3125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [I0C] I0coin - The Best Choice In Digital Currency on: May 21, 2017, 12:07:13 AM

Price and hash rate moving up on I0coin!

Where are you seeing the price rise?

I don't see any price rise either but the hash is up a lot at 4PH.

From Mar 11th through 20th the low was .00000556-.00000557 on Cryptopia.
Then on Apr 2 I0C made a high of .00000730.  That's a 30% rise.
I think the bottom is in place.

I said it a couple of months ago.  Get 'em while you can!

Many people are getting spooked about Bitcoin out of fear of a fork. They are moving into other cryptos.  I0coin may not be their first choice, but it is a choice for some.  That's all we need for some upward movement.

I0coin reached .000008 since I last posted.  Bottom definitely in place.

I think you're right.  Up, up, we go from here.

Shit.  Think bigger.  Think trillions!!!

I'm coming for you!!!

Sell!  Sell!  Sell!

I've been recommending ETH since $.25, it's up over 350,000% in a year, now at $127.

SELL SELL SELL.

It's at $12 billion and it might hit $20 billion but it's a massive risk here.  Dump and buy ETC at $6.

You muppets, stop following so blindly.

I, too, desire to submit a poem.

If

Haha.

That's your poem?  lol

I was laying low thinking you'd forget about this thread.
3129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What hardware do I need to start mining? on: May 17, 2017, 12:55:31 PM

Buy a couple BFL jalapeño miners.  You may have to wait two weeks to get them but for the money they're the best value for small miners like you.
3130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What hardware do I need to start mining? on: May 16, 2017, 09:00:44 AM

You're a bit late, eh?

So firstly, you need to get yourself a good sized data center...

If the creator of the coin said it's not meant to be traded, or sold/bought, it's meant to be eaten. What's the point of it still being here. I doesn't seem like the dev is currently active here anymore.

Ergo, open source hijacking.

BBQ is now my coin.

See how that works?

Let me who all want to help reboot this classic.

Are you claiming the cryptsy wallet from MicroGuy? Do you know how many coins it contains?

Yeah, haven't been able to get into it yet.  No idea what's in there.

What's the problem has big vern encrypted it, or is it corrupted?

hey vlad, nice thread, interesting. a bit of banter, a few hints, a cupla lines of humour.
what more could anybody want? can't say i understand it all (the lights are on, and i can
lift heavy things.) thought i'd share a little history, might fit this thread.
there is this lady named Ursula Southeil (c. 1488 - 1561) she is/was a phrophetess and left
a poem of her forsight. so i cherrypicked a few lines to share. (1 sec, just gotta put me wand
down and put my tinfoil hat on)

And now a word, in uncouth rhyme
Of what shall be in future time
Then upside down the world shall be
And gold found at the root of tree            --merkle--

Around the world men’s thoughts will fly
Quick as the twinkling of an eye.             --int...--

And christian one fights christian two
And nations sigh, yet nothing do
And yellow men great power gain
From mighty bear with whom they've lain.      --sounds a bit like western politic. and they may
                                                be buying up bitcoin?--

and i can't really lift heavy things. jeeez, i can't get this hat off, f%$k its meltin....

Haha!

Is that poem for real?  I have never believed such things like prophets existed anymore, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea.

I too have felt China was coming into great power very soon and it's mostly due to the moral implosion of the west which historically always leads to a society's self destruction.  So I think that poem will soon prove to be true.
3134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buyouts and Mergers in Cryptocurrencies? on: May 11, 2017, 06:52:45 AM
Anyone heard of a Cryptocurrency an open source project buying out or merging with another?

That’ll be a “no” then.

More to think upon ... https://github.com/github/dmca/blob/master/2012/2012-01-09-bitcoin.markdown

Cheers

Graham

There is more to any specific crypto currency than its code.  Much more.
3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buyouts and Mergers in Cryptocurrencies? on: May 11, 2017, 06:49:43 AM
Companies have buildings, machines, land, vehicles and many more things of value.
Cryptocoin have no substance at all and aren't regulated so any merger should turn out a pretty scam.

Why would you want to merge two coins? It's just easier to relaunch it.

A number of reasons.  Like for example, if you want the first bitcoin clone.  Or an old tested blockchain.  Or acommumity that has been well developed.  Or the bamebrand.  Or the dev team.

Many reasons why a crypto could be bought out or merged.
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buyouts and Mergers in Cryptocurrencies? on: May 11, 2017, 05:50:59 AM
Cryptocurrencies are not like companies. A coin cannot be "bought out" or "merged" with another coin.

Cryptocurrencies can be easily bought out or merged.

It hasn't happened yet but I think it will.

The Challenge:  Research Fund

Dr. Wright is offering a reward for anyone who can prove segwit increases miner incentive to forego witness data (increases risk of protocol changes without miner consent, and that it allows for unvalidated transactions.

Base reward is 15 BTC, ~$26,000.

Who else is offering the community big money to openly debate and prove via maths/code that certain protocols are flawed?  Blockstream/Core seems to want everyone to simply accept, without question, that their code as law.

That's not how Bitcoin was designed to work.

I'm looking to buy a large ammount of BLU, but I don't want to buy them of the market because of the thin order book.

Who wants to sell ? We'll use escrow, obviously. Smiley

I've got 50 million BLU to sell.  Talk to my buddy, CryptoKnightPRO.  Smiley

After reading the paste bin it seams there were 2 conversations.  Dr Wright left and returned....

Vlad, who created the Pastebin?

Multiple people who then plastered it all over reddit, slack and twitter.  I simply grabbed one.

And yeah, there was the initial interview which was the part I was interested in posting then Dr. Wright joined the room for probably a couple hours.  Then left and then came back for probably another 5 hours plus.  It got pretty busy and crazy in there.
