Liverpool is good going forward this season, but it happens too often that we lose control of the game - especially in the winning situations. City is simply more balanced throughout the season and the table shows that.
The table really does show that bro, City are 10 points ahead of Chelsea, and also 11 points away from Liverpool though the reds have played a game less, that's a real massive points advantage for City and tbh all I can see is them extending it and going on to retain their title, honestly it was a three horse race at the start of the season, but it's changing pretty fast into City basically just strolling to the title while the other teams compete for one of the top four spots.

IIRC, City play Chelsea next, and if they can manage to get all three points in that one then I think it's all but over, Pep has really built a fantastic team of serial winners and I give them all the credit they deserve and everyone can see that through their dominance in England, what's left is for them to win the CL, and it's possible they get that this season.
3142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: January 02, 2022, 01:04:35 PM
There's this particular saying in crypto ''Hodling coin can make you rich in crypto''. I keep asking myself how long will that be? You can hodl a specific coin for years, still, yet their price remaineth the same.
Our crypto investment is for us to earn profits, once you have seen the profits, withdraw.  It is not a must to keep hodling for years. An altcoin can skyrocket 100x value with months of invention
The thing is, people ought to understand that there is no certain way to get rich quick, many newcomers have the mindset that they are basically just coming into this network to just get rich and leave, it does not work that way and that's where a lot of people make mistakes. Holding is a great strategy, it does but mean there's an assurance it's going to make your rich, and holding is not for everyone or just any coin.

Long term investors prefer to hodl, and they hodl Bitcoin cause it's sustainable for the long term, and if you do your research into it's price movement you'll know it's impossible for the price of Bitcoin to remain just static, it is volatile, so it can move both ways, but based on history, if you hold for long, there's a high chance it'll move up and you'll make good return on investment. Short term investors only stay in the network for a short time, and they mostly go for altcoins just cause majority of them are pump and dump coins that can give great returns in a very short time, but mind you that it could also crash in a shorter time.
3143  Other / Archival / Re: Don't use institutional BTC purchases as a signal of imminent growth on: January 02, 2022, 12:04:20 PM
do not use the report on the next purchases of bitcoin by large institutions as a signal of imminent and further growth.
If you're talking about the price of Bitcoin, then you're correct, investors should not be certain that with the presence of every new institutional investor there is going to be an appreciation in the price of Bitcoin, it can happen in your favor a couple of times, but it's not a guarantee, just like the entire network itself, but mind you that since there are no assurances in the network, this strategy may not be too bad for short term traders, so long as they do not invest more than they can lose. Having said that, I take the Influx of institutional investors as a sign of growth and development for the network (not the immediate price), it actually means more people and establishments believe in the network, and it is the very step that'll gradually take us to mass adoption.

Raphinha transfer claim made as Liverpool told to seal January switch
Glen Johnson has claimed Liverpool should sign Raphinha to deputise for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, both forwards depart for the African Cup of Nations this month leaving Jurgen Klopp short of attacking options.
Raphinha is a very good player, but I don't think he'll move to Liverpool cause at the moment he is going to get the idea that the reds are only interested in his signature because two of their attacking players are both going to the African Cup of Nations to represent their national team. What of when they are back? That'll automatically mean that Raphinha would get very little game time once Salah and Mane return, in my opinion, that's enough reason for the player to turn down this move. And then again, it seems Bayern Munich are also interested in his signature, it's much better if he joins the German giants, he'll prolly do better there than in Liverpool.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 02, 2022, 10:59:47 AM
Arsenal tried well and they were really pressing Manchester City in the starting. They were almost dominating them in first 20-30 minutes. Another goal for Arsenal would have been great and would have created much more pressure on City. I really hoped that City would drop some points there but now they have drifted further leaving quite some gap between them and Liverpool and Chelsea.
The outcome of the game didn't go according to my expectation, I expected City to dominate the game, but the reverse was the case, it was pretty obvious which was the better team, and that team happens to be Arsenal, though unlucky to leave without any point, they played with real spirit and showed character, Mikel Arteta is building an Arsenal team that would start competing for titles very soon, they have been out of the 'picture' for quite a while now, but sooner or later that's going to change.

Having said that, as for City, that's a big step in retaining their title, they have established themselves as clear title favorites and at the end of the season I'd be surprised if another team becomes champion, City are firing on all cylinders as they keep extending their lead at the summit, it's very possible that by the end of March or so, the league could be all but over.
3146  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy New Year on: December 31, 2021, 11:25:10 PM
Ugh, I'm really hoping so because this year was one of the worst I've experienced--for a number of reasons, which I won't bore anyone with.  But I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard, because there seems to be bad news popping up from everywhere on a daily basis.
Definitely not, the year wasn't the best for quite a lot of people, myself included, but asides the negatives of the year, we can at least smile for a couple of positives that the year offered us as well, and as the saying goes: "once there is life, there is hope", so obviously we can hope for a better 2022. I'm saying a big happy New Year to all forum members, and this is actually coming from my heart cause this forum has been a huge part of me every year since i joined, and thus I'm happy for the users that make up the forum, I wanna see you all win and I wish everyone good health, covid-free and joyful new year.

what a new year it is. the top 4 clubs fight each other and playing at the same day , entertainment goal achieved!
liverpool to lose against chelsea ... so do arsenal beat manchester city unexpectedly , that would be a perfect match for chelsea fans like me.
Yeah of course it's going to be a very nice treat on new years day, very crucial matches are going to be played, and in my opinion, this games could be decisive in the title race and maybe even in the fight for a top four spot, City need to win to maintain and cement their position at the summit which I think they'll do, contrary to your prediction, lol, and then Chelsea v Liverpool looks so much like a draw to me, if they draw, and City wins, I think that will be the perfect boost for City to go on and be champions at the end of the season. Whatever the outcome is going to be, I'm pretty sure we're in for an entertaining matchday that will prolly be filled with lots and lots of goals.
3148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 31, 2021, 10:36:01 PM
According to reports,Aubameyang of Arsenal is contemplating on changing club, since the relationship between him and Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is getting worse..
It's not just his relationship with Arteta that has fallen apart, but with the entire club, Arsenal are yet to fully disclose what exactly it is that Aubameyang committed, but what we know is that it definitely was an act of indiscipline, and personally I'd advise the Gabonese to look for another club, it looks more like his time in Arsenal is all but over, and since he still has something to offer, then he should switch club, and maybe rediscover his form and be more disciplined.

Having said that, another reason why Arteta wouldn't even be considering reintegrating Aubameyang into the team is that since his absence, Arsenal have been on fire and winning games in a row, they have been impressive without him than they have been with him this season, thus that's even enough reason to completely keep him out of the team.
3149  Other / Meta / Re: Have you had the feeling of a certain arbitrariness by moderators? on: December 31, 2021, 08:05:28 AM
In my opinion, Mods do not take arbitrary decisions, they have the forum rules to guide them when drawing conclusions on a particular case, but since the forum tries to allow as much freedom (of speech especially) as possible, their decisions could differ from one another on the basis of how a particular moderator interpretes/understands the rules and maybe depending on how lenient a mod is.

More often than not users get pissed off when they have a 'good' post deleted, and it could be that the user had their posts reported and the mod that handled the case felt it was worth deleting, on another day with a different mod the post could prolly not be deleted, that's the slight difference that exists while handling such cases, and it is the same reason why some topics you feel are 'off-topic' and you report them do not get deleted.
3150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 30, 2021, 06:58:01 PM
So I had a great holiday season all with the help of Bitcoin I came from an underdeveloped country where the rate of unemployment is pretty high and many youths are left to do some hard jobs just to survive even graduates with University degrees have no paying jobs...
The situation in your country is somewhat similar to mine, we're stuck with corrupt leaders time and again, so things like unemployment, lack of basic amenities, etc is very common over here, as such many people seek alternative means to make a living. Bitcoin adoption is growing everyday and the youths are jumping at it, it's actually great cause the rate of inflation is skyrocketing and cost of living is going high. Bitcoin is a great hedge as it can be used to curtail fiat devaluation and that's why there is an influx of ndividuals and institutional investors into the network.

Having said that, it is great to offer services and get paid in Bitcoin, but it's also paramount to either set up a business or try as much as possible to get a job in real life, Bitcoin is somewhat volatile, so it makes sense to also have an additional income other than what you earn in BTC.
3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk guesses who bitcoin's mysterious creator Satoshi Nakamoto is on: December 30, 2021, 06:41:15 PM
A part of me somewhat thinks that Elon does not really mean most of the things he says as regards Bitcoin, but just does it so as to remain relevant in the network, and maybe sometimes cause manipulation, if you understand this whole scenario about who Satoshi is, you'll understand that actual Bitcoin users do not really care too much about who Satoshi is, not that they would not like to know, but just being in the network and benefiting from Satoshi's creation outweighs their desire to actually know who the creator is. But on the other hand, it's people who have openly said negative things about the network and do not actually believe in it that are so much concerned about who Satoshi is and are even trying to impersonate Satoshi.
3152  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk Newbie of the Year 2021[Voting] on: December 30, 2021, 02:32:13 PM
But in this case, ill choose this user n0nce  cause he did a lot of things here in the forum he share his knowledge with everyone here. Here's
This user has already been nominated more than once, in my opinion, there's no need to nominate a user more than once, if your favorite candidate has been nominated already, then you can either just wait till when the voting commences to vote for that very user, or go ahead and nominate another user to make things more competitive and interesting.
3153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 29, 2021, 05:34:28 PM
I think it would be a good option and actually I feel like this should have been done last season.
other than that maybe at another club ziyech will get more time to play
I also think it's good for Ziyech if he moves on to another team, I actually hate it when players are constantly benched by their managers and they still opt to stay, I know as a footballer playing in a big club like Chelsea, there is always bound to be a lot of competition, and you actually have to fight for a place in the team, so it could make sense if you stay and try to make the manager believe in you, but if you do all that and it's not still working, week in, week out you don't play, then the best thing for your career is to move to another team were you can get playing time, and obviously Ziyech needs playing time to get back to his best.
3154  Economy / Economics / Re: The link between Bitcoin and the economy on: December 29, 2021, 05:03:54 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that is not controlled by any one individual or government that is why it is referred to as decentralized currency, secondly, Bitcoin is an asset just like gold that the reason most people adopt it for its economic benefits.
It is because of Bitcoins decentralized status and the inability of the government to control it that many govts do not like it and want to regulate/sanction it every given time, thus Bitcoin can't be said to have a direct influence/effect on national economy, for the individual who's prolly trying to escape fiat inflation and wants to personally control their funds, then Bitcoin can come in very handy. Having said that, I'm not really of the view that there should be a particular way people should use their Bitcoin, the way they use it doesn't really matter, so long as they do and contribute to its mass adoption, growth and of course development.
3155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: December 29, 2021, 04:18:08 PM
2021 is almost over and attention is gradually shifting to 2022 and most investors are already on the look for the next altcoin for profitable interest in 2022 lots of them are now going into metaverse and others rely on NFTs for 2022.
It's that time of the year again, when investors are going to start making predictions/top picks of the new year, mind you that you shouldn't invest in a coin cause others are doing so, you should only invest cause you believe in that project and you have made the requisite research into the project and consider it good. Characteristically, many investors are going to make mistakes, choose the wrong coins and only invest out of hype, thus if you copy them, you'll also bear the loss that will follow. Mind you also that when users suggest coins for one to invest in, more often than not, they are hodlers of such project, and are trying to hype/pump it, you could be allured to buy it then, whilst others that have been holding for a while take their profits and it dumps on you.
3156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A meme worth understanding... on: December 29, 2021, 03:27:20 PM
Makes me wonder sometimes if people don't reason about the implications of doing something before they start doing it and it always end the wrong way for them just like faketoshi that was recently caught and arrested....seems pretty stupid!
The thing you must know is that there would always be gullible people who believe whatever they hear without even verifying its authenticity, and that's why individuals who spread lies, rumors, negativity and fud about Bitcoin continue to do so, if we are in a contemporary society were everyone makes an attempt to garner a little bit of knowledge through research, then most of this liars would have stopped doing what they are doing. It's almost similar to how Elon Musk most times makes negative tweets about Bitcoin, and it goes on to influence quite a lot of peoples decision about the network, sometimes even moving people to panic and causing a plunge in the price of Bitcoin, this is only possible cause most people just believe/trust what other say, especially when they take such person to be smart, rich and established, if more people concentrate in doing their own research, then a lot of what this "fake" people say would become inconsequential.
3157  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. population grew only 0.1% in 2021 lowest rate since nation's founding on: December 29, 2021, 03:00:30 PM
I'm not from the U.S., and I can't really gauge how things are over there, thus I'd use my country as a case study, in my country that happens to be a developing country, population growth does not seem to be slowing down that much, over here people are less concerned with things like overpopulation, it's very common to see families who can barely feed comfortably having more than three children, driving the population up. That's not just the problem, the thing is that there is little or not resources to cater for the citizens, yet the burst in population continues, in my opinion, developing countries need a check in their population more than developed countries, I mean, the least thing a country with a struggling economy needs is more citizens to provide jobs for, good healthcare, basic amenities, etc, there really should be more and more sensitization on controlled population in nations that are poor, but sadly, their government rarely cares about that, and is more concerned with embezzlements and making their personal pockets fat.
3158  Other / Meta / Re: Question for all moderators on: December 29, 2021, 02:26:46 PM
Do you delete a post or lock a topic every time you are wrong, is that a real solution?
The forum doesn't offer any direct service to users per se, other than providing this platform for us to discuss like we're doing now, it's establishments that come to the forum to offer their services, and yes they can be wrong, fraudulent, scammy etc, and you can air your grievances against them to prolly warn other users about them and so they get a negative rating, but even in doing so, you must follow the forum rules, for example if you post an accusation against a company in the B&H section, it'll be moved to scam accusation board, it does not mean the forum is wrong, it's just the due process and mods have to follow it adequately, just like in your case.
Is this forum made for people to help each other or just to promote some sites and bookmakers?
I think it's primarily for discussing about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and of course other whatnots. But cause the forum is really "big" and houses a lot of users, establishments wish to promote their services here, which till now is allowed.
Is it real for you to support and continue to advertise bookmakers like 1xbit? A boomaker that has scamed thousands of people, they can still be promoted and advertised.
There's an axiom of 'do your own research', and it does not apply only to the forum, but all your crypto activities, it's up to every user to do their research about any service/site they come across on the forum, if you're scammed it's on you and not the forum, but if there's an establishment that's proven to be fraudulent, then they'll receive negative ratings from DT members to warn users about them, thus any user who does his research will see such rating and steer clear, that's the importance of DYOR.
3159  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: December 29, 2021, 12:40:17 PM
Digital assets is indeed for holding but not everyone are in a fit position to hold even if they want to, I've been in this space for years now and I can say that you need to be prepared financially to hold coins and tokens successfully for a long period of time, you have to have job secured first, I mean enough to carry you on, then you will hold with ease
I second that, and that's the more reason why people are advised to only invest what they can afford to lose, and not put into crypto, or any investment whatsoever, the funds that they need to get things done in real life, such moves could prove too costly as such individual could have no choice but to sell their assets even when they have made no profits or even made loss. To be honest, personally I would not advise anyone to hodl anything, it is a personal decision, one that an individual must only make after he or she has assessed his financial situation and personal income, in as much as assets/investments can produce profits, it can also bring losses, as a result of that one must be cautious before investing or hodling too long.
3160  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: December 28, 2021, 04:14:23 PM
This kept me wondering why one would even think of investing if they don't have the patient to hold. If you can't develop the hold attitude then the best option is to do a physical business where you can monitor your profit and see them come in regularly. If it must be crypto then you must be willing to hold and wait
Mind you that even as a business man or woman, you do not immediately start to make profits after setting up your business, in the normal sense of things, you must have spent funds before being able to start a business, thus when you kick off, the funds you actually earn at that point in time is actually what was spent to set up the business, profits can be said to be on the table when you have covered up your capital spent in setting up your business.

Having said that, whatever one does that pertains to business, investment, etc, it requires patience and time, but I'm afraid, it's not actually every asset that is worth hodling for the long period, like for example, in crypto, altcoins aren't long term investment, if you hold them for too long, there are chances you'll make zero returns as they could dump on you, thus what I'm saying is, even in the 'hodling/patience game', you must make sure it's an asset with a use case, something that's sustainable for the long period, then you can be rest assured you're holding something worth, but if it isn't, then do well to sell the moment you get good ROI.
