There is no one in the the Bangladesh line up that could replace Shakib Al Hasan because he is a world class player that will fit in any team and he is best that Bangladesh ever produced and to replace him is a huge task. Yes he made money and even if he retires now he will be well off with playing franchise cricket until he is performing at the top but the fans might turn against him as Bangladesh have die hard fans.
Why should the fans turn against him? There is no doubt that the BCB has unfairly targeted their best player. Due to ego issues, the BCB bosses have targeted Shakib whenever they got a chance to do that. They have withheld his NOC, and have taken disciplinary actions without any basis. If he wanted, then he could have shifted to another country, and earned a lot more money. Anyway, his hot headed nature is not helping this either. Recently he created a lot of controversy during one of the Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 matches. Bangladesh's cricket board management does not like Shakib Al Hasan. I don’t know why they dislike their best player so much. I think Shakib is always against corruption so maybe many people dislike him. They are performing as expected, but they lack basic skills like batting, bowling, and fielding. Every team goes through highs and lows, problem is the moment this team wins a major match praising the "we are simply so unpredictable" nature. How long will the team keep this as a proud tag? I don't think that their performance in England during this pandemic period should be taken as a yardstick. Even India struggled in England recently. I would still say that as a team, Pakistan has shown a lot of improvement recently. Their batting is still overdependent (to a degree) on Babar Azam, but others (such as Fakhar Zaman) have now stepped up their game. Also, the pace bowling department is showing a lot of maturity nowadays, after such a long gap. The pace combination of Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf remains a lot of people of the golden period two decades ago, when Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar used to open the bowling for Pakistan. Can't say enough how happy I am for my man Messi. I don't know about his future anymore at Barca but I expect him to still be there, but it doesn't matter anymore. They are losing it all now, 4 wickets down for Pakistan. Things are looking bit tough but little partnership building up for the 5th wicket, clearly need some brave effort here, which is very much possible in cricket. The only way for Italy to win would be to score an early goal and keep that as an advantage and I think its pretty exciting to watch if either of these teams score an early goal and the other team score an equalizer right before the game ends. That would be very dramatic though instead of just watching the game goes to 0-0 until the full 90 minutes The team that can score the first goal will definitely get an extra advantage. For me this is going to be a clear England victory. Let's say both teams are equally strong and have a 50/50 chance of winning. There are more factors we need to consider. Although Spain is failed to reach the Final, but I can say that their performance against Italy is their best performance in this tournament. I did not expect that they can play that well till the extra time. I predicted that Italy will win the game in normal time but I was wrong, perhaps I was underestimating the young squad of Spain. Too bad, the one who scored in normal time (Morata) was failed to do his task well in penalty shoot out. Both team deserves to be in Final but of course only one to go further. Yes, last night's Spain performance was completely different from their previous performances. They seem more cohesive with more dominant ball possession. But Italy was able to overcome them even though they had to go through a penalty shootout. Morata will surely regret last night's failure. Spain has performed exceptionally well. I would say Spain has played better than Italy. But their misfortune. Experienced players like Morata missed penalties. However, Spain's goalkeeper Unai Simon has fascinated me.
