Sometimes I think that sites the those giveaway (and scams) persist should also be penelized accordingly so that the giveaway scams don't last even a minute. It's really unfortunate and abit shocking that the evil persists on large sites

I guess the requirements are difficult or not compatible with crypto ideals? In my opinion, true crypto-based "crowdfunding/fund-raising means" should be very decentralized... And a more general name for such funding means should probably be adopted to reduce the confusion in names. In my opinion, ICO is more suitable as general name compare to others, but it isn't the most suitable general name that can be used. Maybe Intial Public Cryptocurrency Offering(IPCO)?
Anyway, a true Intial Public Crypto Offering should be: — Decentralized — Transparent — Anonymous/Private (kyc can still apply here without violating this principle — Permissionless/trustless — Immutable — Secure —Consensus driven etc
These ^ and other important principles will make crypto-based crowdfunding good, more attractive for true crypto people and safe/secure.

I think operating in Open Space with Barriers (probably stanchions like barriers used in banks), plus others important safety measures seem to be one of the most sensible measures to take to protect customers, workers and the employers. These should make it hard for them to have a successful case against the good/safe betting businesses/casinos. That will become good proofs that the businesses are doing the right thing hence unlikely to spread the disease to people.

If this is about tackling betting addiction, I would suggest that they make certain types of betting games/competition less attractive than they currently are. One of the reasons people get addicted is the "Fun aspect". It's part of what keeps bringing back bettors despite losing and being unprofitable/unproductive. If they are unable to resist the urge to bet, it's likely due to the fun. If you must make your betting sites/centers fun, make sure you don't allow bad games, you don't permit gambling, your games are safe, players learn useful things while playing, the games develop the players to become useful members of their societies etc

I don't think the government is ready to fix the problem of gambling in casino once and for all. You can't say you are regulating drunkenness or heavy drinkers while calling places people go to drink "drunkenness spots". Betting ≠ Gambling. Taking too much risk in betting centers (& with non-betting related things) is gambling. It's a mistake that needs to be corrected in the laws first, in order to avoid more confusions and mistakes. I worry they will continue to run around in circles trying to understand and fix a problem.
By the way, the wealthy and poor gamble with their money in casino/betting centers. It seems the government is only focused on poor casino gamblers? They could as well do thesame thing with gamblers in stock/forex/crypto trading and good traders would be limited from trading with sufficient funds. A good sports bettor for example should be able to bet above those limits placed by the government.

I know of several people who have developed mental problems as a result of smoking weed. Three of them have very serious problems.
Ofcourse! I have heard this alot while growing up. It's one of the reasons I avoided it alot. I wonder if research has be done in this regard...i mean the link with smoking the plant and mental illness. I have my own theories(and truth): Overdoes? evil spirits, human mind filled with evil(or the mind filled with bad information), unhealthy body? Fear and sin...

One of the key SOP for COVID19 is contact less transaction and deliveries. Most vendors are now upselling this service and most consumers are going for it. In my opinion digital currency will now become an everyday necessity.
But the problem with digital currency is that it can be easily tracked hence, you can forget your privacy.
Well, you don't just forget your privacy because it's digital currency...you can implement strong privacy features and make tracking innocent users difficult. It should also be possible to use digital currency (like crypto) as you would normally use physical currency

They are basically similar in the sense that they involve price prediction or betting on price. I guess in all three you can buy & sell for short-term profits, exchange one currency/stock for another, hold for longterm gains, have similar charts for trading etc. Learning to trading either of them first is like learning to ride a two wheeled transportation machine like bicycle. If you learn to ride bicycle, riding different kinds of two-wheeled motorcycles become a bit familiar and easy

In my opinion, one of the safest, easiest, cheapest, solid DIY method to store in different locations is almost free, but people will probably not like it because it not that cool. The best things tend to be free and widely available but look too ordinary/common... so people go for the cool, complicated, hard-to-make, not-so-secure ones, and they really trust and like them.

I think one of the things I find most attractive about the other project is how decentralized and customizable it is. What am yet to fully understand is whether it ties its staking to consensus. Seems to be one of the few altcoin projects that really understand satoshi vision. Just hope they continue to see all users as network participants and always carry everyone along.

Computers/AI can't stop the will of GOD(for those who know & believe HE exists) and they can't by themselves , without the guidance of GOD(the true CREATOR of everything) take the right decision that will lead humanity to good path or path that does not lead to evil, choas, & destruction. I think man-made *independent* "smart things" can't be consistently moral because the CREATOR's spirt does not dwell in "temple" made with human hands. Computer/AI will even need to be completely developed(if GOD approves) by humans who have the SPIRIT of GOD in them. The computer/AI has to be totally subjected to GOD's law and will, and constantly guided by those who have GOD's SPIRIT in them. You really need to always do what is right in the sight of GOD to have HIS SPIRIT dwell in you always.

Interesting. But I wonder if that won't make the male and female players to be be too careful to avoid bumping against each other and mistakenly touching things (esp the hidden parts) that men/women shouldn't touch(esp intentionally) without consent.
Female referees and Female coaching men are OK as long the female coach is careful when playing with the men... Same as male coaching female players

An interesting topic, it's a pity that I didn't see it before. I would like to see another selection called "10 Years Later" ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) So that you can see how these people used their wealth (of course, such a selection should not include initially rich people who made large bets). Ofcourse. I wonder though if you are suggesting that those who won such amounts (specifically those who weren't rich before the huge wins) may not be able to properly utilize the huge wins? I think It depends on people(assuming you think they might not use the money well). I am confident that not all big bet not-formerly-rich winners misuse their huge wins. By the way, I think if people are possibly worried about misuse, they could help teach such winners how to use their wins properly.

Interesting. Betting big to win a block... This is fair difinition of gambling in my opinion. You have a high minimum amount of money to bet on block/fees, and lose it if the bet is lost, correct? It really a big risk or gambling (assuming no one can afford to lose the minimum amount). And It seems that bettors could still keep betting more of the "high minimums" to increase their chances of winning?

if indeed the institution firms will join the BTC, then it is certain the price will be higher, and BTC will become a commodity of trading assets. because if only as a transaction tool, the price is too volatile. the potential for a dump and pump is suddenly too large
Well, that shouldn't be the right way to solve the problem of extreme price volatility. There are safe and decentralized ways to minimize volatility that will not rely on centralized entities. Imagine a group of foreign cells regulating the human body from the outside. That's how cryptos hope to solve problems in their decentralized networks.

Has youtube explained why such scams still thrive despite trying to stop them? I wonder how the company will cope if it has thousands of such ads buying up ad space everyday to scam their customers.
Well, I wish companies (decentralized ones esp) could experiment with some viable decentralized model of moderating sites. That will make moderation way faster, transparent and difficult for scams.

I notice they even have the lower time rapid bullet moves: Hyperbullet (30-second-per-player) and Ultrabullet (15-second-per-player). I guess a good player should be able to understand and quickly predict what its opponent will do, right? Sounds like "understand, predict & play" will play a big role in the outcome of the quick move games.
Yes and no. Any world class player needs some time to think about their next move, especially in "mid game". Opening sequence and end game can happen very quickly. If you look at the World Championships, only Magnus Carlsen held all 3 titles at the same time (rapid, blitz and regular). This because chess game is really a broad game when it comes to strategic move and defenses. It is really hard to outsmart pro players so everygame is a tough game. It is just one have to do analyzation on the opponnents favorite move and how can one avoid it. Making it online makes.it easier.to.analyze the opponents move in the videos that could be replay again. So I am positive that chess game could be able to be added in the esports games with geniuses players around the world. The video part is interesting. I guess an alternative to that in physical chess game would be to attend most of your favorite player/players games and observe his methods from start to finish, and possibly record him playing, if that is allowed. I suspect some have tricks they would never reveal to anyone

It's meaningless to make crypto illegal, just as it's meaningless to stop people from using stones for trading. So stopping people from using it will not work unless you really have a tyrannical/lawless system in place.
People can always exchange goods and services amongst themselves without a third party/centralized system and without breaking the Law.
Perhaps they will stop calling it crypto and still use decentralized/peer-to-peer method with native community-owned coin/token to pay for goods and services

If everyone or most people stop paying taxes, the robots would do what needs to be done through hard work & people would begin to have less right than the robots in an evil society. Imagine what that means.
Well robots do not pay tax and as such the government would still be at a loss. But on a more serious note, tax payment is not preventing the introduction of technology into different sectors, that's bound to happen sometime in the future to some extent. The quoted discussion was about tax refunds, which basically means you were overcharged previously and not about tax defaults. If you must print more coins (which I see nothing wrong in), print for people who are working and serving their communities well and the right way.
I don't see any right way to arbitrarily print more money. It removes financial security from savings, if more could simply be printed and injected into select markets and further undermines a free economy. Well, I think if robots/AI do most of the jobs that people are supposed to do, people will find them more valuable/important than humans. They will be paid more. The independent/smart ones (or those not owned by anyone) will pay taxes. They will likely pay taxes if they are running around and using the roads, fuel, buildings etc, or the charges will "typically" go to their owners. You have to understand the future they want for robot/AI to understand that taxing them are likely. Cars and other machines are taxed, I don't see why they won't tax robots esp the independent ones. In regards to printing money, I think it can work well (almost automatically) in a system with well decentralized setup and Bitcoin principles.
