3101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 15, 2021, 08:14:19 PM
This could be the last we will see Manny fight in the ring he will be very busy after this fight and by the time there is an open for a new fight, he cannot do it because he is holding a high position and it won't let him fight again, or his body could not keep up anymore so I hope he can give us a great fight and he wins another title again, I lost count how many titles he wins people are only counting weight category.
It is difficult to follow the number of belts boxing has in each and every division but we are aware that Manny Pacquiao won multiple belts in multiple weight division and he has nothing much to prove and if he really wants to focus on politics he can do so. If you are from that part of the world, i want to know his chances of winning the election.

I know that he already holds some political position in the country but no idea about his political views and his vision for the future.

That's easy to know if you are from the Philippines, but that view could just be a view if he will not work for it. While in boxing, he already has proven to be one of the best, in politics, it's a different story as I see a lot of criticism against him even being a senator.
3102  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2021, 03:47:11 PM
snip...

surely a country that has a source of income will not really care about crypto
but for poor and developing countries that have few sources of income will try to use crypto to boost their country's economy

cryptocurrency will not be rejected.  over time when crypto adoption occurs then all countries will be crypto friendly

Because poor countries are exploring more posibilities on to make their economy boom that's why we see El Salvador is trying their luck on bitcoin acceptance. Maybe there are other small or maybe shall we say 3rd world groups will adopt bitcoin and make it as their legal tender if El Salvador will suceed and get a positive result on ita adoption.

Also yeah maybe we can see that all country will became crypto friendly in future but this one will never happen soon due to many reasons.
We can see and hear that many countries are still our from adoption, we don't know why but this probably they don't consider Bitcoin as a helping tool for their economy to grow but just a competitor. If we think that these developing countries will legalize crypto, it might happen in the future but have to agree that these 3rd world countries will make it first than them like El Salvador as an example. Because they are more on the look of better opportunities to give their people but these developing countries are much looking on how to compete other for the sake of taking power.
3103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 15, 2021, 03:13:10 PM
My opinion is that allowing the gambling industry to operate, even with higher taxes is much more preferable than imposing a blanket ban on all gambling activity. Take the case of countries such as India, Indonesia and Bangladesh. There is a blanket ban on gambling, but there is no dearth of illegal gambling dens. This results in ordinary people losing their hard earned money, as many of these illegal casinos are not regulated and indulges in fraud. Also, a part of the proceedings are used to bribe the cops and politicians.
I also preferred to have it legalize even though paying taxes is high rather than gambler makes it illegal which only might cause more problems and additional workloads for the authorities. But, I'd still never think this could be the solution to such a gambling addiction and even to stop illegal casinos as these people will find a way to make it happen, and to think also that bribery is still not an excuse, especially if having a corrupt officials.
3104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 15, 2021, 04:45:32 AM
it can be said that bitcoin investment is a popular business in this century which makes many people flock to invest in the crypto world, especially bitcoin
Now, people already know the big potential of Bitcoin to raise its value constantly in the future. We can see the Bitcoin price history, it has been increasing very much since it was launched in 2009. At that time Bitcoin launched, it has no value, but now the price of Bitcoin can reach more than $60k. People are confident that Bitcoin to have a value of more than $100k in the future with the circulating supply is very limited and the demand always rises.

From scratch to something valuable, that is how we can picture the journey of Bitcoin. It slowly gains the trust momentum in which we can see that its price is also increasing. However, it was too sad to think that some just never give it like many countries are still having no support but instead, they banned and decline the freedom of their people to enjoy Bitcoin.
As this adoption will continue, it was expecting prices had come to pump as well. $100k, $200k, are quite possible, who knows right?
3105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Trading for Some Digital Coins Banned in Thailand, Including on: August 15, 2021, 04:11:47 AM
Thailand has become the latest country in Asia, after China, to restrict trading in the highly speculative cryptocurrencies and the non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued new regulations that ban certain types of digital coins, including meme currencies like Dogecoin.
It said the ban is aimed at protecting traders from tokens that have "no clear objective or substance" and whose prices are influenced by social media trends and online influencers. The ban also includes “fan tokens” that are riding on the popularity of the celebrities they are influenced by.
I'm not sure how is that being stated and how it is going to happen in Thailand, mind if you can provide us the link so it was easy for me/us to look at. And I think that was helpful for everyone.
Anyway, it wasn't new to hear such stories in some other countries but I don't think that could have a huge impact on the market, it could be just in their place. Although it was going to be real, at least they don't band the leading cryptocurrencies which would still allow their citizen to continue using it without restrictions.
3106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep Bitcoin while getting benefits on: August 14, 2021, 11:52:05 PM
There is no how you can take profit without selling your bitcoin, assuming you bought $50 worth of bitcoin and the price doubles, then you want to take profit and keep the capital all you got to do is to sell part of your bitcoin that worth the amount of profits you want to take and leave the rest, that the only way you can take profit, you can't eat your cake and have it back, if you don't want to sell then you don't need to take profit.
Well, if you just know about staking, maybe you don't need to sell your Bitcoin for the sake of making a profit. In fact, this was already been used by many and the profit is good but never it thinks that really give you a huge profit, unlike trading. But the good thing about staking is that your funds are safe provided that you are using a reputable site. But also have to keep in mind that putting funds in the exchanges is also at risk, so it was best not to hoard big amounts.
3107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: August 14, 2021, 11:30:23 PM
The value of the NFT price is based on rarity, the artist, and the number of collectors who are hunting for it to be kept as a collection. For a long time I think NFT is still trending in the world of cryptocurrencies, because of that, many types of NFT have emerged, one of them, NFT Picture, NFT Music, NFT Virtual Land, NFT GAme. and currently what is popular is NFT in the Game industry, and currently there are many enthusiasts and players.
They are almost done, the hype could end up soon and only those reliable NFT projects will be left while the others will die. I have seen them having no difference from ICO, Defi projects, as they got into hypes and they collapse.
And besides, only NFT games give life on this platform, the rest are just ignored and investors having no interest in them. Well, I can admit I have no such interest as well.
3108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 14, 2021, 08:56:39 PM
Why is Manny Pacquiao still fighting? I am sure that he has earned enough to retire with over 60 boxing fights and a previous champion. I would not risk it if I was in his position and he risks losing his impressive record because he will not be as good as he was in his prime.
It’s not easy to give up the sports that you love and as per Manny, as long as he can he will still fight and this is not just about Money, this is also about loving the sports that changed your life for a better.

Yes, the risk of losing is always there and he might ended up on a bad situation, that’s why he trained a lot to become more fit and for sure, Manny will do everything to win.

Like he always does and Yordenis Ugas is not the kind of fighter that will stop Manny's career and force him to officially retire. With the way Manny is taking care of his body, I know for sure that he will still have a lot of fights to come, but just unfortunate the chance to prove to the world that he can reign in his division was taken away from him, but it's alright, we know he can be a GOAT.

Muhammad Ali is the GOAT in boxing, although Manny Pacquiao's achievement is probably higher as he is the only 8th world division champion, he can't officially be named as the GOAT, maybe because he is an Asian and since Americans would rather have their own.
3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 14, 2021, 08:44:45 PM
I will just bet for John Riel Casimero to win over Guillermo Rigondeaux, Casimero is the favorite here if you would look at what advantage does John Riel Casimero have over Rigondeaux you will see a huge difference in their experience, Casimero is just 32 Year old, but already have 34 fights, 30 wins and 4 loses, while Rigondeaux is age 40 does only have a total fight of 22, 20 wins and 1 loses, and if we look on the KO percentage 21 KO's (61.76%) and Rigondeaux 13 KO's (59.09%) Stake.com's odd is Casimero 1.52 and Rigondeaux 2.49 even though Rigondeaux has the height and reach advantage over Casimero, I still believe that John Riel Casimero will win this.

Sometimes statistics doesn't matter especially when an opponent had a very good preparations to counter his fighting style.
Though, statistics is one of the sources to get the match up odds.
Well, I can say the odds are pretty balanced. But anyone who bets on Rigondeaux isn't a bad decision after all. I mean the old man will surely have his plan on how he's going to stand an aggressive fighter like Casimero.
However, Casimero's stamina is very vital for this fight If he decides to go for his usual aggressive style.

We have a few hours left before the fight. Good luck to ya'll bets.
The day has come and I have to agree that the result is not just based on numbers of who are with advantage since the opponent of Casimeros is not an easy boxer as well but if Casimero becomes more active he can beat his opponent. I’m excited for this one, few more hours for this match.

Casimero is always been an active boxer, his timing is good and he is durable as well. I'm looking at the betting odds now, Suddenly there's a change on Rigo to win by KO, it was x16 when I open it, and now it's only x11.. anyway, I'm just saying, what I like now is the odds of Casimero at 1.56.
3110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump on: August 13, 2021, 08:28:09 PM
I would be surprised if the ETH pump at this hardfork failed to get ETH to a new ATH this month.  On the other hand, August is very good for bitcoin on a 4-year cycle.  2013, 2017 and 2021 bitcoin is still making a recovery base going towards its 65k direction.  That is also the basis for me to believe in the ability to create ATH at 5k$
Maybe you are right as I've never seen such data.
But anyway, it is either was true or not at least we are seeing, and has been proven that we are wrong thinking the dump after the bullish season. This will also tell us that nobody is in control of the market and as we are expecting a huge dump, we eventually see a different scenario.  This could remind us that everything can be possible and it was still in doubt if the London hard fork makes this pump.
3111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 12, 2021, 09:51:46 PM
~snip~
Let’s see what happens but I really believe that one of the three may not sign for now, may extend next season, but maybe not now.
I doubt that, this big 3 are capable of winning a championship, before the playoffs, they had already been playing beautiful basketball and they have the chemistry that we are not expecting, it's only the injury problem that causes the failure of the team, Harden and Irving are playing well based on my observation.

Harden's contract is until 2023 as he signed a 4 year deal with Houston and got traded to Nets.
Also Irving had a 4 year deal with the nets.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2840817-report-kyrie-irving-to-sign-4-year-141m-contract-with-nets-join-kevin-durant

and sure Durant has a long contract as well, so they are intact this season, no one would sign with other team as they simply can't.

Nice one, nothing to worry about for Nets fans as they will stay this year and another try for them to win the championship. they are currently the favorites to win one, so we should trust them to be able to deliver that to us. Coaches just need to manage their minutes effectively as their health is very important in the playoffs, Irving should at least play in the playoffs and finish with a good run.
3112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: August 11, 2021, 11:30:08 PM
Well, It is certainly not a question to ask because that will be our purpose of coming into crypto and accumulating some in the first place. And the answer is absolute YES but that also depends on the coins you have chosen. If you have to buy those coins that are promising that leaves no worries but if you have bought shitcoins, that it seems you are taking the high risk.

This was posted 7 months ago and I just hope that OP has found it right and it is profiting now.
3113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: August 09, 2021, 09:17:28 PM
It is all about budget, if you can afford to gamble then it is going to be the first option to have fun. Video games also have in-game gambling options, GTA should have a small casino inside the bar, some players can gamble there to increase the gameplay money. In all cases, mostly underages have an interest in games so I don't think implementing gambling-based fun is suitable for this audience.
Those people saying that they are just playing for fun isn't the reality to found. No, they will spend money and time as their main goal is to win if they are lucky and these people could literally get mad once they lose.
These days, we found out that young ages are already exposed to this thing. They might just come and started with a simple game but we sometimes notice that these guys are using this for gambling. This has now become a problem as there is no age restriction and that will be hard to control in the future.
3114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills and strategies on: August 09, 2021, 08:43:22 PM
@op don't get ahead of yourself,  I think usual should take things slowly,  trading is not something you know within a short period, you must be ready to devote enough time learning some of the important strategies you can find on YouTube most especially to boost your knowledge, and this will be accompanied by several failed attempts before you can get it, so it is better to keep learning to gain more knowledge.
We can't blame people for why they think about instant because that was in their mind. However, it was not in the way we get through it, the success can't come instantly and that is why these people like OP came to fail.
This is to say that trading is not for everyone and much more it is not for impatient people. There are several tutorials available on the internet but it looks like they are getting tired to see them instead of assuming that they are good already and they will think that they can still in profit even without watching and reading them.
3115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: August 09, 2021, 03:08:51 PM
It definitely started. ETH went up to $3K and more and some others are rising. We definitely will see the rise for the whole August but what's gonna be next is hard to tell.
They are in hype for some reason and that was because of the hard fork that happens to ETH. It was likely seeing almost all altcoins are in the pump but it wasn't meant we are in the altcoins season, maybe we could say this if the market trend will keep even just a week but if not, this is just to conclude that it was only a manipulated trend.
Well, most of the time the market makes some good increase in the 3rd quarter. Maybe we are just repeating what happens in the previous years but have to remind everyone, don't get caught with the ball trap. Many had become a victim to this, just to be carefull.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 09, 2021, 01:34:59 PM
Really large and you can maximize your win if you bet on Manny and if he wins. I hope there's someone here that will share his experience using the site, I'm sure it is not hard to register and deposit money, but since there's a KYC, then probably that's another thing, someone has to be willing to submit their information will only have a chance to gamble here.

That was really a nice odds but for that .2 to .3 difference, then just stick with a crypto-betting site unless you want to comply with KYC which is a common requirement for fiat bookies.

Checking stake.com, the odds for Manny Pacquiao was now on 2.6. In a span of 2 weeks, it's playing between 2.5 to 2.6 which is already a good pick to consider.

The odds for Pacquiao's winning methods are also attractive. Let's see.

I feel like that 2.60 is already a gift, Pacquiao has not lost fights also after he loses against Marquez, so there's really a chance that he will win here. With that very attractive odds, I'm sure I will never regret betting on him even if he loses, but I'm hoping he will not lose.

There's more betting odds available now.

3117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain casino Vs Traditional casino on: August 09, 2021, 01:02:37 PM
When we say blockchain casino, it should be decentralized, but what we are using or patronizing now is just a traditional casino type but on a different type of payment method, which is crypto. There are blockchain casinos already, but they are not popular If I'm not mistaken, so traditional casinos will continue to dominate with the addition of crypto as a payment method.
3118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 12:29:13 PM

More likely he will end up in Boston, they have traded Kemba Walker, so they need a point guard now. And Dennis will be a perfect fit, however, as per report, Celtics can only offer one or two year deal. Remember that he turn down a Lakers offer of $84 million for four years. So doesn't have any good options this season, worst he could end up to his previous team - OKC. So it's really up to him and his agent, shop him around and take less money if he really wanted to get out of the Lakers.

Better than nothing at all, That point of turning down Lakers offer might reflect to him once there's no available contract for him. Else, he will accept Boston's offer and play with them, like what you said he's fit with them since Walker already went out and this team needs a good quality point guard who can also bring some good numbers.

Will wait for further updates from this dude if he'll finally land to a good team that he deserve.

If he has no choice then he has to accept that offer, after two years if he did very well with Boston, maybe the management will decide to extend him and give him a maximum contract. Hopefully, this guy will finally land a team, it's very sad if he will not get signed at all after rejecting the Lakers offer.
3119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is rising, Is this really the effect of ethereum's London hard fork? on: August 09, 2021, 11:49:34 AM
This rising of price of eth is surely the effect of $48 million in ether that is burned since london hard fork, it makes the market more alive this time and so many altcoins are now rising, so I think this is the best time to buy those top or trending altcoins and hold till the end of this year.
It is certainly a good opportunity for ETH holders but I can live in the doubt that it could drag other altcoins to have a huge pump after this.
If we just know what will happen after the ETH hard fork, people are accumulating more ETH or the leading altcoins but unfortunately, we don't have any idea (maybe some experts), so buying this time is a little bit late IMO.
Anyways, I was looking for a sustainable market gain for ETH and those projects who used this platform.
3120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What hatred do people have for Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2021, 07:10:40 AM
They hate bitcoin mostly out of bitterness and regret that they didn't invest in it early or they got scammed or they bought early but they also sold early thinking that it's going to go down permanently after selling their part of coins. I really love this kind of people because their bitterness towards bitcoin and the people who have the patience is pretty entertaining, some of them resort to fully hating bitcoin think that it will make a difference.
It is all about their market appreciations, some got the point why it exists and found it to be useful to us while some didn't. A lot of people still don't understand and they stand why they think about crypto. I didn't actually try to convince them, neither to encourage them to look on the market in order to change their mindset but it was good for them to know themselves.
It might be a sort of hatred or not, but sometimes we can't understand why these people wanted to ruin and destroy the trust of the people by simply creating FUDs and fakes reviews.
