3101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entain to Get Gambling License in the Netherlands on: September 30, 2021, 10:17:13 PM
Entain one of the world’s largest sports-betting and gaming groups gearing up to granted a Dutch gambling license in  first half of 2022. The company plans to submit its license application in the fourth quarter of this year. The Netherlands had in April 2021 passed a law legalizing online gambling and operations are to abide by its very strict demand. It should be noted that awaited online gambling market opens midnight on Friday 1 October.

So far only ten entrants will be allowed to operate while the applications of other companies are under review. Some of the companies that will be allowed to operate include; Play North, Bingoal, Toto Online, Holland Casino, NSUS Malta.

What's the benefit that the license can give to us here?

Is crypto-payment supported by those companies that have already been granted with the license or those companies that are now allowed to operate?

If it's pure fiat betting, I don't think that news can make an impact here. I also see that license covers the term of mandatory KYC which is usual on fiat gambling sites.
3102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 10:07:03 PM
I don't trust him in the Center position, not because he can't play that position but because he is so fragile. One injury will make him sit half the regular season lol.

In today's league status, a Center position is not really taken as a big deal now where everything is making shots on the rainbow area. While Anthony Davis is more of a Power Forward, he can switch gears to a Center position while maintaining plays for his usual Power Forward position. About the supposed injury he might get, regardless of what position he will play, an injury can happen any time.

Anyways, Anthony Davis already make it clear that he will play as a Center and try to adjust: Lakers’ Anthony Davis is ready and willing to play more at center
3103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: September 30, 2021, 09:53:14 PM
And obviously, it could be a win by Donaire again, I'm not underestimating Gaballo here but I see his weakness when he fought Rodriguez, he is not accurate with his punches so he might get KO by Donaire here who is only waiting for the right timing.

Gaballo has a lot to learn, relying on power alone is not gonna work against a veteran champion.

Experience-wise, Gaballo still has more food to eat. Donaire's experience is his advantage in that fight. But in my own view, I'm looking the other way.

I see Gaballo will be more pumped at that fight as just imagining what will happen next if he wins is already exciting to think. If by any chance that he defeat Donaire, more recognition will be given to him and a possible a much better contract deal compare to his usual. He will also climb the ranking making an opportunity to fight at those on higher rankings. That's an opportunity that every boxer wants.

Not favoring between one of them who will win. They are both PH boxers so regardless of the result, they will carry the PH flag.
3104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be too desperate to make earning on: September 30, 2021, 09:47:43 PM
like what OP said, we need matured mind to do trading because if we put our emotion we can be wrong to make decision and made us lose.

Emotion is something that you can't avoid while doing trading. It's part of the game and the challenge is, how to manage it properly.

Honestly, we can't just say to others that they need to control their emotions. It's hard. Let them experience the losses they will make while dealing with how to manage their emotions. Without errors and losses on the way, a person can never be matured. It's just fine to lose but while experiencing it, we should learn from it and try to minimize the losses while we progress.

It's ok for me to be desperate to make earnings but in a responsible way.
3105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you see the true bear market coming? on: September 30, 2021, 09:36:22 PM
Like the title says, when do you see the true bear market that we saw that happened in 2018 with every alt crashing insane amount?

If bitcoin crashes for about a week or so and then most altcoins are following the downtrend, without any signs of any upwards movement nor indicators doesn't show us that price will rise soon, I considered that as the bear market is now in effect.

But honestly, you don't need any signs to know that the same scenario in 2018 will happened again. Just focus on the progress made by bitcoin after that 2018 bear trend and form an analysis if the same case will happen again and some possible factors that might trigger it.
3106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me some coin for mid-term Trading. on: September 30, 2021, 09:30:11 PM
Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB all are very good use case for long term and short term, so anyone can use them for midterm trading as well these are never been in bad shape even we have very bad crypto market.

Basically for a start, the top and solid coins should be the first zone of any newbies. The purpose of it is to have an actual experience about how's the environment of doing trades without the heavy risk that their investment will be crashed quickly. Crypto is volatile but at least by choosing those top coins, a newbie can test their skills without the sudden upward or downward trend on some altcoins.

While newbies progress and gaining knowledge, they can now slowly climb the ladder by choosing other coins. And eventually, once gained enough experience, these newbies will now be called experienced ones and they can even play with shitcoins whenever they like.
3107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Splintershards on: September 29, 2021, 11:17:53 PM

You should better try and play the game, Splinterlands. $10 is the starting amount you need. Not just the game but explore the other feature as well like SPS staking, DEC farming, and so on. It needs just roughly 10-15 minutes to complete a daily quest depends on how good you are (there is a skip result feature making it faster to complete a single match).

It's already a play-to-earn game and with the right tactics and strategy, you can progress fast, if not, slowly but surely. Don't mind the current value of Splintershards as while you enjoy the game, you will notice that you are now gaining SPS.

From a trader's perspective that doesn't want to play the game, it's a good addition to anyone's portfolio. Of course, still do your enhanced DYOR before putting in money.
3108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cripto and Sports on: September 29, 2021, 11:04:41 PM
A number of sports stars were also interested in Crypto lately, such as Tennis Star Naomi Osaka openly interested in Dogecoin. The famous soccer player, Lionel Messi also received a part of his salary in the form of Crypto, namely the PSG Fansclub token. Previously, the NFL star Russel Okung also chose to receive half his salary at Bitcoin.

What do you think ?

Since Bitcoin and Dogecoin don't have a central authority or are being handled by a group of individuals or acting as a business, we can fairly say that there's no such thing as they are doing some hype on that certain coin.

Not familiar with the sports stars you have mentioned but if they are promoting a crypto-company, then we can look at the reason why they are into crypto.

But generally, it's not even surprising that a famous individual will use crypto. It's common already nowadays that there are people on that status lurking in crypto.
3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 29, 2021, 10:32:39 PM
Now, it's official that Ginebra is out for the contention for the PBA AFC and I do think that heads will roll on this and chances are high that CStand would play overseas again once his contract expires this December.

There are offers already for CStand from overseas. Now that Ginebra is eliminated early, lots of times now for CStand to think of his future. For me, he better pursues that offer from overseas. He can always come back to PBA. I think there will be no next conference after the AFC and the next conference will be next year now with another AFC as the beginning. The preparation is limited for the next conference because of the continuous delay of games and imports will surely have a hard time before being allowed to play here.

NorthPort and SMB will clash once again today for their second game in the series, could NorthPort bounce back or SMB march straight to the semis?

My pick: SMB -3.5 @1.92

Robert Bolick is on fire. He can penetrate SMB's defense at most even JuneMar is there containing the paint area. Slaughter on the other hand is playing at his best. Their recent match is a close game. I just hope though that Northport won't allow again a being downed by 10+ points. Although they were able to catch with the SMB's lead, it's difficult to bounce back from 10+ points if it's about against an SMB.

NorthPorth +3.5 @1.84
3110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 29, 2021, 10:17:38 PM
If they don't like the exposure of gambling in their country then they can put the ban hammer instead doing doing things which isn't effective at all but affect the people financially who are living in that sector.

You should realize that putting a ban totally will make things much worst. You care for financial concerns but not looking at the post-effect if there will be a total ban. There's no mention that they don't like gambling exposure. They are just limiting the marketing content and it's not just Spain alone who approved it but the European Commission themselves.

It's stated that; "betting companies sponsoring teams and athletes had contributed to the ‘normalising’ of betting which has ‘serious health and social risks’. It claims that athletes' status as role models had led to an increase in gambling among young people aged 18 to 25, rising from 29 per cent to 40 per cent in the last four years. The amount of money spent by young people in Spain on gambling, meanwhile, had risen by 13 per cent annually."

And because of the pandemic, that number might be much higher since everyone is in their home. It's no secret that Europe is the most active in gambling during pandemic that's why everyone, at any age, got exposed to gambling.
3111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 29, 2021, 09:45:13 PM
It is quite obvious that Lakers will definitely dominate the league this season. The question is not if they can, the question if they can stay healthy, which has been the problem for them last year. Even prior year, before they got AD, before they were champions, they really had a problem with health issues.

When Lebron is not healthy and can't play with 100% then they always have a problem. He might be a little on the older side, but dude is definitely the best player on that team by far, not even AD would be better, we have seen AD play with a bad team all his life and he barely did anything, Lebron took tanking level teams to finals all by himself back in Cavs. So, this is why Lebron needs to stay healthy for them to be any good. IF they are healthy, then it is 100% guaranteed that they will dominate the whole league with an exception of maybe Nets if they can fix all the locker room stuff with Irving.

I might partially disagree. LeBron is not the same LeBron we see carrying the Cavaliers by his own before. Even with a healthy LeBron, the Lakers will struggle if some part of their key players will be injured. The last time LeBron goes in full rage was in the 2017-18 season where he played a perfect 82 games with an average of around 40 minutes per game and face the healthy Warriors in the Finals. That will be the last time we will see the pumped-up LeBron.

The Lakers' success this season is not just about LeBron staying healthy but his teammates too should be healthy all the way. LeBron is used to carry a heavy load but no player is immune to the effect of aging.
3112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 29, 2021, 09:31:24 PM
I also don't think that Inoue could follow the footstep of Manny Pacquiao, I think he has to prove to us first by beating Casimero and then going up in weight. Though he is really strong right now, but he hasn't fought champions yet like Pacquiao fought when he was still young.

It's been a talk already all over the globe that Inoue somehow resembling Pacquiao's journey. He is even called the next Manny Pacquiao that comes from Asia. I somehow agree with that but since the pandemic struck lots of potential fights of Inoue are not discussed on the table. He can fight 2 times a year if no pandemic happened and right now, we now supposed to see if he was able to beat Casimero.

And no, he doesn't need to prove if he will be able to become the next Manny just by beating Casimero. Manny also loses on the way. If he will be beaten by Casimero, he can make a rematch. And going up to weight class does have a process. He's considering that for sure but just making good timing.

For now, let's not focus if he will be the next Manny Pacquiao. Like to see the progress of Casimero's training for months that we didn't see on his fight against Rigo because of the latter's defensive style. Hoping that Butler will go face-to-face with Casimero.
3113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: September 29, 2021, 09:16:42 PM
For me, the only way to understand the market is through experience. Without experience, getting a positive result will be much more difficult, really.

That makes sense. I just have to say to OP that lurking every day in the crypto market will automatically feed our minds. Reading technical analysis can't be learned by new ones that quickly and easily without them engaging in the actual scene. Technical analysis are not meant to predict what will happen accurately but will just give us some possible cases that will happen next.

OP can also consider reading speculations and predictions and try to analyze the supporting factors why those predictions were formed. Just have to take note too that even professional ones are losing today even how experienced they are. That's how unpredictable the crypto market is.
3114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you suggest a small marketcap project with high potential? on: September 29, 2021, 09:08:47 PM
Buying early will always benefit anyone, as it's very common for new tokens to drop after all launches have gone very smoothly, although it may grow again at a later time, but at least can take advantage of it now. The potential is solid but there are some issues with marketing, roadmap execution, hype etc. I keep some tokens just in case.

That's not always the case. Buying at startups is risky even how potential and good the project is. That's why it's better to choose those low market cap coins (depends on how we define the range of being a low market cap) that are already on the market and listed at some exchanges already.

This month, I played with IDEX, CELR, GALA, SLP and somehow gained a good profit, especially at IDEX. One factor I'm looking at before putting money on some coins is their daily/weekly performance regardless if they are having a small market cap or not. In most exchanges, we can see those coins who are performing well or not. That's one step of choosing what coins are worth risking to play in for the short term.
3115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL is already $144, can still buy it? on: September 29, 2021, 08:54:39 PM

Once the bullish market returns, Solana has a high chance to breach its previously established All-Time High price @$213 during the 1st week of this month. Right now, we can consider that the current floor is the bottom and making an entry is not a bad choice. Good thing that the market experience a bear trend so those who are confused about putting money on SOL can now make a better choice rather than hugging the hype back then and force themselves to buy at that price.

Will you buy now or wait for more dip? It's now up to us. Just don't wait for too much price target whether to buy or to sell as in most cases, it doesn't happen.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 29, 2021, 08:37:02 PM

Damn Meralco. Almost a win but NLEX rookie Calvin Oftana find his way to make an open clutch layup that seals the game. If only Meralco's Mac Belo nailed that crucial free throw, they are about to win that game. Not a Meralco fan but it's just that I placed a bet on them as part of my parlay that's why I'm looking forward to them winning on that game.

Look how that game destroys my parlay;

Supposedly, a good day for my betting that turned out bad. Cheesy
3117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why some gambling sites allowed my IP and why some restrict it? on: September 27, 2021, 11:08:33 PM
I'm just curious because AFAIK gambling is not totally illegal in my country, so I have the liberty to gamble on the sites that I like to use.

It's not always like that. Like I posted here, I've pointed out that it might be because of the game license. I don't know the specific reason for bet365 to restrict the gambling-free country like the Philippines but I think no big deal on that and no need to know the specific reason. If by any chance, you can contact their support. And as shared above, clearly it's about the license. We can now conclude that's the reason because it comes to their support itself.

3118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No vaccine no entry Casino house! on: September 27, 2021, 10:52:33 PM
I was faced with real-life situations in my city over the weekend, I visited a casino house close to my residence to have some fun time but on getting to the casino gate I was stopped by security at the gate and they demanded a covid 19 vaccine card which I don't have at the moment and I was denied entry I felt embarrassed but I have no option than to turn back. Is the situation the same in your neighborhood?

This is a change that we should expect by now not just in casinos and other businesses as well. I have post here recently that it's not allowed now on some Malls here to have a dine-in at any restaurants without being fully vaccinated. There's a nearby casino here (bingo) but not yet implementing a fully vaccinated person to enter inside their premises. Only a face mask and face shields are enough but honestly, once you are inside that casino, only a few wear face shields. Not that strict after all.

If someone from PH here, that establishment I'm talking about is near the Arcovia City along C-5 road. They are a legal business and now operating.
3119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka ( A state in India ) they introduced bill in assembly to ban o.gamblin on: September 27, 2021, 10:28:30 PM
https://www.google.com/amp/s/indianexpress.com/article/cities/bangalore/karnataka-government-bill-assembly-ban-online-gambling-7516048/lite/

Karnataka ( A state in India ) just introduced a bill in assembly to ban online gambling in the state which does mean that the players won't be able to use anything like that anymore. People will have maximum imprisonment UpTo 3 years or would have to pay 1 lac. Inr. Virtual currencies are also included in the same. It does not involve lottery or wagering, horse racing outside the state. For people who are addicted the punishment would increase every moment, it would start from a lower amount and lower imprisonment and increase tremendously for every next offence.

Prior to implementing that law, I think that went in a legal process and there are reasons and factors they looked at why create a law about that. I don't know the gambling situation there but maybe it's really worst and the negative effect of it are now devastating the lives of others.

If the local government there doesn't benefit to gambling, while at the same time, just wrecking people's lives there, it's a good action that they now ban gambling in that area. Legal or illegal gambling, everything is covered.
3120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another Vaccination Lottery on: September 26, 2021, 11:10:30 PM
The lottery is a good incentive for those who want to be vaccinated but the government should focus more on educating their people on the danger of CoVid and the need to be vaccinated, even if you are vaccinated you could still get a CoVid but it will help you fight the virus and you have a good chance to survive than when you are not vaccinated, people should learn how to fight this virus because sad to say it will be part now of our lives because it keeps mutating.

The government of any country has always been vocal about the benefits of getting a vaccine. The problem is, people are still hesitant despite those good reasons. That's why lots of attempts were made to convince them to the point that even involving a chance to join a lottery. A good move but there are "better" perks that people can benefit from for a long.

To be honest, I am not fully vaccinated yet because I am afraid of the brand of the vaccine that is currently available.
Is there any brand of the vaccine mentioned by the article of what it is? I am looking for a Pfizer brand which is I have heard and based on my research this vaccine has a good result other which is this vaccine is rare for now. However, this is a great opportunity that is given to others and the prize was really having an effect on the price.

There's no mention in the article but I think brand is not necessary as long as people there will be vaccinated. Regardless of the brand, as long as done with complete dose, are all eligible in the lottery.

Results vary per person's health. It was subjective. We can't really talk about "comparisons" here between brands.
