It’s still up there at second place at CMC, it’s still one of the most traded coins in the market, it still has the largest community of developers in the space and all that isn’t even done yet.  It’s all still growing.

But as a preference of which chain you should be using, if you’re a whale, sure go use L1.  Fees can get really pricey esp doing stuff like when swapping tokens.  It goes as high as 100 USD for a transaction.  If you’re not a whale, just use one of the L2’s.

Today, the Mercedes Petronas AMG F1 Team published new black and white photos on their Twitter account.

Is this a hint from the Mercedes team that Hamilton's career is coming to an end, if so who could replace him?
When this is the Ende, and why published Mercedes little bit later a picture from Kimi and Hamilton, a one year return from Kimi?

Hamilton is obviously nearing his retirement but I would have loved it if he raced for 2 or 3 years more as he is still on his peak form.

But we also have to think in his POV as everyone wants to retire while being the best.

So this teaser from Merc could mean that Kimi could return but once again, nothing is official now. All I can say is that we enjoy Hamilton racing as long as we have the privilege to do so.

I just read the article where they quoted Wolff, and from his words it looked like Hamilton had already retired pending an official confirmation which is really very said if it turns out to be true. Lastly I can understand he feels betrayed due to what happened in the final race, but I believed that he could race for one more year win the title and then call it quits, but day by day it looks we won’t be seeing him again.

Cheesy

No UFC this weekend so we’re forced to watch the b league, which I really don’t mind.  I just wanna see these guys throw leather.  Bellator 273 is in the menu.

I really don’t know most of these guys except Bader and Benson Henderson but from what I’ve noticed in Bellator, the bouts are usually a mismatch.  The favorite really is the favorite which makes these matches very parlayable.  But there will be one pie shitter in there or two.
