3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 04, 2022, 08:36:14 PM
Do we need to wait more 1- 2 years then buy alts now before right before bull market kick in?
no one knows to what extent the decline will continue, but the very right thing to invest long-term is to buy slowly in each drop.
In the next 1-2 years I think we will go through a lot of bulls and bears, so make your choice quickly and do your best to benefit yourself in the future.
and I suggest that you buy now, the decline that continued to occur last week has stopped and now the market price movement tends to be stable, so there is a big possibility that there will be a big wave in the near future.
Everyone knows what is the extent of the drop, we dropped there and stopped and right now things are a lot better. I get that some people are waiting for a lot worse but the reality is that it will not get that much worse. It is doing good right now and it will just stay here.

I thought it could go down even more as well but it stopped and not doing that anymore. Sure it could go back down to 28k time to time but that is about it and I do not think that it will go any lower, it could just get there and recover to 31k and keep repeating that and I do not think that anything else will happen and this is why I believe that we should not be worried.
3142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: June 04, 2022, 02:45:52 PM
I know I sound like I keep repeating myself, but if you read up from the past, you know that the adoption of mobile payments is the way to go. We have a ton of exchanges, the most commonly known are binance, coinbase and crypto.com websites. Instead of having like debit cards or anything, just have mobile phone apps that you could pay from, like read a QR code to pay type of stuff.

This may not be common in the world right now, but I guarantee you 100% that we will no longer have POS machines in the future, all banks will move towards shops having tablets with bank app and qr code to get paid, and people will pay via mobile phones with bank app by reading the qr code, get in there as an exchange and help people pay with their exchange app instead of bank app and you will get adopted rapidly.
3143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 04, 2022, 12:58:32 PM
It's not that Bitcoin has never crashed, it's that compared to the crashes, Bitcoin's market even in the long term still holds some guarantee that you can profit compared to other altcoins just from looking at its decade of history. It's a tried and tested investment so to speak. You'd never go wrong with investing on it for the long term, short term is another thing though since shorting Bitcoin is like shorting any other coin out there, unknown, risky, volatile, etc.
This is the reason why people invest into bitcoin. Yes, you may have seen a bit of a fall here and there in bitcoin, but when has it never recovered? We all know that it never failed, not even once, it always went back up again and profited people. This is why if you invest into bitcoin right now, when it is low, there is a "guarantee" feeling that it will recover and go high.

Of course, nobody could tell you that it is guaranteed to recover, nobody can guarantee that it won't go to 1 dollar, but do you really believe that it would happen? It will go up and we all know it, and that is why we are accumulating so much from the current price.
3144  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 04, 2022, 05:05:55 AM
There have been more than 1k retweets and the competition seems pretty tight, but I guess it's a random selection I'll be participating in because the prizes are pretty hefty $60 per person.

Lately, there have been a lot of giveaway contests on twitter. I often see a lot about it, so enthusiastic about it, at least this casino has a lot of fans.
I believe that these type of giveaways and other marketing stuff do bring a lot of people and it should not be shocking that there would be thousand that would be joining this one as well because they are going to get something free from this and there are millions of people in the world chasing free stuff all online, and tens of thousands of people who do the same thing on the crypto world as well and that is not a shock.

Roobet has been known as a company that has been doing marketing amazingly, they are charging higher house edge in return of giving a lot more for the people and that is why I believe that we should be accepting this as an amazing marketing again.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 03, 2022, 10:08:38 PM
Was it a mistake? Sure.
Was it a Ferrari Mistake? Not so sure, to me was a Sainz mistake.
About RBR, did they go against the rules? Sure
Should they get both a penalty? Sure
Did they "change" the regulation for the second time after gifting the title to Max the past year? Yes.

Again...  It's just another case that Ferrari should just own up to their mistakes, whatever they may be and whoever may have caused it.  I mean it's not the first time their team has botched a race because of questionable calls.  I was surprised that there were Binotto memes all over Reddit among the realest F1 fans saying 'they're at it again.'.

And listen to the audio in Leclerc's radio comm with the team.  The double command showed that the pressure was onto the team and they were starting to break down.  And true enough, they did.  Leclerc was the best guy out there that weekend and his team let him down.
They lost a whole season because of mistakes like this, they have been horrible for a long time, at least 6 years by my calculation. They need to get rid of Binotto first, that is the culprit, if they get rid of him, then whoever comes next could end up working harder and maybe end up getting some new people every position.

I doubt that the problem is with the people who change the tires, they are good enough, it is the strategists that make the mistakes. This means that if you change Binotto, 2 race engineers, and one strategist, then those 4 could bring them the title. But as long as they have these ones, I do not think that it would work at all.
3146  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 03, 2022, 04:20:25 PM
OP, that chart is just from first of March to end of May. That's merely 3 months, and not enough data to say that the correlation has truly weakened. When in doubt, always zoom out. Can you post the link of the site, and can we zoom out?

This is the zoomed out chart from CoinMetrics, https://charts.coinmetrics.io/correlations/

The correlation is currently in ATH. I believe it's because Bitcoin has become very mainstream and has surged in adoption among legacy market investors/traders.
That’s the thing though, when you are talking about "begins to weaken" that means it has begun, if you zoom out then you are looking at the general situation and not just right now. In order to see the short period of time and what it is doing, you need to zoom in and when you zoom in you start to see that it has weakened a bit, not a lot but just a bit.

This doesn't mean that it has started to weaken and will keep going like that, of course it may not go like that as well but we all know that it at least "started" and this is how you see it, not by zooming out. I personally feel like the correlation could get even worse, because market doesn't always react the same things, and if it is not a global thing, then it may not be relevant all the time.
3147  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🌴Summer Hangout event for $500 000🌴|🎨 Branded TofuNFT Giveaway on: June 03, 2022, 02:56:38 PM
The more you wager the more rewards you will get is not something done for the poor person, it is done for the whale and I agree that unless you have a huge fund, do not attempt to break into it.

I believe that the best thing you could do with gambling here would be to earn as much tokens as you can, BFG is great in the sense that there are multiple ways of making money, so you could earn it for free from faucet, get it from boxes, earn dividends, stake, whatever you do always focus on making that bigger. In that way, you are guaranteed to lose money while gambling because of the house edge, but at least you are getting something in return.
3148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook |250k$ Easter giveaway | VIP | on: June 03, 2022, 01:26:10 PM
I guess it's because of the business rivalry between fellow gambling platforms who want to see their rivals tampered with on their competitor's sites.
The DDOS attack will temporarily attack the gambling site but if the gambling site has a qualified security team, the DDOS attack will not affect the site.
We will never know who launched the DDOS attack and can only guess.
That is why a business on the internet must have a security team who is an expert in their field to deal with DDOS attacks that will come to their site.
That is the type of thing that makes it a lot worse for other casinos though. If I had a casino, I would rather see my competition line at all times and doing their best and losing, if there is an attack then it could rally people behind it based on the attack and use it to victimize itself and that could get attention from people.

Maybe I am wrong and these attacks scared off some gamblers, but if Duelbits could talk about the numbers, I am pretty sure that they are getting probably more people now. Mainly from what I am feeling, I do not know if others feel the same way, I just feel like gambling more here because they have been attacked like this.
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin's transparency be its downfall? on: June 03, 2022, 09:02:45 AM
I understand that there is a worry about the transparency and I understand that this could be used as a narrative against it. But at that point, you need to ask yourself, is fiat any better?

Obviously it is not that better but at the same time it is not going to be something that would be not followed neither, you are at the palm of the governments in that situation as well. Hence, we should not be really worried about the current situation and we should go with crypto and we would be a lot better and happy with it as well. That is at least what I think, maybe I am wrong but that is what I believe and fiat is always much worse than crypto.
3150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Nearly Bailed Me Out on: June 03, 2022, 05:32:01 AM
I did something similar to this recently. Unfortunately I am not doing great financially neither, I am doing fine thank god, but my nation has such a high inflation right now that people barely survive, so I am good compared to them.

But, I of course need money like any human in the world, even Jeff Bezos wants more money, so me wanting more shouldn't be a shock even though I am not starving or in poverty. I checked my poloniex which I haven't checked in many many years, and I had to try a lot and contact support and many other things, all of which turned out ot be absolutely nothing and had zero in it Cheesy So not all of these stories end up with a fairly tale ending.
3151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 02, 2022, 09:36:33 PM
Wiggins maybe assigned to defend Jaylen Brown and Draymond Green's mission is to stop Boston's leading super star Jayson Tatum. It is unfortunate that Boston is facing a very experienced team in the finals. But everything is set. Boston should show that they are also good defensively and they can shut down Warriors' scorers. And that they also have enough fire power to combat Warrior's shooting.
They will be left with nothing below the paint if that happens. Looney may not be able to handle Horford and Grant Williams to take the rebound. If Draymond will defend guards then the paint will be left wide open for an attack or an offensive rebound.
They still have Klay Thompson and I am sure as hell he could defend Jaylen Brown. That will not be a hard task for him, they may also be a good match.
The fast switch will be the troublesome feat but GSW is used to it sugarcoating their weak side which is Steph but are the Celtics prepared if it will be the Warriors doing the same strategy. I wish they are.
I believe that when you look at it as "small ball 5" that will not be the case. Like imagine Curry- Poole - Wiggins - Klay - Draymond five on the court at the same time, obvious that Klay can't play the PF position, nor any other of the four there, Draymond can play C but there is no PF there, hence it will not be a common thing, but at times they can test that out when celtics have their own small ball line up.

Aside from that Looney will be 5, and Draymond will be 4, and that's it, they will defend their own positiosn, maybe with some switching but that's it, they have done it before and they can do it again, they even got outrebounded but still managed to make it work.
3152  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter to pay $150 million for selling users data for Ads on: June 02, 2022, 07:00:09 PM
I have heard several times from start-up companies claiming that their consumer data was hacked, from the start I believed that it might not have been hacked but sold, it can be seen that email and my mobile phone received offers from insurance, and many services offered and I never knew before.
That is because 99% of the companies that do not charge you anything for using it (like facebook, twitter, instagram, google etcetc) all make money from ads. What does ads achieve? They sell stuff to people who are interested in those things. Like for example my twitter is filled with ads regarding crypto, and all from crypto companies.

Because, twitter basically sold my data to those companies, even if they do not directly give (which OP shows that they actually did) it means that any company could say "people interested in crypto" and twitter will show it to me, hence it is basically selling my data the same way, just not directly.
3153  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 02, 2022, 01:44:47 PM
fiulpro posted an interesting concept about NFT Slot Machines, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5400899.0

Can a concept like it be built within a Bitcoin casino like Blackjack.Fun? I believe NFT collecting through games can be turned into a more sustainable hobby than betting money away. It would also make the same users keep coming back to the site, creating a dedicated community of collectors.
Could it be? Yes, but will it be? I do not think so. There is really no reason to do something like that because it will not really be worthy of the profit they could make.

The biggest concern of any business in the world would be to make a profit, and even if you could make a profit with something, if it is not enough then it makes no sense. Think about it this way, if you spent 6 months working on something, and it gives you 10 bucks per month, would you do it? I would not do it even if it paid me 10 bucks per month forever until I die, it just doesn't worth 6 months of my time. So, it is not even just about spending money, even spending time matters in this situation.
3154  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: June 02, 2022, 11:50:26 AM
Worlds economy is going to shit these days. I do not think that any of us will have enough time and money to make anything extra. I fear that every dollar, even cent that we get, will go towards surviving. Let’s be honest, the day we are living right now is nothing like 10 years ago, let alone 50 years ago, we are in a situation where everything sucks.

We are barely making any money at all, and we are doing horrible at this moment. People age between 20 to 40 do not have enough money to survive, they barely go by. Most of us do not even own homes, only if our family has enough to help us, that’s it. So, it is really not possible to save these days, it is getting worse each day.
3155  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 01, 2022, 09:01:01 PM
Miracles do happen and this is one of them. Guess what, despite all the odds, the bitcoin has managed to pump above 30,000$ which no one was expecting but i did show a hint of possibility yesterday  Smiley

I have found a sort of pattern that if the bitcoin dumps on the weekend, it usually pumps on a Monday morning and this pump continues till Wednesday before its starts to dump again. This may sound ridiculous but i have observed this pattern number of times.  Wink
Damn, this bet was quite thrilling but unfortunately I didn't win the bet. I was very close to winning though.
If the price would have pushed a few more dollars then it could have been above $2000 and I would have won.
But it was quite of a thrill to watch BTC dump so much and then recover price at the last moment.
You did well enough, you should have seen me lol Cheesy. I wagered on 40k-42.5k range thinking that I would be winning so much more, the odds were insane for it as well and I believed that we may recover there. Of course we didn't but at that time it looked like a good idea, I do not know why.

In any case, 30k+ is good and I am glad that some people won, the under 30k and over 30k bets were both quite close to each other in odds, a lot of people wagered on those and even 32+  level one became third so it was obvious that people believed it would be just under or just over that and I am glad that it ended over because higher price means making profit.
3156  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 31, 2022, 09:34:34 PM
It’s obvious that Canadians (or in any not allowed nation) are not suppose to gamble here, which means that you should stay away and find a place that accept it. Forcing your way into this place as a Canadian opens the doors for Roobet to end up banning you and in that case you wouldn't be happy about the situation.
What is more obvious is that you are obviously wrong. According to the term of service, there is no single word that prohibits Canada to play on Roobet. The only thing that users from Canada couldn't do is to play some specific slots game which the snippet of the TnC already mentioned above and also already addressed by @Apocollapse.
Yeah I also said the same thing above that there are only few playing restrictions to the Canadian players but they can still play over the available games on Roobet. As it can be seen from the image they are addressing Ontario players which means they already have players from there who are enjoying their time over there so it's all available in there information page.
That is what I am talking about, I am sorry if it was understood as the whole website, I did not mean that way. I meant that people who wanted to play the games that are not allowed for them who end up doing VPN to illegally play there anyway.

This wasn't even just directed at Canadians, it was just "if there is a limitation for where you are, do not use VPN to bypass that rule" and a general stuff. I am sorry to misinform anyone who understood me wrong or thought that Canadians in general can't play here. It is just that there are some nations who are banned completely, and some partially, and you should not use VPN to bypass that, that's my point.
3157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 31, 2022, 08:48:27 PM
I do agree that Haaland is a much better deal for sure, however the reason why it was such a great deal was the fact that for some reason there was a contract thing for Haaland that could be bought for 75 million and that is super cheap for such a great player.

Normally, if the contract didn't had a release clause like that then City couldn't buy him for 75 million, he would have been a lot, it would be at least 150 million or so. In that situation then Kane would have been better because he would be much cheaper, in a day and age where Zlatan plays until he is 40+ years old, I am sure Kane could have offered at least 5 more years, probably more as well, and would be cheaper. So, it is the release clause that made Haaland a better deal.
3158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: May 31, 2022, 06:58:42 AM
It was basically a bad method that I learned about it. I was looking for any money to make, like anything at all because I was too poor at the time.

I was going around online trying to find ways to make money and it wasn't always great methods, it was never illegal, never scamming anyone, but it wasn't glorified stuff neither, like farming gold in games and so forth, spent like 18 hours a day on some weird games that I did not even like, I wouldn't play them if there wasn't money in it, but the gold worth something and I could make like 4-5 dollars a day from it and for me that was good. Then I learned about bitcoin and 4-5 dollars daily never became a subject again, I made so much more here.
3159  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your fill the bag Bitcoin price? on: May 30, 2022, 09:58:40 PM
I do not have any price that doesn't make me -want to fill the bag right now. It's obvious that the price will reach 100k+ one day, and even 200k+ and even more, so if I trust that it may even reach 1 million dollars in my life time, why shouldn't I buy from any price that we have seen so far.

I was happy to buy at under 1k when I first saw it, was happy to buy at around 3k to 6k range when it happened in 2018, and was happy to buy even at 57k which was my highest. I will keep on buying until I die, because that's how I believe I will become rich, maybe I will be wrong, but I am going to keep trying until I fail, or until I succeed, one of which will happen, either I will become rich, or die poor.

Honestly, everyone talks about the mistake Ferrari Pit team made and I agree that it was a horrible mistake. But between telling him to stay out (just a bit too late) and seeing how nothing was ordinary for this race, I have to say that it may have been normal for them to make some mistakes at least. I mean yes, it cost them the race but what a race it was, it was definitely not an ordinary race and that is why I understand that they may have made some mistakes.

You can't really calculate such a race, it is very hard, they didn't know when slicks should be on, and this caused them to make some mistakes and that is totally understandable, I believe they will learn something from this at least.
