3121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the BEST Place to convert BTC to USD? on: June 03, 2015, 01:15:30 AM
I believe Circle has the lowest fees for US exchanges iirc, I may be wrong though.
3122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get highest free BTC? on: June 03, 2015, 01:13:33 AM
If you really want free BTC, you should go for faucets. There are several of them. Just search on google for 'BTC faucet' or 'bitcoin faucet'.

There is also the option of gambling, but in order to do that, you first need to buy BTC.

Faucets pay so very very little.  You can in most cases hope for a few cent's a hour.  It is sad, but it's true.

I suggest finding a signature campaign and joining it.   It will pay better then facet and also you would be posting anyways so win/win.  Just don't spam is the biggest thing.

How to find a signature campaign and joining? Can you please explain me bit more? I would like to do so.

just look under marketplace > services, there are a variety of sites offering campaigns, but there arent many that offer enrollment for jr members. 777coin is one that offers members of all ranks to join however. just be sure not to spam useless posts, that can get you both banned from the forum and removed from the campaign.
3123  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan of 0.12 btc on: June 03, 2015, 01:02:24 AM
many people on this forum refuse to use skype, and you state no terms on the loan you want, such as the amount you will repay and the collateral you will provide. no collateral, no loan, although I highly doubt this is a legitimate request for a loan, you may just be trying to get peoples' skype for malicious purposes.
3124  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: June 03, 2015, 12:07:00 AM
Any information about this now?

Yep the obvious information they have done a runner as expected and won't be coming back Undecided People was warned early so hopefully you guys never lost to much but who knows. Anyone have an address for them and know how much they got?

someone must have made a particularly large deposit hoping to win big with the 0% edge, usually how it goes down with these scams. unfortunate, but it happens, more often than this community would like.
3125  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Free VPS on: June 02, 2015, 11:51:10 PM
wow... ive seen a lot of giveaways here for 1 month trial of services, but 3 months for free is just fantastic. Ill definitely redeem this later in the month when i have a need for it.
3126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xscrypt.com - Premier Scrypt Cloud Mining Contracts on: June 02, 2015, 11:44:46 PM
What did I tell you, it's a blatant scam. Everything is a scam if they don't provide all proof needed in the OP. And it's sad to see senior members saying it's not ponzi cause they paid me once or twice Grin Paid for what? Shilling? Grin Lock the thread Wink

from a cursory look at some of the advertised payouts on the site, it should have been clear that site was a scam, the expected ROI was way too high to be considered a legitimate mining operation.
3127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is mining worth trying ? on: June 02, 2015, 09:34:52 PM
if you want to get into mining for profit, youre better off staying away; it wont be profitable without a large initial investment on your part. if you just want to try it out, giving legitimate cloud mining a try doesnt hurt, but be careful, lots of cloud mining operations are ponzi scams.
3128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need your opinion on: June 02, 2015, 09:00:14 PM
what mean this word a ponzi
and this site is not legitimate ? i know the signature  compaig is more legitimate but my rank is still less and i want get a bitcoin quickly

a ponzi is where investors are promised high returns over a short period of time (HYIP - high yiels investment plan) where in reality, there are no 'new' funds generated through the investment; users are given their funds "multiplied" by adding other investors' funds. say two users invest 2 btc and are promised double their invetment, one user would get 2 btc and the other would get nothing in the end as the scheme collapses.

you might want to contact the admin of girlbtc, i hear they might be looking for a developer to improve their site in many ways.
3131  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: June 02, 2015, 07:05:16 PM
its sad to see that they ran away with people money, i thought it had high potential on becoming one of the best dice sites, i guess their 0 house edge was to attract deposits only

looks like the site went scam in the time i didnt check this thread, shame too. this is exactly why people demand transparency and proof of solvency from gambling sites, I guess all eyes will be on dadice now; hopefully they wont disappear, they have a nicely designed site and a nice signature campaign going, there would be more to gain in the long run for them.
3132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join Manny Pacquiao's eSports Betting site! 100mBTC Deposit bonus! on: June 02, 2015, 06:57:30 PM
got any proof that Pacquiao is affiliated with the site? no one on this forum will believe what seems to be a blatant lie without substantial proof.
I agree. I doubt he would affiliate himself with some random not very popular bitcoin gambling site.

especially with how bitcoin is a legal gray area in the US. i am 100% sure that the pacman would not even risk his reputation as an athlete for some side profit from gambling rakes. He makes more than enough boxing already.

3134  Other / MultiBit / Re: How to Check Balance of Individual Addresses within Multibit? on: June 02, 2015, 05:45:03 PM
as the posters said earlier, electrum is the best for what you need, but if you really want to, I think you can view individual address balances by just looking up each individual address on blockchain.info under "final balance."
3135  Other / MultiBit / Re: *Multibit Wallet Help* (Sending Payment Error) on: June 02, 2015, 05:34:50 PM
the first highly possible reason for this happening is that the 0.005 in funds youve accumulated in your wallet is "dust" from several addresses assuming the wallet's label being "petty," and the transaction you are trying to make has multiple outputs resulting in the transaction size to be larger than 1000 bytes, which in turn caused the required fee for the transaction to be more than the 20,000 satoshi you have available to transact the 0.005 btc. you should try to either get some more funds to make the transaction or decrease the amount you are trying to send.
3136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need your opinion on: June 02, 2015, 05:29:29 PM
i dont think playing that game for a few satoshi is worth your time, probably better off enrolling a signature campaign and becoming active in quality posting. as said above, it would take months to even see anything close to meaningful returns, even then those returns would be pennies.

i know if play this game for the lvl 1 it's wasting time but what i want do is upgrade the lvl to lvl 5 i will recieve evry month a  $21.39 and in 4 month i will recall the amount i paid ( $89.84).Thing as i asking for it is if this company is Reliable

If it's that easy, it's a ponzi. Rule of thumb for future reference.

yup, if the return is that high for a facet-type game, theres a good chance it might be a ponzi scam where invested funds are redistributed to users. I see you enrolled in a sig campaign too, and to be honest thats a much more reliable way to earn some bitcoin on this forum.

if you still want to play a game for some bitcoin I know mybitmine has been around a while and is legitimate as far as i know.

3138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions wanted on new hard drives for the upcoming block size change... on: June 02, 2015, 05:18:35 PM
hardware prices are always a falling knife....buy it in 6 months and safe 200 USD  Wink ...

this is true as well, it might actually just be a better idea to wait and see what will actually happen with the fork, and in the meantime prices might fall quite a bit, or a new hard drive might be released with even better specs for the same price
3139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP PLEASE! Watching only wallet / how to sign/verify payments on: June 02, 2015, 05:02:09 PM
I am completely new to everything bitcoin related. I am using Electrum 2.2.
To receive bitcoins from a poker site, I created an address using the Bitcoin Core wallet.
When I realized that synchronizing takes forever, I downloaded Electrum and used the address from Bitcoin Core
to create my first Electrum wallet.
...

In order to spend bitcoins from an address, you need the private key. Only your Bitcoin Core wallet has the private key to the address you are using. You can acquire the private key from Bitcoin Core and import it into your Electrum wallet.

Start Bitcoin Core, go to the debug console, and use the "dumpprivkey" command to print out the private key. Then go to Electrum and import that private key. I don't know the details, but you can probably figure them out.

this guy is right, just having a wallet, you can see the balance as well as transactions, but you only have access to the funds and are allowed to spend them if you have the private key. its a great security, enough that i remember some guy put his encrypted wallet file up for download somewhere and challenged people to take the ~8 BTC stored on it; it was possible to see the balance as you had the wallet, but impossible to send the bitcoins to your personal address as the wallet was encrypted and you didnt have the private key.
3140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The funniest thing ever.... on: June 02, 2015, 04:56:22 PM
Isn't Xapo already a Bitcoin Bank? I've heard they will protect your coins in some cold storage computers shielded inside an underground bunker with security cameras and armed guards, sounds pretty cool.

blockchain.info does something similar as well iirc, i remember reading on their site that they store the online wallets on secure servers with a dedicated security guard and all that, but that doesn't exactly constitute a "bank" either. one of the selling point of bitcoin is that you can "be your own bank," but the idea of letting a central organization holding your bitcoin and investing it, while giving you interest like a fiat money bank, seems both interesting while it goes against the idea of decentralization.
