Welcome to computers 101? Given the necessary skill, most things that can be abused will be abused (via scripts). The worst part is that bounties that are not properly managed (like the old airdrop of Rubius) by people who are aware of all these shenanigans are (and will be) victims to bounty abusers.
Three reasons: 1) Bad forum policy. 2) Bad bounty managers. 3) Cheap projects (would hire a $50/week "manager" over a $500/week one[1] any day of the week).
[1] 2 random numbers, but I'm sure you're going to find people offering services at both price points.

If the rules dictate that it has to cost something for it to be considered a 'raffle' and not be placed in the Games & Rounds section, then make it $1 entry[1] - 1 ticket per person and dump it to some charity. That way you bend the rules and not much changes. Still, someone has to clarify this.

Many of us know the inherent costs of minting a coin and all extras that go with it....
If you are loosing money on a 5oz silver coin while charging 0.1BTC for it, you are doing something extreeeeeeeemly wrong on your end.
To believe that the profitability margin isn't ridiculous would be ridiculous.  The coin looks nice, but that price warrants some more of the fine ol' silver. But we thought it would be really neat to incorporate Vedder's work into a physical coin. It has never been done before and we personally appreciate what Vedder portrayed. We really liked his philosophical concepts and his presentation. And we figured his work would be much appreciated on a coin.

My thoughts: Either you are living in a forum-like cave, or you are farming accounts as well. Because the following is completely backwards: 2. Enough smerit is not available in the market to fulfil the needs of all the new "genuine and real" newbies that join the forum.
There is a lot more merit to give than there is content that is worth giving it to.
Any kind of automated distribution of merit will defeat the purpose of this already very fragile system (hint: tens of thousands of farmed jr. members). |

In my opinion, if users can not find interesting, deserved threads to give their sMerits away. They should have rights to keep their sMerits forever.
Yes, but that has downsides as well. Maybe there should be a difference between when they expire on a active vs. inactive account. However, they must never be redistributed in any way or form (as some shitposters suggested in the past). Another day, and I'm still having to lug a bag of merits around.

Ah, so this is the reason the price spiked 20%. Definitely a good sign. I shall take a look at the whitepaper when I get home. The Whitepaper release is a good news. I will definitely read this document. It should be interesting. I believe in the project, i believe in the team. I'm still HODL (buying and mining  ) The majority of the content in this so called "whitepaper" has no place being in a whitepaper; fallacies all around in a novel type enclosure. You have to be deeply invested or loaded with kool-aid to think that it has any substance let alone to think that it is a good "paper".
Bonus: Also filled with lies such as Schnorr Signatures

Counterwallet is a broken platform.
Here are better solutions to the problem, either: a) Issue a ERC20 token. b) Create your own chain.
Afterwards provide a proof-of-burn method for claiming your equivalent of the new token/coin. Listing it somewhere would be much easier, but I'm afraid that some of the top exchanges are still going to abuse their position. However, even if you decide to go with one of these options that would mean that everything else would be even further delayed. |
